Before leaving for his plane, we managed to ask our hometown fighter a few questions regarding his up and coming match over in Tokyo. "I have never left St. Petersburg, and this is all new to me. Regardless I will come back with my head held high regardless of the result". Those were the last words from 'The Man' before he left for Japan, from the tone of his voice there is no doubt that he is trying to hide the fact that he is nervous before his first real test next Thursday, but let's hope he prove that matches is not won on papers and give the audiences and his local supporters a spectacular showing of heart and courage regardless how hyped up his opponent may be. Our best wishes from St. Petersburg to Tokyo next Thursday.
