Island Combat 2 review
This is the review for the ten fights in Island Combat 2.

The first fight was in the Bantamweight division between Darko Cruz and Pipis Skatias. An early combination by Pipis managed to cut Darko. Darko then goes into an clinch can’t do much there then is taken down by a double leg takedown. Pipes then escapes from his grasp. The rest of the fight Pipis is staying away from Darko’s Takedowns and countering him with strikes which gives him more points. Pipes also is landing mores trikes in while the short time, the fight is left standing. This is why Pipis won by decision.

The second fight was in the Featherweight division between Marius Gladius and Patrick Krupok. Both fighters looked for early takedowns without any luck. Gladys then counters an punch then takes Patrick down into his guard. Gladys then latches on an kimura lock which causes Patrick to tap at 0:58 of the first round. That fight was quick!

The third fight was in the Middleweight division between Jesi Inder and Leonardo Leite. Leonardo goes for an early takedown and brings Jessi down with an trip, landing in Jesi’s guard. Leonardo remain dominant and stars from there. They are then stood up by the ref, but shortly after another Leonardo takedown. Leonardo then flys with an continuous trip of many different submission attempts, but he continues to stay dominant in half guard. Leonardo then goes into the beginning of the second round catches Jessi sleeping with an easy takedown. Then from here he ends the fight with an Guillotine submission in 1:56 of the second round.

The fourth fight was in the Lightweight division featuring Jesse Enkamp and Dave Tran. Encamp uses a lot of early kicks to the leg, and torso. The whole first round was standing where Dave missed a lot of tried takedowns. After these attempts he was rewarded with an countered leg kick for his efforts. This continues with Encamp only landing kicks to the torso and leg. Then the second round begins. This round look completely like the first with Enkamp scoring loads of kicks to Dave’s torso and leg. But the fight picks up in round three when Encamp lands an perfect punch after an failed takedown attempt cutting dave causing some bleeding. Dave is very tired at this point, but much of the same for the rest of the fight.

The fifth fight was in the Lightweight division featuring Jake Blake and Anthony Graham. Jake Blake uses the outside of the cage moving around to keep away from Anthony’s strikes. The he lands an takedown in Graham’s guard. Blake then goes for two leg submissions but does not land them. they are then stood up because  of lack of action. Blake then takes the fight into clinch, after three stuffed takedown attempts. graham then goes into he attack, but manages to not land any strikes, but is know in dominant position so Blake cannot perform an takedown. Then Blake finally manages an takedown into guard position. He then looks for an leg bar and triangle submission but Graham escapes them. An close round but Graham will probably get more points. The second round starts with an jab to the torso from Blake controlling him for an distance. Blake then follows this with an nice head kick that causes an bleeding cut. At this point both fighters are exhausted especially seen with three in the row failed takedown attempts by Blake. Graham then clinches with Blake. Later he throws an left punch that Blake just walks into, and Blake is rocked! Graham then finishes an wobbling Blake with an jab, left hook, then straight that knock’s down Blake. Then he comes, and finishes him on the ground with an uppercut.

The sixth fight was in the Middleweight division between Joseph Vendables and Andy Fitzgerald. It’s into the clinch very early in the fight where Fitzgerald lands some torso strikes and tries to stall it. Then he goes for the head with many different strikes. With time of this a lt of head strikes from Andy causes an cut to Vendables. He then tries to land strikes to the head, then pushes Fitzgerald to the cage. More continuous head and torso shots from Fitzgerald where Vendables fails to not land many strikes. Fitzgerald owned the first round for sure. The second round starts with Fitzgerald moving into click early on. He then continues to go for the head, but also try to stall the fight as well. Then Vendables break the clinch which leads to an intense time of both fighters striking each other. Vendables then gets rocked by an decent strike by Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald then brings the fight into clinch, here he finishes the fight with an uppercut when he makes some space in the clinch.

The seventh fight was in the Heavyweight division featuring Micheal Campion and Heath Herring. Campion counters an punch then performs an takedown to side control. Campion goes for a few submission attempts but Herring has good defense and escapes. Herring then comes back with an takedown into half guard showing some athleticism. Campion then escapes from the ground. Campion then gets an takedown where he dominates for the rest of the round with many submission attempts, that cause no taps. The second round then starts with an counter takedown attempt that lands, with an double leg takedown. Campion then goes for an armor submission, but he cannot cause an tap, with Herring slipping out. Herring then flips the ground game and goes into top option. From here he goes into an kimura but it does not cause an tap. the Micheal Campton wins the match by unanimous decision.

The eight fight is in the Heavyweight division between Theodore Thundercunt and Ohto Alanko. Thundercunt is moving around nicely an lands an nice single shot. Thundercunt is the wrong end of a cross and gets cut. Thundercunt then uses some nice footwork and dodges some strikes by Alanko. Alanko then comes in with an powerful strike that causes Thundercunt to be cut. Alanko tries to control with an body shot, then uses an clinch, but is broken in the middle of the mat. Thundercunt then moves in with an clinch. This clinch was what happened throughout the third round. Alanko slipped many strikes and threw many successful strikes.

The ninth fight was an Heavyweight title bout between Zui Quan Tso and Illumari Kuusi. Tso forces Illumari against the cage and tries for three takedowns but fails. Illumari also missed with an takedown. Illumari then feints an punch and lands an successful takedown and works the triangle. Tso also works some ground an pound, then gets into the dominant position. Quasi then makes some distance and lands some strikes looking to finish. Tso leaves one of his arms exposed and Kuusi takes advantage with an armor that latches on causing an tap in the first round.

The main event of this evening is a title bout in the Welterweight division. It is between Jake Belcher and Tapio Sammalkorpi. Tap shoots for a takedown but misses, then jake performs an successful double leg takedown into guard. Belcher then almost gets countered, and Tapio tries to escape. But then Tapio misses with some strikes and Jake cannot leave the position. Tap then lands some nice ground and pound strikes. Tapio then looks for an kimura but misses and lands some nice ground and pound strikes. Then it is the end of the round. The second round starts with Jake landing an nice takedown. There is an scramble and Tapio is now on top guard. Tap then looks for many different submission attempts, and finally lands an armor that finishes the fight.
