Jay: Hey there, welcome to yet another episode of your favorite org's team of fight predictors. And this week on Ray & Jay's Excellent MMA Adventures we discuss the upcoming event UPF 34: Kordic Vs. Bum. This one has amazing written all over it! I can't wait! I think it just might have the highest rating since we have re-opened. We will have to wait and see. Well let's get right down to it. Fight 1, pops now I know you normally start, but I was thinking I would go ahead and do this one. Ok?

Ray: Sure thing, kiddo.

Jay: Alrighty then, Andrey "Spartan" Koreshkov and Hank Olamon are scheduled for 3 five minute rounds in the light-heavyweight division. Spartan is a submission specialist with all his wins by way of submission, and Hank will need to avoid going to the mat with him. Olamon is a boxer with tremendous power, there is a rumor that during his amateur career Olamon accidentally killed a man with a blow to the head, headgear and all. I wouldn't wanna get hit by that man, I'll tell ya. I don't think the spartan can withstand the awesome power of Olamon. Olamon by KO in round 1.
Ray: First I let me say that I too am really excited about the weekends card, should be a great night of fights. I don't know if you've heard it Jay, but rumor has it that Mr. Saw is going to be attending the after party and that excites me too, because I'm gonna ask for a raise.
Jay: Yeah he's at every after party. And remember what happened to the last guy who asked for a raise? Fred Meyer I think was his name. Haven't heard from him since, just saying!
Ray: Alright, down to business. First I wanna let you know that that rumor about Olamon killing a guy isn't true, I was there when it happened and the guys still in a coma. They say he might recover and it's only been a year. So when you talk about Olamon's power you hit the nail on the head. I mean in his last fight he threw one combo and called it a night. But I think he has a suspect chin. Last week a 16 yr old bantamweight accidentally knocked him out while sparring. Koreshkov is mainly a ground fighter who looks for submissions. So I'm going to go ahead and go with Olamon on this one.

Predictions
Jay: Olamon by KO at 0:21 of round 1.
Ray: Olamon by KO at 0:12 or round 1.

Ray: The second fight of the evening pits two bantamweight fighters against each other. Eliitti Paavo and Waldo Claudiano will go toe to toe for a scheduled 3 five minute rounds. Waldo has been struggling lately, finally getting his first win in his last outing. Paavo with be making his first UPF appearance and wants to make an impression. I think Eliitti will be too much for Waldo the week. Eliitti by KO round 2.
Jay: Waldo is a man of many talents, it's just too bad that winning isn't one of them. His last win was a fluke. Won't happen again. Eliitti by KO in round 1.

Predictions
Ray: Paavo by KO at 1:51 of round 2.
Jay: Paavo by KO at 2:31 of round 1.

Jay: Andrew Ellis is a great fighter. One of my favorite kinds of fighters, ground and pound specialist. He lands a very high percentage of his strikes from the ground as well, an astonishing 88%. But as good as he is on the ground doesn't matter if he can't get the takedown. Samuel Nasma is one of the shortest fighters at middleweight in the UPF, standing 5'10, which really isn't that short but UPF has a lot of tall fighters. Nasma doesn't have the wrestling skills to stop Ellis' takedowns and will be another victim of the ground and pound. Ellis by TKO (Ground and Pound) in round 2.
Ray: Both of these fighters seem to prefer fighting on the ground. But I think Nasma will take a different approach for this fight. I see Nasma making Ellis waste all of his energy going for takedowns while he outscores his in the stand up. When the fight does go the ground, and it will, Nasma will hold his own on the ground. Nasma by decision.

Predictions
Jay: Ellis by TKO at 3:41 of round 2.
Ray: Nasma by Decision.

Ray: The final fight on the undercard see two welterweights brawl for three rounds. Edwin "Deep Wound" Kjaer will face Hammer "Thumper" Hands. These fighters are very evenly matched. Although I could see this fight going either way. I believe Hammer Hands will ultimately get the "W." Hammer Hands didn't seem happy about the new UPF rankings and badly wants to improve his standing. I think Hammer Hands will win the stand up battle but will end up winning by submission in round 3.
Jay: Kjaer is a badass Maui Thai specialist with a mean clinch. I'd say Hammer does stand a chance. But that's about it, a chance. Kjaer will take this one into the clinch and that's all she wrote. Kjaer by TKO in round 2.

Predictions
Ray: Hands by Submision at 3:01 of round 3.
Jay: Kjaer by TKO at 1:21 of round 2.

Jay: We start the maincard off with a light-heavyweight bout between #11 Brian "The Hunter" Allan and #6 "Cardinal" Luis Cardoza. The Cardinal is eager to welcome the new blood to the octagon as Allan makes his debut here. Having seen moderate success fighting in QFC's, Allan decided it was time to step into an organization and face proper competition. Allan faces a tough decision, stand and bang with a better Maui Thai/boxer or go to the ground with a better Jui Jitsu fighter? Allan needs to work his wrestling to his advantage. But in the end I see Cardoza with his hand raised. Cardoza by sub in round 2.
Ray: Oh no. It looks like you forgot to take your smart pill today, but don't worry Jay, to be honest they weren't working anyway. Cardoza doesn't stand a chance in this one, Allan will ground and pound his way to an easy TKO victory in round 2.

Predictions
Jay: Cardoza by Submission at 3:59 of round 2.
Ray: Allan by TKO at 1:24 in round 2.

Ray: Next up is a welterweight bout between #4 Toal Kean Cionaoith and #11 "The Technician" Jeffrey Taylor. Taylor was disappointed his last time out, and unfortunately looks like he is in line for more disappointment. If he could manage to get to the ground then he could possibly pull off a sub, but I don't see that happening. Cionaoith will thwart his numerous takedown attempts and score a late first round knockout.
Jay: Well considering the fact that Taylor lands OVER 50% of his takedowns and Cionaoith gets taken down 32% of the time, I see Jeffrey eventually landing a takedown and using his expertise in BJJ to secure a submission victory in round 2.
Ray: Like I said, you forgot your smart pills.

Predictions
Ray: Cionaoith by KO at 4:39 of round 1.
Jay: Taylor by Submission at 3:21 of round 2.

Jay: This one should be a war as #4 Billy West takes on #5 Joe Quinn for 3 five minute rounds in the light-heavyweight division. West is another ground and pound specialist and Quinn is yet another boxing specialist. Keeping is simple. West by ground and pound in round 3. Still a war!
Ray: I think your right Jay, West could easily score a third round TKO, IF it were to make it to the third round. But I don't see that happening Quinn will be looking to put West away early. Quinn will be swinging hard and swinging often. Quinn has the power and I don't think West will be able to withstand the punishment Quinn will be dishing out. Quinn by KO in round 1.
Jay: Maybe you didn't hear the part about this one being a war. (Chuckles)

Predictions
Jay: West by TKO at 3:33 of round 3.
Ray: Quinn by KO at 1:00 of round 1.

Jay: We jump over to lightweight for the final maincard bout. #2 "General Butt Naked" Joshua Blahyi and #4 Anthony "Showtime" Placencia duke it out for 3 five minute rounds. I don't know if I've ever said this but General Butt Naked is as dumb of a nickname as I've ever heard and I hope he loses because of it. Enough said. Showtime by KO.
Ray: This is something I rarely do. But I honestly see this one ending in a draw. I don't think Showtime has the skills to KO Blahyi and I don't think Blahyi has the skills to tap out Placencia. I see Blahyi winning the first round, Placencia winning the second and they will both be too tired to do much in the last round.

Predictions
Jay: Placencia by KO at 4:59 of round 1.
Ray: Draw

Ray: Our first main event of the evening has the UPF featherweight champion of the world Tanner Pounds put his belt on the line against #1 contender Bung "Wrecktal" Popper. This should be a great fight, last time these two went five full rounds. Popper was not happy about losing his belt. He has been training up on his striking working up to this match. Although, I expect Popper to increase his striking accuracy in this fight. I don't think it will be enough to win. I see this fight going the distance with Pounds etching out a narrow victory. Closer than last but still Pounds by decision.
Jay: Pounds wasn't able to put Popper away in their first fight. That'll be different this time around. Pounds has been doing a lot of boxing sparring and will fare even better on the feet than last time but after securing the takedown Pounds will ground and pounds his opponent to death. Tanner Pounds his opponent into TKO in round 5 with one second left in the fight.

Predictions
Ray: Pounds by Decision.
Jay: Pounds by TKO at 4:59 of round 5.

Jay: And to follow that amazing fight will be yet another amazing fight as #1 contender and former champion Beach Bum tries to take his belt back from the light-heavyweight champion of the world John "Rambo" Kordic. Rambo took the belt from Phil High who took it from Bum. And Bum wants it back. Only problem is that Rambo is a beast of a man. I heard that once Rambo went to war with a small town, from what I heard he was just drifting through and the local law enforcement didn't like drifters and tried roughing him up. Rambo bailed on them and when they tried to capture him it didn't end too well for the town. He burnt it down. Now Bum wants to piss him off. Not smart. Rambo by KO in round 2.
Ray: You call Kordic a beast of a man, but I think he is only a paper champion. The problem for Kordic is you can't always rely on luck. Luck has favored the champion so far but his luck will run out this Saturday. Beach Bum will dominate this fight in all aspects and end up knocking the champ out in round 3.
Jay: Paper champion?!? And luck?!? (Laughs)

Predictions
Jay: Kordic by KO at 3:41 of round 2.
Ray: Bum by KO at 2:19 of round 3.

Jay: Well that's that. My pops doesn't know what he's talking about and I do so, yeah. Two title fights, two top contenders match ups, and obviously amazing fighters hence the name UPF. By the way our event's merchandise partner will be AnonymouS, great gear alway great prices. And the event has odds offered by UPF Sports Book and by Chain Gang Bookie they both offer great odds, so don't delay and place a bet today, hopefully you won't pay! Hey I'm a poet and didn't know it. That's it I'm done, dab time! (Stands up and walks off mumbling about dabs)
Ray: This is Ray, signing off 'til next week. See you then.
