Jay: Hey everyone and welcome to the new year and another edition of Ray & Jay's Excellent MMA Adventures. I'm Jay and here with me is my pops Ray. Now I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a fun New Year, I know I did. With the holidays over, we can finally get back to work. UPF 32: Batman Vs. Masters takes place Saturday at The Pipeline in Hilo.

Odds are offered at UPF Sports Book and Chain Gang Bookie. The event will be sponsored by UPF's official merchandise partners AnonymouS. Alright enough talk let's get right down to it. First fight, pops, what do you think?

Ray: First off, it's good to be back. Hope everybody's holidays were happy. Let's get down to business. This should be an incredible night of fights we start off with a 3 round fight between Richard Silva and Atticus Halo in the light-heavyweight division. We have two fighters making their UPF debut here. I really like this kid Silva. I've been following him since he was a teenager.

He had an impressive amateur record of 21-1 with 19 KO's, 15 in the first round. He's incredibly powerful. But I don't think he has ever been tested on the ground though. In his only loss he was tapped out by a blue belt, which concerns me. Halo has proven that he can take a punch but I don't think he has fought anyone with the kind of power that Silva has shown. I don't think Halo will be able to stand and bang with Silva and will need to take it to the ground, but his takedown skills don't impress me. Halo gets KO'd in the first.
Jay: I think your wrong pops.

Halo was a two time junior wrestling champion in multiple weights, with an awesome record of 14-0-1. He also did some boxing in high school, he was pretty good too. But, I don't think he has close to the boxing skill of Silva. Silva will attempt to "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee" but in reality he will float like a butterfly then get thrown onto his ass then Halo will pound on him to soften him up for the submission. Halo pops his cherry with a second round submission, if Silva doesn't knock him out first.

Predictions

Ray: Silva by KO at 4:20 of round 1.
Jay: Halo by Submission at 3:12 of round 2.

Jay: A couple more debutants in the second fight as Striker Mc Steel takes on Maris "Cold" Ponomarjovs for 3 five minute rounds in the featherweight division. Mc Steel was the Steel City amateur boxing champion before he decided to go pro. He had a rough start going 0-5, but didn't give up and next thing you know he was stringing together wins and fighting for the amateur belt. He is now 1-0 as a professional and is looking to extend that and get his first professional KO. Maris, on the other hand, never fought amateur fights at all and instead jumped right into the pros. Having a strong wrestling training program, Maris' gameplan will most likely be to go for the takedown. But with Mc Steel's amateur experience I don't see Maris landing a takedown. I see Striker striking his way to victory. Striker Mc Steel by KO early in round 1.
Ray: I think your totally off base. Mc Steel might have been a champion but what good is that when there if only like 10 fighters in the program. I'm unconvinced with Mc Steel's power, I see Maris scoring a takedown early in both the first two rounds and tapping out Mc Steel out in the second. Ponomarjovs by submission.

Predictions

Jay: Mc Steel by KO at 1:10 of round 1.
Ray: Ponomarjovs by Submission at 4:20 of round 2.

Ray: Next up is a undercard match up in the middleweight division. UPF veteran Vrushak Madhura will welcome debutant Adam "The Wolf" Wilk. The Wolf has a really strong ground game and will be looking to take this fight to the mat. Madhura hold a distinct advantage in the stand up, but he can handle himself on the ground just as well. I see this fight eventually ending up on the ground.

But, The Wolf will need a little more seasoning before tapping out the likes of Madhura. Experience will prove to be the deciding factor. Madhura by decision.
Jay: Hmmm. I see, said the blind man to the deaf dog as he pissed into the wind. (Laughs) See what I did there? Your the blind man pops. And you just pissed into the wind. (Laughs) Actually, I think your right about the winner. But, this fight won't hit the mat or go the distance. Madhura will get the KO in the second round.

Predictions

Ray: Madhura by Decision.
Jay: Madhura by KO at 4:45 of round 2.

Jay: Combo "Striker" King and Borat WawaWeeeeewaaaa, or however the f*ck you say his name, will go toe to toe for a scheduled 3 five minute rounds in the lightweight division. This is another veteran vs debutant in this one. But, I believe that King has bitten off more than he can chew. Borat comes into this one with a flawless record of 2-0 and will really test the more experienced fighter. Usually I'd give the edge to experience, but Borat will most likely walk right through King. Borat by KO in round 1.

Ray: WawaWeeeeewaaaa had an impressive showing in his last outing. It wouldn't surprise me to see him win another, but I really like Combo King. He looked so sharp in his workouts this week. Although, I could see this fight going either way, I'm going to go with experience again. King by KO in round 2.

Predictions

Jay: WawaWeeeeewaaaa by KO at 2:13 of round 1.
Ray: King by KO at 4:20 of round 2.

Ray: So we start the maincard off with a super-heavyweight bout, the undefeated Aaron Jules will go against the more experienced Mutant Morais. This fight is scheduled for 3 five minute rounds. I've watched Jules develop his whole career. Although, I never figured he would amount to a hill of beans, he has actually impressed me his last couple of outings. But, this Saturday he won't be up to the task. Morais will prove to be too much for Jules. Morais by KO in round 1.
Jay: Pops, you're forgetting the awesomeness that is Jules' power. Jules by KO early in round 1.

Predictions

Ray: Morais by KO at 4:20 of round 1.
Jay: Jules by KO at 1:13 or round 1.

Jay: We continue the maincard with a light-heavyweight bout with the former champion Phil High looking to get in line to get his belt back. Standing in his way is Lenny "Otto" Williams making his debut at the top level of the UPF. High will want to show Williams why he deserves to be the champion, while Williams will be taking Phil's place as #1 contender if he wins. Williams is a great fighter who can certainly hold his own in the octagon, but has gone on a little streak of bad luck and lost 3 of his last 4 fights. Under new management and looking to get back to the winners circle, Williams will have his hands full in this one. High will come out quick and come out strong, Williams won't be able to stop the onslaught that Phil will rain down on him. High by KO in round 1.
Ray: Finally something we can agree on. High is too much man for Williams. High by KO in round 1.

Predictions

Jay: High by KO at 1:55 of round 1.
Ray: High by KO at 4:20 of round 1.

Ray: I've been waiting for this fight for weeks. Torquil Bram will face Dwayne "D-Bo" Boskins in the super-heavyweight division. With "Too Sexy" gone AWOL Boskins is now officially my favorite fighter. I don't need to look at anything, records or stats, I KNOW Boskins will knock him out in the first round.
Jay: Let me guess, at 4:20 right? (Laughs)
Ray: Exactly!
Jay: Well hey, at least you're consistent. I like both these fighters and I'm at a toss up on who might win. I was talking with Bram in his gym while he was training last week, when I asked him about his future plans with UPF are he responded "Whatever you want from Bram, I'll do it." I'm not exactly sure what that meant, but I think it was along the lines of I'll fight anyone. I also went to Cozad Gym Los Angeles and spoke with Boskins. Boskins had this to say "I am excited my deadbeat manager finally sprung for a personal private jet" when I asked him what he is most excited about. If Boskins wants to get to the top of the division he will to get better training. Bram by KO.

Predictions

Ray: Boskins by KO at 4:20 or round 1.
Jay: Bram by KO at 2:37 of round 2.

Jay: The final maincard bout is a classic striker vs grappler match up as Muay Thai specialist "Bate Pepo" Peter Angelov and the BJJ practitioner Snake Jackson square off for 3 five minute rounds in the welterweight division. Peter is coming off a good showing but disappointing loss to champion Bruce Wayne. This won't be the first time these two meet in the octagon, both of these fighters hold a victory over each other and finally get to settle it once and for all in the rubber match, who is the better fighter? Snake won the first fight by sub at only 38 seconds into the fight. Angelov won the second by KO at only 32 seconds in. Now we get to finally see who is better. I think it will be a quick fight either way. And since I'm not sure as to who, I'll pull out an old Jay trick, (reaches into his pocket and pulls out a quarter) Heads is Angelov. (Flips the coin) Tails. Jackson by submission in round 1.
Ray: You were a little long winded there, so I'll keep it short and simple. Angelov by KO in round 2.

Predictions

Jay: Jackson by Submission at 0:42 of round 1.
Ray: Angelov by KO at 4:20 of round 2.

Ray: And now for the first main event of the evening. David Cain will challenge Kenton "KO" Okunaba for the UPF heavyweight championship of the world. Okunaba has been a great champion, key words there are "has been." I believe Cain will use his awesome power to score a knockout and take his rightful place as the UPF heavyweight champion of the world. Cain by KO in round 4.
Jay: Say what?!? Maybe you didn't realize who was fighting, Kenton "KO" Okunaba. There is no way, not in a million years could Cain ever beat Okunaba. Okunaba will show Cain just how outmatched he is come Saturday. Okunaba by KO in round 2.

Predictions

Ray: Cain by KO at 4:20 of round 4.
Jay: Okunaba by KO at 2:22 of round 2.

Jay: And now for the fight that we have all been anticipating, the UPF's reigning, defending, undefeated, undisputed welterweight champion of the world, Bruce "Batman" Wayne will put his belt up for grabs. AJ "Masters" The Perfectionist is the man that is next in line and will step up to the challenge. Bruce was overheard saying this about his opponent "Batmans ears were stretched out by a girl.....could it be Batgirl has a thing for Batman? And is Robin gonna be jealous?" I only assume he was referring to Masters as Robin. AJ isn't phased by the champion though and will give it his all, Batman better be ready to work the clinch because AJ is a beast in Muay Thai. Batman will have the toughest fight of his career thus far. But I believe in Bats and his skills, hell the only man that Superman only trusts to stop him is Batman, so he must have some badass skills we will never see in the octagon. (Chuckles) Batman by KO in round 3.
Ray: I think that AJ has a better shot against the champ the any of his previous challengers. But, I've learned my lesson about going against Batman. Batman by KO in round 2.

Predictions

Jay: Wayne by KO at 0:27 of round 3.
Ray: Wayne by KO at 4:20 of round 2.

Jay: (Chuckles) Finally jumping on the Batman band wagon, huh? (Chuckles) Well there you have it, title fights and more. An amazing night of fights are in store and I can't wait. AnonymouS will be sponsoring the event. You can bet on these fights at both UPF Sports Book and Chain Gang Bookie. So that's it, good luck to all the fighters on the card, now it's time for a dab. Peace, I'm out.
Ray: Until next week, this is Ray, signing off!
