LIGHTWEIGHT: Blind Shaman (9-2-1) vs Miguel Escrima (8-4)

WELTERWEIGHT: Juntusen Viljo (10-4) vs Jericho Hill (7-3)

LIGHTWEIGHT: Alexsandro De Souza (10-2) vs Temudjin Khaan (11-4)

BANTAMWEIGHT: Vincent Oketch (15-7) vs Diagoro Yabaisama (7-0)

MAIN CARD

WELTERWEIGHT: Kim II Sung (12-7) vs Jeremy Dunham (12-9)

After a successful debut at 170 pounds in LEGACY, Jeremy Dunham looks like he may have found a home. Dunham struggled mightily in Insanity at 155 pounds after previously finding success at 170 pounds in the Hostility promotion. Dunham will have to deal with a veteran in the promotion in the shape of Kim II Sung. Sung is a middling 4-3 so far in the promotion with all 4 wins coming by way of submission. When you watch Sung fight, you can tell he isn’t just a black belt on paper. In 21 career fights, Dunham has never been submitted, but he’ll get his stiffest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu test in this fight. A win in this fight would make Jeremy Dunham a legitimate contender in only two LEGACY! fights, while Sung has to wonder if a pink slip could be behind the door if he were to lose this fight and fall to just 4-4 since joining the promotion.

BANTAMWEIGHT: William Blake (13-4) vs Barack Obama (8-2)

After a very brief stint as LEGACY! Bantamweight champion, William Blake is now back in the contenders hunt after losing a unanimous decision fight against Edward Brown for the title. It was a rather ugly fight for Blake, who lost all 5 rounds according to multiple judges. The difference in that fight was the ground game. Blake was taken down and hit with some vicious ground and pound at multiple points of the fight. This fight against Barack Obama will be a rematch from not long ago when Blake easily won a unanimous decision victory. Since then, Obama has reeled off a couple wins in a row, running his record to 3-1 inside the promotion. Avenging his earlier loss to William Blake should put Obama in the thick of the title picture. The only downside is that Blake dominated the first matchup on the ground, as well as on the feet. Obama had no answer for the takedowns or smooth boxing from Blake. He’ll have to find one if he hopes to pull off a victory in this one.

SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: © John Bunting (35-14) vs Mookie Blaylock (28-10)

John Bunting has been a star in every promotion he’s fought in. At 35 years old, he captured the LEGACY! Super Heavyweight title in just his first fight in the promotion. After losing the first round on all 3 judges’ scorecards, Bunting bounced back to win the next 4 rounds behind some great boxing and a couple timely takedowns. Bunting will once again have the wrestling advantage in this fight, but Mookie Blaylock is as dangerous as any striker in MMA right now. An impressive second round TKO win over Phillip Dyson in his debut, led Blaylock to his first title fight in over 3 years. At 31 years old, Blaylock is stepping into his prime as a fighter, but if he’s to have any shot at uncrowning Bunting as champion, he’ll have to keep this fight standing and use his tremendous power to get the job done. Bunting doesn’t gas and is a nightmare in the later rounds for this 265+ pound division.

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Simba Burns Jr (31-16) vs Tim Smith (15-5)

In the co-main event of the evening, Simba Burns Jr is making his debut in LEGACY! after a storied career that resulted in him being a three time champion in the BMP promotion. At 39 years old, one has to wonder how much Burns has in the tank, but he definitely still has the amazing wrestling and Muay Thai kicking that made him a champion in his younger years. Tim Smith is riding high after a very impressive TKO win in the first round in his debut last time out. Smith is another elite wrestler, but he also has a lot of power in his hands. Smith has won 5 straight fights since losing his title in the DSC promotion. Both of these guys have great pedigrees in the sport, but a loss in this spot could really set either fighter back. One would expect the wrestling in this fight to cancel out and the fight to be between the boxing of Smith and the Muay Thai of Burns.

MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: © Cid Strife (13-1) vs Ed Gennero (16-7)

With just four combined fights in the LEGACY! promotion, our main event will showcase two middleweights who aren’t as well-known as they should be. Cid Strife was a dominant champion in the Imperial organization with 7 successful title defenses before leaving. In title fights, Strife is a staggering 9-0 and is only 25 years of age. To say he is the cream of the crop at this weight class is unnecessary. Former LFC champion Ed Gennero is coming off two amazing KO victories in as many fights inside the promotion. A spinning backfist KO put him on the map in his debut fight and another early first round KO win against John Altare last time out, put him in the title picture. Gennero has only 3 decisions in 23 career fights. He’s always game to engage in a firefight even if he’s at a disadvantage. The key to this fight will be if Strife will indulge Gennero. If not, the champion should be able to pick his spots and pick up the judge’s decision victory.
