Main Event: Rhust vs Dundee (Welterweight Championship)
Undisputed Welterweight Champion Liyak Rhust defended his most prized possession against the previously unbeaten Bruce Dundee.
This headlining bout marked Rhusts second defence of his title, cementing his name as one of VCCs all-time greats. Rhust has racked up an impressive five Vanquish Combat Club wins since his loss on debut in VCC 3.
Rhust dominated the fight against the home grown Australian hero, Bruce Dundee, successfully taking the fight to the ground numerous times throughout the fight. Whilst on the ground Rhust was able to land tremendous damage via an impressive array of ground and pound strikes.
As the fight progressed Dundee became more and more inhibited by fatigue therefore Rhust found it increasingly less difficult to bring him down to the mat. Here he was able to inflict maximum damage on his worn down opponent. Ultimately meaning the scorecard was weighted, unarguably, in his favour - claiming a unanimous decision win.
