Hi MMA world here is Victorio and I am bringing the review of HMFL last event - 3th revolution. This was a great event as I expected folks. Only two fights went to Cecil Peoples in sold out Hard Knocks arena. That was a fan-pleasing event I‘ve to say! Right now let‘s take a look at the review of the fights!

LW bout: Carlos Meira vs Jon Melcher

Meira was on beast mode man! He clinched Melcher right after the bell and started cutting Melcher with elbow strikes. Meira then got a takedown but got stood up by the ref and Meira resumed his MT disaster. He clinched and he kept the pace on, smashing and cutting Melcher with knees and elbows. After three minute mark of the fight, Meira hurt Melcher with a huge knee to the head! Melcher still hanging on but shortly after Meira hurt him with knees again! Melcher just covering up and ref had to stop the fight. That‘s a MT clinic folks!

Result: Meira def. Melcher via TKO at 3:28 of round 1

HW bout: Master Wong vs Piotr Smietana

Wong showed off his slick ground work and brutal GnP in this one. Wong got a nice takedown early but Smietana swept him with no effort. Smietana held the top position for roughly one and a half minute and Wong hooked his legs and got the back! That‘s one crafty move man. Wong then unloading bombs from back mount and Smietana was knocked out cold by one huge shot from Wong! Dang Wong had some serious power!

Result: Wong def. Smietana via KO at 3:31 of round 1

BW bout: Jake Nelson vs Yves Jabouin

Not as I expected, Nelson was unable to keep Jabouin on the mat and got beaten up on the feet. Both men exchanged some good shots in the first two minutes but Nelson was cut by one Jabouin‘s strike. In roughly 2:30 mark, Jabouin knocked Nelson down with a big right hand! Nelson got up but he was rocked and he was cut even worse. Jabouin then got a clinch and wanted to finish it there. Nelson didn‘t want to get finished and desperately pulled guard. Anyway he was unable to find success with his submission attempts before the round ended.

Nelson was still wobbly in the second round. Jabouin‘s momentum was huge after the dominant first round. He was getting more and more confident and he knocked Nelson down in roughly 40 second mark with a head kick! Nelson had a hell of a chin, got back up but really wobbly on the feet. Jabouin showed no mercy and he kicked Nelson to the head again! Nelson was out and the fight was over!

Result: Jabouin def. Nelson by TKO at 0:54 of round 2

HW bout: Bartholomew Roberts vs Arnie McDougle

Roberts scored a fantastic KO that night.
McDougle got the clinch early but Roberts made him pay with an uppercut that cut him. McDougle then pulled guard and swept Roberts and got on top. Both men weren‘t effective with their GnP attacks during the ground battle so the ref stood them up. McDougle got the clinch right after the stand up but he paid for it again. Roberts got through his short punches nicely and cut McDougle badly. McDougle then got a very nice takedown to side control but the damage was all down by Roberts in the opening frame.

The whole tide was changed in the second round, Roberts knocked McDougle right after the bell rang! McDougle hasn‘t done yet and got the clinch by instinct. McDougle tried his best and landed a takedown but Roberts reversed easily and got back up against the hurt foe. Roberts was just relentless on the feet right now, he hurt McDougle with a right hand and connected a huge three punch combo that knocked him out cold! Wow!

Result: Roberts def. McDougle by KO at 0:58 of round 2

MW bout: Jukebox Timebmb vs Amin Sax

Sax dominated Timebmb in this fight. Timebmb got the clinch early but Sax was a strong individual, taking Timebmb down with a nice trip. Sax was finding submissions on top. After being on top for 4 minutes, Timebmb landed a sweep but Sax swept him back shortly after. That‘s a dominant round for Sax.

Despite being outworked in the first round, Timebmb looked strong early in the second frame, landing kicks and punches and mixed them up with a takedown but Sax was far more superior grappler so Timebmb should just stayed on the feet. Sax got Timebmb‘s back from bottom right after the takedown and relentless looking for the RNC. And the second attempt got it! Slick Jiu-Jitsu by Sax I bet Marcelo Garcia would be proud of ya!

Result: Sax def. Timebmb by submission at 1:52 of round 2

HW bout: Quintus Daedalus vs Donny Davis

I was all wrong predicting this one. Davis owned him bad in this fight. Davis cut Daedalus early in first round and dominated him on the feet before he got taken down in two minute mark. After a minute they got stood back up and Davis beat him up ‘till the end of the round.

The second round was all Davis. Daedalus was unable to get a takedown and Davis just kept punching, kicking and cutting his victim for 5 minutes.

Daedalus looked better in the last frame, got a takedown after one minute mark but got stood back up after a minute. Daedalus would never give up as he scored another takedown but Davis stood up easily and resumed his attacks for the rest minute.

Daedalus was tough as nail but Davis was just a machine. Daedalus did land some takedowns but his offense was lacking so the ref stood them up quick everytime Daedalus got a takedown. That‘s why Davis got the dominant win.

Result: Davis def. Daedalus by UD

LHW bout: Kalle Natsisiwa vs Tarmo Goyf

Bang bang! This fight went as I expected. Natsisiwa‘s bad headkick defense exposed once again against the kicking master Goyf. Goyf knocked him down with a headkick in 10 seconds and crocop‘d him shortly after. It just spent 21 seconds ladies and gentlemen!

Result: Goyf def. Natsisiwa by KO at 0:21 of round 1

LW bout: Miguel Lopez vs Auguste Grimm

That‘s a close scrap, really close man. The first round was exciting as two world class LWs exchanging strikes on the feet. They were too evenly matched in this aspect so I have no idea to score this round.

Lopez did way better in this round, landing some solid body punches. I believe those punching were slowing Grimm down but not. Grimm was still fresh coming to the final round. Both men exchanging strikes for two minutes before Grimm got the clinch and pulled guard. Anyway Lopez pushed him and got back up. Both men still looking to land shots before the bell rang. That‘s close I must say.

Two judges scored it for Grimm and one scored it a draw. Grimm was the winner by MD!

Result: Grimm def. Lopez by MD

Co-main event

LHW bout: Shawn Geissen vs Alvin Ray Dunkin

Seemed like my predicting skills stink. Both men fought a close first round, cutting eachother‘s head. They just unloading different strikes to head, body and leg throughout the opening round but Dunkin turned it on in the second round, knocked Geissen down with a big right hand early! Geissen was rocked badly but he just kept swinging. Dunkin showed no mercy against the wobbly Geissen, knocked him down again and finished it off in 1:42 mark of second round. This would be a great battle if Geissen had better defense or chin.

Result: Dunkin def. Geissen by TKO at 1:42 of round 2

MAIN EVENT

Kirk Boon vs Django Brown

The main event only lasted a round. Boon got a takedown early and kept attempting submission but Brown was having none of those attempts and hit a reversal against his relentless foe. Boon still active on bottom and kept reaching his legs to Brown‘s head and neck but Brown was composed on top and got back to his feet. Brown thought Boon wasn‘t an easy opponent to deal with on the mat so he chose to stand and bang and he was right with the decision. On the feet, Brown was careful stuffing and countering Boon‘s takedown attempts effectively and He landed a huge head kick that dropped Boon before the bell rang! He finished it off with strikes and the ref stopped the fight 1 second left to the end of first round! That one good event closing finish!

Result: Brown def. Boon by TKO at 4:59 of round 1

Woohoo! What a satisfying event to watch fight fans! We have many exciting battles and cool finishes. I hope the next event would be even better than that. See you guys on the next event‘s preview!
