What: Congratulations to Marcin Kowalski on his victory over Eduardo Santos on Friday night. You have to be happy about picking up the win right Marcin?
 
Kowalski: First of all, I want to apologize for my English but it's not my main language and I need to practice it.  And about the question.

Yea, I'm happy but not very much. It was very, very boring fight and I can't lie about it. Of course it's not Eduardo fault, he's a great fighter and very dangerous on the ground. 

He has a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and my staff prepared gameplan for me... Very boring gameplan, but You know, it's not just my win, it's about all my staff and I can't disappoint them. 

After first round i told to my corner that I can do some more, that my wresting is much better then his, that I can do some show, maybe even go for knockout, but they said to my to calm down, that I'm winning and it's his job to do some more. 

After that for rest of the fight my corner just saying: "Don't go aggressive!", "Do your gameplan!". 

**laugh** They know that i want to do some more but they keep me cold.
 
What: Well it sounds like your corner definitely have your best interests at heart and they were able to help you secure the win. 

Have your and your staff discussed making a statement in future fights, or is winning the only thing on your minds?
 
Kowalski: No, we have not. I'm focusing on current fight, on present and my staff don't want to distract me so We all thinking only on current fight. 

And I think it's good because if I will have some goals and there something will happen that will ruined that goals I will probably have depression. So for me it's healthy thinking.
 
What: Your next fight will be against Mel Gordon who was also successful at Highland Challenges 1. How do you see this fight going?
 
Kowalski: Yeah, he's dangerous striker who likes to fight in the clinch and I'm a great wrestler, maybe even the best  in this division. It's going to be classic match up against striker and a grappler. 

Every fight starts on stand up but I think that I can take him down and then do my job, every one know what my game plan is for this fight, where I can win. 

I'm not afraid about clinch because I can take people down even from there. You can bet your money on me. **laugh**
