FF XIII: Roshi v Boyka

28th March 2015 Los Angeles Hard Knocks   Preliminary Card   Bwanali Longwe v Jerzy Sulima Middleweight We will start tonight’s event with two talented, but still unsucceful in professional MMA fighters. 20 years old Zambian boxer from Lusaka- Bwanali ‘Kid Dynamite’ Longwe, will face 19 years old Polish wrestler from Dwikozy- Jerzy ‘The Fall’ Sulima. Both fighters fought already twice in professional cage, but every time left it beaten. It’s big opportunity for ‘KidDynamite’ to finally break that streak, and may be tough night for Polish ‘The Fall’. Longwe is definitely more dimensional fighter, and if he would manage to stay on his feet and score from there- Sulima may be powerless. But ‘The Fall’ before starting his professional MMA career, was international level wrestler, so on the ground, Zambian fighter may be no match for his above average skills.   Carly Sarmiento v John Malek Lightweight Once more to cage will step two talented, but unsuccesful mixed martial artists. Both 19 years old, both lost 3 fights. But one of them won already once- on minor MMA gala, but still: derived from Las Vegas, United States- John Malek. His tonight’s opponent will be still waiting for first professional win Philippinian boxer from Jolo- Carly ‘Puching Bugs’ Sarmiento. ‘Puching Bugs’ will be surely trying to finish it fast, will surely step into this fight aggressively, as he doesn’t want to let his opponent to try his stuff. Malek is one dimensional fighter, is highly trained actually in only one fighting discipline, but in the lethal one, as Gracie has shown in past- in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. If this fight will be taken to the ground, then Malek should win it. But in any other fighting aspect, he is no match for Sarmiento.   Franklin Clinton v Ronan Chantry Middleweight In third fight of tonight’s event, we will see two debutants in professional MMA: 18 years old Franklin Clinton from Los Santons, United States, and 19 years old Ronan Chantry from Ballybucklebo, Ireland. We all are awaiting eagerly to see what will show us those two young, talented warriors. They both are trained in boxing and wrestling, seems pretty similar, so we hope for exciting fight. And according to betting companies, Ronan Chantry is a little bigger favorite for this one.   Mike Dingerballs v Cris Messer Super Heavyweight It’s starting to be interesting now! The clash of two 25 years old fighters: one already fought twice and both fights won- Mike ‘The Touchy Uncle’ Dingerballs from Ohio Russia, Chad, and stepping in from amateur MMA Cris ‘Cringle’ Messer from Manteca, United States. Dingerballs is more experienced and already proven in professional cage, but to be honest, they both are about to debut on major mixed martial arts Gala, as ‘The Touchy Uncle’ appeared only on minor ones before this moment. Both are international class wrestlers, both have outstanding skills in that area, but tonight’s favorite seems to be Cris Messer, as the one, who according to our sources is pretty solid boxer also. And anything except wrestling skills is something what we must still wait to see from ‘The Touchy Uncle’ Jimmy Duncan v Miguel Oliveira Middleweight In last preliminary fight, we will finally see fighters, who already have seen real fighting. 20 years old American derived from Sacramento - Jimmy ‘The Sacramento Hammer’ Duncan, and 19 years old Brazilian coming from Trindade- Miguel ‘T-Rex’ Oliveira. And Brazilian boxer is the one, who is pointed as favorite tonight. Duncan never acquired Oliveira’s level in that sport, and he is also derived from discipline, so it’s wise to bet on ‘T-Rex’ in that, hopefully, exciting striking match.   Main Card   Bary Windam v Cok Chestnar Super Heavyweight Last calm breath before stepping into big MMA. 22 years old Barry ‘The Brute’ Windam will be fighting in his home city against 2 younger countryman from Minneapolis, Minnesota- Cok Chestnar. And younger one is slight favorite tonight. Windam is all-rounder, but doesn’t really shine very bright in any aspect, yet, and tonight he will face great wrestler. Chestnar may be weak striker, but I think that his wrestling skills will let him to take The W tonight.   Quincey Ferguson v Cain Jones Lightweight The fight, which is going to point our next Lightweight Division Championship pretender. Two talented and still unbeaten mixed martial arts will step into the cage to make one more step on their road to successful career. Coming with 4-0 professional record, 20 years old Quincey ‘Killa’ Ferguson from South Side, United States, will face 19 years old Cain ‘The Slayer’ Jones from Hell, USA. Jones, who steps into this one from ‘underdog’ position, has 2-0 professional record. It’s going to be very interesting fight. On paper, Jones is the one, who should win in on the ground, but standing, better is Ferguson- even if we count in a little better boxing skills of ‘The Slayer’. He must do all he can to take it to the ground, but even that may not secure The W for him. Ferguson will be surely working with his elbows a lot tonight, but he is also known from inability to KO his opponents, at least for this moment. That may mean, that Jones even if will make a mistake, may get another chance to recover and try his luck in this fight, as in MMA nothing is won, until the job is done.   Errol Bronson v Sven Kristian Nielsen Super Heavyweight Championship Last fight before stepping into Main Event phase, and we will already have Championship fight! The biggest surprise in short Future Fighting’s history, 20 years old Australian warrior from Perth- Errol Bronson, will face tonights pretender- 21 years old Danish grappler, Sven Kristian ‘Stærk’ Nielsen. It will be hopefully very interesting and exciting fight. On one side we have Bronson- great wrestler and brawler, who also has unaverage stand up skills, also in clinch, and on another side we have Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt grappler, who seems to be a little weaker wrestler, but also seems to have solid striking skills and what most important- real KO power. It’s always wise to point grappler as favorite in fight like this one, but we still remember Nielsen’s lose in his professional MMA career. Lose against brawler.   Main Event   Colt Kingman v Jimi Powell Super Heavyweight It’s absoultely unusual situation, that because of marketing reasons, fight for pretender’s spot in weight category is put higher in card than actual championship bout. But it is that way because of surprising loss of 21 years old Australian from Perth- Colt ‘The Crusher’ Kingman. And on his way back to the top of Super Heavyweight Division, on his way is awaiting 19 years old great talent from Detroit, United States- Jimi ‘Powerhouse’ Powell. Some time ago Kingman would be favorite, but now, we must re-think that. And when we look closer into those two fighters, road back to top may be longer for Kingman than he would like it to be. ‘Powerhouse’ Powell is favorite tonight, thanks to his outstanding boxing and wrestling skills. ‘The Crusher’ will definitely try destroy his opponent in his well-known clinching style, but striking distance and ground game seems to be on Powell’s side.   Master Roshi v Aleksei Boyka Lightweight Championship And here comes The Main Event of the Night! Lightweight Championship bout, between 20 years old Egyptian, actual Champion of Future Fighting Organization- Master ‘The Turtle Hermit’ Roshi, and tonight’s pretender, 20 years old Aleksei Boyka from Archangel, Russia. Boyka definitely won’t be real threat for Roshi in striking aspect, but ‘The Turtle Hermit’ will have to stay focused for entire fight, as no one gets black BJJ belt without reason. Roshi is also known from nice wrestling skills and his takedown defense, and this will be crucial for tonight’s fight. If he would be able to stay on his feet, there seem to be no way, how Boyka could take the belt from him. But on the ground everything may happen…
