Author:

Ladies and Gentlemen, coming to you from the Belle Centre in Montreal on the December 13… TTFC Invades Montreal 8! Nathan Norman here breaking down this massive event with plenty at stake! 10 fights, all with their unique ability to entertain and surprise everybody! Including our main event, the duo TTFC champion “The Brazilian Psycho” Daniel Silva, defending his 265+lbs title against the red hot “Knight Errant” Sellus Gravius! If there is a fight with more anticipation, I haven’t seen it yet! But before we get to the main event, we have another 9 highly competitive fights with so much at stake! Moving on to our preliminary card for the evening, let’s get started!

Pepe “Casanova” LePew (25-21-0) vs. Jarni “Tappaja” Kutsoo (19-17-0) 145lbs.

In the opening fight for the evening, submission artist Pepe Lepew battling against Brazilian Jiu Jitsu specialist Jarni Kutsoo! Winning 24 from 25 fights by submission and being rewarded with a total 13 submission of the night awards, Pepe Lepew is recently coming off a disappointing 30:27 decision defeat against Garrett Ferguson, LePew will hopefully rebound back in to good form by taking on an opponent who is struggling to get the ball rolling, especially after losing his TTFC debut in his last bout. This fight will come down to strategy, even though Pepe LePew is a proficient submission artist, if he is going to be dominant in this bout, he must strategize against the BJJ specialist in Jarni Kutsoo. But don’t count out Kutsoo’s ability to control the fight either, if he can do so then this will be a 50/50 contest. All in all, this will be a fantastic way to open the cards here in Montreal. LePew by decision.

“The Destroyer” Kearney McGarrity (26-16-0) vs. Professor “Razor Stick” Subzero (8-5-0) 265+lbs

Moving from one side of the spectrum to the other, the battle of the big boys is here for our second bout of the evening! We have two veterans of the TTFC in Kearney McGarrity and Professor Subzero. Kearney McGarrity has had a highly disappointing 12 months, since losing the TTFC 265lbs title last November, he has only won 3 from 10 fights. However, he is coming off a recent round 1 victory over Fedor Lesnar. Could this highly skilled veteran turn things around here in Montreal? To do so, he must outclass an opponent who has spent his entire career in the TTFC. Professor Subzero has had a string of inconsistent form, winning 1 from his past 4 bouts. This fight is going to be extremely close! However, I believe Kearney McGarrity is going to show off his elite boxing skills once again and out-brawl Professor Subzero and show why he is championship material! McGarrity by round 1 Knockout!

“Real Deal” Evander Holyfield (12-10-0) vs. Leonard “Streetlife” Washington (24-20-0) 205lbs

We move on to a fight with 2 fighters who have recently won their TTFC debut and looking to make it 2 from 2! Both fighters have a very diverse skillset which makes it exciting as it could either become a slugfest or a technical fight! Evander Holyfield came back from a round 1 loss last fight to pick up a round 2 and 3 victory which could have gone either way! The decision eventually went his way but this time around Holyfield is going to want to put on a more dominating performance to make his mark and get noticed in the 205 division! But that is no easy task, Leonard Washington’s confidence must be sky high at the moment after coming back after being dominated in round 1 last bout to pick up a knock-out victory in round 2! The statistics are basically identical, minus the BJJ ability of Holyfield, however I believe that won’t be a huge factor in this fight. This will come down to control on the feet. Whoever comes out with the best stand-up performance will win this fight! Washington by round 2 knockout.

Kisuke Urahara (14-10-2) vs. “Ghey-Ray” Shelton Harrell (35-19-3) 170lbs

TTFC veteran vs. the TTFC debutant.  Shelton Harrell has been in the TTFC for just over a year now, however his inconsistent form has been his downfall in his career thus far. However he is coming off a massive victory against Joeli Babitu recently! Picking up a fight of the night award for that highly entertaining battle! His extensive skillset and experience could be a definitive factor in regards to the result in this fight! However, Harrell has always had trouble stringing victories together, only winning 2 fights in a row on one occasion since beginning here in the TTFC. To make that a second streak, he must take on a TTFC debutant in Kisuke Urahara. Urahara has been quite impressive lately, picking up 7 wins from his past 9 bouts!! However, Urahara will be looking to make a statement on his debut here in Montreal if he wants to battle his way in to 170lbs title contention! This will be a fight which will come down to conditioning! Which fighter can work the other in to exhaustion? And who can deliver the most punishment to impress the judges? I believe the confidence will be on Urahara’s side which will ensure his victory! However, if you are trying to predict this one, take a coin-flip as this fight will come down to 1 key moment! Urahara by decision.

Tommy Gavin (20-8-1) vs. Colt “Lone Gun” McLaren (14-11-1) 145lbs

In our final preliminary bout Tommy Gavin will be looking to make a statement after 2 losses in a row, including a title opportunity against Matti Teitsi. He will go one-on-one against an opponent who has one 2 from 2 here in the TTFC, Colt McLaren! Tommy Gavin has proven that he has the ability to perform at a high level, winning multiple championships from other organizations, but has found it difficult to string victories together in the tough mix in the TTFC, winning just 1 fight from 3. He will be facing an opponent who hasn’t had that difficulty since making his TTFC debut. Colt McLaren has quickly shown TTFC fans that he means business, picking up 2 victories with his last being rewarded “Fight of the Night”. However, his ability to finish opponents has been questioned. McLaren will be out to prove to all the critics that he can perform at a high level and finish fights! However, he has proven that he can pick up wins either way, because a win in the end is a win. But who will be crowned victorious in the last of the preliminary fights? I believe McLaren has what it takes to go 3 from 3 and make a challenge for the 145lbs title race! However, I am expecting the full 3 rounds on this occasion! McLaren by decision.

Miko “The Mamba” Maia (36-24-0) vs. “Captain” Kirk Karwoski (18-12-0) 265+lbs

On to our main card for this evening, and what a start we have! We move into the 265+ division where veteran fighter Miko Maia will be looking to begin another string of victories after disappointingly being knocked out last bout to ruin a 4 fight winning streak against a true knock out artist who has had a poor beginning to his TTFC career, Kirk Karwoski. The 37 year old Miko Maia has looked devastating since starting off here in the TTFC, winning 4 from 5 bouts! He returns to Montreal where he has had huge success with 2 wins from 2 fights by way of round 1 knock out! Can he continue this Montreal success? That’s up to his opponent on how he performs. Kirk Karwoski has had the opposite success in Montreal, losing both bouts by decision. But don’t let that fool you, Karwoski is absolutely incredible when it comes to knock out power! Winning 17 from 18 fights by knock out, he can definitely pull off a heart-stopping victory on the right occasion! And I believe this will be the game-changing night where Karwoski can do just that! In what will be an absolute slobber knocker, I think Karwoski will come out victorious despite his underdog status. Karwoski with a round 2 knock out.

“The Last Czar” Vyacheslav Romanov (18-7-0) vs. Nate Newman (12-7-0) 265+lbs

In our second main card bout, we see 2 fighters who have shown amazing knock out ability over their TTFC careers, with only 1 victory combined not coming from knock out from 9 wins! Firstly, we look at the 29 year old Russian born Vyacheslav Romanov, who has made a huge statement here in the TTFC, winning 4 from 5 fights all by way of knock out! Romanov’s diverse skill set is sure to once again put on a performance which will be looked at for quite a while. Can this heavy-handed Russian compete against the impressive Nate Newman? Newman has recently come off a massive round 1 knock-out victory and will be looking to put his extensive all-round training in to action! I feel like Newman won’t want to stand up with Romanov. He will want to show-off that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt as that is the big advantage he has over the Russian brawler. I believe Newman will have this fight controlled for the majority of this contest and show TTFC fans that he can compete with the best in the industry! Newman by submission in round 3.

Denard Black (24-16-2) vs. Rocky “The Rock” Blyer (32-35-1) 205lbs

In our first of 3 five round contests, we see the light-heavyweights go to war as the red hot 35 year old Denard Black will be trying to make it 6 from 6! His opponent, 39 year old mma veteran, Rocky Blyer! On paper this fight is hard to call, with only 1 loss combined in their past 5 fights. This will be a contest where versatility will be important if each fighter desperately wants to pick up a well-needed victory here tonight. Black is sitting on 5 wins in a row, all by knock-out! He has only had roughly 7 minutes of action in his past 3 fights, so he definitely needs to be watched in the early stages of this fight! But can he stop the veteran in Rocky Blyer? After coming off a defeat in his TTFC debut, Blyer has been astonishing, winning his next 3 fights! Whoever can pick up this victory will definitely prove that they are a force to be reckoned with. But who will it be? I’m going to have to sit with Denard Black. I believe Black will continue this good form and he will do it in good fashion. Black with a round 1 knock-out.

“Knocks You Out!” Matti Teitsi (17-10-0) vs. “The Assassin Reborn” Darwin France (28-11-0) 145lbs

Our co-main event of this fantastic evening in Montreal, sees former 2 former TTFC 145lbs champions touch gloves in a contest which cannot be missed! The more recent champion from Finland, Matti Teitsi takes on the Japanese born, fighter Darwin France! This fight is significant for both competitors as the winner is almost guaranteed a spot against Natsu Dragneel in the near future! This contest will not disappoint as both fighters will leave their blood, sweat and tears in the cage before this fight comes to an end! Teitsi is coming off a rough, late round 2 TKO defeat against the current 145lbs champion, Natsu Dragneel. However, Teitsi has set a standard here in the 145lbs division, winning 5 in a row before that defeat! Teitsi will also be looking to put his extensive ground ability in to action with the hope to gain a spot to take back that title belt which he believes he deserves! But he cannot forget the task at hand, and that is his upcoming fight against a rising star in Darwin France! Darwin France is a renowned submission artist, winning 21 from 28 by way of submission. This Japanese fighter should not be over-looked, despite his inconsistent form.  France had plenty of early-career success, taking home multiple titles from different organizations, however he has found it difficult to keep up with the higher standards here in the TTFC! This classic fight will come down to which fighter has the determination to be successful! Which fighter can control this fight from round 1 to round 5? I believe Teitsi will pick up the victory. I just can’t see France moving back to the form which he once had, and I believe he is past his prime. If he can prove me wrong, then he has high hopes at the 145lbs title, but in Montreal, I believe Matti Teitsi will put on a clinic. Teitsi by decision.

# 1 “The Brazilian Psycho” Daniel Silva (35-17-1) vs. # 2 “Knight Errant” Sellus Gravius (24-9-0) 265+lbs

And now! On to our main event of this action-packed event! TTFC Invades Montreal 8 introduces 2 elite mixed martial arts combatants who have shown fans time and time again that they are at the best 265+ fighters in TTFC and the in overall MMA tycoon world! Introducing first, the challenger. The outstanding knock-out artist from USA. 23 from 24 wins coming by knock-out including his past 4 straight wins with 2 knock out of the night awards! “Knight Errant” Sellus Gravius! Introducing the 265lbs and 265+lbs TTFC champion, an outstanding 31 knock outs from 35 victories! “The Brazilian Psycho” Daniel Silva!! Everything on the line in this fight! Honor, respect and that illusive 265+lbs championship! Let’s break down this main event! Sellus Gravius fought in the 2014 MMA Tycoon Olympic Finals, coming up short by decision. Not taking away the huge level of respect the entire community has for this fighter! The last time he took on Daniel Silva, he also came up short with a disappointing round 1 knock-out defeat. However, all of this is history as Gravius will be determined to earn himself the 265+lbs TTFC championship! This behemoth of a fighter will certainly be aiming his shots with his iron fists to hopefully set up a huge performance in Montreal! However, he must overcome one of the best fighters in the industry, Daniel Silva! Despite losing his previous non-title fight against Rinky Spider, Daniel Silva will be determined to prove to everybody in the 265+ division why he is the champion and that his reign will not come to an end any time soon! Silva will defend the title for the second time, and will be determined to take that belt with him after the final bell rings! This fight was only destined to happen at some point! Both sitting in the top 10 overall 265+ fighters in the MMA Tycoon world! It’s hard to say who will win this fight as it could end at any point! I’m going to predict a new 265+lbs champion here tonight based on gut instinct. I wouldn’t put a wager on it though. I could put a wager on this being an epic fight and the perfect way to conclude TTFC Invades Montreal 8! Gravius by round 4 knock-out.

There we have it ladies and gentlemen, fight fans from around the globe. 10 action-packed fights at the Belle Centre in Montreal! What are your predictions?
