Live from the Knight’s Court arena, in our home of London, we have got a fantastic night for you. 10 fights, 20 fighters, 6 title fights and a grand slam total of 42 potential rounds for your viewing pleasure. With such high energy in the arena, this is sure to be an event you must not miss. Let’s get right down to the action, with our most in-depth analysis yet!
FIGHT #1 – Lightweight Division!

A fantastic battle to start off Slider Kings VIII! Monster is a BJJ specialist who uses his wrestling to get the fight to where he knows best. He has trained on his boxing and muay thai in order to survive for as long as possible until he gets the fight down, and that could be key to him winning this fight. Masters must also be wary of Monster using the clinch to pull guard, as we have seen him do before.
Masters is a fighter who is comfortable striking from anywhere. He has wonderful wrestling, which allows him not only to keep the fight standing, but to also dominate inside the clinch. Monster will be at a disadvantage here, as the fight starts in Master’s preferred fighting area. He will need to find a way to take him down in order to win.
Overall, I think this will be an interesting fight. I am confident we will see a finish, but unfortunately for Monster, I don’t see him being able to take Master down before he gets KO’ed.

Much like the last fight, this fight pits two fighters who have opposite styles of fighting.
Morales is a striker, who will be looking to use his boxing to take down Echoes. He has been working on his Muay Thai and his Wrestling as well, so we might see some clinch fighting, but overall, I expect him to keep striking from a distance.
Echoes is a BJJ fighter, who has solid wrestling to compliment his ground game. He will be looking to take the fight to the floor however he can, and to sink in a submission when he has the opportunity.
I expect Echoes superior wrestling to help him land a takedown here, and we can be expecting a submission to follow shortly.

A break away from the mould of what we have seen previously. Both of these fighters prefer the ground game, so expect a BJJ stand-off.
Asuka has Strong Wrestling to accompany his BJJ Brown Belt. 8 out of his 9 wins have come via submission, and all of those 8 wins have come inside the 1st round.
Galante has the advantage standing, and he also holds a huge advantage in his wrestling. Should the fight go to the floor, he also has a BJJ Purple Belt which will serve him well.
I am expecting Galante to keep the fight standing, where he holds a great advantage. Asuka will need to get the fight to the ground, but it could be curtains for him before he achieves that.

Our first title match of the night pits Sobers against Starseed. Both of these fighters are two of the best in the org, and I expect to see fireworks.
Sobers is defending the belt for the first time tonight. He has wonderful striking, but he is Elite in Wrestling and a Black Belt. He has shown the ability to knock people out, while also making them submit, so he is an extremely dangerous opponent for anyone.
Starseed is equally as skilled as Sobers. He might not be as proficient in Wrestling as him, but he has shown better Muay Thai, and has also shown the ability to knock people out while also submitting them.
The advantage Starseed has is that he has been tested in the later rounds more than his opponent. It will be interesting to see what tactics these fighters use, and the winner will be a deserving champion!

Another title fight for our fans to feast their eyes on! Hart is defending his title for the third time against a new challenger in Sam Quint.
Hart has been a mainstay in Troid since it’s reopening, and it was fitting when he won the title from long time rival Junior Borg. He started out with some great wrestling and BJJ, but has brought his striking up to speed to make him dangerous everywhere. Will we finally see his infamous “Milking the Cow” technique? If we do, it is sure to blow the roof off the arena.
Sam Quint made his name outside of Troid, but when he came in, he caused quite a stir in the fans. He has been thrown into a title fight that he should have got at previous orgs, and he will be chomping at the bit to get the opportunity to prove himself. He is even with Hart in his ability, so I expect to see a war that really can go anywhere.
I expect Hart to simply have too much experience in the Troid cage, and to overcome another challenge.

A bit of an underdog clash here, as Sam Urai defends his title against Timothy Robinson.
Sam Urai is a master of Boxing and BJJ, and he has developed a solid MT and Wrestling game to compliment those. He has shown an aptitude for knocking people out, and for also submitting them. He had climbed to the top of the Lightweight Division, and the future looks like it won’t be changing for him.
Timothy Robinson has been on a roll, winning his last two fights. All of his wins have come via Submission, and even though he is the underdog, Sam Urai will need to be wary of Robinson taking the fight to the floor. He can easily submit a man within seconds, could we be about to see one of the biggest upsets in Troid history?
Overall, from the paper, Urai should have no problems in winning this fight. But as we all know, anything can happen, so I will be keeping a keen eye on this fight!
