Jay pierre defended his title at ecfc Pierre vs Sprengler in a successful and a one sided decision. His training at pitbull in montreal and Tristar with his uncle George St. Pierre help him alot..Pierre mixed up takedowns and strikes well... Here was a quick background of Jay Pierre!!

Jay Pierre was born to be on this stage!! He had the last name of his uncle..George St. Pierre who is a legend of mma!! As a kid Pierre watched his uncle on almosat every television defending his title and seeing the success of being a great mma fighter!!! At age 18 he knew what he wanted to do after highschool. He decided to do some military service and pursue mma.. At the age of 20..George decided to welcome him to Tristar and everything sparked from there!!! Jay Pierre decided to train at pitbull gym in montreal and tristar because he wants to become not just great but be one of the greatest of all time like his uncle!!! Pierre is making his own legacy as he has done something george didnt do...have a succesful first titl defense!!! Being champ at age 21 is a difficult task to handle for most people but Jay Pieree is maturing after each fight and his uncle GSP is helping him maintain his mentality...Jay Pierre is surely on the right path and he is in the gym as we speak watching tape with his uncle at tristar
