Bantamweight Championship

(Champ) Kenshin Yamamoto vs.  (6.) Karukef Kingston

Big time DFC legend and bantamweight champion Kenshin Yamamoto got his belt back in his last fight when he fought Fourie Du Preez for interim bantamweight belt. Yamamoto became the first 3 time DFC champion in history of the organization. "Kid" Yamamoto is now set to defend his belt against Kingston this saturday. Yamamoto was supposed to fight against Alexander Pedan, but Pedan declined the title shot and after then left the organization right after his inactivity clause expired. So its pretty obvious that Pedan was literally scared to face the champion.

"After Alexander's latest victory we offered him a chance to fight for the belt, but yes he didnt want the fight. Instead he said he wanted to fight some1 who was like 10 steps below of him in rankings so obviously we didnt give him the fight and haven't heard of him ever since. We started to search for opponent to the champion and fortunately Karukef Kingston stepped up and took the fight right away. It's big step up in competition for him and I really respect the guys who will fight anyone, anywhere, anytime! After all Kingston is in 4 fight win streak and 2-0 in DFC so he is no joke and would have fight for title sooner or later anyways" said DFC match-maker earlier this week.

Undefeated 23-year old Egyptian Karukef Kingston is just one day away from the biggest chance of his career. Kingston is coming from dominant unanimous decision victory against Carls Classic and in his debut he finished Erik Erikkson in the first round of the fight. Now in his 5th overall MMA fight he already faces the 8 years older DFC legend and 3-time DFC champion, so this kid really has big challenge ahead of him. Kingston is wonderful boxer and that is definately his number 1 weapon against the champion. This is really classic striker vs. grapler fight and if Karukef can keep this fight on the feet, he has very good chance for upset. However we have said that before and only few has been able to stop Yamamoto's takedowns. Kingston is big underdog, but his boxing is the key for upset here.

Heavyweight

(4.) Seamus Farrelly vs. (5.) Valentin Nasimentu

In co-main event two former heavyweight title challengers will collide. For "Psycho" Seamus Farrelly this will be the last fight on his DFC contract. Farrelly was offered extension for his contract, but he declined it and even said that its because of Marcus Dantes signed with DFC. It was lil bit odd, but I guess he thinks DFC's heavyweight division is too challenging for him, unfortunately. Farrelly is in 2 fight win streak. He is coming from first round KO of the night victory against Krug Barishkov. Farrelly is favourite in this fight against Nasimentu and I'm sure he really wants to leave the organization with W.

Valentin "Second After God" Nasimentu is also on 2 fight win streak with 2 submission of the night finishes. Victory in this fight would definately put Nasimentu in number #1 contender spot. Nasimentu is brown belt BJJ and Farrelly is purple belt so Nasimentu will probably try to continue his submission streak against dangerous knockout artist like Farrelly. This is will be 10th fight for Nasimentu in DFC, so DFC experience is on his side in this fight, even tho Farrelly has more MMA fights under his belt. Nasimentu will also have 5 cm height advantage and he really needs to use that to avoid taking bombs from Farrelly. However Nasimentu also has 3 KO/TKO wins in his career so don't count him out on that department either because after all this is a heavyweight fight and one punch can shake things up.
