NYFN 1: Sar vs Mihailovic Preview

Title Fight: Saloth Sar 12-3 vs Lubomir Mihailovic 8-2     Saloth Sar looks to make his first Heavyweight title defense, albeit at SHW. He easily defeated Owinashi in just over a minute to get the belt. Lubomir Mihailovic will be getting his first career title shot, to which he brings in a 7 fight win streak. Sar is a pure stand-up head-kicking machine with wonderful MT and all of his wins coming by knockout. He will sport a 20 pound weight advantage over Lubomir while both fightets are about the same height. LM is more well-rounded and loves to clinch his opponents even though he is primarily a boxer. Going up against a superior MT fightet, it will be interesting to see what strategy he employs. Look for this fight to end pretty quickly by knockout.    Underdog Match: Vitor Gracie 0-0 vs Too Luck (UM is determined by the fight with the most fighter positions between the two men)     In our Underdog Match, Too Luck is actually the underdog against a rookie fighter. His inaugural loss to Tensai Riggs really put a damper on his hype. Gracie is a respectable MT fighter with a solid Brown belt. No doubt he will look to clinch up against the much larger Luck so that he can take the fight down and submit the big man. The size diffetence in this fight is enormous, but that could play right into Gracie's hands as the quicker and faster fighter. Luck is a well-rounded chap with competent boxing leading the way. Both of his fights have gone to decision where he tried to use his opponents weaknesses against them; first by being a boxer, then by attempting to clinch. This will be a very interesting fight that could go either way.   Fight to Watch: Johnny Smith 7-1 vs Robert Owinashi 7-4     In our Fight to Watch, ground fighter Johnny Smith goes up against an angry Owinashi who just lost in the title fight against Sar. Smith is riding a 5 fight win streak, all by submission.  He has forced his opponent to tap every time but one. Owinashi had been doing well, until he lost to Sar in 2 of his last 3 bouts, but before that, he had won 4 straight. Owinashi is a well-rounded Boxer who loves to throw combinations, and has started to add kicks to his game. This is a classic Stand-up verses Ground matchup. Whomever can dictate whete the fight takes place will win this one.   Preview written by Dave F and is for entertainment purposes only.
