Bantamweight Championship

(Champ) Kenshin Yamamoto vs. (2.) Andrew Clark

The wait is over. One of the biggest matches in DFC history will take place this saturday for the DFC Bantamweight belt. Long time DFC BW champion Kenshin "Kid" Yamamoto has been dominating the division. He has fought in 9 tittle fights and won 8 of them. The easily biggest test of his career will be this weekend when he faces the former AMSFC champion Andrew "British Panther" Clark who defended his belt 6 times in that organization and he is in AMSFC's Hall of Fame. Clark is only 22 years old and he is from Leeds, UK.

Now Clark is signed with DFC and everybody wanted to see these two battle it out right away. It's crazy when you watch the records of these guys: Kenshin with 11-1 MMA record and Andrew with 11-2 MMA record.  Fans has been so hyped about this fight ever since it got announced. Everybody is aware that Yamamoto has been dominating with his amazing ground skills, but this time Clark might be able to answer that and even if he can't match Kenshin on the ground he should have huge advantage on feet.

We got chance to interview the challenger before his big DFC tittle fight.

Interviewer:

"Andrew Clark, first of congratz for your DFC contract. You will be facing long time DFC champion right away in your DFC debut, what do you know about him?"

Andrew:

"Kenshin is a outstanding grappler, but I'm not weaker than him on the ground, that's for sure. I'm gonna force him to work and show him that he can be bullied around. I invite him - come and try to grab my legs. I would love to introduce you to my knees. He is 11-1 for a reason - that reason is simple. He is tough and skilled guy. Same as me. That's why Im looking forward to that fight."

Interviewer:

"How do you think the fight gonna play out?"

Andrew:

"Im sure it won't last 5 rounds. I let judges decide my fate once and that was huge mistake that I will not repeat. I will do my best to add another stoppage to my win column, hopefully become first guy to finish him. I'm not planning to stop untill ref pulls me off him, waving down the fight. Kenshin, you may be tough - but you are going down."

Interviewer:

"Can't wait to see that match! Thanks alot for you time, Andrew and good luck!"

Andrew:

"Thank you."

Middleweight Championship

(Champ) Joe Pae vs. (2.) Odin Tualasamony

In the first tittle bout of the evening the most dominant champion Joe Pae will defend his belt for 8th time already. Joe "Kick Ass" Pae is still the only guy who has ever touched the DFC middleweight belt. Joe Pae is coming from impressive victory by 4th head kick knock out in his career and that kick has become signature finish of his. It's hard to find anything bad about the champ, he has most KO's in DFC history (7) and he is also tied with most wins in organization with Kenshin Yamamoto. There is more to come... Pae has been fighting 10 times inside DFC cage and has gotten 9 "of the night" bonuses, so I think all those stats tells what kind of guy Pae is.

Odin "Dom"  Tualasamony is fighting for the tittle. Yes, he really is. Odin has one of the most interesting stories in DFC. He has fought 3 times under DFC banner and each time he has been underdog going in to the fight. Every single time he has knocked out his opponent. That is simply amazing. Odin talked with DFC President Wessel Error after Max Casacci because he was really close to get shot for the tittle. However they agreed that maybe "Dom" should fight one more higher ranked fighter before getting the shot. He got booked to fight Nari Vari, who was so close to get tittle from Joe Pae. (1 draw, 1 split decision) Once again fans and community though that Vari gonna run through Tualasamony, but when Destiny 37 took place February 22th, Odin did it again. He knocked out cold Nari Vari in 2nd round. This saturday he is fighting for a tittle and yes, he is underdog again. Can he do it again?

Middleweight

(5.) Praying Mantis vs. (4.) Max Casacci

Middleweight division will be searching for next contender between these two warriors. Praying "Killa" Mantis is fighting for 3rd time under DFC banner and he is 2-0 in org. He is coming from 2 first round finishes over Don Don and former number one contender JunJun Jones. This 21-year old brazilian might be just purple belt in BJJ, but 5 of his 7 career victories has come by submission. According betting odds Mantis is slight underdog going in to this fight, but if he can find the keys to victory he is very close to get next tittle shot.

Max Casacci will enter DFC cage for the 5th time, but he usually doesn't like to spend too much time in the cage. Casacci has never sit on the stool inside the cage, because he prefers to end the fights in 1st round, atleast so far. He is coming from 2 first round (of course) knock outs over Kazumi Okamura and Ikuo Hitigaki. Casacci has profient boxer and muay thai, but his expectional wrestling is probably going to be key in this fight, because Mantis is remarkable boxer. If Casacci can close the distance and make this dirty wrestling match it will be tough night for Mantis.
