Starting Age: 22
Height: 190 cm, 6'2"
Weight: 215 lbs (Light Heavyweight)
Hometown: Grand Rapids, MI - USA

Boxing Career:
Stoney had an amateur boxing record of 31-2. He won multiple junior titles and the novice golden gloves. 29 of his amateur wins came by knockout and so did both of his loses, earning him the well deserved nickname, "Mr. KO". He proved from a young age that he was going to be a force in the boxing world. Stoney had his first professional boxing fight at the age of 18 against Lee Stevens, beating him by knockout in the first round. He was then scouted out by a major organization and went on to go 20-3 in professional boxing before being kicked out of the organization. At Stoney's last fight he lost a frustrating decision to the organizations golden boy. He threw a cheap shot after the round that ended up knocking out his opponent and essentially banning him from their organization and many others. Being as stubborn as he is, Stoney said fuck boxing and decided he was done jumping threw hoops for boxing promoters and getting no where.

Not knowing what to do next, Stoney found himself bouncing at a night club to pay rent. One night he had a little scuffle with one of the people in the club and a local amateur fights promoter saw him and invited him to fight at his next event. It's a winner take all mma tournament, he told him. Stoney agreed and his MMA career was underway.

  Amateur MMA:
After 2 years in boxing, Stoney is now 20 years old and starting in MMA with nothing but boxing skills. He quickly joined an MMA gym to broaden his skillset as much as he could before the tournament in a couple of weeks. As the tournament began, Stoney had an impressive showing in the first fight, winning by knockout in 16 seconds. The second fight he lost to a wrestler, but due to some greasing contreversy, Stoney was declared the winner by disqualification. In the third fight he made quick work with a 52 second knockout to move onto the finals. Now in the final fight of the tournament, Stoney was paired up with a pure BJJ specialist who had submitted all of 3 of his previous opponents in under 5 minutes combined. Stoney was submitted in just 59 seconds and lost the tournament. Extremely frustrated by the grapplers in the tournament, Stoney knew he had to improve his game. He immediately hired a private wrestling coach to teach him the basics. He wanted to learn BJJ too but he couldn't afford both lessons. He went on to go 4-1 in his amateur career, finishing at 7-2 before moving on to fight in professional MMA. He was eager to learn the new styles of fighting that MMA had and it quickly drew his interest away from boxing.

Professional MMA:
Now wanting to compete in MMA but unsure where he was going to fight, Stoney headed over to a local quick fight circuit hoping for a fight. They paired him up with an unknown fighter named Lucas Bufalo and Stoney was set to fight in 3 days.

"Mr KO" Jammy Stoney (Professional MMA Debut) vs Lucas Bufalo (Professional MMA Debut)
Not was much known about Bufalo at the time, except that he was a jiu jitsu guy and that Stoney was still a white belt without any real grappling skill, apart from a few wrestling sessions. As the fight started, Stoney stuffed 2 quick takedown attempts and then opened up a cut on the first punch he landed. Stoney then followed it up with more punches, stuffing another takedown and opening up Bufalo's cut even more. With a big overhand right, Stoney sent Bufalo stumbling back against the cage! Bufalo bounced off the cage and back towards Stoney who hit him with a two punch combination that dropped him to his knees! Stoney landed two more shots before the ref had a chance to intervene for a great finish, 49 seconds into round 1 for his first MMA win.

After the fight, Stoney immediately signed up for another quick fight.

"Mr KO" Jammy Stoney (1-0) vs "Gwapito" Roldan Igualdo Rocky (Professional MMA Debut)
Rocky was a young muay thai fighter who had dabbled in a few other forms of fighting from the Philippines who had come here for his first mixed martial arts fight. Stoney was feeling very confident, coming off of a big win and was looking to do the same to Rocky. This fight was almost exactly like the last one with Stoney stuffing 3 takedowns before opening up a cut on Rocky. He continued to pepper his opponent as he found his range, eventually hitting him with a huge right hand that sent Rocky sprawling to the canvas! But Rocky rolled over backwards and sprung off the cage, managing to regain his footing. Stoney didn't seem to like his acrobatic display because he ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Rocky clear off his feet and out cold. Winning the fight by vicious knockout 2:07 into round 1, Stoney fell in love with the sport of MMA.

He was then approached by a young promoter for a new professional organization called Amateur Brawling, located in Brazil. Stoney signed the contract and agreed to fight for them.

"Mr KO" Jammy Stoney (2-0) vs Tommy Williams (2-1) Stoney was set to fight a slightly more experienced and well rounded Williams for this first fight in the new organization. Williams was a strong boxer and grappler with both of his wins by first-round knockout. Stony couldn't wait for this fight and he was expecting a war. The fight started with a good exchange, Williams getting the better of it and rocking Stoney within the first minute of the fight. It took him a minute to recover, but he got his legs back right as he was taken down. Once on the ground, Stoney was no threat to Williams, who easily ground and pounded him out 3 minutes into round 1 for his first loss in professional MMA. Stoney went to the promoter and asked to get on the next card, hoping to redeem himself. He agreed and Stoney was set to fight 8 days later.

"Mr KO" Jammy Stoney (2-1) vs "The Beast" Dante Fedor (3-4)
Trying to put the loss behind him, Stoney's next opponent was.Dante Fedor. Fedor was a submission specialist who had all 3 of his victories coming by submission. He had also never been knocked out before, Stoney took that as a challenge. Stoney looked like his former self early in the fight, stopping takedowns and landing punches at will. He managed to cut Fedor right before landing a powerful uppercut that bounced him off the cage and back into range. He threw another monster uppercut that landed right on the button and sent Fedor down! Stoney followed him to the mat to finish him off with a few more strikes but the fight was over in only 37 seconds. Stoney managed to redeem himself as his 2 fight contract came to an end and the Amateur Brawling organization folded.

Wanting to get another win in before signing a contract, Stoney went back to the quick circuit for 1 more go.

"Mr KO" Jammy Stoney (3-1) vs Robert "Malice" Stubbs (5-10)
Stubbs was coming off two knockout losses but before that he was considered to have a granite chin and had never been knocked out, Stoney was of course looking to change that. "Malice"  was a boxer with a little mix of everything else. As the fight began, Stoney showed how much he disrespected Stubbs's standup by slapping him with the first strike and taunting how he was going to knock him out soon after. Stoney was throwing punches with force and then he clobbered him with a overhand right, followed by a hook that made Stubbs wobbly. Stoney followed it up with a straight right and another big hook that landed right on the button, dropping Stubbs to the canvas! Stoney saw blood and pounced! He landed several unanswered shots - Stubbs had enough and tapped out! This one was all over in 31 seconds! - Stubbs retired after the fight.

Now with a 4-1 record and 4 badass knockouts to go with it, Stoney quickly found a new home with The Big Bang organization. It was a newly formed org looking to make a name for itself and they wanted to make Stoney a star.

"Mr KO" Jammy Stoney (4-1) vs Sean Brownridge (4-1-1) A granite chinned sprawl and brawler, Brownridge had just lost his title and was looking to beat Stoney, the current #1 contender who had come out of no where. From the beginning of the bell Stoney was unloading on Brownridge, landing everything with ease and eventually knocking him out 2:26 into round 2 with a nice combination. Stoney landed nearly everything he threw in the fight, landing 124 of his 129 strikes thrown.

Now standing at 5-1, with every fight ending by knockout and none of them going past the 2nd round, Stoney was granted a title shot

"Mr KO" Jammy Stoney (5-1) vs Quim Bastos (9-1) - Light Heavyweight Title Fight
For his shot at the title, Stoney was set to face off against the heavily favored Quim Bastos who was coming off of a loss in a superfight against the then heavyweight champion. Bastos was a powerful muay thai striker with a good jiu jitsu game. Stoney came out as the aggressor but he was quickly slowed down by Bastos's kicks, which he seemed to land at will. Stoney just didn't have a defense for it and was soon knocked down by a big right high kick. Surprisingly, Bastos didn't want any part of the ground game and waved him back to his feet, where he quickly unloaded another big head kick that sent Stoney down for good. Knocking him out 1:39 into round 1 and retaining his belt.
