Back again at another Heavyweight Prize Fighting weekend of fun. As our week comes to a close I am extremely anxious to enjoy all of the festivities the world has in store for us. If you didnt know, The Great Scooby Jr turned 27 today so of course im in an even better mood. While Stakanu vs King was a party in itself we will turn to what the likes of Washington Moses and Steven Jackson in the cage Saturday.

The undersized Richard Tavarius will try to carry on his 4 fight win streak just a bit further as he will try to climb the mountain of Ales Zhandunka. I met Tavarius for the first time just this morning and it was quite odd. He said that he was heading in to train for his big fight this weekend but his workout gear was already filthy, he had a hole in his shorts, probably for easy access and smelled like a truck. He also seemed very depressed, I was shocked that he could be that down after winning FOUR fights in a row. He should look to fix that by the weigh-ins since Ales Zhandunka is the type of fighter who loves to get into his opponents heads. The old man at 39 years of age has put together a nice four fight win streak as well, stopping Adin Wrenton in his tracks along the way. I do not think he will look back in this one as Tavarius just might be using that hole in his pants in the cage because Zhandunka is going to give it to him, fast and painful.

The long time HWP wrecker “King” Kzarik Nahrul will look to find his next face to reconstruct just might not be as easy as we all think. While the 35 year old has notched 31 victories 26 by KO, I think his opponent, The Brooklyn Brawler will be just a tad bit too defensive and powerful to be shifted around the cage like the King's normal foes are. The Brawler holds a good height advantage along with a crazed backstory of a rough “Brick City” life that shaped him into the fighter that he is now and I think that will play a big part in this multicultural war Saturday. We saw Nahrul look very dominant in his last outing against Boone Straud cutting him and expanding that cut repeatedly with pinpoint accuracy until the doctors begged for a stop. The Brawler, on the other hand, smashed Yuber and Raggs convincingly and I dont think he will slow down here.

While Berry Fulcher is always looking to correct his underachieving record of 26-21 he has always kept intact with the laws of physics, what goes up MUST come down. For every impressive win he grasps, he follows it up with one useless blunder, likewise for win and losing streaks. He should very well beat half of the competition that stands in front of him but he finds some type of wall to fall short quite frequently. This traditional light heavyweight battle will be in his favor though as he finds himself matched up with Alexander Nevsky. This Brown Belt Jiu Jitsu practicioner will want in his heart, mind and soul to get this fight to the ground, early. He has only one 8 of his 25 victories with submissions but he has a handful of KO's due to ground and pound. If Fulcher keeps the fight standing, which I think he will. He will walk away with another KO and a victory added to his name.

For our main event we will have two of the youngest fighters on the card getting their chance and putting their names in our fans mouths and in the HWP record books as main event fighters. 14-5 Samoa Slammer Washington Moses had just been devoured by the off hand of Hugme Ineedlove when his manager was already signing this contract to fight Steven Jackson. Showing up at 5-6 this grappler will round the fight off and make us feel as if we are at the TWGC all over again. The rules of HWP do not force these two fighters to grapple only but their skill sets sure enough take care of that tremendously. Although most fans will disagree, I would be thrilled to watch two of the worst stand up strikers in all of HWP keep the fight standing and slug it out, the reality is that this fight will be won or lost in the trenches. Ironically the better true ground fighter is Moses but Steven Jackson is the better wrestler, so in other words... fasten your seatbelts because anything can happen!

AS we prepare for UFC 169, and look at the ring girls photoshoots (if you havent seen it already). We will be very excited to have the opportunity to enjoy a card full of electricity that HWP has provided us with. Thank you all for reading, good luck fighters and managers and TO ALL ENJOY!
