Welcome back all fans of frivilous violence, one day after the amazing showdown in Las Vegas we will come right back for more as Sunday offers 20 more fighters to add more to their resume to prove they are the best. With another week in the books we have already knocked off one month in this new year, time FLIES.
Asshole Gracie, as I mentioned is always a jerk in the cage and has frustrated many when he gets into his opponent's heads. His parents named him properly at birth and it is shocking that he has lived up to his name for so long. His skills aid because if he sucked he would no longer be able to try his antics. Insulting Gigant Silva's mother after she was diagnosed with cancer was not called for and I think Silva will use everything in his 7'6” body to make this asshole pay. Silva has not had the success he expected when he first joined this organization coming away with 2 losses and 2 wins after signing. This fight will tell a lot about his future. He holds an 17-11 record and the tough task of not being taken down is the only thing that stands in his way of winning this fight.
Although not related to Gigant, Adonis Silva will also have a lot to prove when he steps into the cage on Sunday night as well because he will be arriving with a 3 fight losing streak. Nicknamed the bulldog and usually that comes with an assumption that he would be smaller than his opponent but the strongest, as bulldogs where known to pin Brahma Bulls to the ground, this big monster will outweigh his opponent hulk hogan by a little over 10 pounds and will hold a safe height advantage.Hulk has shown the desire to fight nearly forever, but he shows no signs of slowing down as he has now won 9 fights in a row. Silva will desire to score a win and this fight is imperative for him to do so, but I do not see the slightest chance for him in this one.
Jeremy Jackson has lost his title and it was unbelievable, in 3 minutes he already had enough of Brian King and lost by decision. JJ has not went longer than that time in almost 6 fights so one must wonder what will happen now that he is scheduled to fight 3 five minute rounds with another formidable opponent. Alistair Overroid will take as many illegal supplements that he possibly can to score a win as he has proven that human growth hormone is his favorite. With this fight being longer than JJ has gone in his latest fights and the fact that out of 8 of his losses, 7 have come by KO or TKO, this brings a big concern for this fight. Overroid has the weight and height advantage plus he brings 26 KO victories to the bout so JJ will have to be on his best leg to have a shot at winning this one. JJ will look to get the fight to the ground to stall and try to win by decision, but I have a feeling that Overroid will be having none of that.
Hiranuka Stakanu took the title from Bomber King just a week ago in a 3 minute bout that both fighters threw everything but the kitchen sink at each other and Stakanu took the decision. Bomber King personally promised me a victory this time after he expressed his frustrations with what he failed to do in his title defense last week. AS impressive as the King is, he has accomplished just 2 wins 3 losses and a draw thus far since joining HWP while Stakanu has won every fight he has been part of since joining. Both fighters will hit the cage weighing over 265lbs which makes this fight a natural superheavyweight bout, but there is a major height difference as bomber has about 4 more inches of height and reach going into this one. The first bout was decided by a takedown and two punches but I have the feeling that Bomber King will refuse to go down that easily again looking to settle the score with his boxing skills. As I hope you all are just as anxious as I am about this match, I am setting my spoilers.
