Countdown to Destiny 29

Event Preview: Destiny 29: High Stakes
Destiny FC
2013-12-27, Tokyo, Hayashi's Lounge - Tokyo
Author:Wessel Error

Destiny 29 will take place this Friday at Tokyo, Hayashi's Lounge. This will be so far the biggest event in DFC history, featuring Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight tittle bouts.

Light Heavyweight Championship

(Champ) Moses Sithole  vs. (2.) Slick Customer

"The African Strangler" Moses Sithole will this friday face definately his toughest test in DFC so far, as he is defending his LHW belt for the 3rd time. This 20 year old young man is currently in 5 matches winning streak and perfect 4-0 in DFC. Last fight he landed big elbow to Pacioretty in 4th round after dominating performance.

Slick Customer comes in as a challenger, but he has a lot of hype behind him. Many people believes he is the favourite to dethrone the champ. This former NWO New York heavyweight champion is 7-0 in his career. Many people expected him to get tittle shot right away, but didnt accept fight because he wanted to make sure he is ready for the champ. Customer has also finished all his opponents and has never go past 2 rounds.

There has been a lot of bad blood between these two as they finally facing eachothers in cage this friday. They have gone back and forth because of the first match didn't happen in first attempt. Many people believe Customer has advantage on feet and Sithole has his edge in the ground. Anyway someones unbeaten streak gonna break friday night.

Heavyweight Championship

(Champ) Coconut Sprinkles vs. (2.) Felippe Francisco

Undefeated heavyweight king Sprinkles has been godlike in the cage so far in his career. 20-years old Samoan is 5-0 in DFC and riding 7 win streak with 7 finishes. He is favourite for this match up and will probably try to take Francisco down and either g&p or sub him as soon as possible.

Francisco gained the shot after 3 impressive win in DFC. He is 6-1 in DFC and has got 5 fight of the night awards in DFC. His only lost has come vs. former champ Daiki Hitoshi. He will probably wanna keep this one standing and knockout the champ, but he is definately the underdog in this bout.

Welterweight

(5.) Game Over vs. (7.) Joe Risley

Winner of this bout will be very close to gain the tittle shot, but nothing is set in stone in 170 division. Even tho Over is undefeated in MMA, he face Risley earlier this year in TWGC grappling tournament, but got caught in the triangle there. Risley is the favourite here even tho Jay Yap suprised every by knocking him out at DFC 21 ever since that lost he has been calling for rematch. Risley is the favorite for this bout, but if he sleeps on Over's potential this might be tough night for Risley.

Featherweight

(5.) Andi Lee vs. (4.) Keiichi Tsuchiya

Lee and Tsuchiya will the last fight in the main card. 8 fight DFC veteran Lee has been on fire lately. He knocked out this last 2 opponents and tries to continue his streak on DFC 29. Tsuchiya is very fresh name on MMA scene but has strong grappling base and has already gathered hypetrain behind him. 26-years old japanese is having tough DFC debut vs. Lee, and probably does everything he can to get this fight to ground. Andi Lee is just 20 years old but has been improving fight after fight, his stand up will probably be the x-factor in this bout, but his takedown defence will definately get tested in here.

Prelims:

Light Heavyweight: (7.) Tebato Nakara  vs. (9.) Ivan Nikolov

Bantamweight: (6.) Chong Dong vs. (8.) Martin Van Buren

Heavyweight: (9.) Qwewetgtfsdr Dsafdsfqw vs. (6.)  Batou Otsuka

Middleweight: (7.) Jack Chambers vs. (10.) Kenzo Hiroshima

Featherweight: (6.) Mike Hranica vs. (12.) David Perez

Lightweight: (11.) Mark Satorzoda vs. (12.) Phil Chip
