We made our way into the quarter finals of the Grand Prix. Not a single one of the GP fights went to a decision. In addition to that, this card matched the highest attended BFT event, was the second highest rated BFT card at 409.88, and had the highest PPV sales to date at 54,677. It was an exciting card with a lot of finishes, so let's get started

Lightweight - The former BFT Welterweight Champion and BFT Hall of Famer Guilherme "Buscape" Alves knocked out RCS, Valhalla, and FCD vet "Le dechireur" Bonhomme Sept Heures with strikes with one second remaining in the first round.

Heures brought the fight into the clinch and was landing well with some short punches and elbows. With the success Alves was having in the clinch, he brought it back there when the broke off. After a streak of successful blows, Alves dove for a takedown that was successful and started to work Sept Heures over with some ground and pound. Sept Heures went for some submission attempts, but Alves was fully alert and prepared for anything that Sept Heures was throwing. Alves kept the ground and pound flowing until the ref had to jump in and call it a knockout finish. Nice ground and pound from the Alves corner!

Lightweight - The former BFT Lightweight Champion "Mace" Enrico Mazzarri submit the former KOTC Lightweight Champion and BFT new commer Janek "Dragao" Smok with a rear naked choke at 22 seconds in the very first round.

This one was cut and dry. Mazzarri went for the takedown, and went right for the rear naked choke. Nice grappling from Mazzarri.

Grand Prix Quarter Final Match - The current BFT Middleweight Champion Chev Chelios knocked out the former BFT Lightweight Title Challenger with 7 BFT bonuses Keiji "Mach" Numa with Punches at 3:32 in round 1.

Chelios looked good at the distance and was very agressive. Numa dove in for the takedown, and was successful. He went for a submission attempt, but it was was to no avail. Chelios held on long enough to get the fight back to a verticle position. He then land a horrific combination that had Numa out for the count. Chelios makes it to the semi-finals!

Grand Prix Quarter Final Match - The former CFA Super Heavyweight Champion and former CFA and DUFF Heavyweight Champion "Fat pig" Kim Jong submit the current BFT Welterweight Champion Akihito "Rikiya" Tatsuhiko Jr with an armbar at 4:55 in round 1.

Tatsuhiko brought the fight to the ground pretty quickly, but Jong wasn't 100% caught off gaurd. He was going for submission attempts while Tatsuhiko was landing some nice ground and pound. If Tatsuhiko was a little more active, he may have been able to get the finish. Instead, Jong was able to stick on an armbar until the round came to a conclusion. Jong was able to survive the ground and pound and submit his way into the semi-finals!

Grand Prix Quarter Final Match - The current BFT Heavyweight Champion Hagen "The Barbarian" Germanicus KO'ed the 2 time former UPF Welterweight Title Challenger Oktawian "The Caesar" August with strikes at 2:55 in round 1.

It was almost a flash knock out! Germanicus started off by eating low kick, and then landed a giant uppercut that knocked August down, rocked his world, and cut him open. Germanicus dove into his gaurd looking to follow up with the ground and pound. But August was able to get himself together enough to throw some submissions up, but Germanicus was determined to land the ground and pound until he successfully put out August's lights. Germanicus ground and pound his way to the semi-finals!

Grand Prix Quarter Final Match - The Current BFT Light Heavyweight Champion "Lone Star" Dallas MacMillan knocked out the 4 time BFT Light Heavyweight Champion Titus "Tko" Kahoohalphala with strikes at 5:19 in round 2 to bring their series of fights to 4-0 in favor of MacMillan.

The two men began to trade off at the distance well. TKO got the takedown and went to work, especially with those submission attempts, but he didn't quite get it off. They got stood up, where MacMillan cut open TKO with a solid elbow in the clinch. TKO was able to get another takedown, however. MacMillan got them back up tot the feet, where he landed some solid shots until TKO went for another takedown. And that's where the round ended. The second round got started and TKO got another takedown. He still couldn't get much off there, so after a few minutes the ref stood them back up. At the ditance, the two of them weren't able to get much off. Until they found their way into the clinch. MacMillan was able to get some solid knees off. They set him up for a solid right hand that dropped TKO. The ref had no choice but to stop the fight. It was a hard fought fight, but MacMillan was able to gut his way to the semi-finals!
