Author:Jonah King

Hello fight fans, Merlin here bringing you another great preview for this Friday night's Fallen Champions event, Lost Legends 31, which will be held in front of a pack Hardknocks crowd. We have some number one contender match ups, and the whole card should just be great really so lets get it started.......

265lb+-Gorilla Guerrilla(2-6)(1-6)vsPatrick Star(0-0)(0-0)-Star by (t)KO in 2nd Rd

145lbs-Chris Seamon(5-9)(0-2)vsMirko Silva(5-8)(3-4)-Silva by UD

155lbs-Lord Steel Penn(4-4)(3-3)vsNathan Porter(1-1)(1-1)-Steel Penn by Sub in 3rd Rd

155lbs-Thioon Phitch(2-3)(0-1)vsGreg Dellaria(6-11)(3-4)-Phitch by (t)KO in 1st Rd

155lbs-JJ Tucker(6-2)(1-0)vsRing Vinayagamoorthy(2-0)(1-0)-Tucker by UD

135lbs-#7."Eating Panties"Bobby Roach(7-4)(4-3)vs#10.Kalel"#1"Iziarry(8-5)(6-5)

Our Main Card kicks off in the 135lb divisin between these two top ten fighters, who are both looking to get back on the winning track. Bobby Roach has always been known are a pure BJJ specialist, but he has shown a great improvement in his Wrestling the last couple of fights. Roach has one of the most active ground games in the org, once the fight hits the mat he is relentless with his transition and submission attempts basically tiring his opponent out until they leave an opening. Kalel Iziarry comes into this fight on a 3 fight losing streak and is in desperate need of a victory if he has any hopes of getting back to a title shot. Like his opponent Kalel is a grappler as well, but he started with a Wrestling base and has been improving his BJJ game. Kalel seems to live by the sword and die by the sword, with the majority of his wins coming by Sub and the majoriy of his loses also coming by way of Sub so it will be interesting to see how he does against the better submission fighter. I think that Roach will be able to pull off another one of his slick submissions off of his back and possibly earn himself of Submission of the night award.

265lb+-#10."The Titan"Johnny Terry(10-7)(1-1)vsLee Jackson(11-7-1)(6-3)

We go from the smallest guys on the roster to the biggest, with the Big Boys being up next. Johnny Terry is looking to bounce back after that humbling defeat at the hands of Big Show Jr back at LL27, which almost saw him fall out of the top 10. Terry is a former Golden Gloves Boxing Champion and has the power and Boxing ability to defeat anyone in the striking department, and I'm sure that he will want to take full advantage of his couple of inch reach advantage. Lee Jackson is the former first Heavyweight Champion, but after 2 unsuccessful fights against Razor he decided that it was in his career's best interest to make the move up to super Heavyweight. Jackson is pretty well rounded and should be able to hold his own wherever the fight ends up, but I think that he will try to get his opponent down and use his grappling advantage. I think that if the fight stays standing there will be fireworks, but if Jackson can get the fight to the mat it will be a long night for Terry.

155lbs-#4."The Vagabond"Sync Fowler(16-8)(0-0)vs#7.Ivan"Job"Fjeldsted(5-1)(0-0)

In this battle of top 10 Lightweights, we have these two new comers looking to make a name for themselves in their FC debut. Sync Fowler is a veteran to the sport with this going to be his 25th fight which is pretty good amount of experience for a 27 year old. Sync is riding a 3 fight win streak and hopes to use that momentum to help him earn his 13th submission victory. Sync has Collegiate level Wrestling to go with his high level Brown Belt, and once he gets the fight to the mat he is overwhelming with his submission attempts. The 24 year old Ivan Fjeldsted could be the next big thing out of that famed Convicted camp, who has been known to produce Champion after Champion. After spending the majority of his young career fighting in the QFC league Ivan is ready to make the move up to some better competition, and in his short career he has showed some nature knockout power. Ivan is a nature striker and has an uncanny ability to create angles, and he'll have to use that because he is giving up quite a bit of reach to his opponent. If this fight hits the mat it could become interesting quickly, but if Ivan can keep the fight standing he should be able to pick up his 4th knockout win.

145lbs-#3.Tommy DeVito(10-3)(0-1)vs#4.Frank Dux(14-5)(0-0)

Our Co Main event of the evening is for a number one contender for the 145lb title, and it should be one hell of a match between this two top 5 fighters. Tommy DeVito was riding a hype train coming into his FC debut back at FC 42 but was derailed by Clendennon in a fight of the night performance. The 25 year old striker likes to pepper his opponents with leg kicks to slow them down, then he just beats them up with his punches and he has plently of power to end any fight. Frank Dux is coming over after spending quite a bit of time over at OFC, where he held the belt at one point. He has a Black Belt in BJJ and some nasty submissions and slick transitions that he is not afraid to use, and he has the Wrestling to take the fight into his world. This is going to be a classic striker vs grappler match up, but DeVito may have the Wrestling to counter Dux's takedown attempts. If he can sprawl and keep the fight at striking it range it will prolly be a short night for Frank as his only real chance at a victory is to get the fight to the mat.

185lbs-#1.Henkka"Leka"Reem(14-2)(1-0)vs#3.Tarik Gibson(10-2)(4-0)

WOW, what a Main Event we have for tonight, The ex UPF-Hilo Champion and hype monster Hennka Reem is looking to earn himself a title shot but this one is going to be no cake walk. Hennka came over as the UPF Middleweight Champion, and made a big splash by taking out Olsen last week then turned around and took this fight on short notice. He is a submission specialist with 13 sub victories on his resume, but has enough Boxing to be able to hold his own long enough to get the fight to the mat where he has the clear advantage. Tarik Gibson took a long leave of absence but made his return back to the FC roster at LL 29, and took out top contender Werkka Easterlund with a nasty head kick that ended one hell of a fight. Tarik is an ex Kickboxer and will use those skills to try and knock his opponent out with any of his four limbs. Gibson is the pure definition of a Knock out artist, 10 wins=10 knockouts, only 3 of his fights two of which he lost have made it out of the first round, the guy has power and he knows how to use it. I think Reem has to come out and try to push the action to try to get a takedown, because if he stays standing it is only a matter of time before Tarik has a chance to show his power and with Reem's chin being suspect that could spell bad news for Leka!

There you have it folks a great card of some of the best action in Hilo, I wouldn't recommend missing this one as there is sure to be some future Champions in the Cage. I would like to think our sponsors the Dark Side clothing  and Pirates Powder nutrition, also a special thanks to Theodore Boston for our poster. Make sure to tune in later for another great preview!
