John Franklin v Luciano Torrentini - The main card begins with a super heavyweight match up between two of the better rounded SHWs in the division. Franklin has quite a cult following in Helsinki. He has won them over with some highlight reel subs from the arm lock specialist. Franklin is hoping for a better showing than his first round defeat to The Hulk in his Syn Euro debut. He may look to use his decided MT advantage to win this fight. Luciano comes in on the heels of his first two career losses, and is hoping to return to the high hopes many expert had for him in the Syn Euro division after he beat The Hulk in his first fight in the org. Luciano can win the fight by any means necessary. Look for this to be a very technical fight, with both men having to fight out of some tight spots at times. Odds-

Asser Toropainen v Cypress Cassidy - Asser comes into this fight in desperate need of a win. BankRupt calls Asser one of the most disappointing fighters he has ever signed. Bank had extremely high expectations of the triple sensational submissions expert. However, Asser never seemed mentally recovered from the beating at the hands of the champ Crizanto. Asser is rumored to have succumbed to alcoholism and drug abuse after the title loss. He was in horrible shape for the Tarmo fight, but seemed to be turning a corner in the Enforcer fight. Asser’s camp claims he is in the best shape of his career, and his legions of fans hope they are right. Cassidy claims that Asser at his best still cannot match the skills and he will win no matter what. Cassidy says that he has the BJJ to sub the BJJ black belt, or the striking to KO him as well. Cypress plans on keeping his streak alive and hopes to move one step closer to a title shot, and title he thinks will soon be his. Odds-

Anthony Desperado v Erik Torvaldsson - This fight pits a highly skilled journeymen vs one of the up and coming stars of Syn Euro. Desperado comes in with loads of experience in some of the biggest organizations in the world. He has seen it all and done it all. He is the camp mate and sparring partner of LHW star Cypress Cassidy. Their camp is expecting big returns this week from the two fighters. Anthony thinks his superior striking will win the day vs the lesser experienced Swedish MT expert. Torvaldsson, who is one of the biggest name athletes in his home country of Sweden, looks for an epic showdown with Desperado. His camp claims that his trainer, Goldmember, has kept him skating constantly for conditioning and on a steady diet of smokes and pancakes. Like his trainer, Erik loves GOLD!!!!!! Luckily he didn’t lose his genitalia in an unfortunate smelting accident. He does however expect to one day be the Syn Euro welterweight champion. The next step to that dream is to take out Desperado. Odds-

Red Forman v Qing Kong - The storylines are endless here. Red Forman has made no secrets about his disdain for the “pot smoking commie scum” that he is matched up against. Forman claims he will “put his foot in Kong’s ass” for the good ole U.S. of A. Forman has lost only 1 time in his last 13 fights, and seems overly confident vs. his opponent. Forman has trained hard for this fight, and claims that he will KO Kong all the way back to Asia. Kong has taken a more laid back approach. He is so mellow…so serene… he seems to be totally relaxed when asked about his opponents words. But Kong’s message is clear.. Kong only has his sights set on one man, Paden Taber. Kong claims that he is 100% confident that he will run through Forman and get himself another shot at Taber. During the entire pre-event presser Kong only allowed reporters to ask him questions about Taber. He claims that Forman is no one to him, and that he is barely worth his time fighting. Hearing this, Forman became outraged. He claimed that he rape Kong so badly that Qing will not even be able to return to Bangkok without thinking of him. This on looks like it is going to be a barn burner fans! Odds-

Urpo Nyrkki v Anthony Abaddon - The first of several epic title vs title collisions between the reigning Syn Euro champions and the HBCC titlists. Abaddon arrives in Helsinki with some unreal fanfare. JBomb pulled out all the stops for his arrival. He was booked on Helsinki’s top morning show, “Wake Up Before You freeze to Death!” Jbomb put up a billboard in the middle of town announcing the champs arrival. Anthony Abaddon has been almost totally silent as his promoter/manager/best friend has down all the talking for him. The buzz for this fight has grown considerably since his arrival. JBomb claims that Abaddon has trained with angels and sparred with gods in preparation for this fight. JBomb insists, “The A-train will not be denied!” Urpo feels he will derail the hype train that has sped into Helsinki. Coming off the biggest win of his career, Urpo says that he expects to continue to fight the best and prove he is the best in the world. His days of losing are far in the past in the unscrupulous NFC. Urpo says he has turned the page and looks to become number one at 185 someday. Already ranked 12th in the world at185, beating Abaddon could go a long way to fulfilling that dream.
