Buddy "Boom Boom" Deen recently began his MMA career the right way...With a BIG 2nd round TKO! Deen comes from a boxing background. He won the National Amature Golden Gloves title just last year and began dreaming of a fight career shortly afterwards. His only question was would it be in the boxing game or would he become an MMA fighter. That question was answered a couple of nights ago when he TKO'd Tom "The Bearcat" Cat in the 2nd round of their scheduled 3 round fight. "Boom Boom's" night didn't start as well as it ended as he was out boxed by the well rounded Cat in the beginning of the first round, but not far into round one Deen landed a big right that cut Cat. "The Bearcat" showed his toughness as he continued to land punches and actually won round one fairly easily. Less than two minutes into round two the tide started to change. Deen began landing more shots and you could tell Cat's big heart was starting to wither. His cut opened even worse, Cat made one final attempt to land a big head kick, but when he missed it was the beginning of the end. Deen countered with yet another thunderous right and Cat went down. "Boom Boom" followed him and began landing right hands and elbows causing the referee to step in immediately. The fight was officially called at the 2:26 mark of round 2 and Buddy "Boom Boom" Deen's hand was raised in victory. He had won his first fight and say's he is on his way to becoming the Super Heavyweight Champion of the world! 

When interviewed in the dressing room Deen said, "My sponsor, Supersize Me, is as much to blame for Cat getting KO'ed as anyone. You can't take the type of nutrients they provide me with without becoming a bigger, stronger, faster fighter...and this is just the beginning!"
