 Its time again for the EMMA fighters to get their hands wrapped up and step in our cage, ready to scrap. EMMA 12 will take place this Decemeber 23rd at the Underground Arena in Montreal and features 10 great MMA fights.Lets take a closer look at some of the more hyped fights on the EMMA 12 card.
Johnson vs Liddell
In the main event of the evening we have a great bantamweight scrap between two tough EMMA representatives. With the 135lbs tourney coming to an end its important we keep matching up and commers together to get a continues flow in the division. Johnson (3-1) recently bounced back from his only carreer loss defeating Giovinco by decision at EMMA 7. Johnson is a good wrestler with solid muay thai and uses his wrestling to keep fights standing. He has only won by decision, so everyone hopes he will be looking for a finish in his next fight. Liddell (6-4-1) is a explosive boxer wrestler known for just getting in there to scrap and not worrying to much about what could happen. Liddell is coming of a decision loss against George st Piere which lost him his spot in the tourney and will be looking to make a statement. This main event is actually a rematch with Johnson's only loss coming at the hands of liddell. Both fighters use their wresteling in reverse so we are due a great stand up battle between a boxer and muay thai fighter. Johnson needs to do what he does best, mix it up and look to control Liddell in the clinch while Liddell will most likely be going for the KO, like he did last time.

Davis vs Mitchell
In the Co main event two great ground fighters are going at it in order to make a statement in a crowded 185lbs division. Davis (5-0) is one of EMMA's best prospects in MMA and brings an impressive 100% finish rate into this fight. Mitchell has a purple belt in BJJ but has had a hard time translating into MMA, he dropped his last two fights. Mitchell is getting a big chance to jump the ladder in this fight against Davis which should vault him up the EMMA rankings. Davis uses a similar gameplan to most of his fights as he enjoys taking guys down and beating them up and it has been very effective so far. Mitchell is most likely going to find himself on his back as Davis holds the superior wresteling and the question is are his submissions good enough to catch Davis in something. Davis is no slouch in BJJ and holds very good defensive submissions skills. Considering the momentum Davis has behind him, a big win here could put him in title contention.

Grimley vs Drogba
The EMMA 155 lbs division needs new contenders for the kingpin Ray Oliver and the fight between Grimley vs Drogba will show us who can go on a run. Both fighters are coming of their first proffesional loss and fans are interested to see who is going to bounce back. Grimley (1-1) has very good BJJ and good wrestling in order to get the fight to the ground while Drogba is a very competent striker, both with his hands and feet. This match is the classic matchup of striker vs grappler and its safe to say that whoever can get the fight where they want it should be able to take him the W.
