Event Review: Rivals LXI: Oh vs. Tikkanen II

Congratulations to all the winners @ LXI. There were a couple surprises most notably in the 205 division where 6 time champion Dongmin Oh was dethroned by Esa Tikkanen and Muay Tibs made his presence known by defeating the ex-4 time champion Siegfried Freak. Sounds like a changing of the guard may have taken place right before our eyes last night. There is no doubt in my mind that Oh will be back, hungrier than ever to get that belt back. In fact Oh already beat Tikkanen once before so a rubber match is definitely needed. That match will have to wait because first up will be Tikkanen vs Tibs and I have also recently added a few more big names to that division. If you take a good look at 205 you will see that it has become very top heavy and will most definitely produce some of the greatest fights in Eternal Rivals history. Dongmin Oh will have to work for that rematch and Tikkanen better hold on tight to that belt because he will have a lot of targets on his back!

Another match of note was a #1 contender match in the 170lbs division. Jack Pot slides into first place in the divisional standings with a 1st round submission win over Rurik Kokovtsov. He will still need to get past the current champion Luke Jones before he can truely be the king of that division.

For the next event we have a super fight match up in the heavyweight division. A former Four Kings heavyweight champion expressed his desire to fight our current four time champion, Nathan Speed. File this fight in the "Legendary" section in the Eternal Rivals history books!  I think its safe to say that someone will be knocked out in the fight.

There will also be a title on the line in the 135lbs division seeing current champion Prince Funkyama defending his belt against the man he took the belt from, and the former five time champion, Ricardo Ramirez.  This is a rubber match for these guys so no doubt each of them would like to settle this score once and for all. The 135 division is also getting heavy at the top so there will be no shortage of contenders in line for that belt once this rivalry is set in stone!
