Preview: EMMA 10 - The Big Bang

This Decemeber 7th EMMA is going to be putting one of the largest shows in Emma history. A whopping total of 6 title fights make this one of the most stacked cards in the whole of Montreal. This card can reshape the EMMA rankings, cement solid champions, create rising stars and entertain your ass off for sure! Lets take a closer look at the fights on the card!

Stock Pile v How Long

Even though it is the first fight of the night the fans can still expect a fiery fight. Pile holds an impresive record of 7-3 with 5 wins by T(KO) and comes into this fight with more to lose. He holds the advantage in every aspect of the game over Long (4-0). Long has come through in similar positions which will still make for a great fight.

Johnny Clement v Skinner Crowe

The first title fight of the night pitches the two best EMMA featherweights against each other for the right to wear to 145lbs belt. Crowe (5-0) not only has an impresive record, he also holds the advantage in Boxing, Wresteling and BJJ. Clement is a very well rounded MMA fighter with a feeble receord of 6-4, although he has won 4 out of his last 5. Although Muay Thai is not his best skill, thats where he can win this fight.

Ricky Bubbles v Jayavarman Wongkrachang

This fight pitches two undefeated up and comers against each other and the winne will be a in a good position to request a fast track to a title shot. The fight is very even with Bubbles (3-0, 2TKO) taking a slight boxing advantage into the cage and Wongkrachang (4-0, 3TKO) has the better muay thai. There wresteling and BJJ is pretty even so we should see a great stand up war.

Slim Crowe v George St Pierre

Two top welterweights face off for bragging rights as they try to shine on a night jam packed with great fights. St Piere (3-1) will be looking to bounce back from his only pro defeat against Crowe (5-1) he is undefeated in his last 5 fights. Crowe is the much better standup fighter and should be getting in and out pretty fast. St Pierre does have a wresteling advantage and might try and grind out a decesion, on the feet he is no match for crowe.

Gamble Jack V Stanton Crowe

To tough heavy weights colide in the last fight of the night before the title fights. Both fighters hold a combined 10 KOs so we are guaranteed a barn burner. Crowe (6-2) just had his win streak snapped and is looking to bounce back against Jack (5-1). Crowe is the better ground fighter and might even be better in the clinch than Jack. Jack needs to keep this fight on the outside and try go for the KO, which will be hard since Crowe hasnt been KOd in 8 pro fights.

Eli Crowe v Donnie Alto

The second title fight of the night brings you the two best LHWs currently under conract with EMMA. Crowe (6-1) is on a huge streak and is enjoying quite a bit of hype finishing all his fights be KO. Alto (7-2,1) is back in the win collumn although he only lost one fight in his last 3. He is still more experienced than Crowe and takes a big BJJ advantage into the cage. He has never submitted anyone in the cage and really needs to pull his purple belt out of the bag for this fight. In standup both fighters are pretty evenly matched although Alto does have a questionable chin and Crowe his been knocking guys out left and right.

Mos Def v Sonny Boom

The two best Welterweights face off in the cage next as Sonny Boom tries to defend his belt against Mos def. Boom (6-1) hasnt tasted defeat in 4 pro fights but will face his toughest opponent yet. Mos Def (9-2) has fought in various other promotions and brings good BJJ into the cage. The fight is fairly even every where else and really looks like Most Def's fight to loose. If he can get the fight to the ground Boom will have a tough night.

Gareth McCall v Jason Miller

Garth McCall is one of the highest touted prospects in montreal at the moment and comes in the cage undefeated at 6-0 with 5 wins by TKO. His opponenet Miller (4-1) is best known for his antics outside the cage but does bring respectable BJJ into the cage. Miller needs to get this fight to the ground but since McCall has a big wresteling advantage that might be easier said that done.

Harlan Crowe v Barry Rig

This is literally the biggest fight on the card as the two best EMMA super heaveyweights go at it for the belt. Harlan Crowe  brings an impresive 6 wins with no losses into the cage with 4 of those wins coming by way of KO. His opponenent, Rig (5-1) is getting a big chance to come back from his first pro loss and brings a slight muay thai advantage into the fight. Crowe is the much better boxer and wrestler so we will most likeley so these two guys slug it out.

Timmy Soupra vs The Ultimate Warrior

Easily the most anticipated bout of the night as one of EMMA's biggest talents tries to defend his heavyweight belts. Soupra (8-0) is being labeld as the next big thing at heavyweight but will have a tough fight ahead of him. The Ultimate Warrior (4-0) also puts his undefeated record on the line. Soupra is a tough stand up fighter but is most known for finishing guys of with his slick submussions skilss while The Ultimate Warrior is a lethal brawler. Although Warrior is seen as a boxer, a lot of his wins come from clinch where he puts his dangerous dirty boxing to use. Soupra has more weighs of winning the fight but this is MMA and soupra has never really been tested before.
