PFL

Editorial by Ken Enlow

PFL (Pick’em Fight League) 15 is coming to an end with (at this time of this writing) five events left. If you do not know what PFL is, it is a game where you pick winners on pick’em threads for UFC Events. The league is ran by Kenlow73 and has been since its’ second season. The seasons run half years, events from January to June and events from July to December. With a 20k buyin and donations, three Tycoon Cash prizes are available each season, though most people use enough for the next season’s buyin and roll the rest over.

With five events left (at the time of this writing) PFL has come down to the final four, with everybody else out of contention. The final four now is Kenlow73 (138-72), followed by Fallen.Angel and Jacman both at (130-80), PJ Jones at (124-61).

The Mechanic strikes again!

Fighter profile of Ivan Jankovic by Antonio Hernandez

Ivan Jankovic captured the Carnival Combat Club Middleweight championship in fashion, head kicking Gilbervan Soares' head into the nose bleed section. A performance that garnered him some extra pocket change, the promoter showered him with a knockout of the night bonus.

Ivan was an amateur kickboxing champion in Serbia before moving to America to train at Convicted Top Team with his now retired cousin, Marko "The Sniper" Jankovic. Ivan's career started with some controversy after he took a dive in his debut to Free Valesquez from the imperialist scum. He followed it up by head kicking the Ukraine Putin to end the war in Eastern Europe. He single handedly defeated the Russian Bear not once, but twice. Unfortunately he stubbed his toe in the process, but that was obviously the American's fault - most likely a plot by the CIA and the Tycoon Committee to sabotage his promising career.

Cleon Wright: The Issue of a "Glass Chin" in Comba

Fighter profile of Cleon Wright by James McCarthy

Cleon Wright, an experienced competitor in both MMA and kickboxing, has faced significant challenges in his career, notably being knocked out nine times. This recurring issue has led to discussions about whether Wright has a "glass chin," a term used to describe fighters who are particularly susceptible to being knocked out.

Understanding the "Glass Chin" Phenomenon

Physiological Factors: A "glass chin" can be attributed to several physiological factors. Some fighters may have a less resilient jaw structure or weaker neck muscles, which can affect their ability to absorb punches. The force of a blow can cause the brain to move rapidly within the skull, leading to a knockout.

Cumulative Damage: Over time, repeated impacts can weaken a fighter’s resistance to punches. Wright’s career, marked by multiple knockouts, suggests that cumulative brain trauma may ha

Summer Slaughter

Editorial by Albert Summertop

The Summer Slaughter event is almost upon us and it's gearing up to be even crazier than it's previous edition The Christmas Massacre.

It's likely around twenty fighters will be taking part this time around and all aiming to top the table and win the tycoon dollar prizes that are on offer.

Starting on the first of June and continuing over the course of the month, fights will take place every other day using the beloved Swizz format. Don't know what that is? Look it up cheif as neither do the tournament organisers. At least not well enough to explain it. All you need to know is that every other day, some very exhausted, battered and bruised fighters will be hobbling towards the cage in pursuit of mmatycoon greatness.

Join us (as a spectator, places are filled now. Snooze you lose) and be a part of the Summer Slaughter madness.
