HERO 31: Pacquiao vs Mustonen

Prelims

Light Heavyweight Division:  Rob Tandy vs Davor Langerholc

Tandy pulled guard early in the first round, which was an odd strategy. Langerholc was more than happy to ground and pound from the top until he saw submission openings. Once the arm triangel presented itself, Davor jumped on the opportunity and

HELLO and WELCOME BACK to another Titillating Night! Tapout or Passout 17 is another sellout event, and we have not one, but TWO Belts on the line tonight! Tapout or Passout 17 Seek & Destroy has already been Sought! We are now gathered here to see who will be Destroyed!

We start off this night with the Rumbling of Giants! Our gargantuan combatants weighed in at 265, but these fellas seem like they REALLY hit the buffet afterwards! The cage can hopefully support this battle!

Rueben 'El Patron' Hernandez vs 'Doomsday' Donny McDoogle

'El Patron' is bringing some Granite to this Work of Art with some Stone fists and Boxing that is simply Wonderful! He has some sweet BJJ and can hold his own (but hopefully not in front of the camera and crowd) in his all-around game, but his Passion is Punching! Doomsday also reads from a similar resume. He swings for the fences and your Chin! He can handle himself and yourself on the ground, but if I was truly channelling my Psychic Skills, this will be a 'Stand-up until Someone Falls Down' situation! The BELL RINGS! Hernandez shoots for a takedown! Doomsday defends well but El Patron ends up in Doomsday's guard! El Patron is tossin some Ground and/or Pound! OOOH it looks like Doomsday has been CUT!!! El Patron IS THROWING! He tosses this, that, and the other thing! He is tossing the whole kitchen sink! Who is Gonna Do Them Dishes!!! But even that MISSES somehow! Doomsday is defending his full guard and protecting himself well from any strikes! El Patron is PUSHING! But the boulder is too large, no progress made! He lands a Sharp Elbow! Doomsday has been opened up even more. It's a gusher! El Patron is pressing forward, but Doomsday has isolated an arm and goes for a Kimura! El Patron defends it well, and reclaims that arm! El Patron throws an elbow that narrowly glances, but Doomsday

YEAH!!! What's happening my boys? It's ya boy, Ganja, coming to you live from my basement. I know what you're thinking. Who is this guy and what is he doing? Well, I'm the new writer, bitches. I'll be reviewing all di fights now, so you better get used to my nice, caramel skin. Enough of the introductions, you came here to hear about the fights. God damn! Give me a minute! Being here in Rio was something else for sure. I love the big-booty Brazilian women, the big bottles of beer and the big, fat joints they sell here. Sure, sure you want to hear about the fights, I'll be getting there in a second. Nothing like a handful of ass and three thousand screaming fans to get my blood flowing. Ganja's back and he's excited to be here at The Wild Den! The playful banter is over, let's review the fights. Shall we?

Main Event:

"Tetra Master" Wedge Xiii (8-0) Vs. Gim "The Jester" Ruut (12-3)

This fight proved why the org is called The Wild Den. Ganja has said many times he loves the lower weight classes and these guys only deepen my love. The long time champion, Wedge Xiii was defending his title for the fifth time. Jesus! Can anyone stop his monstrous takedowns? Gim Ruut was looking answer that question, and he did, kinda. Ruut brought a Boxing/BJJ attack to the fight, hoping to neutralized the champ's world class Wrestling. The champ was in control from the start. All the fights in MMA start standing, but that doesn't mean they'll end that way. The champ easily took the challenger down after a brief exchange of strikes and began his renown ground and pound.  Ruut managed to get up momentarily but was taken back down shortly after. The champion continued to dominate the action and even tried for an Americana. After his failed sub attempt, Xiii went back to work with his wrestling and willingly started to land blows on his opponent. Ruut looked like he wasn't even trying to defend. I gotta hand it to Ruut though, he hung in there with a superior wrestler and constantly fought for control. Sadly, effort doesn't win fights. The champion continued to rain down blows, rocking the challenger late in the first. Xiii landed and massive elbow that set up the two huge shots that knocked Ruut into week. The ref surprisingly stopped the fight on time. Incompetent refs are very common these days...

Wedge Xiii wins via TKO (Strikes) in 3:56 of round one

HWP292: Ankle vs. Baramari! PREVIEW

What's cracking crackers? Sorry for the tardiness of the preview but I am working harder than a child protection worker in the Vatican City. The important thing is that I am here for you, you know that don't you? As per usual we have a red hot card coming at you courtesy of Heavyweight Prize Fighting and as per usual usual some of the biggest names in the business are featured on it. As per usual usual usual I'll be giving you the run down of the 4 main fights of the event but I shall also be bringing you K-Rad's kick ass tips. I didn't actually check to see how my tips last week ended up, hopefully you jokers got rich off of my genius, if not... your own fault for listening to me.

"Tim" Tiny McGee vs. Matt "The Jew" Mutt

Boxing fans have been salivating at the prospect of seeing world class pugilists "Tim" mcGee and "The Jew" Mutt go toe-to-toe with a big of bit of kickboxing thrown in for good measure. Both men are sensational with their hands which is evidenced by both men having all of their wins come via KO. Mutt is the lighter and older fighter and had his 3 fight win streak put to an end in his last appearance so he'll be keen as mustard to turn that around whereas "Tim" is going strong with 2 in a row and will be keen to make it 3 tonight. I wouldn't expect this fight to go to ground but with McGee proving he has the far superior chin Mutt may well be going through all of his options and if he did decide to he would probably have what it takes to get the fight down and score a submission win. As mentioned though, I wouldn't expect this to happen and I expect the two men to stand and bang where McGee should take out the KO because, as his fighter bio says, "I fuck people up for a living".

"The Divine Tragedy" Tristan Alighieri vs. Berry "Snuff Box" Fulcher

To keep running with the standup theme we have "Divine Tragedy" Alighiero, lesser known brother of Dante, as he takes on "Snuff Box" Fulcher, possibly named as such due to his tendency to rub himself under other men's noses. "Snuff Box" has the standup advantage here, although both men box very competently, but with KOs being their modus operandi I wouldn't be thinking that Alighiero's ground superiority will be coming into play. Alighieri has a solid 23lbs more weight than Fulcher, so the option is there for the takedown but with Fulcher having shown in the past that it is very possible to knock him out I'd be expecting "Divine Tragedy"

BFT - 138 Review

Middleweight - Jason "Red Eye" Craft knocked out Gary "Take That" Barlow with a kick and punches at 3:07 in the first round.

Barlow looked like he was hell bent on taking the fight to the ground. In under a minute, he attempted 4 takedowns with only one being successful. He then wokedhard on the ground trying to get what he wanted: a sumbission. But then Craft had enough and got things back to the feet. Barlow tried his best to take the fight back to the ground, but it was to no avail. Craft just lit up Barlow, and destroyes him grom the ground up with leg kicks. A head kick sealed the deal.

Welterweight - Jake Shields submitted Daniel Alkofer a guillotine choke at 3:57 in the first round.

Alkofer started off looking like he was going to just have his way. He was landing punches and stopping the takedowns. He even cut Jake open with an early punch. Daniel just went for it on the feet, but a missed head kick left enou

"Capt"n" Jacques Hallow: Past to Present

Fighter profile of Jacques Hallow by John Hetfield

The Canadian big man, Jacques Hallow, has been making a name for himself far from his hometown of Grise Fiord. ‘Cap’n’ Jacques currently is fighting in Amsterdam where his manager brought him to fight of the Untouchable Fight League’s super heavyweight divison upon its opening of that division.

Hallow used to work for his family fishing company, where he was captain of his own ship, hence the nick name. Though his family is originally from Grise Ford and he lived there for many years, Jacques been living in many towns alongside the coast line of Canada for work. In his teens, Jacques developed an interest in weight lifting, which helped him out with work as well. It didn’t take him long to develop huge amounts of strength and he soon got a reputation as one of the strongest man around in every town he set foot in.

“The family moved a lot because of the numbers of the fish we caught being to low at times to keep paying the bills, and every town we got in I joined a gym and just spend every free moment I had there. It didn’t take long before people noticed my strength and started to try to get me in to fighting. I did not have much interest at the time, I was trying to help the family out and make sure we had food on the table. Though there came a point where the numbers were so low, and the expenses were barely covered, I had to do something about it.”

And that’s where Hallow made the decision to start fighting. He didn’t make much money when he started to fight in the local amateur scenes, but it was enough to put food on the table and his family was able to keep the company going.

“When I started to fight, I made about 200 bucks a for my first two fights. I was just fighting bums, guys that thought they were badass because they were big and brawled in bars every weekend. Damn.

Brad Bradley

Fighter profile of Brad Bradley by

Brad "BB Gun" Bradley was, like many of the wprld's greatest things, discovered by accident.  His manager, Jimmy Jason, discovered him while watching a  regional MMA fight on the internet during a rainy mid-summer day.  Seeing the Bradley was unsigend, Jason raced to his cell as soon as the match to contact the 19 year old fighter about the possibility of joining his Los Angeles based crew of promising young fighters.  After securing permission from his parents, Bradlet agreed to transfer to an online college in order to focus on his MMA career.  The first step was to get Bradley from his hometown of Montreal to Los Angeles, where Jason is based.  Jason booked the young fighter tickets for a September 21st flight to LA.  Meanwhile, Jimmy Jason got in touch with a manager and business owner named Rodrigo Olivera.  Jason had contacted Olivera about the possibility of securing a sponsorship from his clothing company, Torment Fightwear, for one of his other fighters, Case Cassidy.  Not

Fighter profile of Unski Hallavaara by

Unski "Juggernaut " Hallavaara Started boxing at age 18. Was 2-0 when he got his first title shot. Upon winning his first title, he successfully defended it once and he was getting paid had everything, girls, house, fancy cloths, jewelry’s, fast cars, and a big house. He stopped training hard and partied more and when his second title defense came around he got the surprise of his life.  KO (Head Kick)  loss in the first round 01:53. He was out cold and they had to use smelling salt to revive him. He was in the hospital for a few days and was released and sent home. After watching the tape of the fight, he realize how he had let fame and all the glamour get in his head and  now he had lost the title he worked so hard to get in the first place. So he was back in the gym and his return fight saw him ko his opponent in the first round under a min. He was now focus less partying and more training and he was on a 2 fight winning st
