RICK PIANO

Had a hell of a run over the last few months.  Won 12 fights in a row in a murderers row of opponents,  was #1 p4p and king of the world, so yall remember that shit during the "of the year" awards LOL Hats off to Kilo, he fucked me up and proved to be the better man right now.  Gonna be interesting to see if he can dominate of if the belt bounces around.   With that said I could retire today like some of the guys that are on top that finally meet that guy that has their number.  They give up, because they lack balls.  While they may be 22.37% smaller than they use to be, Rick Piano has a set of fuzzy balls and he aint no fuckin quiter.    There isnt much left to accomplish as a MMA fighter for me so after my next fight and last of my contract, your boy here is making the cross over into Kick-Boxing with the ultimate goal of reaching the top spot in KT as well and really go down a fucking legend!   So Jorge "The Colossus" Cruz Jr , get your shit together and lets get on this Supernova card and throw down!

Ladies and Gentleman, ahead of one of the most anticipated events in Synchronicity history we get to witness two of the worlds greatest Middleweight prize fighters go at it to prove who is the best P4P Middleweight in the world. Our guest this evening is the champion of Synchronicity and absolute wrecking machine, Pekka “Punchmaster General” Toivonen (32-10). Pekka currently holds the #1 spot for Middleweight fighters across the globe and on April 25th he will be taking on undefeated champion of Stoners Fight League, Edison “Zico” Atunes (23-0)! Pekka, who is sponsored by Convicted and Pwnage clothing, is recognized by multiple organizations as one of the greatest and is even in the Hall of Fame for Synchronicity. His highest ranking of all time was the 2nd P4P fighter and his fans believe that with a win over Zico, he will be regarded as the pound for pound fighter in all of MMA Tycoon.

Q: Regarded as the best Middleweight in the game and the number 4 pound for pound fighter in the world, riding a four fight win streak and holder of the Synchronicity Middleweight Title, Ladies and Gentleman we have the machine, Pekka  "Punchmaster General" Toivonen!
A: Thank you for catching me on work break. I'd give a shoutout to Finnish labor union, but Tosen threw the union leader from the top of the Convicted skyscraper in Helsinki.

Q. Wow Tosen seems like a mad man. Good thing he takes out all his aggression with you guys at the gym. Anyways, it is great to be with you, no doubt a legend in your own right. Before we get into this upcoming match up with Edison Atunes, I just want to ask you how training has been going for you over at Tosens Home for Lost Boys?
A: Training has had to take a back seat because the gym has had major issues with plumbing. Shitty Brazilian pipes decided to shit the bed last month, a literal showering Demon Monkey had rancid diarrhea in the gym communal shower. I have been working on fixing after garbage Brazilian workers, no doubt labor organized. I expect mister Tosen to toss someone from a skyscraper as sanction for poop-based atrocity.

QAhh yes, showering Demon monkeys. The worst. Especially when they have rancid diarrhea. So, imagining that your preparation is going well with just over a couple weeks left till the fight, what improvements have you noticed in your overall game?
A: As for improvement, I bought a fancy new wrench with my cut of winnings from last fight. In fighting terms, I am an old man and only in it for carnage and easy paycheck. I am definitely a worse fighter than in the last fight.

Q: Nice, I have my eyes on a Craftsman 9 piece wrench set actually. Just waiting for it to go on sale. Getting off track again, Edison is no doubt one of the best middleweights in the MMA world, second to you according to the rankings, does this create a different level of angst for you or are you someone who goes in without care to your opponent?
A: Zico is the next generation of Convicted, a top fighter. I am very honored to be the first person to bomb him back to stone age.

Q. Upon closer inspection of this fight it does not look to me that this fight will go to the mat at all unless someone gets knocked down, both you and Atunes seem to be fighters with a preference in standing and trading with their opponents, do you see the fight playing out this way?
A: If I wanted to play grab-ass I would be back in a disco sauna in Turku, not roll around with another muscly man in a steel cage.

Q: I definitely want to hear more of this Turku disco sauna. Listen, critics of Atunes have shared that he has not fought competition to your level of caliber or experience. Would you agree with this and if so what really separates you from any of his past opponents?
A: Zico is a very tough fighter. Critics are, how you say, fucking morons.

Q. Right, morons those guys, like gah. Anyways, of course there are critics, or morons, of yours as well who have claimed you are entering the twilight of your career and on your way out. How do you respond to those voices?
A: I fail to see how stating facts is criticism. I am old and decrepit.

Q: Looking back on your career, were you ever surprised you made it this far or do you feel as though you still have yet to make it?
A: What kind of bullshit question is that. I punch people ever since pee wee hockey, they fall down. Then I punch people in world title fights, they fall down too. After I punched Edison Atunes, he will also fall.

Q: You may be surprised to know, I did not know you played pee wee hockey, what a fascinating fact for me to know. You werent always a pee wee you grew up and were once a light heavyweight and a heavyweight prize fighter. In the foreseeable future could you see yourself moving up in weight to take the title?
A:  I like punching fat boys. The way they jiggle hahahaahah

Q: That totally reminds me, let me show you this youtube video after this interview. Speaking of the light heavyweights, who do you think takes it: Whymer or Gaurda?
A:  Pekka.

Q: Well, by the sounds of that it sounds like you are definitely interested in moving up in weight. Share with us a little about your experience of Synchronicity and the promotions owner Chuck, you have been here a long time. What separates this promotion from others for you?
A: Murdering other old men in Syn does not get in the way of my blossoming HVAC business.

Q: I imagine with that new wrench you have business is a booming! Well champ it's time we let you go! Any final words for your fans?
A: I fix air conditioning too. Cheaper and better than Brazilian union workers. Also put life savings on brutal knockout.

Friends thank you so much for joining us for this awesome Interview. We want to wish the very best of luck to the monster Pekka and his opponent Edison when they do battle on Sunday, April 25th. A very special thank you to Chuck who runs one phenomenal org and to Pekka and his manager Freako Wimp for doing this interview with me. If you as a Manager or Fighter wish to schedule out some time for a quick interview and grow your personal brand send us a line and we can get started! Thank you to Chuck who puts on this fantastic fights and all the Managers at Synchronicity

Maluga vs Spike

A Preview

April 10th main card see's five matchups that look to reshape the entire heavyweight division. This event takes place in the historic Tokyo Bowl in Tokyo, Japan where nearly 90,000 people are expected to be in attendance! This event is sponsored by Ma Balls is Hot Clothing! My Balls is Hot, so take it off! That is actually not their catchphrase I just coined that. On Saturday we see Heavyweight Champion of the world Kilo “Bloodbath” Maluga step in for his second title defense against the always dangerous Sunray Spike! In the Co-Main event we will witness McNasty take on The Barbarian, what most likely is a number one contender match up for the Heavyweight strap. This main card promises viewers non stop action from the first match until the very end! My name is Tycoon Hec and I have worked alongside the great Chuck w94 before prior to Synchronicity, I'm grateful to be sharing with you all an event preview as a gift to my long time friend and I wish to say goodluck to all the managers and their fighters!

Kilo Maluga vs Sunray Spike

Synchronicity Heavyweight Championship

In what is being considered by many as a massive heavyweight match up fight fans get to witness their new Heavyweight Champion Kilo "Bloodbath" Maluga (20-6) defend his title for the second time against the number 5 Heavyweight in Sunray Spike (33-13-1). Spike is currently riding a six fight win streak with four of those wins coming by way of knockout! Spike, who is nearing the end of his career started when he was only 17 years old back in June of 2015. The longtime prize fighter has had multiple managers but no manager better at his side than Pablo Spezziale. The HeavyMetal fighter will look to dismantle the current champion in Maluga by any means necessary but it is pretty obvious that a Knockout finish is what he will favor. Kilo, who has just completed a trilogy with Rick Piano looks to move forward with his fight career and establish himself not only as a legend in Synchronicity but as a legend of MMA Tycoon. The Chris Karter fighter who is sponsored by Convicted was seen at his gym, Convicted Fight Club, in Los Angeles putting in more hours than usual. His gym mates have spoken to the vast growth they have seen in his striking defense and punch technique in the recent months. The 28 year old Kilo believes that his age will be a major factor in how he pulls off an incredible win against the 41 year old Spike. Recent social media polls indicate they expect Kilo to edge out on this fight before the third round begins. A majority of fans are hopeful that should Kilo and Barbarian win their matches on April 10th we will see a fifth fight between Kilo and Barbarian which will surely bring the house down! Many fans are expecting that this fight will be a stand and trade experience and expect Kilo will at some point utilize his clinch game to finish the fight from there.

Prediction: Kilo Maluga is famous for his walk off knockouts and I consider that he retains the Heavyweight title after another one punch knockout and believe that we will see the fifth match with Barbarian very soon!

Mister McNasty vs Conor The Barbarian

Co-Main Event and a Heavyweight Match-up

The classic English vs Irish battles continue once again as Mister “White Tyson” McNasty (34-14-1) battles against his Irish opponent Conor the Barbarian (24-5). Conor, the former Synchronicity champion, has entered new management under the classic Bwang Jong Sr. With 24 of his 25 wins coming by way of knockout this beast is looking to make a run for the title on the same night his greatest rival, Kilo Maluga fights. Doing it against Bjorn O'Donnell's fighter Mister McNasty will certainly be a feat. McNasty who has won 4 of his last 5 fights by way of knockout certainly knows a thing or two about getting the job done. Having been knocked out only once in his career by the great Rick Piano, McNasty did not hesitate in accepting this opportunity in taking on knockout artist in The Barbarian. The feeling of respect between these two is certainly high but one has to imagine that these two fighters truly believe they will be the one to come out with their hand raised while as fans we can see this going both ways. Despite McNasty only being finished once in his career, if there was a second guy to do it McNasty would probably be it and although Barbarian is ready to launch himself back up in top contention spot, doing so against McNasty would probably not be the person to start that conversation with. That shared, the winner of this fight will be quickly in the pool of names the Heavyweight Champion will be looking at to face after tonight. On paper this fight looks serious so even it is quite difficult to pick a winner. I truly believe this fight is a toss up but my heart tells me that Barbarian wants it more and wants to face Kilo Maluga for a fifth fight.

Prediction: Conor the Barbarian knows how dangerous and aggressive his opponent will be come Saturday. I think he plays it smart countering and dropping Mister McNasty for a finish.

Rick Piano vs Jorge Cruz Jr.

Heavyweight Match-up

When former pound for pound fighter world,  “The Big, Bad, Booty Daddy” Rick Piano (38-14) steps into the cage Saturday night you can guarantee every eye will be carefully observing his every move especially against his opponent, the giant from Philadelphia, Jorge "The Colossus" Cruz Jr. (25-13). Piano, who is by all accounts one of the best Heavyweights to ever do it, was stopped twice by the current Heavyweight Champion Kilo Maluga. Prior to his loss against Kilo, Piano was on a 12 fight win streak defeating the likes of Heavyweight warriors like that of Wolf, Rain, Spike, Barbarian and even the now Champion Maluga! His morale took a little hit and his fans had hoped he would take a little more time to recoup and gather his confidence back but the Big Bad Booty Daddy could not sit on the couch for long. Jorge, a strong contender in the Heavyweight Division, who stands nearly 7 feet, had seen the morale dip and is curious as all the fight fans if we will see the same dangerous Piano come Saturday night. Jorge aims to hand Rick his third loss in a row by knockout and put himself at the top of the heavyweight division. A finisher by all accounts of the term, Cruz Jr. has knocked out 23 of his 25 opponents and his coaches over at Randalls Top Team anticipate him breaking the will of Piano at Saturday night's performance. Despite my continued focus on the height advantage of Cruz, it does not seem to phase the fearsome Booty Daddy. His coaches have shared that the height difference should really not be much of a factor for Rick as he has fought numerous opponents with a significant height advantage. There is a tendency he holds against these fighters to clinch up with taller fighters and land significant body shots. Cruz has also been susceptible to those fighters who have clinched up and landed body shots. The game plan for Cruz may be more of that of a counter striker and landing kicks from distance and body shots. He hopes that with an impressive and dominant finish over Cruz on Saturday Night we will see him compete once again for Gold. Both of these heavyweight fighters are just so dangerous in the standup that it is almost guaranteed we will see a knockout at any point it is just a matter of who lands first.

Prediction: Rick Piano lands a heavy right hook after faking Jorge out sending himself back to top contention spot once again and Jorge out of the top ten.

Yardbird Knox vs Pauke Murhapuro

Heavyweight Match-up

Two top 25 heavyweights are making fight fans' mouths water as they gear up for this Saturday night. The Heavyweight Submission Specialist Pauke Murhapuro (16-10) has a massive 12 wins by submission while his opponent Yardbird Knock (16-5) is a fighters fighter through and through. Despite Pauke coming off a recent loss against Sunray Spike, who is challenging for the title later on the card, Pauke managed to rack up a four fight win streak in the arguably the toughest division in Synchronicity. In his last four fights he managed to submit both Lenny Kowalski, a black belt out of Hardman MMA, and “The Monster of Montmatre” Thierry Paulin. Knox, who has been submitted twice, is quite aware of his opponents love for the Jiu Jitsu and plans to avoid the ground game at all costs where he has been submitted twice. Yardbirds coaches have said they're not even worried about the ground game as the only one who is working on the ground is the doctors when they are recovering Pauke from the first  round knockout. This is not too hard to believe as Yardbird is coming off a five fight win streak where the most of his 3 fights were all knockouts. Yardbird, who like many other heavyweights on the card, is hoping that with an impressive knockout performance he can be put in title contention with the best of the heavyweights. This is one of those fights where we can expect a finish. Despite how much defensive grappling or striking defense the other has been training on, the opponent is just far better in his respected realm and should be able to safely secure a win, the question is, who?

Prediction: Pauke will seek to destroy as he provides a wild submission victory late in the third round after wearing Yardbird down with ground and pound in the first two rounds.

Bismack Kagonbo vs Theirry Paulin

Heavyweight Match-up

When these two long titans go at it Saturday Night fans will be in a treat of what is being hailed as a legendary match. Bismack “Kongo: Kagonbo (31-22) is aiming to get back in the win column Saturday night by putting on a masterful performance against “The Monster of Montmarte” Theirry Paulin (26-22). These two fighters have been circling each other for years, narrowly avoiding each other by ending up in different organizations and now at the twilight of Paulins careers are finally getting the chance to meet face to face. Paulin who was the former Gamma champ has been on a 5 fight losing streak and fans are starting to question whether he should finally hang it up. Most of those wins came by a knockout but he was submitted early on in one of his matches. Bismack Kagonbo carries 28 knockout victories with him and expects to get a 29th off of Theirry come Saturday Night. Fans are already lining up asking Kagonbo who he fights next and the humble Kagonbo continues to remind them that Paulin is still a dangerous fighter but he may make a call out after his post fight victory. Theirry Paulin the French Monster is only 33 but something has to change if he wants to continue to compete at such a high level. His coaches at House of Corpses have shared with me that what he was going through is no longer affecting him and this guy will become champion before all is said and done and that road begins with Kongo. Whether that is wishful thinking or that is something as fight fans we should take seriously we know that both of these guys need a victory and how that happens in this weight class is anyone's guess.
Prediction: Paulin will be patient until Bismack comes in too confident and then Paulin will pull off a shocking head kick victory.

Hopefully you have enjoyed these event previews and look forward to watching the fights Saturday night alongside you and all the Synchronicity fans.  These fights all really can go either way as so many of them are evenly matched. Wishing you all the very best and good luck to the fighters once again!

Supernova XI

Synchronicity's April 25th event, Syn Supernova XI, is Live from Los Angeles at the LA memorial colosseuseum sponsored by My Balls is Hot clothing. This event sees some massive fighters and multiple titles on the line. Fans of the promotion are going to get the opportunity to witness a champion vs champion match-up that sees the two top middleweights in the game go at it for supremacy. Nearly one hundred thousand people will be in attendance to see some of the world's best go at it to see who really is supreme. Five of Synchronicities prized titles are on the line and some of the biggest names in the sport will be competing this Sunday night for what feels like an early birthday present for me! My name is Tycoon Hec and I am honored to provide for you an in-depth look into the fighters and the fights. This night will certainly change the landscape of the MMA world in more ways than one.

Pekka Toivonen vs Edison Atunes
Middleweight Match-up
Champion of Synchronicity vs Champion of Stoners Fight League

Two middleweight champions will go at it at Supernova XI and they hail from two rival organizations: Synchronicity and Stoners Fight League! Pekka “PunchMaster General” Toivonen (32-10) is the holder of the Middleweight championship for Synchronicity and is by all one of the greatest to ever grace the middleweight division. Twenty-Eight of Pekkas wins come by knockout and nine of those in the very first round. Since Syn 678, Pekka has had an on again off again relationship with the middleweight title winning it a total of four times. Currently riding a four fight win streak, he has a ton of momentum moving into this title defense. His opponent won't be a walk in the park. Edison Atunes (23-0) who goes by the nickname Zico, meaning Great Strength, has certainly displayed that in almost every single fight. The Stoners Fight League Middleweight Champion is widely recognized as one of the most vicious strikers on the planet! Regarded as the number 1 pound for pound fighter in his weight class, Atunes has finished 22 of his 23 opponents by knockout. Since Atunes signing to Stoner Fight League in mid July of 2020, he has been crowned not just the champion of SFL but the Champion of all middleweights in mixed martial arts. Zico has faced knockout artists as well as submission artists of high caliber and has left them all in the dust. Black Belts could not pull off a submission victory while Boxing practitioners could not wobble the young superstar. The New York resident who trains out of Crassus was putting in some heavy work on the bags while I had the chance to connect with one of his coaches Brad Soto, Soto had mentioned how Edison is by far the hardest working athlete in the gym and he is there well after everyone else goes home and there before everyone gets there. He spoke about the need Edison has for being the first person to knock out the dangerous Pekka Toivonen. It was not until I had this conversation with Soto that I myself had realized Pekka has never been knocked out either. A fight that is seemingly going to stay on the feet and be an all out slugfest really does not favor one man more than the other. Both are extremely accurate with their strikes and both have a tendency to put away their opponents in violent fashion. At this level of competition it is quite difficult for us to give an edge to one fighter over another and one has to wonder if you really can. Despite them being close in rank, Pekka is now 35 years old and entering the twilight of his career. Suffering multiple losses and taking loads of punches to his head fight fans are speculating that Antunes will put him away with his Zico power. On the other hand, Antunes who is 28 may be looking at this as an easy win but experience is a factor that can not be ignored and one thing about the PunchMasters experience is he usually edges out in striking warfare. Critics of Edison have claimed that Pekka is his first actual test and that all of his previous opponents had no real name to them but were just rising talent while critics of Pekka have claimed he takes too much punishment and is one dimensional. I think we can all safely assume that this fight will be on the feet and someone is going to sleep.

Prediction: Pekkas experience weighs in and catches Edison as he looks to clinch late in the third round.

Kilo Maluga vs Conor The Barbarian
Heavyweight Title

The Number 1 Pound for Pound fighter in the world and Heavyweight Champion of Synchronicity, Kilo “Bloodbath” Maluga (21-6) is not looking to take a rest after his latest knockout win against Sunray Spike where he finished the fight with a slick right hand. Instead he wants to get back in the mix and take on his longtime rival and current 265+ SFL Champion, Conor The Barbarian (25-5). Conor also competed recently, finishing his opponent McNasty when McNasty went in for the clinch. Despite both of these fighters recently winning in their last fight in dominant fashion, both suffered a cut that has worried both their teams and fans hoping that the cuts won't reopen on the 25th of April. Now ranked at Number 1 and Number 3 in the Heavyweight Division, had their first fight when their rankings were in triple digits. In the first match-up Maluga had initiated a clinch prevailing over what would later become his greatest rival, Maluga finished Conor via Knee. In the post fight interview, The Barbarian had said he would be back and was he right! They met again four months later and Conor did not want anything to do with Kilo's clinch game. He broke the clinch and landed a hellacious uppercut sending Kilo to the mat. The fight was soon stopped after a gash had spread just over Kilo’s eye. Several months later they both signed on with Synchronicity and agreed to face each other in a third match which saw both fighters look for that early knockout but it was Conor who landed a slick counter right hand ending the fight in the first round. They finally met for what seemed like the fourth and final time to end it all in what many fans consider the best of the match-ups between these two giants. Fans eagerly awaited another first round match-up but were instead treated to some of the masterful clinchwork that Kilo Maluga brings to the table. Maluga opened up a disastrous cut over the eye of Barbarian and landed a disturbing head kick sending him to the mat. No opponent knows the other better than these two know each other. On any given night it seems that one may be able to put the landing blow on the other and end it completely. In the first fight and fourth fight we saw a dominant clinch performance from Kilo so we are sure to believe Conor and his team have been properly planning on executing a game plan that will defend and end the chance of clinch game occurring. We know that Conor prefers to stand and trade with his high caliber of Muay Thai, he will not allow another head kick to sneak past him this time. Rumors have circulated that both of these guys are not expecting to close this fight with a quick finish but are anticipating a long drawn out war. With both of them having some serious scar tissue it is hard pressed to believe this fight will go past the 3rd round for me. Recently was able to connect with both Kilo and Connor's coaches. The two of them shared how confident and ready their fighters are going into this historic match-up and claim their fighter is the best version of themself. This is my prediction for knockout of the night and the fight I am eagerly awaiting to see go down. It is not too often as a fight fan we get these five time fights but now that we have it we have the pleasure of enjoying it!

Prediction: Conor The Barbarian will shock the world as he steals the heavyweight title from Kilo in an impressive fashion knocking out Kilo Maluga with a counter head kick of his own!

Just Whymer vs Mantak Garuda
Light Heavyweight Title

A rematch for the ages has all of Synchronicity fans anxiously awaiting for the bell to ring for this match-up. Two ferocious fighters in Just Whymer (29-11-3) and Mantak Garuda (22-3) go at it for the light heavyweight title a second time! Their first fight was just a couple months back when Just Whymer shocked the world and put the referee to work stopping the fight. Early in the first round Garuda seemed to be the more dominant fighter landing heavy shots and knocking Whymer down. Things started to take a turn when Whymer landed a clean One Two combo that opened up a cut over Garuda's eye. The cut only worsened from that point on and whymer was able to pour on the pressure. The cutman was working rapidly on that cut in hopes to get it fixed up before they started the second round but the mental damage had been done. Whymer landed a series of strikes that continued to open that cut up and the referee was really looking at stopping the fight. His vision thus impaired saw him eat an overhand right that put him out on his feet. The referee finally jumped in and stopped the fight. Proponents of Mantak claimed Just only took the win that night because of the cut and that he did not deserve to be the champion. Fans of Whymer state he was the more experienced and skilled fighter of the two. Mantak Garuda's most recent outing saw him compete against one dangerous striker and Abu Dhabi champion Al Din. Al landed dozens of strikes but only barely cut his opponent Gaurda open leaving many to speculate if Gaurda had some sort of surgery preventing any additional cuts to transpire. Just Whymer who was a champion for Synchronicity long ago made his return to the top. His grueling climbing of the ladder did not come without disappointments but after he started becoming more aggressive and putting his opponents to sleep it was hard to deny him the second opportunity any longer. The reality is we are dealing with two guys who want the spectacular finish and the light heavyweight title. Mantak will be looking for revenge while Whymer will be looking for another consecutive knockout finish and retaining his gold.

Prediction: Mantak comes away with a highlight reel knockout and puts the strap around his waist once again!

Slammy Neckbreaker vs Henrique Gusmao
Lightweight Title

The newly crowned lightweight champion Slammy Neckbreaker (23-11) looks to begin cementing his legacy with his first title defense against top contender Henrique Gusmao (29-8-1) in a fight that should see the fans on their feet for its entirety. Gusmao, the former lightweight champion, was on a four fight winning streak before losing his belt to Uesugi in a shocking upset. Winning every single round and with just 20 seconds left in the fight, Uesugi went for broke and forced the referee to step in stopping the fight in what otherwise would have been a third successful title defense for Gusmao. Shortly after that defeat we saw Slammy Neckbreaker jump in and snatch the title from Uesugi by utilizing his boxing ability with decent accuracy.  Slammy mixed up his shots going high and going low until the final bell. In their first ever fight both fighters are anticipating the other to stay on the feet and look for accurate shots. Gusmao, who by all accounts is a striking master, looks to bring about many kicks against Neckbreaker forcing him into a kickboxing match where he will aim to get the finish. In connecting with his coaches, Neckbreaker is so well rounded that wherever the fight ends up, he should be able to pull off a finish. They spoke about how his level in BJJ is too dangerous for Gusmao and that it would be a mistake for Gusmao to go to the ground with him so they are fully anticipating a stand-up battle. On the other side of that Gusmao has knocked out 24 of his 29 wins and his coaches believe that he will be the first opponent to put away Neckbreaker via knockout. Gusmao the taller fighter will look to use his height and reach advantage in all forms of striking and will probably only use the clinch on a need to do basis. Neckbreaker will probably end up looking to secure a takedown and employ a log of ground and pound intending to drain the energy from Gusmao. The ideal situation for both of these guys varies quite a bit with Henrique looking to defend any takedown attempt. We have rarely seen Gusmao taken down but we saw it twice with his opponent in Louis CK who took him down once in the clinch and once in striking range. Gusmao later finished the fight via knockout but the question fight fans have to wonder is what does it look like if Neckbreaker gets the takedown on Gusmao? If Neckbreaker doesn't get the fight on the ground how does the fight play out for him in the standup and can he trade five rounds comfortably with arguably one of the best strikers in the game today?

Prediction: Gusmao will outpoint and out strike Neckbreaker playing a predominantly counter striking game capturing gold yet again.

Jorge Cruz Jr. vs Sunray Spike
Heavyweight Match up

Two top ten Heavyweights look to assert their dominance in the Heavyweight world on April 25th as Jorge “The Colossus” Cruz Jr. (26-13) battles the always dangerous Sunray Spike (33-14-1). The 6’8 and 6’5 giants have always held an impressive resume when it came to striking with their opponents. Cruz Jr. has finished 24 of his 26 opponents via knockout while Sunray Spike has finished 28 of his 33 opponents via knockout. With almost a ten year age gap between these two fighters, fans have been throwing their money on the side of Jorge believing Spike to be old for the fight game now and that he will eventually be caught by one of Colossus' dangerous punches. Jorge who has been continuing to train at Randalls Top Team believes that with another exciting finish over a top contender like Sunray Spike, he will be pushed into title contention. Prior to losing to Kilo Maluga, Spike was enjoying a 6 fight win streak, finishing a majority of his opponents in incredible fashion. Jorge will have taken note that Spike was easily controlled in the clinch and may look to employ that tactic in this upcoming match and land ferocious blows to put the fight away. Spike, who is still on the quest for gold for Syn, considers himself to be ever improving and may catch Jorge with a head kick late in the opening rounds. This is no walk in the park for either fighter and will be a top contender for fight of the night. Sunray in his most recent fights in the Syn cage, has not outstruck his opponents but often landed a shot that put them out for the night. He will be banking on his one punch or one kick finishes to do the job against Jorge Cruz Jr. Jorge has a tendency to not only out strike his opponents but also finish them when he lands. Spike will have to be aware of the dangerous levels of accuracy that Jorge holds in his arsenal and be prepared that this younger lion is looking to get his name in the history books by defeating a legend like Sunray. Recently, I had the chance to meet up with Spikes coaches and gym mates over at Heavy Metal while watching him train. I asked about the recent loss against Kilo and they all chimed in saying they have never seen a more motivated Sunray Spike ready to put on a performance of a lifetime. He has punished sparring partners and pushed the pace of his entire team rising to a new level. They believe he thinks he is able to be a champion before all is said and done and that losing to a great fighter like Kilo wasn't that hard of a loss for him to receive. On the other side of the coin everyone was quite shocked to see Jorge knockout the legend that is Rick Piano and believes that he is on a new high and will be in title contention soon as well.

Prediction: Jorge Cruz Jr. will outpoint Sunray and evade his attacks scoring a tko finish late in the third.

Finnish Experiment II vs Akio Kurosaki
Featherweight Title

When Akio Kurosaki (14-7) defends his featherweight title against Finnish Experiment II (27-15) fight fans can be guaranteed of a striking masterclass. Both fighters are recognized as elite strikers in their own right landing with a slight edge of striking prowess to Finnish Experiment. It is rare either one of these guys choose to go to the ground in a match so fight fans can expect this will either be a knockout or a decision victory for one of these two warriors. Since winning the title from one of the greatest featherweights to grace the Syn casein  Manny Puno, pushing him into retirement, Akio has been ready to defend his featherweight belt. The 7th ranked legend killer is aiming to send the 36 year old into retirement for his first title defense just as he did with Puno. The Finnish Experiment is no walk in the park for any fighter with 18 of his 27 wins coming by way of knockout. It is safe to say that Experiment capitalizes on a finish when the opportunity is presented before him. In his last seven matches Experiment has won 6 of those fights only losing via decision to Manny Puno. Critics of Finnish say this is exactly why Akio will dominate him because he was able to do what Experiment was unable to do. Coaches of The Lab, where Finnish trains, have claimed they have never seen a more motivated and hungry version of him. The pace he is working at is relentless and his desire to be the featherweight champion of Syn is really propelling a new culture in the entire gym. Despite Akios recent loss against Golovkin, his fans have noticed a direct shift with him now that he is under new management in Bjorn O’Donnel. The Belgium native is always in regular attendance for his fighter and is often seen training with his fighters in preparation for their fights. This type of management has instilled an almost unshakeable confidence in Akio that has been in regular display since the beginning of their time together. It is a decent match up on all accounts but this fight will prove who is the best synchronicity featherweight once and for all. When comparing these two fighters one important note is that Finnish, in all of his most recent losses, only fought fighters who focused on taking him down while Akio has hardly ever chosen to take an opponent down. Akio is a dangerous puncher and is known for bringing opening cuts on his opponents so hopefully Finnish can keep his hands high and not succumb to a stoppage from a cut.

Prediction: Finnish Experiment takes the title via decision from an all out drag out fight of the night potential!

Badr Al Din vs Bull Mfer
Light Heavyweight Match

The Number one contender matchup for the Light Heavyweight title is minutes before the title will be on the line. Badr Al Din (21-14) hopes to bring his 17th finish to the cage and avenge his loss when he takes on Bull Mfer (24-12). This rematch has excitement written all over it as Al Din was on a finishing frenzy before his most recent fight against Garuda. Knocking out and Submitting his opponents Al Din was beginning to look unstoppable and fans of his willingly chime into let us know he still is. The now 33 year old prize fighter has made some recent adjustments to his fight game in preparation for Bull Mfer and his gym mates are certain we will witness Badr take the Number One contender spot in extraordinary fashion. Bull Mfer who has been in title talk regularly has yet to hold the Synchronicity belt but it is beginning to feel almost inevitable that he will be the champion by the end of the year, provided he gets through the Tasmanian Jesus. Bull Mfer has finished more than half of his opponents via knockout and feels he can be the eighth person to knock out Badr Al Din. Despite the incredible match-up this will be between these two fighters it is also an insane match between two amazing managers who have outstanding winning records. Chris Karter who manages Badr and Ispa Murhapuro who cares for Bull. These two guys know how to get the job done when it comes to having their fighters fight so a lot of pride is on the line on this one. Recent news out of Convicted Fight Club has reported that Badr Al Din is knocking out sparring partners and destroying punching bags. His intensity is something that probably won't be matched when he takes on Bull Mfer. Kilo Maluga, the Synchronicity Heavyweight champion who also trains at Convicted Fight Club stated that, “at the rate Al Din is going he will be knocking out heavyweights!” The punch power is not something we are just learning about. We have been quite aware of Al Din's strength for a while but we see an additional motivating factor, and that is to seek revenge and get the title. In their last matchup we watched a hotly contested even match. Both fighters were headhunters looking for that knockout blow. Perhaps the main significant difference was Bull had a far greater output than his opponent. Bull initiated the clinch game where he mixed it up well and utilized a ton of leg kicks. I imagine this upcoming match we will see both fighters intent on leaving the other one out for the count. The judging was definitely all over the place and truthfully was hard to score. With both of these fighters knowing full well what the other will bring to the table it will be quite interesting to see how this plays out. Whatever the case, we can go in with confidence that this will be a kickboxing matchup all day.

Prediction: Badr Al Din will take this fight by 2nd round knockout.

Dany Crosby vs Demon Monkey
Welterweight Title Match

When the Welterweight title is on the line, folks tune in. Coming in on a four fight win streak, Dany Crosby (24-16-1) has the looks of a new fighter. The former kickboxing fighter holds around 23 knockouts in his mma career stemming primarily from his punch power. His opponent in Demon Monkey (28-18-1) is no slouch himself when it comes to the stand-up game holding 16 wins of his own via knockout and a majority of them coming by way of knockout this guy is certainly a threat to any fighter who wishes to go toe to toe with him. Demon, who has been training at Tosens Home for Lost Boys, has been working diligently on his sparring game with the likes of Pekka Toivonen the middleweight champion of Synchronicity and Dick Caunt the pulse fighting featherweight champion. Rumors are that he has been moving around the gym like a mad man aggressively working on improving his defensive abilities against Crosby. Dany is no doubt going to have his hands full come Sunday night but if his last four fights are anything to go by, we can safely assume he has studied Monkey inside and out and looks to exploit chinks in his armor. Crosby’s team have shared that they do not believe Demon Monkey realizes what he has stepped into when he signed for Synchronicity, that this step up in competition will see him struggle to survive and eventually he will find himself out the doors. Crosby’s coaches have also shared that since his arrival to Synchronicity he has won six of his eight matchups and wont stop until his name is in the Hall of Fame as the goat of welterweights. The now 37 year old is entering into the twilight of his career and with dynamite in his fists looks to go out on his shield or put others on it every time he steps into the cage. Monkey may not be the most fearsome opponent Crosby has faced but he is by all accounts a legitimate threat to the current title holder and believes he has the recipe for disaster come Sunday Night. Occasionally utilizing the kicking game, Monkey has a high output of punches and unfortunately for him receives quite a bit as well. The 36 year old Monkey believes that he does not have to stop Crosby to win the title, all he has to do is outscore him and people will indeed recognize him as a talented and dangerous champion. It certainly is no easy endeavor as Crosby is someone who has been finishing multiple people knocking out guys who have rarely, if ever, been knocked out.

Prediction: Dany Crosby shocks the audience landing some hellacious strikes dropping Monkey in the first round.

Biff Raper vs Pauke Murhapuro
Heavyweight Match-up

Biff Raper (26-11) the 30 year old knockout artist coming in on a two fight win streak hopes to send his opponent Pauke Murhapuro (17-10) back to the b leagues. Pauke, the 28 year old from finland is primarily recognized as a submission specialist who hopes to pull off a second submission win against the always dangerous raper. When looking at their respected careers, Raper has only been submitted once and that was a long long time ago in what appeared to be a lucky submission from a guy who attempted numerous submission attempts. Biff got caught and ended up tapping. Since then, we have not ever seen another opponent submit Raper. Pauke who has been stopped three times in his career via knockout does not seem to be concerned with going against an electrifying puncher as Raper and believes he will be the one with his glove raised at the end of the night despite Rapers skillful ability to land strikes against and finishing his opponents. Many of Pauke’s fans believe that he was robbed in his match against Sunray Spike and believe he is truly on a six fight win streak. Pauke, who graciously accepted the loss, does hope to avenge it one day but is not allowing himself to become too big headed. He believes that his worst performances as a fighter are behind him and will eventually be recognized as a pound for pound great by the end of the year. He was so close to fighting for the title it has to bother him to the point that he wants to finish each opponent he matches up with going forward. Throughout Paukes career he has submitted three blackbelts and one brown belt so critics claiming that Biff’s BJJ game is too strong defensively fail to see that Pauke is a different animal on the ground and has forced people to tap who have never tapped before. Supporters of Raper reminded us that previous black belts were unable to stop him in their submission attempts and Pauke will be no different. So how does this fight actually play out? Biff Raper will look to control the fight on the feet and keep distance if possible. His takedown defense may have been what he has worked on quite a bit in the lead up to this fight but in the event he didn't he will hope to utilize that rigorously. If Biff keeps this fight away from the clinch and on the feet he will surely pull off the needed strikes to finish Pauke. Murhapuro will want to get this fight to the ground at all costs and look to control, whether that be from the clinch position or shooting in for a takedown that will be hsi goal. Biff will wiggle and shrimp his way back to the stand up as soon as he can and Pauke will just need to adapt looking to secure a sub against Biff.

Prediction: Pauke will score a submission in the third round after receiving tons of punches to the body in the first and second round. People will be shocked and fans will be in an uproar but this will be my bet for submission of the night.

Yardbird Knox vs Mister McNasty
Heavyweight Match

Fight fans around the world believe we will see a knockout of the ages when Knox takes on McNasty! Yardbird Knox (16-6) takes on Mister “White Tyson” McNasty (31-15-1) in what will be the first fight on the card this sunday night. In a fight many fight fans believe will not go the distance both fighters have been working on technique and sparring with persistent dedication. Knox was riding a 5 fight win streak before he recently lost to Pauke Murhapuro in what was a surprising submission finish. The blue belt in BJJ has worked tirelessly on his defensive skills in grappling so that this situation does not arise again in the future. His opponent in McNasty is not one who seems to go to the ground either but prefers to knock his opponents out cold on the feet. McNasty, king of the clinch game, will probably aim to force Knox into a situation where he is pressed up against the cage getting pummeled by strikes until he falls to the mat. Mister McNasty is looking to get back in the win column and stay there himself. As of recent, he has suffered two losses that have set him back quite a bit. Both fighters have been finished via knockout twice in their career and both thoroughly believe they are able to knock the other out. Knox will probably  look to use his height and reach advantage being that he is 6’7 going against a guy who is 5’8. The English McNasty will look to get inside range quickly and violently, as his nickname would indicate. Despite the massive height difference, McNasty is accustomed to being the smaller brawler and believes that he will undoubtedly land dynamite body shots dropping the giant that is Knox. Reports from the gym of Knox say that he has been sparring with some of his lightweight friends to get a better feel for his own reach advantage in this upcoming match. Knoxs gym has also shared that his striking defense is looking better than before and may make a run for a boxing fight in the near future as he feels his hands are so much better than most of his opponents. He has been diligently working on his craft and many of his coaches and training partners truly believe Knox will soon be the champion of the heavyweight division. The same hope and excitement is said for McNasty by his coaches who believe the Piano fight was a fluke and his recent outing was simple tactical errors that have since been rectified. The path to victory in this one is really who is going to be the more accurate striker in the clinch and out of the clinch. Both guys have the ability to finish the other and both guys will be swinging with devilish intent but it's the fighter with the better boxing skills that will pull this one off in my opinion.

Prediction: Yard Bird knox takes this one for me. I believe he stuns his opponent McNasty with dozens of strikes and jumps in for the finish.

So there you have it! Supernova XI preview! Do you agree? Do you Disagree? Let me know in the comments below! As always, thank you Chuck for hiring me on to write up a preview for you guys. See you all Sunday night!

You'll have to do better if you want to earn my respect.

SYN 797: Warror vs. Navarro 2 Review

Another solid Syn offering that draw a live gate of 87358 paying customers with a PPV buy rate of 178k.

In the main event we saw grizzled veteran SYN star Paul Warror take out #4 ranked Gideon Navarro for the second time and continue his run towards sixth title shot. Both fighters were clearly respectful of the power the other possessed and took a fairly cautious approach to the fight. When the strikes did fly they were hard and heavy and on this occasion it was a spectacular head kick right after the start of round two that sealed Navarro's fate. The victory keeps Warror right at the top of the division with many believing that one more win like this would earn him the title shot that he is looking for.

In the co-main event, former heavyweight champion and current #9 ranked Iain Tower took a couple more steps up the division with a second round KO over a well rounded Yohan Francis. The win marks Tower's second in a row whilst Francis continues to struggle since arriving at Syn having managed only one win in seven fights.

Fight of the Night honours go to heavyweights Joao Cajo Branca and Bubba Jones who put on a hell of a fight for the crowd. Jones did his best to slow Branca down with leg kicks but was ultimately outclassed in the clinch and KO'd midway through round three.

Submission of the Night goes to middleweight Yoshi Fujiwara who finished Donald Trumpet in the first round by Triangle Choke and KO of the Night goes to former GAMMA heavyweight champion Theirry Paulin who took out KO machine Like Boss in just twenty-three seconds.

Ruslan "Reactor #4" Karelin

First fight under new management, first win at Syn.
Next up, 205lbs. See you there!

Karelin makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Reign misses with the head strike.

Karelin decides to pull guard.
Reign must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Karelin looking for a triangle here. Reign is fighting it but it looks tight! Karelin pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Reign is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Ruslan Karelin!
In his post fight interview, Ruslan Karelin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

WELCOME SYN FANS! My name is Tycoon Hec and this weekend we have some INSANE matchups for you. Below are the write up previews for 804 & 805. Just a little how this works, I pick one additional fight I am seriously interested in watching per fight card and preview that as well as the Main and Co-Main event. Unfortunately for those who plan to watch 805 I wrote for a few other fights because honestly, its so freaking exciting. Good luck to all the fighters out there fighting this weekend and for those reading, let me know if you agree or disagree with my picks by commenting below!

Syn 804

PREVIEW

Slammy Neckbreaker vs Domenico Mazziotti

Lightweight Championship

Two of the top five lightweights go head to head Saturday night as they battle for the Lightweight crown at Syn 804! Slammy Neckbreaker (25-11), the London born knockout artist, defends his title for a third time against the Roman gladiator and former Alpha-1 champion, Domenico Mazziotti (24-7-1). These two fighters push the pace against every opponent they are in there with and will look to do so when they are locked in the cage with one another. Despite Domenico being pretty skilled at putting his opponents to sleep, he may have a difficult time if that is his game plan against Neckbreaker who has never suffered a knockout defeat. Neckbreaker, who rarely enjoys going the distance, has a chin that is made of iron taking damaging punches and kicks and walking through them as if he were the terminator. Fans of Neckbreaker will hope to see him engage aggressively with Domenico otherwise they may be in for a long night watching Domenico counter and combo his way to victory. One of the more interesting stories of this match up is that Neckbreaker will be taking his fifth fight with his new manager against an opponent who is arguably his toughest challenge. On the standup, fight fans will have to recognize that Domenico is on another level with his striking but on the ground it would be Slammy who has the advantage. These differences do not hold a ton of separation from one fighter to another as they are both incredibly talented. What it will all really boil down to is the tactics set forth by the managers. Sparring partners of Mazziotti have shared that they have been helping him hit the weights and work on his clinch game in preparation for Slammy who normally likes to initiate the clinch game and dominate his opponents that way. With Domenico’s significant weight and height advantage, it will prove quite difficult for Slammy to dominate his opponent in the clinch and may prove to be too difficult going toe to toe with his opponent on the feet.

Prediction: I believe we see a new champion and a new #1 Lightweight in the world when Domenico stops Slammy in the fourth round via TKO.

Serhey Rishkinov vs Humors Lacplesis

Welterweight fight

Former Stoner Fight league Welterweight Champion “Beast from the East” Serhey Rishkinov (24-7) makes his Synchronicity debut when he takes on former Alpha-1 Welterweight Champion Humors “Mug Crusher” Lacplesis (31-8-1). I will tell you right now, this is my fight of the night, fight of the weekend prediction! This fight is so insanely interesting on paper and I think once the cage door closes fans will be glued to every moment. Serhey, who defended his SFL title 6 times is coming off of two difficult losses to swallow suffering a knockout loss when he tried to capture the middleweight title and a close loss in his last title defense against Bangin. Since his back to back losses Serhey has yet to take on another fight until now and what an opponent he has in front of him. Humors Lacplesis was the former champion of Alpha-1 defeating most of his opponents apart from Donald Trump. He fell into a nasty triangle in his most recent outing and was forced to tap out despite dominating that entire fight. Humors and his long time manager are no longer working together so he now will be operating under a new manager in Bjorn O’Donnel. Being that this is Humors first fight under his new manager, fight fans will be interested to see if he fights as he always had or will there be some slight adjustments that Bjorn will make in his fight preparation and fight game.  Serhey will want to be careful of the nasty clinch game that Humors regularly employs on his opponent and instead aim to get this fight to the ground. This fight will probably see a lot of back and forth between the two and hopefully will escalate one of these guys back into title contention real soon.

Prediction: Serhey reminds everyone why he was one of the best for a long time when he submits Humors.

Papi Tantor vs Mantak Garuda

Middleweight fight

Is this fight also considered a co-main event or is that just me? Papi Tantor (15-2-1) is the 15th guy in his division and is sensational all over the board. Former Syn champion and holder of 9 knockout victories against tough competition he will be using that as confidence as he takes on one of the most fearsome fighters in the division in “Hands of Shiva” Mantak Garurda (23-4). These two guys are at the top of the division just waiting for a chance to take on Crosby or Toivonen for the title but first have to get through the other. Garuda, the Bwang Jong Sr student, was the fromer Syn champion for a long time until he got dethroned recently. The 31 year old looks to get back to his winning ways when he aims to dismantle the rising Papi Tantor by making him his 18th knockout victim. Tantor vs Garuda has all the makings of fight of the night and you can guarantee that celebrities and athletes around the world will be in attendance if not for this fight alone. This fight is a battle of two seriously talented managers and in my opinion we will see this match up again very soon but next time it will be for the title.

Prediction: Mantak Garuda takes the win via tko

Syn 805

PREVIEW

Dany Crosby vs Pekka Toivonen

Middleweight Championship

The rematch fight fans have been clamoring for is finally upon us. This fight is the reason why mma fans exist. The #3 pound for pound fighter in the world who holds both the Welterweight and Middleweight Titles Dany Crosby (26-16-1) will defend the Middleweight title against the former Middleweight champion Pekka “The Punchmaster General” Toivonen (33-11). It was on the 21st of May when these two first met in what was a highly anticipated bout. In the first moments of the fight, Pekka suffered a nasty cut over his eye. From that moment on we saw a more defensive Pekka as he looked to protect his eye from getting worse. As the round was coming to an end Crosby landed a hellacious uppercut that saw Pekka crash on the mat. The referee was on the edge of stopping the fight but Crosby waved Pekka to step back up. On wobbly legs, Pekka managed to hold on to the end of the round. The significance of Pekka hitting the mat can not be overstated, this was the first time in over 15 fights where he had been knocked down. At the start of the second, Pekkas cornerman did little work on the cut as they were trying to wake him up from the knockdown and help him be more alert. Dany, who was also cut in the first round, seemed to be fully ready going into the second. The bell rang and Crosby ran across the cage looking to finish Pekka. He landed some beautiful punches and finished with an uppercut that once again saw Pekka hit the floor. Waving him back to his feet proved that Dany had no desire to be on the ground with Pekka. Both fighters only landed thirteen punches at the head on one another but it was Crosby's punches that held more power, evidence of that is held by him knocking down Toivonen and cutting him open. The fight was called in the third round as Toivonen could barely see. This fight is largely looked at as one sided and I am not entirely sure why. There is a reason hardcore mma fans have been demanding a rematch and there is a reason why it has been rebooked. Despite Crosby's victory over Toivonen, there seemed to be a massive mixing up of strikes from Toivonen landing body shots and kicks as Crosby focused solely on the punches. Crosby will no doubt come into this fight to solidify himself as the true middleweight champion and prove to everyone that it was no fluke whereas Pekka will look to show the world why he was for a long time considered the best by man in the sport. A big reality for Pekka is that scar tissue continues to get him in trouble. When a cut opens up on him it gushes out and makes him almost fight like a different fighter instead of the Punchmaster General many have come to know and love. Crosby who attempted to clinch up with Pekka last time will probably be looking to do that once again but knowing he has the power to put Pekka on the ground will hold no fear in exchanging strikes with one of the best as he has already shown how lethal he can be. I believe there is a certain excitement Crosby has when he knows he is winning against another fighter and this was shown in his last loss against Navarro. Crosby had dropped Navarro a few times in the first round but coming into the second, he was caught and dropped by Navarro on a counter shot after trying to clinch with him. I bring this up only to share that Crosby can not come into this fight thinking he will win because he has already, that was a different fight and this fight will be completely different. Pekka will most likely be more of a headhunter waiting to counter as Crosby comes in and looks to send Crosby out for good.

Prediction: Pekka takes the title back in a second round counter knockout. A trilogy hopefully awaits the Syn fans in the near future.

Gemellus Axius  vs Harry McQuirre

Lightweight Matchup

Two Lightweight warriors go at it in a battle that will hopefully see one of these two competitors enter the top ten in their division. “The Machine” Gemellus Axius (23-16-2) welcomes former Smash Champion “Goose” Harry McQuirre (25-7) to Syns elite Lightweight division. McQuire, who left Alpha-1 on a three fight win streak is a fan favorite holding 7 fight of the night awards and 3 knockout of the night awards. At only 30 years of age he is looking to once again be recognized as the best lightweight in the world. To get past “The Machine” is in itself a feat considering that this guy is also on a three fight win streak and knocking out his last opponent in 27 seconds of the second round. Axius will be hoping that the recent dip in form from McQuire will hold true when they collide as well so it can be a potentially early night for him but the reality of it all is that McQuire is no walk in the park for any lightweight. With 16 victories coming by way of knockout it is fair to say that McQuire knows how to get the job done in outstanding fashion. These two elite strikers will probably be quick to engage with one another looking to be the first to land and last in every exchange which will make this for me the predicted fight of the night. I think we may also see Axius look to engage in the clinch game and McQuire prefer to keep it at striking distance which would make for a very interesting situation as both guys are talented in the clinch and at striking range. There will be a stronger preference for Axius to get the clinch though and what he will want to watch out for is McQuire landing those explosive shots outside of it. I see this fight going the distance but only after both fighters have been thoroughly exhausted punishing each other.

Prediction: Harry McQuirre gets one step closer to earning his shot at the Syn title.

John C Reilly vs Rodney Alcala

Middleweight Matchup

Between both of these guys there is a load of conviction I have that someone is getting knocked out. John C Reilly (19-4) has 16 of his victories by knockout and his opponent Rodney Alcala (26-14) with 21 of those victories coming by way of knockout. This fight is what the ol Jr Ross would have called, “A real barn burner!” Not entirely sure what that phrase meant but I think we will see dynamic striking on display as both competitors aim to take each other's heads off. Both competitors are making their Syn debut so they will be looking to make that much more of a statement. I think it is fair to say that most fight fans are predicting John C Reilly to get the victory in this one, the long time OFK champion was on a seventeen fight win streak before his last loss and I imagine he plans to make that streak happen once again. Rodney, who is also coming off a loss has fought some top talent in his most recent outings so stepping up against Reilly may prove to be not so intimidating for him.

Prediction: John C Reilly first round knockout.

Nusrat Baigan vs Leeroy Lamalmar

Bantamweight fight

The TWGC champion, Nusrat Baigan (10-8) makes his return to the mma world as he battles the 36 year old Leeroy “The Micro Machine” Lamalmar (5-1). Despite getting into MMA at a late age, Lamalmar has proven to be a dangerous foe for anyone who steps across from him knocking out multiple opponents in the very first round. A brown belt in BJJ, he is not afraid to grapple with the TWGC champion and according to his sparring partners, would gladly relish the opportunity to showcase his grappling skill. Nusrat has been off and on with so many managers throughout his career it is hard to tell whether or not this guy is the fighter we remember him to be. His most recent grappling performances have seen him take the title at 155lbs but that was in November of last year. Now, The grappling star looks to continue to make a full time transition to MMA by securing a victory over Leeroy Lamalmar. It is really hard to see Nusrat take the win on this one. He has lost four of his last five mma fights and is taking on a predator in Leeroy. He will need to get this fight to the ground fast if he is to have any chance at defeating Lamalmar.

Prediction: Lamalmar scores a sensational head kick knockout in the first round.

Inspektor Bee vs Mohammed Kahn

Lightheavyweight fight

For syn 805 one of the biggest fights I can not wait to watch is one of my favorite fighters, Inspektor Bee (18-12) go toe to toe with the rising star “The Pitbull '' Mohammed Kahn (11-2). I consider it funny that Mohammeds nickname is Pitbull and he is from Lebanon given that there has been a ban since the 90s on Pitbulls. Anyways, between these two they share 24 knockouts in their collective 29 victories, They also share 11 knockout of the night awards and both fighters have been stopped in their career. What should this tell fight fans? This fight will have fireworks from start to finish. The stats are there and these two high level strikers will come in with plans to wreck the other. I think the best way for Bee to get the win is to pepper Kahn with strikes all night while avoiding his massive strikes. Counter and cut him open is not a bad strategy to employ against Kahn. On the other hand, I think Kahn could go in there, close the gap and unleash a nasty right hook and end the fight altogether.

Prediction: Khan scores a knockout in the second.
