Do you think you have what it takes to surf the Big Wave? Do you think you really have what it takes to be Tsunami Champion of your division? I don't think you want it and I don't think you really have what it takes. Feel free to try and prove me wrong. Are you the Strike First type, are you the Karate only for defense type, are you the sprawl and brawl type, or are you the hit the ground knockout or tap out king? Does it even matter? Hold your breath and don't drown as this wave pulls you under because at the end of the day it's up to you to sink or swim in your division.

Also you are looking at not only a restricted ID org but a manager restricted org as well. To crack down on all the surges of multi accounts in order for your fighter to join Big Wave MMA your manager must have at least 25 fights unless you are in one of the tournaments they are listed in the forums under Big Wave Tournaments. Those are open for everyone to join. No worries if you are actually new and want to see if you can take on the Big Wave create some fighters and do some QFCs it won't take you long to get to 25 total fights on your manager account and you will have a bit of fight slider knowledge under your belt by that time as well.

If you need a sponsor reach out to Nutritional Shaved Ice. NSI has the tasty treats to give your fighter that much need edge. Not only will they sponsor you but as an added bonus if they are your sponsor and you win they will give you a choice of either their Berry REL 159.6Q or their Shark Ice 159.6Q MB. Also if you receive an "of the Night" award you will be given a freebie of your choice as an added bonus.

This just in come April 30th Hilo will be invaded by a bunch of big men. More than the legion of Samoans we are accustomed to seeing in the beautiful Hawaii that is. Eight giant men will be stepping inside the cages of Hawaii's new upstart MMA Organization called Big Wave MMA. They will be looking to compete in the first round of a tournament. Where other to host such an event here in Hilo full of big men? None other than the Micro Arena. Don't let the name fool you. This place is plenty big enough to house these gigantic warriors. It gets it's name from the small seating capacity. Only a select few will be privy to witness this spectacle and a few of us local media professionals. We don't have much information on these men yet. But we will give you a bit of knowledge we have so far.

Enrico Fermi is from Italy but trains and fights out of London. Like the rest of these giant men he is 25 years old. They say when he was first scouted by the gym he trains at in London they brought him on for his wrestling background as let's face it London is behind the times when it comes to good wrestling. It promised to be a mutually beneficial arrangement for Enrico as they have been in the striking and especially the boxing game from what seems like the beginning of time now. Word has it he has been a quick study in picking up the striking too. They say he has an amateur boxing record of 4-0 all by KO. His opponent in the first round is Snorri Borsteinn.

Snorri Borsteinn is one of the few coming in with a professional MMA record. Coming in 1-0. He is from the beautiful lush green lands of Iceland. Said to have derived from the Vikings that settled there naming it Iceland to confuse their enemies having them exhausted from the climate as they were prepared for harsh cold weather. He fights and trains out of Montreal. This big man showed some serious skills in his first professional and showcased his surprised rounded out talent. He was said to have some amazing Muay Thai skills and he straight up demolished his previous opponent in the clinch cutting him badly with those heavy fists of fury. He also took him down moved around at will in the ground and pounded. Don't let his savage style fool you he is all heart. The late stoppage by the ref in the fight had Snorri screaming at the official for abuse and not protecting his opponent by stopping it sooner.

Bradley Robertson who is also coming in with a 1-0 professional record. He is a pure grappler. This country boy hailing from Memphis Tennessee has earned the nickname Big Wave from the way he is able to topple over his opponents with his numerous arrays of takedowns like a giant wave crashing down on you. Most people think by his looks, and being a country boy that he is a wrestler but he actually is trained in judo which is why hy he has so many angles and tricky ways of takedowns. Once there he puts his brown belt in BJJ to work. He won his first match in mma by snapping his opponent's arm in a kimura. Advice if he has you tap as he has already shown he doesn't mind taking the limb with him. His opponent is scheduled to be Kopam Nos.

Kopam Nos is from Croatia and trains and fights out of Los Angeles. Before coming over to United States 2 years ago he was a pure boxer. He has one of the longest reaches I have seen to date. And that has spelled trouble for his opponents in the boxing world so far. He was 6-0 in the amateur world and 1-0 in the professional boxing world. Then Torcida MMA convinced him to come out and train there and that he would have a bigger future in MMA. They have worked endlessly on his takedown defense in the last 2 years while keeping his boxing razor sharp.

Bulk Bogan is a mountain of a man and a former D1 wrestling champion. He claims to have the biggest arms in the world. You have to be careful against this wrestler or you will find Bulk-A-Mania running wild over you brotha. He has been known to put those big arms to use and knock out a guy or two during his college days. His opponent is scheduled to be Randyisio Tessino.

Randyisio Tessino is from Tokyo Japan but fights and trains out of right here in Hilo. Training and fighting out of here expect the crowd to be on his side. Most guy's his weight from Japan are in Sumo but he is built like a bodybuilder. He has one of the most diverse skill sets among the competitors in this tournament as he has professional level boxing a bit of wrestling knowledge to get a fight to the ground and put his blue belt in BJJ to use.

Wilt Madison is from Texas but trains and fights out of Helsinki. He was recruited for his wrestling and saw the guys in there throwing elbows and knees in the clinch and fell in love and with Muay Thai. He has a professional MMA fight and record of 0-1. He lost by decision but showed some real skill in his wrestling and what he could do on the ground. Love to see some of the Muay Thai he fell in love with put to work. His scheduled opponent is Samuel Adam.

Samuel Adam is from England and fights and trains out of Las Vegas. His fighting style before coming over to train in the United States was very much Dan Hardy but with the versatility of that striking in the form with the power of a Heavyweight. They trained up his wrestling as that is where Dan Hardy fell short as he just couldn't handle the takedowns of the biggest wrestlers. They have done a great job as he is rumored to be hard to takedown. This should be fireworks.

What will happen when this event comes to pass, what more will we learn of these giants as the tournament gets under way, and throughout? I personally can't wait for this to get closer and begin.

Bradley "Big Wave" Robertson (385012)

"Hey fellas! The wave is looking good today! Hope it will be same in the time of the tournament!

I feel good. Really fucking good. My body is in a great condition. I can surf on that wave even now.

Guys, look at my muscle, look at my body and my condition. Nobody can beat me. I'm the best. Don't let me take you down, buddy! I will dominate you. Don't let me! Be careful. Wrestling is my third name. After Wave for sure. Big Wave."

BIG WAVE MMA 1: BIG MAN TOURNAMENT RD1 PREVIEW

The smell of coconut and salt water from the ocean fills the air. You can see the Merrie Monarch Festival beginning in Hilo. In celebration for this annual week long festival you can see Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corporation giving out macadamia nuts to everyone at the Hilo International Airport. You can take a trip by the tsunami museum and among the banyan trees planted by Babe Ruth, Amelia Earhart, and other celebs you can hear a few locals talking about how they going to go Moku Ola or Coconut Island on the 30th to the Micro Arena. You go further down the street and see a local big store called Nutritional Shaved Ice. You go inside and see a poster and pamphlets laid out with that very same destination you heard at the tsunami museum. As your curiosity peaks you open a pamphlet and see:

Come tot he Micro Arena on Coconut Island on the 30th to see an event sponsored by Nutritional Shaved Ice. This event is Big Wave MMA 1: Big Man Tournament Rd1.

First fight on the card is between two 18 year old fighters in the 265 pound division Red Hawk and Michael Lewis 0-1. Red Hawk is a Muay Thai fighter who will be looking to keep it standing and make this a striking battle. Michael Lewis is a former high school state champion wrestler from San Diego, CA. He will be looking to use his wrestling and try to even out his record to a 1-1 by getting the fight to the ground.

Second fight on the card is between 2 fighters in the 25 year old 265 pound tournament. Wilt Madison and Samuel Adam. Wilt is 0-1 and lost a fight on the regional scene where he decided to use his wrestling and set his striking skills aside. Will that be his same game plan on the 30th or will he stand and bang? Samuel will be having his debut he has an amazing kickboxing set from his homeland of England and training in the U.S. on his wrestling to keep the fight where he wants it.

Third fight on the card is between 2 145 pound fighters. At this weight class expect an action packed fight. Diogo Martins is 18 years old from Portugal who moved to Tokyo to train at Gold Samurai's Gym. They say he has a natural traditional Tae-Kwon-Do style full of it's original aerial combat tactics. Gold Samurai has said that they have been working on keeping him on the ground and using that agility and athleticism for his footwork. Will that pay off as he faces Gustav Matti a 25 year old 0-1 fighter. Gustav was on magazines in Finland when he won world's in amateur welterweight boxing at 18. He went pro and went 6-1 after a devastating KO loss at 23 he was approached by Cozad in Hilo to turn into mma. They worked on his wrestling.

Fourth fight on the card is another fight in the 265 pound 25 year old tournament. Bulk Bogan is looking to use his wrestling and run wild on you brother! He spouts that he has the biggest pythons in the game with his 24" biceps. With arms that big his punches are going to hurt and his slams legendary. Randyisio Tessino is one of the most well rounded men in the tournament with boxing skills that rival even the boxing pros, average wrestling, and a blue belt in bjj. This one might very well have the future tournament winner in it.

Fifth fight on the card is between 2 18 year olds making their debut at 205. Celestyn Kluz is a promising young striker from Poland who joined Gold Samurai's Gym in Tokyo to sharpen his striking and transition it to something usable in mma. Orvar Odd is a brawler with that Robbie Lawler style of using his wrestling to keep it standing and come out swinging. Expect this one to be bell to bell fireworks.

Sixth fight on the card is between 2 18 year olds in the 170 pound division. Saito Hajime and Jay Read. Both fighters have similar styles Saito having more of Japanese Karate style and Jay a more Kickboxing England style. Looking forward to seeing who implements their style better as well as watching these two young fighters taking and evolving their styles.

The Co-Main Event is another fight in 265 pound 25 year old tournament. The fight is between Bradley Robertson 1-0 and Kopam Nos. Bradley had recently been quoted touting his wrestling and grappling acumen. He is both a decent wrestler and a brown belt in bjj. He definitely has the skills to be able to submit anyone in this tournament. Kopam has decent wrestling and is the best natural boxer in the tournament. This is about as true a striker versus grappler match as you can get.

The Main Event is the last fight in the first round of this 265 pound 25 year old tournament. Enrico Fermi is a boxer and a wrestler that has adapted what has become a common style amongst wrestlers and that using his wrestling to keep the fight on his feet while using his boxing to dismantle and drop his opponents. Snorri Borsteinn has that same style except he is a Muay Thai style fighter and uses the wrestling for also controlling his opponents in the clinch. This promises to be a slobber knocker until the very end.

You put down the pamphlet and the only question left in your mind is since you are inside the business that is sponsoring the event do you go to the counter and see how to get a ticket for this event or do just pick up some of the tastiest nutritional treat and get some Nutritional Shaved Ice, leave the store, and continue on your regular vacation. What do you choose?

BIG WAVE BIG MAN TOURNAMENT RD1: REVIEW

April is ending and May is about to begin. What a better way to take in this time of change than to take in the sights at Micro Arena in HIlo on Moku Ola or Coconut Island. Let's see the way it faired among the 400 seat arena all 50 press tickets that were given away were used and we had an additional 67 buy a ticket to this stunning event. Bringing the attendance total to 117. Fan happiness with the event 37.57%. So don't be expecting those presser to be talking much about the fights. Total expenses $56k. Total Income 10,625. No worries my friends we plan on losing money probably over the first 10-14 events before we start breaking even. Now all that unfun stuff is out of the way let's hear it from our sponsor Nutritional Shaved Ice.

Nutrtional Shaved Ice: We loved seeing all our sponsored fighters out there doing what they do. As true to our word any of the night award winner gets to choose a free supplement. Any fighter in a fight with a 100% fan approval rating get's to pick a free supplement which there wasn't tonight and any fighter who wins a fight by finish gets a free supplement. So without further delay I will be naming these fighters with the amounts of supplements please get in touch with me on what you would like to have. Enrico Fermi - 3 free supplements, Bradley Robertson - 2 free supplements, Snorri Borsteinn - 1 free supplement, Randyisio Tessino - 1 free supplement and Michael Lewis - 1 free supplement. We are proud to sponsor this event as well as every fighter. You guys put on a much better show than fans in attendance rated. Can't wait for our next sponsored event.

Let's hear it for our sponsor Nutritional Shaved Ice everybody!! We truly appreciate the sponsorship as well. Now every fight will have the results posted but unlike the preview not every fight will be reviewed. For those of you in a fight that is not reviewed nothing personal just means it was decision victory with 85% fan rating or above, wasn't the main or co-main, wasn't a tournament fight, or didn't have a finish. So put that show on, get them finishes, and earn those reviews guys. Lol!!

Michael Lewis versus Red Hawk was the first fight on the card to get the show started. Which was a 265 pound fight between what looked like David vs Goliath with Red Hawk being clearly the MUCH bigger man. It opened up with the much bigger Hawk failing a takedown attempt and the smaller Lewis defending the takedown. The Lewis immediately shoots in for a takedown attempt of his own and the big Hawk bounces off the cage from the attempt and Lewis lands in guard. Then Lewis works on controlling the position for a bit and both fighters start to try and work the cage, but the ref sees it and warns both fighters not to grab the cage. Fans start to boo from the lack of action and WHaaattttt? Lewis the guy on top gets persuaded by the boos of the crowd and stands up out guard giving up his top position. Hawk attempts to clinch and Lewis counters with a takedown attempt into guard. Hawk is looking to stand back up but Lewis uses this to pass into half guard. Hawk is trying to control Lewis and Lewis takes advantage and passes to side control. He has an arm triangle. He switches over and Hawk is out cold. Ref stops the fight with no tap. Perfectly executed arm triangle. Winner by way of Arm Triangle in the very 1st round Michael Lewis!!

Next fight was the first fight of 4 fights of the tournament to appear. It was 265 pound fight between Wilt Madison and Samuel Adam. The bell rings for round 1 and Madison gets the clinch. They tussle for control. Adam lands a couple light shots in the clinch. Madison tries to return one but is blocked. Madison breaks the clinch. Madison pushes Adam against the cage and clinches again. Madison tries to pull guard but falls on his back and Adam is left smiling and walks away. Adam lands a nice uppercut and then a slapping body shot a few moments later. And you guessed it Madison pushes Adam against the cage and clinches again. Adam swarms Madison with a flurry of strikes in the clinch and Madison breaks the clinch avoiding the barrage. And then Madison clinches Adam again. Finally Madison lands a shot and cuts Adam. Finally you can hear some cheers from the crowd. This lights a fire under both big warriors and they start slugging it out in the clinch. Madison starts to not like and pulls guard. Madison reverses the position and gets half guard on top. And the buzzer sounds for the end of round 1. Round 2 kicks off. Adam comes out with something to prove landing a nice right followed a nice jab and avoids the clinch. But have you been watching? Madison says no we will clinch and clinches. This clinch is followed by a volley of missed strikes at this close range. Madison pulls guard again. The ref warns both fighters not to grab the cage. After not long the ref says stand up guys. A left lands for Adam. Now Adam clinches Madison. Adam throws a few more shots in the clinch that are blocked. Madison pulls guard again. After a lul in action the ref stands it up again. And Madison clinches. Announcer says Madison hasn't gone for a single takedown which seems odd given the superior wrestling and bjj. Apparently he had fallen asleep and hasn't noticed all the pull guard takedowns. And some more of the whole Madison clinching and breaks the clinch rinse cycle repeats persues until the end of round 2. And Adam comes out looking like his corner probably told him he might be down 2 rounds now and comes out with a lot of aggression. Adam clinches Madison. Madison with the strikes in the clinch. Madison not liking being the one to get the clinch breaks the clinch just so he can clinch. Finally Madison tries a regular takedown and gets the takedown into guard. First time he has been on top on the ground since the sweep at the end of round 1. The ref claps his hands trying to get the guys to move. You can hear the fans getting restless. One of the announcers actually got up and got a beer and came back. Ref stands the fight up. Adam clinches Madison. A little couple rabbit shots and Madison breaks the clinch. Adam with a couple nice straight rights and clinches again. Madison breaks the clinch and clinches. Your winner by unanimous decision all three judges scoring the fight exactly the same way 29-28 Wilt Madison!!

Next fight was 145 pound fight between Gustav Matti and Diogo Martins. Winner by unanimous decision Gustav Matti!!

Then we had our second of four tournament fights at 265 pounds Randyisio Tessino versus Bulk Bogan. Bell rings and scores a quick trip takedown into side control. Bogan tries to lay pray but Tessino is trying to stay active. Sloppy ground and pound from Bogan oh no no take that back a couple nice ones and Tessino is cut!! Tessino is cut! Bogan clears his nose and lets out a huge wad of snot all over Tessino's shoulder. Bogan just enjoying the position and not doing anything else. Tessino uses the break in action and the snot from his shoulder to slip out the side and bucked Bogan off and he gets Bogan's back. Oh he slips arm under the chin. This could be real trouble for Bogan. Bogan taps. Guess Bogan should have kept that ground and pound up that was working and cut Tessino. Your winner by RNC in the very first round Randyisio Tessino!!

Next fight was a 205 pound fight between Orvar Odd Lodinkinni and Celestyn Kluz. Your winner by unanimous decision Orvar Odd Lodinkinni!!

Next fight was a 170 pound fight between Jay Read and Saito Hajime. Your winner by unanimous decision Jay Read!!

Next is the Co-Main Event of the evening and the 3rd of 4 fights in the 265 pound tournament between Bradley Robertson and Kopam Nos. The bell rings and immediately both fighters fail a takedown attempt but second attempt by Robertson lands a nice trip takedown with that Judo I was telling you guys about into half guard. A couple failed submission attempts by Robertson. Ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage. Robertson lands a thudding shot with some ground and pound and the people in the audience cheer so loud you would think we were at half capacity. Robertson tries for a kimura. Nos is wincing! He's tapping! I give your winner by Kimura in the very first round Bradley Robertson!!

Next is the Main Event of the evening, the last of the fights in the 265 pound tournament, and the fight of the night with highest 98% approval rating between Enrico Fermi versus Snorri Borsteinn. Bell rings and Borsteinn tries to clinch and Fermi counters with a crisp jab. Borsteinn tries to clinch again and Fermi counters with a nice uppercut. Borsteinn is cut! Borsteinn has been cut! Borsteinn clinches. Fermi lands an uppercut and Borsteinn breaks the clinch. Fermi lands a nice combo that knocks Borsteinn down. Fermi waves him back to his feet. Borsteinn looks wobbly. Fermi punishes the body with a nice straight punch. Then lands an uppercut that send Borsteinn crashing to the mat. Fermi motions to the ref to let him up. Fermi lands another uppercut that sends Borsteinn to the mat again but follows him this time with a couple strikes and the ref jumps in to end the fight. Your winner by TKO in the very first round Enrico Fermi!!

BIG WAVE MMA: BIG MAN TOURNAMENT RD2:

We had another event on Coconut Island at Micro Arena. 200 tickets were given to papers, news crews, and some of the local businessmen in Hilo, Hawaii. We sold 167 more tickets and seated 367 fans almost filling this entire 400 seat arena. After bonuses we made a profit of 7,359 in this event. It was scheduled for 3 events but the Co-Main event was cancelled as Wilt Madison didn't make weight. As such Randyisio Tessino will be moving on to the finals as we aren't going to penalize Randyisio for his opponent failing to make weight. Personally this kind of takes away the feel of what will be the finale in my book, but may the best man in the finale as one of them will be crowned the champion and get the big reward.

Olly Holy versus Bastien Harris was a 185 pound fight between the bjj 18 year standout Olly Holy and the Muay Thai 18 year old expert Bastien Harris. It opens up with a clinch and Holy tries to pull guard but fails to do so and Harris counters with an uppercut that misses. Holy pulls guard successfully this time. Holy moves his hand from the left to the right and Harris is distracted by this following the hand and Holy throws a leg up quickly what? Woah he has the triangle! It's deep and he's out cold before the ref could jump in to end it. Your winner by submission via triangle Olly Holy!!

The Main Event is between Enrico Fermi and Bradley Robertson. This is the semi-final match in the 265 pound 25 year old tournament. Lets see what happens! The bell rings as expected Robertson shoots in for a takedown. He's got a leg! Oh Fermi spins and Robertson loses grip of the leg and Fermi avoids the takedown. Robertson fakes with a looping left and ducks in for takedown and gets Fermi's waist. Fermi get's an underhook and throws Robertson off to the side. Fermi connects with a jab and Robertson tries for another takedown and Fermi jumps out of the way. As Robertson passes Fermi from jumping out of the way of the takedown Fermi lands a jab to the body. Fermi ducks down and lands a hook to the body. Robertson felt that as he drops his jaw and lets out a gasp for air. Fermi lands another body shot. After hurting him with a hook to the body it looks like he found a spot he wants to work on. And another body shot that stuns Robertson. His legs are shaking. Fermi rushes in with a flurry of strikes and Robertson moves straight back avoiding the first oh but the second hits, and the third! and the fourth! Robertson crashes down! Fermi jumps on him swinging wildly and the ref runs in to stop the fight to protect Robertson. Your winner by TKO Enrico Fermi!!

Nutritional Shaved Ice owner as well as owner of Big Wave MMA steps into the cage with the microphone. Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you to the two men who will be fighting for the 265 pound belt and $250k in 3 weeks Enrico Fermi! And Randyisio Tessino! Buy your tickets. And KOTN winner is Enrico Fermi message me for your choice of free supplement and SOTN winner Olly Holy message me for your choice of free supplement. Congrats to those who stepped in the cage to fight tonight.

BWMMA 4 is going to be a two fight extravaganza the first of the two fights is going to be between Rikki Robey and Josh Agustov. Rikki is a 25 year old Muay Thai and BJJ fighter. He has had 4 professional Muay Thai fights all with victories and has a purple belt in BJJ to go along with it. Josh is a 25 year old was a stand out college wrestler in Australia given their wrestling scene let's see how it stacks up with the rest of the world and has a blue belt in BJJ to go along with it. Let's see where this fight goes. And who wins. Should be an exciting fight.

The other fight and main event is between 25 year old Thomas Dawson and 25 year old Marcos De Lima. Thomas has it all he has the boxing, wrestling, and BJJ blue belt. He is a very well rounded fighter. Marcos was an Olympic hopeful in wrestling before he hurt his knee and turned to MMA since that he has worked on his striking to go with his wrestling but don't let the lack of BJJ fool you even though he trains in Australia he is a Brazilian native and has a submission victory in MMA on his record. Should be a good fight.

Big Wave MMA 5 Preview:

June 25th will have 4 incredible fights at just a 100 bucks a piece. To see 8 men snap limbs and beat each other senseless. So come on down for ancient coliseum like action.

First up we have Jeffrey Thibodeaux an 18 year old 0-1 fighter at 205 and Enokentiy Klimov an 18 year old 1-0 fighter at 305 square off. Jeffrey came into this sport being the youngest in Louisiana to win a national tae-kwon-do trophy at 15 and won the amateur kickboxing the next year at 16. He was known for his kicks and clinchwork but word is since his loss in MMA he has been hitting pads with gloves to work on his hands as well hard. Enokentiy was Russia's next hopeful in the boxing world and was suppose to be the amateur weapon for them in boxing in the Olympics but upon the Olympics taking a stand on Russia's endorsement on PEDs and wouldn't let anyone in Russia compete under their nations flag in the last Olympics Enokentiy decided to forgo the Olympics if he couldn't fight for mother Russia. His first fight he showed just why he was their boxing hopeful quickly cutting his open on the feet with punches forcing him to be taken down and surviving the rest of the round then opens the cut up more before knocking his opponent out cold on the feet. He's a hard hitting boxer for sure. Expect this fight to be standing striking war.

The second fight of the evening will be between 18 year old Neesum Mo 1-0 and 18 year old Brad Devro making his debute. Neesum is a very tricky fighter in his debute into MMA despite he is one of the most skilled Muay Thai specialists in his age bracket in the world he kept going for takedowns and landing every single one of them. Brad is a kickboxer from Wales and we expect to see some good technical skills coming from him in both kicks and punches given the history Wales has in both boxing and kickboxing.

The Co-Main is between 1-0 18 year old  Jay Read and 18 year old Shamus MacDougal making his debute at 170. Jay has some impressive wrestling that he uses quite well to keep fights both standing and to help utilize his clinch and straight punish opponents with his savage his clinch game. Shamus even at the age of 18 is probably the best wrestler in all of Ireland.  Will be interesting to see if Shamus looks to take down Jay or use his wrestling in the same manner as Jay and that's to keep the fight on the feet.

The Main Event sees 1-0 25 year old Morty Horowitz moving up in weight to fight 0-1 18 year old Diogo Martins. Not a fight I would normally make but they called for each other so I'll give the fighters what they want. Morty as you know can do it all he can strike, he can wrestle, and he can even grapple. All the New York smog has gone to his scalp and took a bit off the top but he's as game as any. Diogo wrestling is constantly getting better to keep the fight on the feet where he wants to be and so is his boxing. He is learning to let his hands go and watch them fly. Should be interesting to see if Morty tries to beat Diogo at his own game and try to outstrike him or use his well rounded skills to take the path of least resistance.

You guys want answers? Buy a ticket!

Sanka Coffee: Feel the rhythm, feel the rhyme, get on up it's MMA time!! I have a special guest with me here today Shawn Harper who is a contestant in a 135 pound tournament for 18 year olds at Big Wave MMA. Welcome Shawn.

Shawn Harper: Yo Sanka big fan. I have been following your shows over various MMA fighters for years.

Sanka Coffee: Thank you Shawn. So the first round is already set for July 16th and you have been matched with your first opponent is that correct?

Shawn Harper: Aww hell yeah. None other than Douche T. McBaggins. This tiny little leprechaun looking mother f*let from Ireland. Looking like he had a wee bit too much fun chasing rainbows looking for his pot o gold.

Sanka Coffee: Woah woah Shawn I don't think you can say that. So what do you know about your opponent?

Shawn Harper: I know he likes his lucky charms.

Sanka Coffee: Seriously Shawn don't make me kick you off my show.

Shawn Harper: Alright alright for you Sanka. He's a bit of a wrestler but it's wrestling in Ireland but like they do I hear he knows how to throw them hands.

Sanka Coffee: I take it from that remark you don't think much of Irish wrestling?

Shawn Harper: I mean come on I'm high school state champion wrestler in the United States one of the three premier wrestling countries in the world. So no I don't. You know most collegiate champions couldn't even win state in high school. I would say I'm probably the best wrestler in the world for my age group if this 18 year old at the gym I train at wasn't there. There is an 18 year old with two Jr Olympic Gold medals and a brown belt in BJJ at this gym and he is kicking my a** on a daily basis. Grant he has been a pro now for 2 years as well but still it's hard thinking you are the absolute best in the world when you are getting absolutely thrashed daily. But that's just going to me all the better.

Sanka Coffee: So how do you see this fight going?

Shawn Harper: That's easy I'm working on my hands but from what I hear this guy is really talented there so for this fight I'm going to use what I know I'm leaps and bounds better than him at and use my wrestling and take him down and then either pound away to a finish or take a submission if one opens up, but without a doubt I win this fight.

Sanka Coffee: And how do you see the tournament going?

Shawn Harper: I see myself winning the entire thing. What do you think? I'm just going to show up looking to lose? I've followed your shows for a while but is this first time you have met a fighter?

Sanka Coffee: I was a fighter and a pushkart champion. Was in a tournament long ago like this one little boy and or I won't let you kiss my lucky egg.

Shawn Harper: That's ok I've seen where you keep I'm good.

Sanka Coffee: Thank you everybody for tuning in. That is all we have time for on today's show.

"Ca$h 💵" Alois Huallpa Rimachi

Tuning into Crazy Horse Media, we have an interview with "Ca$h 💵" Alois Huallpa Rimachi, a competitor in the upcoming 135lb tournament hosted by Big Wave MMA. The first round of matchups have been released and Alois faces Will Ong, one of the more accomplished wrestlers in the tournament. When asked on his thoughts about his draw, Alois had this to say:

"It's annoying man. He's so one dimensional, so I gotta train to beat him at his game which is easy enough to do. But that's all this extra time wasted in future matchups against fighters who don't want to just try and hold me down. I plan on stuffing his takedowns and bouncing his bald head off the canvas like a basketball after hitting him in the face."

When pressed about why he seemed to have so much fire in his response towards Ong, Alois responded in a more measured tone:

"You just have to be revved up from day 1 in a situation like this. We're all young fighters that want to make a name for ourselves.

I don't have a personal issue with Ong, but something is odd. He's got all these extra bands he's flaunting in his public account, and for what exactly? Trust me, I know cash money inside out, but you keep that stuff under wraps away from the Feds, not out in public as an '18' year old who hasn't even fought. What's it for? You don't need that much to train at the most expensive gyms at the world - nevermind the weeb central he actually trains out of. It seems foolish and maybe evidence that something else is going on. Is this evidence of him lining up a bribe? "

Asked about why he emphasised '18' years old earlier in regards to Ong, Alois elaborated:

"Like I said, the guy is dodgy as fuck. Look at his balding head! It's not shaved, he's clearly lost a big portion of his hair. Which 18 year old looks like that? Which 18 year old is a qualified doctor? Ikki needs to check his papers, or maybe that's what those extra bands are for. He's an old fart trying to bribe himself in on an 18 year old tournament. Check the tape, check the tape!"

Crazy Horse Media were unable to view evidence that confirmed Ong's precise age (18 or otherwise), but can confirm he is in fact balding as below. Very odd indeed.

Extacy of Gold (The King is Here Mix)

34b1.jpg

Hilo isn't ready. Hawaii isn't ready. The South Pacific hasn't seen an invasion of this magnitude since Queen Liliuokalani lost her kingdom to American imperials. Big Wave MMA, try to prepare yourselves for the Portuguese Panther, the Iberian Annihilator, the Bristol County Brawler, the Diamond of Gem City...Joao "The Big Wow" Gonsalves. Fighting out of Lionheart Muay Thai, training under the direction of Kru Benjamin Brock. He is the Picasso of the Art of the 8 Limbs, and in a world of confusion and insecurity, there is one thing that is a stone cold, certified guarantee. Otar Arkady will leave the cage looking for the driver of the truck that ran him over.

Arkady, you're not ready for this. Look at you, you look like you smudged mud on your face, you're holding a prop knife you probably got a Halloween Adventure that used to be a Kohl's. And is that a rape whistle and a tank top? Seriously? Do you wear a t-shirt into the pool, too? Your boxing is cute. But Otar, baby, hands, elbows, knees, feet. Joao Gonsalves is the reincarnation of King Sri Saan Pech, in his continuing search for a fair fight.  Unfortunately, Arkady, you are just a warm-up on his way to reclaiming his crown.

Enjoy your free t-shirt.

“I’d like to introduce myself, I’m Jacob Handler… The Future WAVE Lightweight champion, representing the #1 fight team and gym in the nation ‘Nap or Tap’. I have my WAVE debut upcoming facing Pluot Montero. My mentor Matija Maestro and me have been working extensively and scouting this piss poor division and my god you all are in for a treat. Trust me when I say, I’m gonna be a the driving force behind my division and the one who keeps things interesting around here. After I finish Pluot in the first round I will be taking some time off, but I will come back after a few months and you all will wish I didn’t. This organization will be my BITCH, this Lightweight division will be my BITCH. We’re all just a bunch of new guys with something to prove this is something I realize. My case is much different because I’m already A PROBLEM. The team around me, the power and the attributes I was born with there is nobody that will challenge me I will lay WASTE. See you soon WAVE, see you real soon…”

BIG WAVE MMA 5 Review:

The first fight of the evening was Enokentiy Klimov and Jeffrey Thibodeaux. This was a really good fight. First round was back and forth but it ultimately saw Thibodeaux getting the better of the round. Second round was another close round but saw Klimov get the better of the round. And in the third round Klimov came out hot and ready and started applying all kinds of pressure and midway through the round clipped Thibodeaux with a hook that shocked and wobbled him back and clearly didn't realize where he was in the cage as he was stepping back on wobbly legs hits the cage and bounces off it. Klimov catches him with a two punch combination as he bounces off the cage and that sends Thibodeaux to his knees and Klimov clips again with another two piece and the ref jumps in calling no joy and this one is AAALLLL OVVVERRR! Your winner by TKO Enokentiy Klimov!

Second fight on the card was between Neesum Mo and Brad Devro. And straight from the get go it was pretty obvious each guy's game plan for the fight and it's a good thing because it was a short one. Devro tries to clinch and gets caught with a hook. Devro throws a sloppy leg kick and gets countered with a cross that cuts him above the eye. Devro throws a sloppy head kick and gets countered with a shot that lands clean and drops him. He tries to recover as Mo jumps on top. No lands a shot and just like that it's over and good night. Your winner by TKO Neesum Mo!

The Co-Main was Jay Read and Shamus MacDougal. The first round saw Read getting the clinch and just landing shit after after shot. He then breaks the clinch and clinches and lands a couple shots and breaks again to clinch again. Second round Read clinches and trip takedowns MacDougal into half guard. Eventually ref stands it up. Then it's back to the constant clinch couple hits break and reclinch repeat. Third round was clinch strike strike break clinch repeat. Your winner by unanimous decision on all judges score cards 30-24 Jay Read!

Main Event was between Diogo Martins and Morty Horowitz. This fight saw more of the whole clinch strike break clinch that the Co-Main fight did except in this case the one on the receiving end landed a few takedowns. Your winner by unanimous decision all judges scoring the fight exactly the same way 30-26 Diogo Martins!

BIG WAVE MMA 6: Preview

The 4th of July weekend in Hilo is a time you will see tourists traveling checking out Pearl Harbor but also across all the islands you will be catching luaus and pits dug with whole pigs wrapped in banana leaves, buried and smoked to perfection for some of the best Hawaiian BBQ you will ever have in your life. But that's not all that will be happening that weekend you will also be able to go to Paddy O'Malley's Bar on July 2nd to see some fights as Big Wave MMA will be putting on another show. It seems like they are making that place their current home as of late.

The first fight of the evening is a 155 pound fight between Jacob Handler and Pluot Montero. Both of these fighters are 18 years old. Jacob Handler he is 1-0 and among the trend in recent MMA years of wrestler turned striker. Pluot Montero is making his debute and is also a young talented wrestler and has taken the old school approach of wrestler who learns to grapple making the ground their home. Who can impose their wrestling to use their style is the question that begs an answer in this one.

The second fight on the card is a 205 pound fight between Orvar Odd Lodinkinni and Matos Yury. Both of these fighters have made there mark on the Big Wave stage already. Orvar an 18 year old known for his wrestling and boxing combination. Uses the wrestling to keep it standing and his fluid boxing to pick guys apart on the feet. Matos 22 year old known for his kickboxing that drops his opponents and then puts his bjj skills to work to submit his opponents.

The Co-Main event is a 265 pound fight between Kevin Taylor and Lorde Mannion. Kevin is 18 years old 1-0 in MMA and no stranger in the cage of Big Wave with his first round submission victory over Major Payne. Lorde is also 18 years old and 1-0 in MMA but will be making his Big Wave debute. Kevin is well rounded as he has the striking that can match up to just about anyone in the division and BJJ that has shown to be legit and tested already. Lorde is also a mix bag MMA fighter as he is a boxer, wrestler, and BJJ practitioner. But don't go sleeping on him because he is a boxer as he won his first fight by head kick.

The Main Event is between Kalliyan Dith and Olan Zapina at 155 pounds. Both fighters are 25 years old. Kalliyan is a wrestler and Muay Thai fighter from the regional circuit amassing a 5-0 MMA record and making his Big Wave debute. You name it when it comes striking he has won by it knockout, cuts, and making his opponent tap from strikes. Olan is 3-0 in MMA and no stranger to Big Wave by quickly winning his Big Wave fight by cutting his opponent up and also has made an opponent tap from strikes. This is not only the main event but should one of the bloodiest battles of the year between two Muay Thai wizards.
