Conor "The Meat" Butcher

Oh you're damn lucky Potemkin Izmaylov, I was just about to get my second wind when the doctor had to go worrying about "fighter safety" and stop the fight.   Everyone is in trouble now, I feel naked without my belt and I'm stomping out everyone in my way. Id be sure to wash that belt though, Ive nutted on it numerous times, as well as countless women and one donkey(dont ask)

Manco wants a rematch against Ispa.  Unbelievable that anyone would go 100% clinch attempt.  You fooled me, good job.  Now I'm going to whoop your cheesy ass.

Would love to see that matchup again in the future!

Frankie "Gambino" Griggs: BBFC debut in the books and scored a last second KO in the first round. With that performance i'd be upset if I wasn't in the Top 10 by next week. Anyone can get these hands.

Very impressive debut, and check out the latest ranking update ??

"Hell of a fight!  He's a tough son of a bitch.  Caught me early on but just woke me up.  No doubt he will be back again cause you cant keep a good fighter down.  But its a hell of a honor to wear this gold!"

That was a fantastic fight! Congrats on becoming #AndNew!

BBFC 4: Unknown Vs. Murska Review

(I had already started this review so I decided to finish it and post it with the recaps!)

BFFC.gif.10586f3255d435a53b5560450ccecc7

Event Rating: 207.44

Attendance : 6,000/6,000

Diclosed Fighter Pay : 172,502

Notes: This card was filled with great finished from start to finish along with some big upsets!

- Awards -

Fight of the night - James Kirk vs Hunter Broderick (Unanimous-Decision)

Submission of the night - Lukas Stojanov (Triangle Armbar)

TKO/KO of the night - Ryoto Takahashi (KO-Punch)

Fastest Finish: Jack Horvat - KO (Punches) (RD#1-1:11)

- Fight Results + Reviews -

- Co-Main Event -

(135) - #5 Li Xiaodong (5-2) DEF #3 Wesley Pipes (9-2)

How: KO (Punch)

When: RD#2 (4:50)

Record Update: Xiaodong improves (6-2). Pipes falls to (9-3).

Ranking Change: Xiaodong becomes #3. Pipes becomes #6.

Fight Review:

Round 1: Round starts and it was clear Xiadong was wanting to counter Pipes, which he was having some success with early on, until Pipes decided to switch up the pace and scored a nice takedown around the minute mark into the first round, Pipes tried to get off some big shots but Xiadong was doing good at covering up and controlling Pipes and forced the ref to stand them back up, where then Pipes just got another takedown moments after, this time Pipes was able to throw up some sub attempts before the round ended, a close round but the takedowns and late submissions probably gave Pipes the round.

Round 2: Second round starts and Pipes gets a takedown immediately and starts looking for a submission, but Xiadong defends well and stays calm, after both showing some good ground skills the ref decides to stand them up and we saw some of the same from the first round with Xiadong looking to counter, then Pipes got another takedown to which Xiadong was having none of it and escaped as soon as he hit the mat, Xiadong then with some patience, timing and power landed a monster-ish counter uppercut that rocked Pipes hard. Xiadong then set up a left hook perfectly, first faking a body shot to force Pipes to drop his hand then BOOM a huge left hook that made Pipes stiff and falls face-first into the canvas! A big knockout with just 10 seconds left in the second round for Li Xiadong!

- Main Event -

(185) - #8 Ispa Murska (7-6) DEF #1 Manco Unknown (11-3-1)

How: Decision (Unanimous)

When:

Record Update: Murska improves to (8-6). Unknown (11-4-1).

Ranking Change: Murska becomes #3 Ranked Contender. Unknown becomes #4.

Fight Review:

Round 1: Murska gets cut very early into the round then gets the fight into the clinch, Unknown breaks the clinch then Murska clinches up once again and Unknown gets a nice takedown, then the rest of the round consisted of a bunch of submission attempts from Unknown but nothing ending the fight. Manco clearly took the first round.

Round 2: Second round starts and Murska gets the fight into the clinch, and starts landing some small shots from the clinch before Unknown broke the clinch however it was no use as Murska clinches up once again and starts landing some nice strikes once again and we saw this sequence of clinch fighting and breaking the clinch, until around the 3:30 minute mark where Unknown scored a takedown and threw up some submission attempts, made it a close round but Murska's clinch work won him this round.

Round 3: We saw a lot of the same of the second round in the third round, with Murska clearly wanting to be in the clinch and successfully doing so and scoring some nice shots, and Unknown wanting the fight on the ground, which he did drag it to the ground once but the ref stood them up after some stalling, then Murska ended the fight in the clinch. Murska won the last two rounds which won him this fight and makes it 2-0 against Unknown and increased his ranking with this huge win!

We also got the pleasure to see these fights!

In this event, we were fortunate enough to see the rematch of the last Checkmate 170 champion, Potemkin Izmaylov (9-1-1), and the last BFC 170 champion, Conor Butcher (12-1-2) for the 170 title after their first bout ended in a Draw, this time around however we did get a clear victor, and the man who was able to come out on top was Potemkin Izmaylov who showcased his skills from the very first round till the 3rd where he was able to get a doctor stoppage for a nasty cut he caused Butcher, giving him the TKO win along with the BBFC strap around his waist!

In the Co-Main Event for this card, we got to see #2 Ranked lightweight Scooter Bob (10-5)(2-0 in BBFC) put on another fantastic performance against the former BFC Lightweight champ and always feared Akhmed Dudayev (14-3) in which Bob was able to score yet another highlight-reel first-round KO finish earning him not just the respect of the division but also another bonus to go along with it!

In our Main Event for this event, we saw a Heavyweight clash when #5 Anton Gardner (10-6) took #3 Jimmy King (7-1) from the ranks of undefeated and handed him his first loss with a brutal KO late in the first round, that makes 2 big wins against undefeated prospects back to back for Gardner, are we witnessing his prime?!

- BBFC FIGHT NIGHT 8 Spotlight Preview -

Logopit_1612410141216.jpg.6ab71b2c61e68e03a832297b200f5cf5.jpg

In our Co-Main Event, we will get to see the 135 champ (C) Ecce Homo (4-1-1)(1-0 in BBFC) take on the #1 ranked contender Li Xiaodong (6-2)(1-0 in BBFC) in a showdown you don't wanna miss!

Coming off his biggest win and with some nice hardware the Israeli has not lost a single fight since his pro debut, he might just have 6 pro fights under him but he has already accomplished so much in his young career, winning the BBFC strap being the biggest, he did so against former HFC and BFC champ Jack Waller back at BBFC Fight Night 3 where we made a nasty cut on Waller that was the cause for the end of the fight, and rightfully so, that cut was super nasty! Now fresh off that bloody bout he will look to defend his belt against the #1 contender and showcase his dominance once again.

Across from him will be Li Xiaodong who has big shoes to fill, his father, Xu Xiadong is regarded very highly in China and has widely been credited for all of MMA in China, Li grew up following in his father's footsteps, he has fought men who claimed to have supernatural powers and has fought in some underground fight leagues that we are not allowed to talk about, but what we can talk about is his amazing and fully legal pro-MMA career which he has accumulated 6 wins against just 2 losses. He has taken out the likes of Cody Garbrandt, Fryin McRave, and Wesley Pipes. Now Xiaodong will be looking to write his own story in this fight and get that strap wrapped around his waist!

In our Main Event, we will get to see former BBFC Title challenger, former Conquest and Checkmate champion, and #4 contender Manco Unknown "Hit Man" (11-4-1)(0-2-1 in BBFC) vs The striking specialist looking for a big upset #6 Emporio "Smokerinho" Cannabino (6-3-1)(3-0 in KT)(0-1 in BBFC)

#4 Manco Unknown will finally get to see a new face in this bout as he has been in two rematch bouts back to back in his last 2. Before that Manco was defending his Checkmate belt against Kotaro Kikuta where he secured the win with a beautiful armbar submission early in the first round. Fighting for a belt is nothing new to Manco as he has been in 9 title fights in his 16 fight career. Manco holds wins over top BBFC ranked talent such as #7 ranked Bot #1 (Which Manco has defeated twice!), he has shared an amazing trilogy with the current #1 ranked contender Bhishma Chontamenti (Where Manco won the rubber match giving him the 2-1 lead in their matchups!) and he also had a draw with the current champ Winston Todd in their first bout back at the "Checkmate vs. BFC 1" crossover superfight event! Now, Unknown will look to add yet another ranked contender to his list of victims and start to make another run to the title!

Cannabino will have a lot on his plate in this fight no doubt, but it is nothing he hasn't done before, he has fought the current champ Todd in a bout back in 2020, the current #1 contender back in February of this year, has defeated the #7 ranked contender Bot #1 AND took out the former BFC Champion Tanaka Matsuda in a huge matchup that earned him a lot of street cred, so fighting the absolute top talent is nothing new to him! Cannabino also had a successful KT run back in 2020 where he went 3-0 and picked up the Striking Masters title against then-undefeated George Michael Bisping. Cannabino will be looking to prevail big time in this fight and get his name in the top 5 of the always tough middleweight division!

But that's not all we get to see! We also will get to see these amazing matchups!

(135) - #8 Charles Manson (9-6)(0-2 in BBFC) vs Davdio "Bjj" Branko (6-5)(0-0 in BBFC)

(155) - #10 Rebel Smith (10-5)(1-0 in BBFC) vs Hugo Olsen (3-2)(2-0 in BBFC)

(170) - #8 Thomas "The Viking" Hearn (4-2)(1-0 in BBFC) vs Wilhelm "Arm" Bar (6-5)(0-1 in BBFC)

(155) - Paulo "The Beast" Correia (8-3)(0-1 in BBFC) vs Andrew "Bad Intentions" Nichols (6-3)(0-1 in BBFC)

(185) - African King (4-6)(1-0 in BBFC) vs Kotaro Kikuta (6-5)(0-1 in BBFC)

(170) - Bo Garrett  (7-2)(0-1 in BBFC) vs Test Abc (2-1)(1-0 in BBFC)

(265) - Mariano "Fuego" Medrano (4-4)(0-1 in BBFC) vs Jack "Specialist" Holmes (8-11)(1-0 in BBFC)

(185) - Ralo Gracie (5-8)(0-0 in BBFC) vs Jestoni Hawk (3-3)(0-1 in BBFC)
