  2. I think it should be changed to star rating only, no names. For a couple reasons: - No one should ever be able to see what or how often you are sparring. - Star rating is hidden from the public for a reason, this seems to defeat the purpose. The main disadvantage is for those in public gyms or even org gyms. Here's a scenario: I get a fight scheduled against a guy with exceptional MT. I can just join the gym and go through the sessions and see not only if/what/how often he's sparring, but just how exceptional that MT really is. I know there are more factors (experience, physicals, ect) in the star rating, but you get the point. If he's in a public gym or even an org gym, (since I'm fighting him, one can assume my fighter is on the org list as well) he's at a HUGE disadvantage, IMO.

  3. Fully agree, I think it's important to see the stars, but the names is just bad. If it's a private gym then that's one thing(if it's easy to code to distinguish between the two). But yea names in a public gym makes it so you might as well have the sparring stars on the fighter's home page.

  14. Not entirely plausible. The difference is, right now Quintin Jackson can't walk into Jackson's MMAs and see what Jon Jones is doing because they are scheduled to fight. Also, the regulars at the gym (which is what this feature is supposed to be for) WOULD normally know what "Bob's" star rating is and avoid sparring with him if he much lower than them Not everything in this game needs to emulate realism.

  16. If I could actually get the sliders right on the ground I may have more sucess there. I like ground guys but I suck at making them work well, got a fast learning 18 year old now who I have hope for but going to have to really work on improving my sliders to get sucess out of him.

  18. Preston "Bodie" Broadus steps up to the mic: Ariel Helwani: So, the news coming from your camp is that you are the new prodigy ready to make a mark on the tycoon world? Bodie: Look man, Im just ready to smash some fuckers. Ariel: But why would an established fighter like Philip Dale give you a shot, in essence your a no-one with a losable fight coming up. Bodie: Thats true man, but id like to think I come from a decent camp, and lets be honest, Dale has a tendency to fight guys who aint on his level...I mean a wins a win, but whatever floats your boat. Dan Torres? Fuck man... not even the counter problem could win that bitch a fight. Ariel: So Torres is a bitch? Bodie: I slap harder guys than him out the way to get into a fight ffs, less of the stupid questions man. Ariel: Sorry Bodie, didnt mean to be rude but people might see you as another Dan Torres, keen to steal the limelight from more established pro's. Bodie: Your a dick man. Honestly, how some fuck aint knocked you out by now is unbelievable. Ariel: Sorry, sorry, dont hurt me. Bodie: Pfft... Ariel: Anyway back on topic...Dale, can you beat him? Bodie: I think I can, plus I got 50k to back myself up...If he wants to duck the hype difference(even though he fights no hype cans), maybe he will trail that little brown tail of his into the cage for some cold hard cash. I know he comes from a prestigious camp, but fuck, maybe even his manager, the ever game, Turd (Burgular) Ferguson is scared to take this match...theres no such thing as easy money when you gonna a beast in your midst. Ariel: So let me get you right, your sayin, Bodie vs Dale, 50k to the winner? Bodie: You got me all wrong homie, Im saying Il give that mutherfucka 50k if he can beat me....Im willing to beat his ass anytime, anywere for free. Ariel: Well there you have it folks, Preston "Bodie" Broadus is calling out Philip " Can Crusher" Dale. Anywere he wants, anytime, blah blah blah. What you gonna do Phil???

  19. I'd be happy to see the option to cut fighters sooner for a VIP cost but only so you could create a new fighter. I think if you could just pay $10's worth of VIP or whatever it would come to and replace your entire roster from the free agent list then the top ranked guys are going to have a field day when a fellow top manager leaves the game and all of his fighters are up for grabs. It can be hard enough for lowly ranked guys to pick up even slightly talented free agents and this way would make it almost impossible.

  22. I'm not suggesting you're afraid, champ. Just suggesting that it's not in yours, or your fighters best interest to run, before you can jump. Keep training, Jolon runs undercards for up and coming fighters, called Kismet. He'll get you on one of those, if you keep this enthusiasm up.

  23. I'm sure Dale will be making a cameo at the Under 21 World Championships this weekend to support his buddy Phred Nguyen. If any of my fans happen to tap him on the shoulder to ask for an autograph, it will have been the most brutal physical contact inflicted on him this week.

  32. I do not think we should lose the belt. I think it should only decrease as the attributes of Boxing / MT / Wrestling. But only the manager can see this fighter. That would be good for a surprise to the game. BELTS RED could only lose. With the Skill Maintenance and Natural Apititude few would be true Black Belt.

  35. I agree that both fighters are expending energy here, but in reality, performing a submission is relatively low cost on you. Defending against a submission can be rough. Its one of the primary advantages of BJJ in real life. Your opponent is wearing out, while you defend until they expose themself to a vulnerable position. And in real life, if you find even a single moment where someone let's down their guard and isn't actively anticipating the attempt...armbars hurt a lot more than they look like they do. Most submissions are relatively simple to perform and are extremely effective. The hard part for Mike to adjust would be the fact that nobody attempts submission after submission in real life. Even the greatest submission artists out there would never stand a chance if they constantly searched for a tap out. It doesn't take an opponent like Fedor to figure out they should stay back and wait to kick you in the head. I suppose a better example would be Liddell; he has fought some folks with great ground game, but has never had a loss to submission. Okay, I am copping-out with his loss to Horn with the triangle choke as a TKO, but you get the picture... The point is, a good fighter would never fall victim to repeated sub attempts. I guess my long-winded statement could be summed up into: Submissions are fairly easy to perform and are 1-hit killers, but fighters training to recognize thier setup (def grap or BJJ/Wrestling) have a HUGE advantage in avoiding them. The energy expended is minimal to attempt a submission in real life, and if your more aggresive opponent is seeking to use ground and pound, they are expending more energy with failed attacks and submission avoidance.

  36. Well, thread descreption says it all. We got injuries already implemented in a sense that you can't fight for selected days (you can but you will suck). Also, somewhere I've read that those injuries stack up so, for example, if you endure lot of damage to your hands, your KO power goes down (someone confirm this?). Further, Mike has already stated that he is thinking of making injury days also affect your training efficiency. In other words, things will get rough. This situation will probably lead to another old vs. new managers, where those who had trained during injury period getting the upper hand. We can at least use this opportinity to bring new business company(or money sink? cool.gif into game. I know this proposition would need some HUGE amount of programming but, here goes nothing: Rehabilitation clinic options: - diagnose - requiers 1 day[morning session to attend and evening session to see the results] to diagnose % damage sustained from fight ; needs 1 doctor per clinic - physical therapy - Primary asset of clinic, lessens time needed for recovery[injury days] by some %, also repairs damage sustained by some % ; needs doctor to attend classes, would work something like coaches in gyms - surgery - repairs quite of the damage sustained to injured part of the body, requires 1 day recovery time after ; needs doctor of higher degree(more expensive) - swimming pool - lessens time needed for recovery by some % [lower then physical therapy], boosts conditioning and strength[lower then conditioning] by some amount ; doesn't require doctor but needs upkeep - sauna - lessens time needed for recovery by some %(lower then swimming pool), recovers morale by nice amount, good if you lose fight ; requiers upkeep About injuries: Fighter's body is divided into 4 parts: legs, arms, torso and head. Depending on fight and it's outcome parts of the body are injured by some %(arms from blocking knees in clinch or by high amount of strikes dealt, legs suffering from leg kicks etc.etc.). After some time when you accumulate quite bit of % (even recovered by physical therapies), you get permanent defect which can only be recovered by surgery. In other words, physical therapy can get your parts of the body back to 100%, but it doesn't remove accumualted damage that leads to lower ko's and other stuff. This can also lead to differentiation of doctors needed for physical therapies, such that you can hire general one(for lowering recovery time by nice amount and repairing % of all parts by small amount) or specialized one which would more focus on parts of body(still would lower injury days but less then general). Now, who would choose "less prone to injuries" hidden? wheelchair.gif Thoughts? Please don't bash it hard, was just brainstorming last days...

  37. okay, i think that i've got a decent idea for a way to hook new players to the game. or at least give them an early on taste of what the game is about. why not, once their new account is created, have the game randomly generate two random fighters for a one time only "simulation fight". allow the new manager to look over his (or both) fighters skills. then set the sliders, and submit. then receive the results instantly (possibly Play by Play). it would kinda give them an initial idea about how the game will work, what a fight is like, and maybe even some insight into how to create their first few fighters. you might could even sway it in their favor a little to ensure they get a win

  38. Why do these ground sliders have to be absolute? Shouldn't the fighter be able to decide when the right moment is to try & get up from being on the top or bottom of his opponent? I think there should be some "common sense" system implemented there.

  41. Keeping the belts would be very unfair to the other primaries. BJJ already is the hardest primary to scout. Why make it harder just for aesthetic reasons? In real life BJJ belts are as much a sign of respect as ability. (Losing a belt would be very disrespectful to the student) In the game they show your fighter's primary....... Let's allow the belt to do its job please.

  42. Dude Jacky in this game is like Anderson Silva in MMA but you are like Peter Rise so dont insult him! And i think its Boxing because its very limited and fast to train up but at the same time very dominating of course you need good takedown defence but if you have that then its lethal.
