Event Preview: Highland Games 44

Theros Staal (3-3) Vs Shy Boy (1-3) – Heavyweight
Theros Staal started his Highland Games career very well. Back to back first round stoppages over Eric Patcherson and Dixie Normus earned him a shot at a higher level of opponent; Pedro Lazaro. Lazaro, our number 1 contender whom is scheduled to fight for the title tomorrow night, is known for grinding his opponents down over the distance. This wasn’t the case when Staal competed against him. The fight lasted guy two rounds before Pedro knocked Theros out. Staal was also stopped against Thompson in his next contest.
Shy Boy has had a tough start to his career. In his fight fight, Boy was KOed by the best heavyweight outside of Highland Games; San Terra. Since joining Highland Games, Shy Boy has went 1-2. A Unanimous Decision victory over Bernd Muller has kept him employed this far, but a win against Theros Stall could be a major game changer in the future of Shy Boy’s career.
It’s expected that the lose

A Farewell to Phil Mcracken

Fighter profile of Phil Mcracken by Lucky Lefty

"Ben Doveran" Phil Mcracken (168902), former AFL Tokyo and BFT Sydney champion enjoyed a long 11 years fighting both in the ring and cage. He has fought with many rulesets and in multiple weightclasses and has traveled the world to face off against some of the best middleweights on this planet.

Beginning his career later than most, Mcracken made his MMA debut at the age of 25 in Tokyo. After just one year of training and his first win, making his way through public gyms was sometimes a hassle for the young Mcracken as he would often not have certain types of training available. It was also difficult to get used to new sparring partners and coaching teams but nevertheless Mcracken was able to string together a 6 fight winstreak despite all this. It all seemed to be g

The story of NY Fight Nights

Company profile by Bjorn O'Donnel

The story of NY Fight Nights

On the 24th January 2014, after having played the game for about a month, I started a clothing shop with the help of my mentor Senzo. Some of you might remember the store, called Nippon Outfitters. It was a good experience and made me earn some money. We hosted custom skins for some managers, had a few of our own designs and did money laundry also. Nippon Outfitters was my first contact with being a ' business man' in the MMA Tycoon world.

At the beginning of the month September, I got contacted by someone who knew I was interested in owning an org. He told me there was a good opportunity for me. A manager , Morgan Lightning, was looking for someone to take over his org, because he was dealing with some issues and couldn't be online enough to run the org. I contacted him immediately and we discussed the possibility of me taking over the org. He knew I had no experience , but also noticed that I was very motivated and passionate about it. Morgan gave me the green light, and we swapped companies on the 13th of September 2014.

In the beginning it was hard for me. I knew that it would take me a lot of work and time to take good care of NYFN, but still, it wasn't easy. Luckily my mentor, alliance buddies and some befriended managers gave me advice. It was an absolute blessing to have these guys by my side at the early stages. Morgan had started a tournament and he asked me to continue it. The tournament was not going well at all and it gave me a big headache. I browsed the forum, messaged a lot of people etc. to find help, as it had become a very troublesome tournament. In the end, I was able to get it back on the rails and we were able to get a well-deserved tournament champion : Jon Snow .

We had a lot of fighters signed that belonged to inactive managers or even managers who didn't even play the game anymore. I released them a

After an Intense staredown, BJJ White Belt and somewhat experienced boxer, Sanchez Marquez earned the biggest victory of his life.He was able to stop Mark Spence just 10 seconds into round one becoming the new KOTC heavyweight champion of the world.

Spence was cut early on after being battered by a nice combination from Marquez. Spence looked tired immediately after taking the first punch. Punches kept coming, as Spence moved to his left and took a huge body shot and a big right hand square to the chin. Spence looked very wobbly after that punch and reached in for the clinch but Marquez was expecting it and popped Spence with a short knee to the body which dropped him and the referee stepped in and waved it off.

After showing respect to Marquez, Spence said he had
