Smith leaves Young with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Young shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Young's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Smith scores with a nice head shot.
Young moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Young shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Stan Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Young.
Smith throws a low kick but Young avoids it.
Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Young was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith.
Young closes this distance looking for a takedown but Smith circles away.
Smith tried to counter with a leg kick but Young avoided it.
A lazy left from Smith finds it's target.
Young has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Smith finds it's way round the side to connect with Young's head.
