The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been hearing reports that McRobbie has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Betts avoids a punch combination nicely.

A looping hook to the body misses from McRobbie. Betts does a little dance to reset his feet.
McRobbie lands with a right hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McRobbie throws a hook to the side of Betts's head but Betts sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kasey McRobbie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McRobbie throws a series of punches but Betts avoids them all with ease.
McRobbie moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
McRobbie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Betts manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

A punch lands to the side of Betts 's head but he takes it in his stride.
McRobbie scores with a sloppy right hand. Betts should have avoided that one.
Betts ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
McRobbie works the jab nicely.
McRobbie takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Betts ducks right into an uppercut from McRobbie.
McRobbie tries to bum rush Betts with a series of wild strikes but Betts uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A slow jab from McRobbie misses its intended target.

Betts lunges at McRobbie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by McRobbie's hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McRobbie connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Betts's hands.
