Toguchi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Uso defends well and Toguchi ends up having to push Uso into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Toguchi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Uso sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Toguchi somewhat.
Jimmy Uso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD#
Uso shoots in and bounces Toguchi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Uso controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lawrence is looking to clinch.
Lawrence throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Lawrence tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ndembe swivels and escapes.
Ndembe darts in and out, connecting with a jab. #TD#
Lawrence closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ndembe to the mat! Ndembe manages to get full guard.
Ndembe managing to control the position.
Ndembe should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Lawrence content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Ndembe has locked up a guillotine! Ndembe's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Lawrence is holding on here and Ndembe must be using up a lot of energy. Lawrence has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Ndembe gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Larusso tries for a takedown but Virtanen circles away easily
and Virtanen counters with a straight right hand.
Larusso shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Virtanen counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Larusso misses with a two punch combination.
Virtanen connects with a nice looking jab.
Larusso shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Virtanen but Virtanen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Matias Virtanen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Larusso.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Virtanen counters with a nice right hand that sends Larusso toppling to the canvas! Larusso scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Virtanen finish him?!#ROC#Larusso is rocked!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Larusso leaves his chin hanging out and Virtanen seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Larusso crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

A relieved looking Matias Virtanen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |
