Will fails with an attempt to clinch.
Niemi connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Will's hands.
Will throws out a loose jab but Niemi uses good head movement to avoid it.
Will throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Niemi looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Will gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Niemi.
Niemi jabs Will to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Niemi ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Niemi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Will is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Niemi appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Niemi cracks Will with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A lazy left from Niemi finds it's target.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Will looks up at the clock. Bad move! Niemi lands a right hand from hell, dropping Will. Niemi pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aro Niemi!
Aro Niemi decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. |

Siem is looking to clinch but Out is avoiding it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Siem.
Out tries to counter by closing the distance.
Siem closes the distance and clinches up with Out, looking for a takedown. Siem pushes Out against the cage but Out circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Out is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.#TD2#
Out feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Siem is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Out wanted to stand there but Siem had control of the position.
Out chips away with some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Out won't allow Siem to sweep him here.
Siem has a closed guard, preventing Out from standing up.

Out's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Out pushes down on Siem's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Out seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. #SUB2#
Out is working for a submission of some sort.
Siem knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Out on the ground.

Siem is looking for a triangle but Out pushes his legs off easily.

Out not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Out controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Siem has momentary wrist control but Out slips an elbow through the middle.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Out advances to half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Out throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Siem tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Out is in Siem's guard.
Siem pushes Out off and gets back to his feet.
Out has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Out misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
