Ameed shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Khumpai but Khumpai pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Khumpai swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ameed tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Khumpai looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pann Khumpai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ameed on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sloppy strikes from Carides. Those never looked like landing.
Vanperse drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Carides defends it well.

Carides will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Saville screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
