FightGame26
My boy Dalton has sensational+ and his opponent was significantly taller plus I had prediction set to him going nothing but takedowns and our wrestling primary is similar...I just don't get what more I could do to prevent it any pointers? http://mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=969487
XxxtremeT13
Dont forget to factor in physicals. Do you have useless balance....speed? His fighter might have wonderful or higher speed and maybe higher balance. Which would give him a greater success rate if your fighter is useless in those areas. Its. It just about primaries and secondaries. Physicals that are specific to the skill are a great factor too
RegularJohn
On top of that - Takedown Defense is just not the most effective skill in the game. Takedown effectiveness was upped a while ago and from my experience (and from what I read it´s always been like this) you never get to avoid the takedown altogether; you get taken down then you either control or escape from the ground. So on top of TDD you have to train Def. Grappling or Escapes or both.
Lefty
My understanding has always been that all other skills are more important than TD's and TDD. Everything I've witnessed in this game engine leads me to believe this. And although I have had fights where my TDs are getting stuffed from bell to bell, I still only attribute that to good tactics, a fluke of the numbers. FightGame26
I've read a thread saying escapes are broken so I've never even bothered with them how much slower does it take to learn escapes? If it took me 98 sessions to get to sensational takedown d it would take what amount to get escapes up to that level (both skills start at useless)

If it took me 98 sessions to get to sensational takedown d it would take what amount to get escapes up to that level (both skills start at useless) This was recently fixed (within the past 3 weeks or so)...supposedly. Has anybody tested it and tried to measure it since the fix?
Jackking
This was recently fixed (within the past 3 weeks or so)...supposedly. Has anybody tested it and tried to measure it since the fix? Yes. It has increased to the same spd as other secs for new creations and low total skill pt fighters.
HareRumpler
Yes. It has increased to the same spd as other secs for new creations and low total skill pt fighters. Are you simply confirming that this was supposed to have been fixed, or are you saying you've tested and measured it as well and can verify that it is? Jackking
The latter... however the spd was not the same for high skill pt fighters/fighters already at their skill cap.
Rambo
TD def is still super efficient. You need TD Def, balance, and strength. Hiddens like IQ and confidence can impact success/failure depending on how the fight is rolling.

Guest
Just like in real life, a relentless wrestler WILL get the takedown if you cant knock him out or make him scared to shoot. Its just a matter of time otherwise.
Monsieur.Camara
Balance and Yoga training are very important. Rule of thumb: make sure all your physicals are elite or almost elite before fighting.
aylib
Balance and Yoga training are very important. Rule of thumb: make sure all your physicals are elite or almost elite before fighting. I'd definitely advise against that, at least if you want to know your hiddens. Might want to train secondaries first.

Good point, should have worded that better: before fighting for reals 100% test learn speed and hidden ASAP

TJMitchell
What is this 'testing' everyone speaks of? Y'all should experience the rush of the surprise you get after months of training. (this is not advice to be followed)
