Scrapyard: The Beginning is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by Scrapyard: New York on April 17, 2013 at Wild Bob's Bar in New York, USA.

Background

Ahh, the beginning. The dawn of a new day. As the date of the first Scrapyard card draws near, let's take a second to examine the fighters that will help make this historic occasion possible.

In the main event, undefeated prospect and ground n pound specialist Alexader Gorlanov takes on undefeated striker Michael James.

In the co-main event, Apollo Creed takes on MMA newcomer Gegard Moose in what should be an exciting scrap.

Official Fight Card

-[Heavyweight bout]: Glenn Schmitz (0-0) vs. Al Konigshof (0-1)

-[Preview]: We start the show off with a striker-versus-wrestler bout. Both fighters here looking for their first professional victory. Schmitz comes from a boxing background and has dabbled in some grappling as well. This will be his first MMA fight but he's represented by a great manager and trains with a great camp over at PIT Inc. Koninghof comes from a less experienced camp and is fresh off a pretty brutal knockout loss in his debut fight. Can he turn it around and smoke Schmitz?

-[Middleweight bout]: Shikamaru Nara (0-0) vs. Wilson Socrates (0-0)

-[Preview]: In the second tilt of the night, both fighters are making their professional debuts here. Socrates is a Muay Thai style fighter with very little experience elsewhere and Nara is a wrestler that jumped into the Jujitsu classes and wants to try this MMA nonsense out for himself.

-[Heavyweight bout]: Vinko Pintaric (0-0) vs. Evil Deeds (1-0)

-[Preview]: This is an interesting fight; Pintaric technically has the edge in this fight with his Jujitsu experience but the edge may go to Deeds who won his professional debut already and may have the opening fight jitters out of the way.

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Nino Brown (0-2) vs. Mickey Lodi (1-0)

-[Preview]: Nino Brown is making a third attempt at MMA after falling short twice in the regional circuit. Both of his career losses have come via armbar submission in the first round. His opponent, Mickey Lodi, will look to capitalize on this weakness when they meet. Lodi won his sole fight via a nasty kimura on the regional trail.

-[Welterweight bout]: Anthony Ashnault (0-0) vs. Troy Lancaster (1-0)

-[Preview]: This will be a fun fight between two experienced wrestlers that aren't necessarily experienced at anything else yet. Whoever has the better takedown defense will likely dominate this one but that won't decide it all either.

-[Welterweight bout]: Josh Edwards (3-1) vs. Henrik Novakovic (0-0)

-[Preview]: Being among the three most experienced fighters on the card, John Edwards should feel pretty good right now. His style is an awkward one: he uses accurate punches to set up the takedown. From there he peppers opponents with ground n pound while hunting for a submission despite not having any real Jujitsu experience. Catch wrestling is a tricky style in this sport. He may have his match here in Novakovic, a decorated amateur wrestler in his own right. Novakovic is reported to have a blue belt in Jujitsu but due to his lack of fighting experience it's hard to gauge where he is really at.

-[Middleweight bout]: JukeBox Hero (4-2) vs. Alexander Khrepchenko (0-1)

-[Preview]: JukeBox Hero stands as the single most experienced fighter on this opening card. With six professional fights to his credit, this fight against the unproven Alexander Khrepchenko should be a walk in the park. We have seen very little of Alexander, obviously, but from what we have seen he prefers the clinch above all other facets of competition. His takedown defense leaves a bit to be desired and his ground game is obviously lacking.

-[Middleweight bout]: Lorenzo Sulphur (1-0) vs. Syracuseomar Little (1-0)

-[Preview]: Decorated wrestler Lorenzo Sulphur takes on the dangerous Brazilian Jujitsu fighter Syracuseomar Little. Holy god, I am so copy+pasting that name from now on. Can Sulphur overcome Little's Jujitsu background? Who will advance to 2-0 here? Someone has to lose.

[Co-Main Event]

-[Heavyweight bout]: Apollo Creed (3-1) vs. Gegard Moose (0-0)

-[Preview]: Former Blackout heavyweight champion takes on MMA newcomer Gegard Moose in the co-main event. Creed has shown his one game plan again and again: come in with accurate punches and try to take you out with punches. However, he has also shown a high rate of success in the clinch as well. On the ground, however, he is like a fish out of water. His lone defeat came against an accomplished grappler on the ground. Gegard Moose is unknown to us but he holds the edge both in wrestling and in Jujitsu so if his plan is to take Creed down, he could shock the world by submitting the boxer here.

-[A closer look]:

(Apollo Creed)

-[Record]: 3-1 (2 KO)

-[Style]: Boxing

-[Height]: 6'4

-[Weight]: 265 lbs

-[Accolades]: Former Blackout heavyweight champion

(Gegard Moose)

-[Record]: 0-0 (N/A)

-[Style]: N/A

-[Height]: 6'5

-[Weight]: 279 lbs

-[Accolades]: N/A

[Main Event]

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Alexader Gorlanov (2-0) vs. Michael James (1-0)

-[Preview]: Michael James has a very simple game plan here: avoid the wrestling at all costs and hit Gorlanov. That's all it should take for the heavy handed boxer to score a second patented finish. Gorlanov wants none of the standup, however, and will be pushing for the takedown immediately. Once he gets guys on the ground, he quickly establishes a mount and begins teeing off with the same ground n pound that has finished two opponents already. With the rumors circulating that Gorlanov is quickly learning a Muay Thai game as well, this could be one scary prospect to watch in the future.

-[A closer look]:

( Alexader Gorlanov)

-[Record]: 2-0 (2 KO)

-[Style]: Ground n Pound

-[Height]: 6'7

-[Weight]: 221.5 lbs

-[Accolades]: N/A

(Michael James)

-[Record]: 1-0 (1 KO)

-[Style]: Boxing

-[Height]: 6'4

-[Weight]: 210 lbs

-[Accolades]: N/A

Pintaric was glad to be part of Scrapyard's first event and got him a nice win too

In the main event, undefeated prospect and ground n pound specialist Alexader Gorlanov takes on undefeated striker Michael James.

In the co-main event, Apollo Creed takes on MMA newcomer Gegard Moose in what should be an exciting scrap.

Official Fight Card

-[Heavyweight bout]: Glenn Schmitz vs. Al Konigshof

-[Results]: Koningshof got the takedowns and set himself to work with the ground n pound. He had tho thwart the submission attempts of Schmitz but in the, Konigshof scored enough points to steal each round comfortably. Al Konigshof def. Glenn Schmitz via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

-[Middleweight bout]: Shikamaru Nara vs. Wilson Socrates

-[Results]: Despite a slight ground offensive in the second round by Nara, Socrates dominated this fight with his various kicking techniques. Socrates tried several knees and elbows in the clinch but nothing landed against the cage. Nara attempted a semi-obscene amount of takedowns in the clinch but only landed the one. Wilson Socrates def. Shikamaru Nara via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

- [Heavyweight bout]: Vinko Pintaric vs. Evil Deeds

-[Results]: Pintaric landed quick and he landed hard; while deeds attempted to drag the fight to the ground, Pintaric was landing with straight punches to the head and body. After dropping Deeds twice, Pintaric finally knocked him out cold with a brutal uppercut. Vinko Pintaric def. Evil Deeds via KO (Punch) at 0:43 of round 1.

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Nino Brown vs. Mickey Lodi

-[Results]: Brown got the takedowns, went to town with ground n pound, and finally earned his first professional victory in brutal fashion. Nino Brown def. Mickey Lodi via TKO (Strikes) at 4:55 of round 1.

-[Welterweight bout]: Anthony Ashnault vs. Troy Lancaster

-[Results]: Lancaster took Ashnault down almost at will in both rounds of this fight. He struggled to land effective ground n pound but out of the two blows that he landed, one of them started the process of finishing Ashnault. I guess those few effective strikes were VERY effective. Troy Lancaster def. Anthony Ashnault via TKO (Strikes) at 0:44 of round 2.

-[Welterweight bout]: Josh Edwards vs. Henrik Novakovic

-[Results]: After being dominated in the first round, Edwards kept his cool and came back strong in the second. After rocking Novakovic in the second round, he finished him with a flurry of accurate punches in the third. Josh Edwards def. Henrik Novakovic via TKO (Strikes) at 1:56 of round 3.

-[Middleweight bout]: JukeBox Hero vs. Alexander Khrepchenko

-[Results]: Despite his tremendous experience advantage, Hero seemed a tad bit lost against Khrepchenko who weathered the storm and kept landing with the fight winning leg kicks. Alexander Khrepchenko def. JukeBox Hero via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

-[Middleweight bout]: Lorenzo Sulphur vs. Syracuseomar Little

-[Results]: Sulphur got a takedown and went to work with ground n pound. Little fired back with multiple consecutive submission attempts but he couldn't land one and found himself on the wrong end of too many shots, forcing the referee to step in to rescue him. Lorenzo Sulphur def. Syracuseomar Little via TKO (Strikes) at 1:37 of round 1.

[Co-Main Event]

-[Heavyweight bout]: Apollo Creed vs. Gegard Moose

-[Results]: Gegard Moose got an immediate takedown off the bell and set into Creed with brutal ground n pound a la Cain Velasquez versus Bigfoot Silva, cutting him up and forcing the doctors to halt the bout. Gegard Moose def. Apollo Creed via TKO (Doctor Stoppage) at 0:58 of round 1.

[Main Event]

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Alexader Gorlanov vs. Michael James

-[Results]: In the much anticipated main event of this card, Gorlanov took a page out of Gegard Moose's book, landing an immediate takedown and digging in with ground n pound. The elbows of Gorlanov put James away quickly, advancing Gorlanov to a beautiful 3-0. Alexader Gorlanov def. Michael James via TKO (Strikes) at 2:57 of round 1.

Scrapyard - Todd vs Kingston is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by Scapyard: New York on April 24, 2013 at Wild Bob's Bar in New York, USA.

Background

After the rampant success of the auspicious opening event, the fans began to anticipate when Scrapyard Fights would return to New York for another demonstration. With the bar set higher than ever, Scrapyard Fights has constructed a new fight card complete with exciting new faces and a few familiar ones as well to bring the show to a new pinnacle.

A special note of gratitude must be shared to the event sponsor and top quality nutrition aficionado known as Crazy Cow Co. Their top quality product is sold out at the time of this writing so my word of recommendation would be to pay close attention and order your product once they hit the shelves again.

Their website is: http://mmatycoon.com/nutritionpublic.php?ncid=2232

And I would be negligent in my duties as a promoter were I to forget to mention their forum link: http://www.mmatycoon...showtopic=34630

Official Fight Card

Note: To recognize the growing list of active fighters, I have begun to mention two records by each fighter's name. The first score is their overall professional record. The second score is their Scrapyard record. Most of the fighters on this card did not debut on the opening card but a few did so I felt that it was pertinent to give credit where such a thing is due.

-[Heavyweight bout]: Ron Collin (4-4) (N/A) versus Doctor Mundo (0-1) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Ron Collin is a boxer that mixes it up by shooting for takedowns. From top control he lands with ground n pound to smash foes. Doctor Mundo is a boxer with a blue belt in Jujitsu and some wrestling mixed in. In his debut fight, Mundo got controlled by a superior wrestler. When Mundo landed, he hurt his opponent, but he was unable to connect enough to end the fight.

-[Middleweight bout]: Trenton Clements (3-3) (N/A) versus Dastan Drake (0-0) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Trenton Clements is a freestyle fighter that utilizes a combination of punches, kicks, and takedowns to out point opponents. Dastan Drake is a high level wrestler with a vast experience in Brazilian Jujitsu who is making his professional debut here.

-[Welterweight bout ]: Duke Nukem (0-0) (N/A) versus CJ Stenner (2-0) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Nukem is a grappler that has experience in both wrestling and Jujitsu who is making his professional debut. CJ Stenner is a clinch fighter that utilizes brutal elbows and knees to wreck opponents.

-[Middleweight bout]: Mijatovic Dusan (1-2) (N/A) versus Gerd Stenner (2-0) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Both Mijatovic Dusan and Gerd Stenner are pure Jujitsu fighters that rely on their submissions to beat opponents. Neither is really much good anywhere else so it will be interesting to see who can get the upper hand on the ground.

-[Welterweight bout]: Garry Cancov a (3-4) (N/A) versus Gleison Nibar (5-0) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Gleison Nibar makes his long awaited Scrapyard debut after an amazing run in the regional circuit. He started his career in the QFC 152 Welterweight Tournament where he took home the championship by knocking our or submitting every opponent that he faced. He enters this organization with a tremendous amount of hype behind him. Garry Cancova would love to shock the MMA world by catching Nibar and beating him at his own game. Cancova is a kickboxer that also has a limited array of submissions at his disposal as well.

-[Heavyweight bout]: Al Konigshof (1-1) (1-0) versus Kaz Inad (3-4) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Al Konigshof is a wrestler that utilizes ground n pound against opponents. He last fought at the promotion's debut event where he defeated Glenn Schmitz with such a style. Kaz Inad is a kickboxer that is talented in the clinch and on the ground as well. Against various opponents, Inad uses various styles and approaches in an attempt to defeat them. To beat him, you have to overwhelm him because if you leave him to his own wits, he will strike with everything he has.

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Noah Todd (0-1) (N/A) versus Eddie Kingston (2-1) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Noah Todd is a well rounded fighter that didn't get to his his class. In his only professional fight, he was overwhelmed in the regional light-heavyweight tournament. Eddie Kingston is a great boxer who throws a tremendous volume of punch combinations on foes.

-[Heavyweight bout]: Jaquan Williams (2-0) (N/A) versus Vinko Pintaric (1-0) (1-0)

-[Preview]: This will be a fun fight to see who can assert themselves first. Williams is a ground n pound specialist that uses his wrestling to control opponents and smash them. Vinko is a wrestler by trade but in his lone fight he beat the living hell out of his opponent with his limited boxing arsenal.

(Jaquan Williams)

-[Record]: 2-0 (2 KO)

-[Style]: Ground n Pound

-[Height]: 6'4

-[Weight]: 284 lbs

(Vinko Pintaric)

-[Record]: 1-0 (1 KO)

-[Style]: Boxing, wrestling

-[Height]: 6'7

-[Weight]: 265 lbs

-[Heavyweight bout]: Kelo Bowser (2-1) (N/A) versus Gegard Moose (1-0) (1-0)

-[Preview]: Kelo Bowser has shown a few characteristics in his short MMA career: he has a ton of heart, has great submissions off of his back, but somewhat lacks in takedown defense. Perhaps he's willing to let opponents take him down so that he can score a submission over them. That strategy may be flawed against The Beginning alum Gegard Moose. In his last performance, Moose stopped Apollo Creed in the first round with brutal ground n pound that forced the doctor to stop the match.

-[A closer look]:

(Kelo Bowser)

-[Record]: 2-1 (2 SUB)

-[Style]: Brazilian Jujitsu

-[Height]: 6'5

-[Weight]: 270 lbs

(Gegard Moose)

-[Record]: 1-0 (1 KO)

-[Style]: Ground n pound

-[Height]: 6'5

-[Weight]: 279 lbs

I feel mundo gonna take another L :suicide_anim:

That's a bad feeling. One of my fighters is involved in a tournament and not only are his combat hiddens terrible but his learning speed is crap. He has lost both of his fights and will likely lose his next two (or three? I hope to god only two) tournament fights before I shoot him in the head and leave him behind a dumpster in the Bahamas.

Nice writing Brunno, didn't even realize we already had a smack talk topic. But yeah a lot has changed since this topic has been opened, we have new ownership and the organization name has been changed to Dominance. /OFF topic

http://s11.postimg.org/8srpzlgyb/profiili.png

Sami Assasi steps up to the podium after Novaks statement

Tonights event was a success and we had some great matchups and also has been a good day signing wise.

I'm pretty sure we're all still pretty shaken up after that brutal main event. Dawn Keebals landed one of the most brutal punches I've ever seen. Now he's our first LHW champion ever and there are some tough challenges waiting for him and some potential beasts, like Milton Blahyi who opened up tonights card with his huge debut in Dominance and he looks to be a huge challenge to anyone he faces.

Only two of tonights matches went to a decision which confirms that Dominance is one of the most exciting organizations in the world and we are only getting better.

Our Heavyweight division is also vastly improved, tonight we had a lot of good heavyweight fights and some strong contenders. One of the most impressing ones was of course Drago Novak who made his case for a title shot tonight. I'm giving him the match he wants against the undefeated, King Schultz. I believe this will be a great matchup for our organization..

We'll also soon crown the first ever heavyweight champion in the organizations history, but who will fight this new champion? Our new signing Marcus Avery who I believe is one of the best prospects in the world. He is a reigning champion of The Immortals Playground, now he has come over to Dominance to showcase his talents. He has 4 fights and 4 wins in his career all ending in the first round.

So there's a lot of exciting stuff to look forward to.

This past week Dominance has made huge signing which will change the landscape of the organization.

First up:

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/16/16w22.jpg

Sheng Chung Li (8-0)

Maybe one of the best prospects of the world Sheng Chung Li has signed with Dominance. The winner of the Holmgang middleweight tournament has yet to taste defeat, racking up impressive 6 T(KO)s he's a force to be reckoned with. He is the former Holmgang MW champion and now he has come to Dominance to showcase his skills. He is managed by one of the best managers in the came and will be challenging for the Dominance middleweight title soon

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w41.jpg

Dennins "Jack" Daniels (7-0)

Dennins "Jack" Daniels is mostly known as an amazing grappler, but in his last few fights he has shown improved standup skills knocking out both of his opponents. One of the fastest rising prospects in the world he left the organization of The Immortals Playground as the welterweight champion and is know coming to Dominance with only one intention in mind, winning the welterweight championship and eventually being one of the best in the world. With an amazing skillset and a veteran manager, is there anyone who can stop him?

"The Dragon" Drago Novak: OK, I get my fight against King Schultz. He is great fighter. It will tough fight and it will be great win for me. But can someone explain to me how a man coming off of a loss can get a title fight. And this man has also never even fought in this org before, and this man has fought no one of consequence anyway. This "man" [Drago makes quote marks in the air], Game Time Jones is a joke. He doesn't deserve a title shot... I will destroy him... Title shot!?! Never even fought in this promotion... shameful!

His opponent, you ask? Another shameful display on the part of the organization. Exquisitely Evil.... this so called fighter has only two professional fights to his name. Two fights!?! and not one of them was in this Organization... It is blatantly criminal! I have beaten quality opponents. My opponent King Schultz, has fought all of his fights in this promotion... do we get title shot? NO! Why is that? It's OK... I am officially putting both you two "Fighters" [Drago again making quote marks in the air] on notice. If I win my next fight, then I am coming to whip your asses. I don't even care which one... preferably the one with the title so I can take it from you and put it around the waist of someone worthy of it. I AM fighting you... I don't care if I have to jump you in the parking lot and whip your ass with my belt. Either the organization gives me the shot and I get paid, or I take justice into my own hands... Shameful! [Drago turns and spits on the ground]

Avery has signed here? This is good news also... We have unfinished business. We fought as amateurs and our fight ended as a no contest because of an illegal kick... A fight broke out in the crowd and it got messy... So we need to get that sorted... give him a good fight in this org and then he can fight me title or no... we settle this...

Mr. Assasi... Are you listening to me?

Marcus 'The Immortal' Avery

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w20.jpg

Press conference held by Steel Camp in Montreal, with current Hall of Immortals World Champ, 'The Immortal' Marcus Avery.

In attendance are his trainers Taco Bueno and Rory Lyons.

Lyons: A number of you guys from the press have been asking when Marcus is gonna debut in Dominance. Well, Marcus is ready, he will fight any of the top guys, we really don't see anyone on the roster that will force us to amend his training programme.

Reporter: As an undefeated champion there was talk of Marcus getting a title shot?

Lyons: There was, but we don't see any harm in a few guys getting the opportunity to one day tell their kids they held the title. Marcus is ready to fight, not a warm up fight, call it what you want. Novak is fighting Schultz, two good fighters, better than the two guys contesting the title.

Bueno: Marcus could fight those two bums at the same time, so we get more kudos beating the shit out of Novak or Schultz. Though he beats those two one after the other, Im telling you Avery is the future, the best we have seen in our gym, period.

Lyons: Marcus has only just started sparring, he is incredible, he is 4-0 and can do the lot.

Bueno: Gonna rule the world baby.

Reporter: High praise indeed, Marcus, Assasi called you one of the best prospects in the world and both Rory and Taco speak highly of you. Your 4-0 and shown a variety of skills, how would you describe your fighting style?

Marcus: It doesn't matter, I can dictate where the fight takes place, clinch war, mix it up at range or take it to the ground. Depends on the opponent, I will take on any of the these guys on, the BJJ guys can take me down, and the strikers I will take down, doesn't matter. No one would fight me in the Hall of Immortals London, guys turned down title fights, then the org owner got locked up for tax evasion. I just hope the guys in this org will accept their fate, fight me, and do their best, a lot of guys just figure they cant win and wont take the fight.

Reporter: Novak has indicated there is unfinished business with you, a illegal kick in an amateur fight?

Marcus: Ha, yeh, we did fight in the amateurs, I dropped him with a right hand, and against the cage he was standing when I kicked him, and they claimed he had a hand down, I didn't see the hand, and he claimed he couldn't continue. Fights broke out in the crowd, his old man got knocked out, and my brother got his jaw broke when he got hit by a chair. Novak isn't a bad fighter, he can make good money, have a good career, buy himself a nice little house, get himself an average looking chick, and have two average looking kids, who achieve what normal people achieve. The dude is realistic, fighting me will get him closer to mediocrity, and when he is retired he can tell all the people in his village how he once shared the cage with Marcus Avery. For someone like Novak, he will have done well.

Reporter: What do you make of the title fight?

Marcus: Yeh well Novak has a point, it would be better if he and Schultz were fighting for the title, those two guys actually devalue the title, Novak says one of them is coming off a loss? Thats crazy, Novak is ordinary, sure, but credit where credit is due, he and Schultz are better fighters.

Reporter: So whats next for you?

Marcus: I want Mr Assasi to get me a fight, thats it really.

Reporter: Taco, just how far can Marcus go?

Taco: Right now his potential is immense, he can control the action anywhere but he is still young, and we think beating Novak or Schultz convincingly will tell us a lot more, and he should beat them and comprehensively. Assasi has signed a beast, Marcus 'The Immortal' Avery is the real deal.
