TFC 5: Hungus -vs- Vargas (Preview)

Throwdown FC has opened up new doors for TFC 5 this weekend at the Underground in Helsinki and they are doing it with a bang! Karl Hungus and Enrico Vargas are battling it out to see who will be fighting for the "Welterweight Title" in their next fight. This is most likely something for the record books, but watch out though, as Johnny Avalon and Randy Couture may want to have something to say about which fight will leave the longest lasting memories here.

170lbs. Karl Hungus (5-2-0) -vs- Enrico Vargas (5-6-0)

Karl Hungus is coming in off of a very good 1st round submission victory at his last fight over at Genesis Fight Org.

He is the kind of guy that you really enjoy watching since he really uses his ground game quite well. He likes to throw strikes in the mix softening his opponent up before finishing them with a submission. Enrico Vargas is also coming in off of an amazing display of GNP in his last fight at HFC Fight Org. winning by TKO strikes in the 3rd round. He really was very accurate with his strikes and just smashed his opponents face in. These two guys are going to put on one hell of a display of true warriors that you won't want to miss!

265lbs. Johnny Avalon (2-0-0) -vs- Randy Couture (5-3-0)

The A-Train Johnny Avalon is coming into this fight having won his last fight with a tramatic 1st round KO slam. He has started his career off with a very good start having finished both of his fight via KO in under 1:30 total. Winning this fight would prove to the world and everyone in the Heavyweight class that he means buisness. Randy Couture is coming in having lost his last two fights via KO at the HFC Fight Org. He is wanting to prove that he deserves to be here and that he is still the real deal. Randy Couture is one hell of a good ground fighter with 4 of his 5 wins coming by submission. You won't want to turn your head, go to concessions, or go to take a piss because you just might miss what could be the best fight of the night.

205lbs. Jon Wendigo (3-2-0) -vs- Stelian Zeklos (2-0-0)

Jon Wendigo is coming into this fight having lost to top flight fighter Janis Piternieks who is going to be fighting for the Light Heavyweight Title soon. He wasn't finished in this fight and took it to a decision and proved that he has the heart to be in this sport. He has won a fight by KO, Submission, and Decision so he can win anyway it takes. Stelian Zeklos on the other hand is coming into this fight off of a decision victory, starting his career off in a great way. Stelian Zeklos has very good stand up, and very accurate. He also has the wrestling and BJJ backround to back it all up. He definitely a young fighter that everyone needs to have on their watch radar. He has produced some very entaining fights to watch!

205lbs. Thane Ostergaard (7-3-0) -vs- Cthulhu Fhtagn (11-4-1)

Thane Ostergaard is coming into this fight with new management after having lost his last 3 fights. Before the losses he was on a complete tear having won his first 7 fights. His management just wasn't happy with him and decided to let him go. He found new management and is looking to get back on track and prove to the old management that he still has what it takes to be here, and that they made a mistake by letting him go. Cthulhu Fhtagn is looking to earn his 3rd win in a row here, and move up the rankings in the Light Heavyweight division to earn himself an eventual title shot. He has proven he can win a fight any way he has to, and will do anything to do it.

155lbs. Lukasz Rej (2-0-0) -vs- Jarno Laasala (1-1-0)

Lukasz Rej is entering this fight having won his last fight against the long time verteran Gonzo Bunga by decision. He is earning himself a name in MMA quickly and wanting to keep building the hype around himself with a win here. Lukasz Rej in his 1st fight took on a 1st time fighter and earned a submission victory that ended a career early for a man by the name of Lil Wyte. Jarno Laasala is coming in having lost his last fight just a minute before the end of a fight he was in control of the whole time. He made one mistake that landed him in a submission, and he was clearly devastated after that. He instatly hit the gym to work on his conditioning and defensive grappling looking to improve himself for his next fight which is here now. This should be very interesting to watch, who will win? You'll just have to wait and see!

Also on the card

205lbs. Cyrus Inko (2-1-0) -vs- Ronaldo Suoza (1-2-0)

265lbs. Perkele Saatana (5-8-0) -vs- Matti Koskela (9-16-0)

205lbs. Josh Bolda (1-1-0) -vs- Brock Shamrock (1-0-0)

155lbs. Tamong Kodo (0-0-0) -vs- Mja Mjo (3-1-0)

265lbs. Garlin Liddle (2-4-0) -vs- Joran van der Sloot (0-0-0)

TFC 5: Hungus -vs- Vargas (Recap)

Hello everyone, TFC 5 Hungus -vs- Vargas was a very good event. The fans that showed up at The Underground tonight

definitely got their money's worth. We had 9 fights finished without having to go to the judges. All of the fighters that were in this event really put on one hell of a show and should be pleased with their performances, win or lose. So lets get down to buisness here.

170lbs. Karl Hungus (5-2-0) -vs- Enrico Vargas (5-6-0)

This was one hell of a main event fight. It didn't last long, but was very impressive. Vargas initiated the clinch right away and was hoping to do some damage on the inside. Vargas wasn't so lucky though, and Hungus was the only one that was landing shots. Then out of nowhere Hungus pulls guard and instantly starts working for a triangle. On his second attempt on the triangle he locked it up and Vargas had no option but to tap.

Winner: Karl Hungus via 1st Rd. Submission (Triangle Choke)

265lbs. Johnny Avalon (2-0-0) -vs- Randy Couture (5-3-0)

This co-main event didn't last long at all. Couture was unable to even get a shot off. Avalon came out throwing some

heaters. Avalon was landing everything he threw and Couture had no answer for this and was unable to avoid being hit.

Winner: Johnny Avalon via 1st Rd. Knockout (Punches)

205lbs. Jon Wendigo (3-2-0) -vs- Stelian Zeklos (2-0-0)

This was just an amazing fight. Wendigo nor Zeklos had any intentions of this fight going to the ground. They took turns trading punches, but Wendigo was getting the better of Zeklos having cut him early on. However being cut wasn't going to stop Zeklos from wanting to bang with Wendigo. Perhaps he should have tried something different, but he chose to stay standing and give the fans what they wanted to see.

Winner: Jon Wendigo via 2nd Rd. TKO (Cut)

205lbs. Thane Ostergaard (7-3-0) -vs- Cthulhu Fhtagn (11-4-1)

Fhtagn didn't even let Ostergaard have the chance to be on the offensive. He was moving in and out of range, clinch andunclinching, takedown and get up. He was just putting Ostergaard on the defensive the whole time. Fhtagn just really showed him dominace in this fight being the aggressor and showing his abilities.

Winner: Cthulhu Fhtagn via TKO (Strikes)

155lbs. Lukasz Rej (2-0-0) -vs- Jarno Laasala (1-1-0)

This one was definitely a striker vs grappler fight. Laasala's striking was no joke and Rej wanted nothing to do with it. Rej was absolutely about getting this fight to the ground where he new he had the advantage. He got it there pretty fast, but Laasala was able to control him and the referee made them stand up. Laasala went to work with strikes from there looking to knock Rej out, however Rej was able to get the fight back to the ground where he basically ended the fight instantly.

Winner: Lukasz Rej via 1st Rd. Submission (Armbar)

Also on the card:

205lbs. Cyrus Inko (2-1-0) -vs- Ronaldo Suoza (1-2-0)

Winner: Cyrus Inko via 1st Rd. TKO (Knees)

265lbs. Perkele Saatana (5-8-0) -vs- Matti Koskela (9-16-0)

Winner: Perkele Saatana via 1st Rd. TKO (Strikes)

205lbs. Josh Bolda (1-1-0) -vs- Brock Shamrock (1-0-0)

Winner: Josh Bolda via 2nd Rd. Submission (Guillotine)

155lbs. Tamong Kodo (0-0-0) -vs- Mja Mjo (3-1-0)

Winner: Tamong Kodo via 1st Rd. TKO (Strikes)

265lbs. Garlin Liddle (2-4-0) -vs- Joran van der Sloot (0-0-0)

Winner: Joran van der Sloot via Decision

TFC 6: Keijo -vs- Fucked Up (Preview)

Throwdown FC is bringing you back to Wild Bob's Bar in Helsinki and they are doing it with style, bringing you the first title fight in Throwdown FC history. Jukka Tuomio and Setsuko Sasaki will be doing battle for the Super Heavyweight Title in the Co-Main Event. History will be in the making and many people are just dying to get their hands on these tickets. Also in the Main Event you will be witnessing two of the top contenders doing battle for their opportunity for a shot at the Welterweight Title. Brutaali Keijo and Eyelove Fucked Up are going to put on a show that most think will result in the next champion!

170lbs. Brutaali Keijo (3-1-0) -vs- Eyelove Fucked Up (1-0-0)

We are definitely going to get a taste of striker versus grappler in our main event. Keijo is going to look to get this fight to the ground where he has the distinct advantage, and Fucked Up is going to be doing his best to keep this fight on the feet where he has the advantage. Both of these young fighters are very good and have trained well. I wouldn't expect anything other than an exceptional fight. You already know that this fight is going to be finished. It will either end in a KO or Submission.

265+lbs. Jukka Tuomio (2-0-0) -vs- Setsuko Sasaki (6-3-0) "For the SHW Title"

Once again we have striker versus grappler. However Tuomio is a bit more well rounded than just a striker. Sasaki is

absolutely going to have his hands full. His may have the experience that Tuomio doesn't, but he certainly hasn't had the training. He's going to really have to come with a good gameplan to get this fight to the ground since his wrestling isn't quite as good as Tuomio's. This should be an exiting fight to watch.

185lbs. Rickson Rua (6-5-0) -vs- Cliff Tramadore (3-3-0)

Tramadore's old manager asked to get this fight. He said he wanted to really test his young fighter. Once the deal was made he cut him from his management. It kind of sounds as if he was just throwing this man to the wolves. Tramadore himself isn't looking at it this way, but he has a mountain to overcome in beating Rua. This looks to be an easy fight for Rua, but hey never count a fighter out. You could see a huge upset, highly unlikely, but possible.

170lbs. Justin Jangla (1-0-0) -vs- Tero Taikina (4-5-1)

Wow...this card is full of strikers versus grapplers! There seem to be so many of each and they like to fight one another so often that this is starting to become a trend. Taikina is a veteran in the cage, and Jangla is a noobie in the cage. The well roundedness of Taikina an his abilities may be a bit to overcome by Jangla. However if there is any young fighter in the welterweight division that is going to be able to compete with him the Jangla is the guy. Jangla has the superior wrestling out of the two, but Taikina has the better end of the stand up by far.

185lbs. Tyrone Brooks (1-1-0) -vs- Vitor Silva (1-1-0)

This is yet again another striker versus grappler fight. All though both of these guys are starting to progress there training into other respective techniques. Brooks is definitly going to want to submit his foe Silva. Silva on the other hand is surley going to want to KO Brooks and show his strength off. Both fighters have been on the winning and losing side, so you can assume they aren't going to want to lose anymore. This fight will definitly be a great fight.

Also on the card:

170lbs. Kid Blur (0-1-0) -vs- Myint Htaike (1-0-0)

205lbs. Dick Dickerson (4-5-0) -vs- Jim Lahey (1-1-0)

170lbs. Albert Camus (1-0-1) -vs- Edward Pattinson (1-2-1)

205lbs. Tikal Mohiney (1-2-0) -vs- Evan Tannur (1-1-0)

170lbs. Diego Sanchez (0-1-0) -vs- Don Wilson (0-0-0)

TFC 6: Keijo -vs- Fucked Up (Recap)

Welcome everyone, TFC 6: Keijo -vs- Fucked Up was a fantastic event. All of the fans that showed up at Wild Bob's Bar

tonight were treated to some of the best fights Helsinki has to offer. We had 7 of the fights finished without going to a decision. The fights that went to decisions weren't that bad either. Infact the fight of the night award went to a fight that went to a decision. The fans really had a great time and absolutely got their monies worth at this event. We even gave the first 85 people to enter the arena free tickets! Without further ado let's get down to buisness.

170lbs. Brutaali Keijo (3-1-0) -vs- Eyelove Fucked Up (1-0-0)

This fight was everything it was cracked up to be. These two gentlemen kept the fight standing the whole time basically. It was a true slugfest, there were over 200 strikes thrown throughout this fight. Keijo was trying to hang with Fucked Up, but just wasn't able to do so on the feet. Either way it doesn't matter, because he's either got a steel head or Fucked Up needs to hit the weights. (hehe) On the other hand though Fucked Up did as he pleased and showed that he was the dominate standup fighter. Perhaps next time, after he views the video of this fight he will realize his standup is amazing and put some more heat on his strikes.

Winner: Eyelove Fucked Up via Decision (Unanimous)

265+lbs. Jukka Tuomio (2-0-0) -vs- Setsuko Sasaki (6-3-0)

Wow, that is what most people in the stands were saying while watching this fight. Tuomio came out and went to work

immediately just tagging his opponent with strikes while also defending the few takedown attempts that Sasaki was able to try. Tuomio took it to the clinch and dropped Sasaki and then followed him to the ground and continued to poor it on him. Sasaki was flailing away trying to strike back, but wasn't defending himself and the referee had to stop the fight.

Winner: Jukka Tuomio via 1st Rd. TKO (Strikes) and "New Super Heavyweight Champion"

185lbs. Rickson Rua (6-5-0) -vs- Cliff Tramadore (3-3-0)

This was a bit of an upset, but Rua wouldn't tell anyone about his injuries before the fight. He didn't want to pull out of the fight and be called a pussy so he went ahead and faught. Tramadore on the other hand had just lost his manager before the fight. His manager accepted the fight and got himself paid then dropped him and rain away. If Tramadore is able to find new management you can gaurentee there will be a rematch of this fight.

Winner: Cliff Tramadore via 1st Rd. TKO (Strikes)

170lbs. Justin Jangla (1-0-0) -vs- Tero Taikina (4-5-1)

Well, this was a fight I expected Jangla to be in! However it didn't even look like he showed up. He didn't make an attempt to throw a strike or even go for a takedown. Taikina really just went all out in the fight, knowing that he needed to get this win to get back on the right track. He just absolutely abused Jangla. He took him into the clinch and beat the crap out of him. You can tell he came out the aggressor and had the intent of finishing this fight as fast as he could.

Winner: Tero Taikina via 1st Rd. TKO (Strikes)

185lbs. Tyrone Brooks (1-1-0) -vs- Vitor Silva (1-1-0)

This was a fight that both fighters really wanted. They were both very conservative on what they threw and how they were approaching things. There wasn't a bunch things happening, but both were active. Silva was the one who was able to be more successful and when it came down to the judges they all seen it the same way. You couldn't have asked much more from two young fighters looking to right there path to victory once again. I can assure you that these two warriors will be around for a long time. I would even say that you will probably see them become more aggressive once they have a little more experience.

Winner: Vitor Silva via Decision (Unanimous)

Also on the card:

170lbs. Kid Blur (0-1-0) -vs- Myint Htaike (1-0-0)

Winner: Myint Htaike via 1st Rd. Submission (Kimura)

205lbs. Dick Dickerson (4-5-0) -vs- Jim Lahey (1-1-0)

Winner: Jim Lahey via 1st Rd. Submission (Kimura)

170lbs. Albert Camus (1-0-1) -vs- Edward Pattinson (1-2-1)

Winner: Edward Pattinson via 3rd Rd. Submission (Armbar)

205lbs. Tikal Mohiney (1-2-0) -vs- Evan Tannur (1-1-0)

Winner: Evan Tannur via Decision (Unanimous)

170lbs. Diego Sanchez (0-1-0) -vs- Don Wilson (0-0-0)

Winner: Don Wilson via 1st Rd. TKO (Strikes)

Throwdown: Rage in the Cage 3 (Preview)

Welcome back fight fans, we are heading back to the Underground for another fantastic card the Throwdown FC is putting on. There will be two title fights as the main and co main events on this card. Kamoko versus Piternieks will be the most badass fight Throwdown has put together thus far. However Filterwon versus Herdum is right there as well. You can just about expect this to be another awsome fight. Let's get down to buisness now.

205lbs. Jiguro Kamoko (9-1-0) -vs- Janis Piternieks (3-0-0) (Title Fight)

Kamoko is the veteren in this fight, having had ten fights to his credit so far. Piternieks may have only had three fight at this point, but he is a very well trained fighter. I would expect these two guys to completely put everything on the line for the title that's at hand. You just never know what's going to happen in this fight due to the fact that both of these guys have been able to win their fights every way possible. It's going to be a fight for the ages!

265lbs. Qually Filterwon (6-3-0) -vs- Bobrisio Herdum (6-2-0) (Title Fight)

There is no doubt about it that this is going to be an electrifying fight. Both of these fighters love to finish fights with the big knockout. They have a combined ten knockouts out of fifteen fights. I would imagine that you aren't going to want to get up and go to the restroom, get a drink, or a snack because you may miss this fight in a big way. Filterwon and Herdum have both expressed how they feel about this fight and needless to say they want it bad.

185lbs. Stewie Griffin (9-5-0) -vs- Michael Mickele (6-6-0)

Here you have two of the most well trained and oiled machines the Throwdown cage has ever seen. It may not be the

main or co main event, but has nothing to do with a lack of talent. They will soon be reckonized everywhere and their

hype and popularity will be sky high and the sky is the limit for these two guys. It's going to be very interesting to see what type of gameplan the two of these guys come to the fight with. You can believe that it will be a good one, due to the fact that they both work under some of the best management around.

185lbs. Incubus Foo (7-5-0) -vs- Rapid Fire (4-2-0)

Both of these guys are new to the Throwdown scene and are looking to be reckonized for what they have completed in

there career to this point. There will be a lot of people who may not know them at the event, but once they leave they will be talking about this fight. It's going to be an crazy fight and you won't want to miss it. The place will go nuts once they see the amount of action that is going to take place with the two of them in the cage.

170lbs. Yrjo Puska (14-9-0) -vs- Frosty Bredejongen (7-5-0)

We have two guys that have been around the MMA world for a long time, and have a ton of experience. Puska is the type of fighter that can really grind a fight out if he doesn't feel he has the edge in anyone area. He may want to consider this with the man he is fighting, Bredejongen. Bredejongen has only won fights when knocking his opponent out and you can assume that's exactly his plan here. Should be a fantastic fight.

Also on the card:

265+lbs. Santeri Sikaniska (12-11-0) -vs- Gigantus Boargrius (4-5-0)

205lbs. Banka Jansson (4-4-0) -vs- Nicky Santoro (1-1-0)

185lbs. Arvi Rausku (7-12-1) -vs- Juha Suttu (11-8-0)

155lbs. Gonzo Bunga (8-10-0) -vs- Jere Stephens (0-3-0)

205lbs. Max Cady (1-0-0) -vs- Eino Hilavitkutin (1-4-0)

Throwdown: Rage in the Cage 3 (Recap)

Hello once again everyone, Throwdown: Rage in the Cage 3 was our best and most successful event to date. We had an

event rating of 113.09. Everyone that showed up here at "The Underground" here in Helsinki had an absolute blast.

They were difinitely able to get a bang for their buck. You just couldn't have asked for a better event. Now lets

get onto the fights!

205lbs. Jiguro Kamoko (9-1-0) -vs- Janis Piternieks (3-0-0) (Title Fight)

This was just an absolute fantastic way to end the night. These two guys came to the ring with excellent gameplans

and put them to work. They couldn't have executed them any better. They were both putting their best out there and

being completely successful. It was round to round action, with them going back and forth on who won which round.

It all boiled down to the fifth and final round. Who had something left in the gas tank! They traded punches and

kicks the entire time. Kamoko really exhausted himself with takedown attempt in the first four rounds and that may

be what caused him the fight.

Winner: Janis Piternieks via Decision (Unanimous) and "New Light Heavyweight Champion"

265lbs. Qually Filterwon (6-3-0) -vs- Bobrisio Herdum (6-2-0) (Title Fight)

Wow, is all there is to really say! Filterwon just came into this fight and just imposed his will on Herdum. He

quickly went for the takedown, landed it, and pursued to punish Herdum with some fantastic ground and pound. It's

not the fight that most expected at all. You could tell that after the fight Herdum was just so embarrassed and

upset with himself that he walked out the cage without saying a word to anyone. We all know that he shouldn't be

embarrassed of anything, and that he will come back the next fight and be even better.

Winner: Qually Filterwon via 1st Rd. Submission (Strikes) and "New Heavyweight Champion"

185lbs. Stewie Griffin (9-5-0) -vs- Michael Mickele (6-6-0)

Both of these guys were using techniques to control one another, while still being able to strike eachother at the

same time. It was a matter of controling the other person and getting the position in which they wanted. It was a

very close fight, with them bot having done enough to win each round. This fight could have gone either way, but

the judges felt the the ability to work so many different types of strikes and be a little more successful was what

made the decision a little bit easier for the judges. Although it was a tough decision for them to make.

Winner: Michael Mickele via Decision (Majority)

185lbs. Incubus Foo (7-5-0) -vs- Rapid Fire (4-2-0)

This was an insanely good fight while it lasted. Foo was definitely getting the better of the striking against Fire,

but was cut early on with a head kick. With the cut being there and bleeding he began to tire quite fastly. He was

wanting to take the fight into the clinch to try and regain his composure after being head kicked, but Fire was able

to avoid the clinch quite well. In Foo's last attempt to take the fight into the clinch Fire escaped and countered

with a great high kick that sent Foo straight to the ground. The referee decided he had seen enough and dove in to

stop the fight.

Winner: Rapid Fire via 1st Rd. TKO (Strikes)

170lbs. Yrjo Puska (14-9-0) -vs- Frosty Bredejongen (7-5-0)

It was a fast fight with little to be talked about. Bredejongen was being punched almost at will before landing a

massive head kick that knocked Puska to the ground where he followed him knowing he was rocked. He wanted to finish

the fight right there, but Puska was able to control just long enough to regain some composure. However that didn't

last long after Puska was able to stand up because he was then again head kick hard and then Bredejongen followed

the head kick with several strikes making the referee have to step in and stop the fight.

Winner: Frosty Bredejongen via 1st Rd. TKO (Kick and Punches)

Also on the card:

265+lbs. Santeri Sikaniska (12-11-0) -vs- Gigantus Boargrius (4-5-0)

Winner: Santeri Sikaniska via 2nd Rd. TKO (Strikes)

205lbs. Banka Jansson (4-4-0) -vs- Nicky Santoro (1-1-0)

Winner: Nicky Santoro via 2nd Rd. KO (Punches)

185lbs. Arvi Rausku (7-12-1) -vs- Juha Suttu (11-8-0)

Winner: Juha Suttu via 2nd Rd. Submission (Armbar)

155lbs. Gonzo Bunga (8-10-0) -vs- Jere Stephens (0-3-0)

Winner: Gonzo Bunga via 2nd Rd. TKO (Strikes)

205lbs. Max Cady (1-0-0) -vs- Eino Hilavitkutin (1-4-0)

Winner: Max Cady via 1st Rd. KO (Punch)

Ladies and Gentlemen, fight fans of all ages I'd like to welcome you to xXx - Throwdown's, Throwdown 12

preview. Over the next 30 minutes we'll be breaking down the Main Card of another fantastic event put

together by xXx - Throwdown, and it's management team. Let's get on with it now!

MAIN CARD FIGHTS:

145LBS. KAROL BARORF (6-0-0) -vs- KESUKE MIYAGI (5-2-1) MAIN EVENT FIGHT

Both of these men are entering the Throwdown Cage for the first time to headline this event. I wouldn't

expect anything less than wonderful! Karol Barorf is coming in riding a undefeated streak at 6-0, looking

to expand that to an amazing 7-0 record afterwards. Kesuke Miyagi is coming in looking to deprive his

opponent of that perfect record. Both seem to be very good on the ground and are working vigorously to

improve their standup. I know that Throwdown would really like to resign Karol Barorf to another contract

after this event. They signed him to a 1 fight contract, but are hoping that after his debut are hoping to be

able to work something out to keep him here for a few more. Karol is just an absolute beast on the ground

with having won all 6 of his fights via submission, and you could assume that is exactly what he wants to

do here. Kesuke is a grinder and hasn't been finished in either of his 2 losses. We know from his previous

fights that he is not going to get tired. He will definitely give Karol a run for his money in this fight. You

won't want to miss this fight, it's also the first Featherweight fight that Throwdown has had since opening

it's doors.

155LBS. GLEN DALE ARIZONA (7-4-0) -vs- MOSSE VORMISTO (2-1-0) CO-MAIN EVENT FIGHT

Here are two more new comers to the Throwdown Cage, in Glen Dale Arizona and Mosse Vormisto. Glen

Dale is the more seasoned veteran in this fight, but Mosse isn't a newby himself. He has been training

for a while now and looks to be in the best shape of his life. Glen Dale and Mosse are fairly even in all

aspects of fighting. Glen Dale is coming into this fight having lost his last 2 fights and wants to turn that

around as fast as he can once he enters the cage. Mosse has won has last 2 fights and really wants to

continue this winning streak hoping to be able to earn himself another knockout. I would say this is going

to be nothing less than a spectacular co-main event.

155LBS. GONZO BUNGA (9-10-0) -vs- LUKASZ REJ (3-0-0)

Gonzo Bunga and Lukasz Rej are entering the cage to face eachother for the 2nd time. Lukasz got the

better of Gonzo in their first fight, and Gonzo is looking to redeem himself. Both are very evenly matched

I would imagine this thing isn't going to a decision. There is some bad blood here for Gonzo, but Lukasz

just see's it as another fight. If Gonzo wants to get the win in this fight he is going to have to use the only

thing he has to his clear advantage, and that's his Muay Thai. With this being the 2nd meeting between

them I would imagine that Lukasz would like to be able to finish this fight this time to prove that the first

time wasn't just lucky. It's going to be a fight that all the fight fans want to see that were able to make it

to the event where they faught for the first time.

170LBS. FROSTY BREDEJONGEN (8-5-0) -vs- EDWARD PATTINSON (2-2-1)

Frosty Bredejongen is coming in after finally getting himself a victory after having lost 3 fights in a row. He

was definitely relieved once he got that victory knowing that he wasn't a bad fighter, he said "it was just

a few matchups that weren't in his favor and that he has started training at a new camp". Edward Pattinson

has been doing pretty well as of late. He wasn't really all that thrilled when a fight went to a decision and

the judges ruled it a Draw. It made him even more determined and he came back in to win the rematch.

These guys stand themselves apart in one area each in the standup and on the ground. Frosty is the

better boxer and Edward is the better muay thai fighter. Then for the ground game Frosty is the better

wrestler and Edward is the better jiu jitsu fighter. Neither one of these two have ever been knocked out, but

both have been submitted. With that said you would think this may not be a very good fight, but you need

to look back on Frosty's record. He has won all 8 of his fights via knockout! Don't blink you might just

miss the crazy finish that this fight brings to the table!

185LBS. RAPID FIRE (5-2-0) -vs- ADAM STOMPER (1-0-0)

Rapid Fire is coming into this fight on a 4 fight winning streak after having lost his first two fights. Adam

Stomper is coming in off of a debut win and wishes to continue on with an unbeaten record. However

from what I have gather neither one of these guys care what the others record is or what they have done

prior to this fight. They both want to get into the cage and prove that they deserve to be in the spotlight of

the middleweight division. Stomper is definitely the underdog here, with being a bit less trained in boxing,

muay thai, and wrestling. He may have to go to his jiu jitsu to get this victory or just outwork his opponent

throughout the fight. Which may be much harder than it sounds.

UNDERCARD FIGHTS:

205LBS. MAX CADY (2-0-0) -vs- DIMITRI KOLESKY (2-1-0)

185LBS. INCUBUS FOO (7-6-0) -vs- VITOR SILVA (2-1-0)

185LBS. STEWIE GRIFFIN (9-6-0) -vs- JUHA SUTTU (12-8-0)

185LBS. RICKSON RUA (6-6-0) -vs- ARVI RAUSKU (7-13-1)

170LBS. KID BLUR (0-2-0) -vs- JUSTIN JANGLA (1-1-0)

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, and fight fans around the world. Throwdown 12 was an absolute success. We were able to sell the Underground Arena out with ease, and put on a fantastic show. Over the next 30 minutes we'll be breaking down the rresults of the fights!

MAIN CARD FIGHTS:

145LBS. KAROL BARORF (6-0-0) -vs- KESUKE MIYAGI (5-2-1) MAIN EVENT FIGHT

All there really is to say about this fight is that both came out to counter the other and not much happened through all 3 rounds. There was a total of 4 strikes landed and 1 takedown, I'm not sure how happy the fans were after watching this, but hey sometimes you have to turn a fight really ugly to get a victory. Miyagi did however put a finish to Barorf's 6 fight win streak like he wanted to. He has also decided to drop a weight class since this fight and will be moving to the bantamweights division.

WINNER: KESUKE MIYAGI VIA DECISION (UNANIMOUS)

155LBS. GLEN DALE ARIZONA (7-4-0) -vs- MOSSE VORMISTO (2-1-0) CO-MAIN EVENT FIGHT

These guys really put on a show, it started off kind of slow trying to get a feel for eachother, then they were really taking turns landing shots. Vormisto really did the most of his damage on the ground with some really good ground and pound. It was a fantastic fight and the fans really loved it, you would have seen that if you had been in house to witness it.

WINNER: MOSSE VORMISTO VIA SUBMISSION (STRIKES) ALSO FIGHT OF THE NIGHT!

155LBS. GONZO BUNGA (9-10-0) -vs- LUKASZ REJ (3-0-0)

This was a rematch from several months back when Rej won with a dominating wrestling performace, taking Bunga down almost at will. This time around was a completely different story, with Bunga being able to keep the fight standing and really putting his muay thai to work. Bunga was basically landing everything he threw and really showed his dominace in the striking category.

WINNER: GONZO BUNGA VIA KO (PUNCHES) ALSO KNOCKOUT OF THE NIGHT

170LBS. FROSTY BREDEJONGEN (8-5-0) -vs- EDWARD PATTINSON (2-2-1)

This is a fight that you will all see again very soon. Everything in the fight was just even all the way through. They took turns striking with one another, and both had gone for a bunch of takedowns.

WINNER: MAJORITY DRAW

185LBS. RAPID FIRE (5-2-0) -vs- ADAM STOMPER (1-0-0)

This was something I don't think anyone was expecting in the opening fight of the main card. Stomper came out looking to score the takedown, but was just brutally beaten down by Fire with some big time kicks. If you've never seen a guy light someone up with only kicks you don't know what your missing. You need to come and see this guy fight. He throws kicks to the head, body, and legs and does it with wreckless abandonment.

WINNER: RAPID FIRE VIA KO (HEAD KICK)

UNDERCARD FIGHTS:

205LBS. MAX CADY (2-0-0) -vs- DIMITRI KOLESKY (2-1-0)

Winner: Max Cady via TKO (Strikes)

185LBS. INCUBUS FOO (7-6-0) -vs- VITOR SILVA (2-1-0)

Winner: Incubus Foo via TKO (Strikes)

185LBS. STEWIE GRIFFIN (9-6-0) -vs- JUHA SUTTU (12-8-0)

Winner: Stewie Griffin via TKO (Knees)

185LBS. RICKSON RUA (6-6-0) -vs- ARVI RAUSKU (7-13-1)

Winner: Rickson Rua via Submission (Armbar) Also Sub of the Night!

170LBS. KID BLUR (0-2-0) -vs- JUSTIN JANGLA (1-1-0)

Winner: Justin Jangla via TKO (Strikes)

MAIN CARD FIGHTS:

265LBS. GANGMO LEE (5-1-0) -vs- BOBRISIO HERDUM (6-3-0)

Gangmo Lee is coming into this main event fight carrying a 5 fight win streak. He lost his very first pro fight, and every since then he has been on a tear. He's using his BJJ to his advantage and is a wolrd class Brown Belt that in most places would be consindered a Black Belt. Bobrisio Herdum, has had a few up and down months here lately. Even with this being the case he is a dominate fighter and has a good record. Lee seems to be the better boxer and bjj fighter, but hasn't displayed the boxing near as much as the bjj. Herdum is the better muay thai and wrestler in this bout, but I'm not so sure he is going to want to take this fight to the ground.

185LBS. LAKE LO (0-0-0) -vs- TWIZZY TWIZZ (0-0-0)

Well, only from what we can see is what we can talk about at this point! Lake Lo looks as if he has really been working on his physicals and secondary training. Twizzy Twizz on the other hand has really tried to broden his primary skills and has been working on boxing and muay thai. I would expect a knockout!

185LBS. BOBBY MERCER (0-0-0) -vs- DIEGO SILVA (0-0-0)

Bobby Mercer, has really being training up his boxing and muay thai. He's looking to have a wider variety of striking than the rest of the competetion. Diego Silva on the other hand must be really working hard on his physicals and secondaries looking to have the upper hand in his boxing over his opponent!

185LBS. HENDERSON HENDERSON (0-0-0) -vs- JASON TANNER (0-0-0)

Henderson Henderson and Jason Tanner are almost identical in there boxing and muay thai, so I would say that they both have similar gameplans for their tenure in the tourny. I would almost guess this fight is going to come down to who has the better power, speed, and even perhaps who ever can land that big shot!

185LBS. SIMON GUEY (0-0-0) -vs- SID CROZBEE (0-0-0)

Simon Guey and Sid Crozbee are both outstanding boxers and athelets. I would imagine that this could really become a really close boxing match, and may come down to who has the better conditioning to out last the other. I would imagine that both are coming in strong and will be looking to put the other ones lights out!

UNDERCARD FIGHTS:

185LBS. BADR OVEREEM (0-0-0) -vs- IAN BALLO ALLO (0-0-0)

185LBS. SPURRO SPARRE (0-0-0) -vs- BEE BENSON (0-0-0)

185LBS. DAN HARDY JR (0-0-0) -vs BRIAN DIXON (0-0-0)

185LBS. TIO FAME (0-0-0) -vs- MIKKEL KESSLER (0-0-0)

185LBS. BOB HOPE (0-0-0) -vs- ALBUS ATHANASIUS (0-0-0)

Alright now we are on to the next event!

MAIN CARD FIGHTS:

265LBS. QUALLY FILTERWON (7-3-0) -vs- MIKAEL LINDEL (3-0-0) "TITLE FIGHT"

These two young warriors are identical in their standup skills, Lindel holds an edge in the wrestling and bjj side of things, but a huge amount! Filterwon won the title in his last fight in a dominating performace, by making his opponent submit to strikes in the first round. Earning himself knockout of the night. Lindel was very successful in his last fight where he put his opponent to sleep with a massive shot. So not only are these two fighters good on the ground they both have some pretty serious knockout power as well. This should be an awsome fight to watch!

205LBS. JANIS PITERNIEKS (4-0-0) -vs- BOBBY DRYSDALE (9-4-0) "TITLE FIGHT"

This should be an interesting fight, Drysdale brings some different styles of fighting to the cage than Piternieks has faught at this point in his career. Piternieks though on the other hand has to be one of the most talented fighters out there for his age and has really shown his dominace here at Throwdown in Helsinki. He only keeps getting better and is just an absolute beast once he's in the cage. Drysdale is coming in to this fight after a controversial split decision loss in his last fight, and will be looking to avenge it. Piternieks will definitely give him a fight he'll never forget. This fight will be electrifying!

135LBS. BUZZ CLOLTRAN (5-0-0) -vs- TIN LAU (10-2-0) "TITLE FIGHT"

This could potentialy be one of the best fights that Throwdown has ever had on a card. These two fighters are so close to being even in every aspect that anyone could come out victorious. Cloltran doesn't intend on letting his perfect record be disgraced and will look to show that he is the best bantamweight fighter in Helsinki! Lau on the other hand wants to come in and give him that first loss and prove that he is the real champion. You had better be ready to watch a war when these two enter the ring.

155LBS. TORSTEN OSTERGAARD (7-2-0) -vs- MARLON WORTHY (6-1-0) "TITLE FIGHT"

This was a great fight on a past card, being that both of these guy's last fight was against eachother a few weeks back. Worthy wasn't please with his own performance or the way the judges seen the fight. Ostergaard on the other hand, believes he showed everyone he was the more dominate fighter in their last fight. He agreed to take this fight again to prove to everyone once again that it was no fluke. With the outcome of the last fight, I would suggest to everyone that you shouldn't expect this fight to make it that far. These guys are going to look to finish the fight every chance they get. It should be very entertaining!

265+LBS. ALEKSANDR GURAKOVSKIY (5-1-0) -vs- SHAUN ELLISON (4-5-0)

Gurakovskiy is entering the Throwdown Cage for the first time in his career. He coming into this fight with an fantastic record at 5-1 and looks to continue his winning ways. In his path though stands a fighter that has been in a slump as of late and has lost his last 4 fights. Ellison appears on paper to be the better fighter, and he hopes to show that he is the better fighter and not only on paper. We talked to Ellison's management and if he loses he's considering retirement. So if you are a fan of Ellison's come out and show him some support! It should be an interesting fight to say the least.

UNDERDARD FIGHTS:

205LBS. KEIJO LERPPA (6-8-1) -vs- JON WENDIGO (4-3-0)

265+LBS. JUKKA TUOMIO (3-0-0) -vs- SANTERI SIKANISKA (13-11-0) "TITLE FIGHT"

205LBS. IVAN DRAGO (15-11-0) -vs- STELIAN ZEKLOS (3-1-0)

135LBS. ZECA JACKSON (5-3-0) -vs- QUINTON HARRY (6-1-0)

205LBS. NICKY SANTORO (2-1-0) -vs- EVAN TANNUR (2-1-0)

185lbs. Spurro Sparre (0-1-0) -vs- Albus Athanasius (0-1-0)

Spurro was doing very good in the 1st round of the tourny really dominating the 1st round of his fight. He was caught with a big strike and was rocked early in the 2nd round where he eventually got knockout out. He's coming out to prove that he deserves to be feared and that he is one of the dominate fighters in this tourny. On the other hand Albus was handled pretty well by his opponent in the 1st round of the tourny losing by a decision. He was taken in and out of the clinch where he was completely out classed. He doesn't intend on letting that happen again!

185lbs. Dan Hardy Jr (0-1-0) -vs- Diego Silva (0-1-0)

Dan was really putting his combinations to use and doing pretty well, but was clearly caught off guard by his opponents strength early on and was rocked, and then finished just moments later in the 1st round of his fight. He has said he doesn't plan on changing anything other than being a little more accurate with his strikes this time around. Silva was also doing well early on cutting his opponent just seconds into the fight, but was kicked a lot and kept on the outside where his opponent really mixed up all different types of kicks. He was caught with a head kick that eventually ended his night early. Both guys really like to throw punches in this fight and should be a really good fight!

185lbs. Lake Lo (0-1-0) -vs- Sid Crozbee (0-1-0)

Lake wasn't happy with the outcome of his fight in the 1st round of the tourny. Seeing to how he landed more strikes than his opponent he still lost by a decision where the judges seen the fight one sided with a 30-27 loss. The judges must have thought his opponent landed the strikes with the most damage. He's looking to avenge that loss and impress the judges this time and show them they were wrong last time. Sid was really being just a little to tentative in his last fight really looking to throw strikes at just the right time, and was out matched with that gameplan as his opponent came out really aggressive looking to stop the fight early on. I would imagine he went back to the gym and has been working on a better gameplan for this fight looking to get himself back to a 500 record.

185lbs. Bob Hope (1-0-0) -vs- Mikkel Kessler (0-1-0)

Bob is feeling good coming into the 2nd round of the tourny with a victory under his belt. The only thing he wasn't happy about was not being able to finish the fight. He did however dominate the fight winning all three rounds. He is really coming in hyped up and looking to finish this fight this time though. Mikkel was really trading shots with his opponent in the 1st round of the tourny with his punches vs kicks. He was hit by a head kick and cut about a minute in and stop 30 seconds later with more kicks and punches. He is looking to get on track with a win here in the 2nd round. From what some of his training partners said, he has been training harder than they have ever seen him train in times past. They said he is hungry and wants this W bad!

185lbs. Badr Overeem (0-1-0) -vs- Twizzy Twizz (1-0-0)

Badr was clearly overwhelmed in the 1st round of the tourny losing a decision, but in dramatic form. He was out striked in every way possible with his opponent landing more than 90% of his strikes and more than 100 strikes thrown his way. He has had to have gone back and regameplanned for this fight. He doesn't want the same thing to happen again and I'm sure we won't see this again. Twizzy was a clinch monster winning a much closer fight than the judges ruled, but he has shown that he knows how to gameplan very well. He is very clinch happy and will look to do things just like before, but be looking for the kill in this one. He has to know what happened with Badr in his last fight and will most likely look to put on a clinic here! Should be very interesting from the start.

185lbs. Bobby Mercer (1-0-0) -vs- Jason Tanner (0-1-0)

Mercer will be coming in here with all smiles after his 1st round tourny win. He was cut about 20 seconds into the fight and still wound up head kicking his opponent to sleep. It was a back and forth fight for about half of the time the fight lasted and then head kick after head kick lead him to victory. Jason well he has to be just a little bit disappointed after his 1st round split decision loss that really truely could have gone either way. There was a ton of strikes thrown between him and his opponent with each one being rocked and cut. It really looked like the judges had the hardest decision to make when it came down to picking a winner in that fight. He will be looking to make sure that the fight doesn't go to a decision where the judges could rule against him again.

185lbs. Henderson Henderson (1-0-0) -vs- Brian Dixon (1-0-0)

Henderson was in a very tough fight in the 1st round of the tourny which was a split decision victory in which he was awarded the win. It was a very close fight in which case could have gone either way. He's very happy coming into this fight having won, but still said he wasn't completely satisfied with himself saying he knows he is better than he performed in the 1st round of the tourny and you will see a different him in his next fight. Brian was a very decisive victor in round 1 of the tourny just blasting his way through his opponent and being very accurate with his strikes as well. He couldn't be any happier with the outcome and will most likely look to do the same thing in this fight. If he doesn't manage to get the knockout early on, he may have his hands full with Henderson seeing as how Henderson has gone a full 3 rounds already.

185lbs. Simon Guey (1-0-0) -vs- Ian Ballo Allo (1-0-0)

Simon was exited after his last fight saying the tourny couldn't have started better for him. He said everyone had better get used to seeing him put people to sleep with powerful strikes. He said the sad thing was that nobody has been able to see the best him yet except his sparring partners. Ian hasn't really been out in the public eye much and doesn't say a lot to anyone. He is a very focused fighter and spends all of his spare time in the gym working on his game. After his first fight, I would say it is paying off. He completely dominated the fight from the first bell, landing so many strikes that we aren't even sure that the punch count could be accurate. I would imagine his gameplan isn't going to change much and we will probably see the same type of fighter as last time, except he make look to get the big finish this time. He better be aware of his opponents strength though or he could find himself in a bad spot really quick.

185lbs. Tio Fame (1-0-0) -vs- Bee Benson (1-0-0)

Tio was completely on target with what he had gameplanned with his first fight and wants to continue to build on that with another quick knockout here. He has a lot of power and will be looking to take his opponents head off. He was one of the favorites to win this tourny from the beginning and doesn't want to let the fans down. He said he can't let what everyone thinks about him get to his head though and he has to take each and every opponent serious and not look past anyone. Bee is another one of those fighters that really brings the knock out power to the cage. He has a lot of experience having been a golden gloves boxer as a teenager and will look to use his quick powerful hands early and often. He is going to have to be quick with his punches though, and get inside and back outside or he could be caught with a deadly kick from Tio. This could be one of the most exiting fights of the night!

205lbs. Jiguro Kamoko (9-3-0) -vs- Jon Wendigo (5-3-0)

This is the #1 contenders fight for the Light Heavyweight title. The winner of this fight will be fight the champion Janis Piternieks, who is still undefeated. With all of his fights having been here at Throwdown. Jiguro is on a 2 fight losing streak with having lost to Janis to start the losing streak. He is wanting this bad and wanting to get the title back that was once his. He is one of the best fighters you will ever watch. Jon on the other hand has been really working hard, he wants to get his shot at the title and show he is a warrior. Jon is a fighter that can win the fight anywhere it goes, whether it's on the feet or the ground. He can even make it a grinder fight and take it to a decision. I would imagine that both of these guys will leave everything in ring. They don't want to let the judges decide who gets the chance to fight for the title and I would imagine we won't see that.

Throwdown K-1 MW Tourny Rd. 2 Review

185lbs. Spurro Sparre (0-1-0) -vs- Albus Athansius (1-0-0)

Spurro really did a great job keeping this fight at a distance. Every time Albus tried to get into the clinch Spurro pushed him away and slipped a punch in. Spurro was very clean and crisp with his strikes. He was throwing a lot of power with his combos which in turn cut Albus and ultimately knocked him out.

185lbs. Dan Hardy Jr (0-1-0) -vs- Diego Silva (0-1-0)

Dan was on a mission in this fight. He was throwing a ton of punches and combos. Diego really started out well countering and using good movement. He cut Dan about 30 seconds in and landed more strikes than Dan. However Dan's strength proved to be to much for Diego to handle in the end.

185lbs. Sid Crozbee (0-1-0) -vs- Lake Lo (0-1-0)

Sid was being a more selective striker and Lake was taking the fight into the clinch where he clearly felt more comfortable. Lake was throwing a bunch of knees to the head and body, but just wasn't landing enough of them to be effective. Sid was doing work in the clinch of his own with some dirty boxing. Lake was just a bit to eager to start the 3rd round wanting to finish the fight andwalking right into a huge left hand which was followed with a barrage of punches to end the fight.

185lbs. Mikkel Kessler (0-1-0) -vs- Bob Hope (1-0-0)

Mikkel came to this fight and simply out worked Bob. He landed more than 80% of his strikes and he threw a ton of strikes. Bob being the warrior he is just kept walking through them. I think toward the end of the fight he had eaten so many punches he was exhausted and Mikkel was able to capitalize on it throwing a big overhand right dropping Bob like a sack of potatoes!

185lbs. Twizzy Twizz (1-0-0) -vs- Badr Overeem (0-1-0)

Twizzy was cut within 15 seconds of the fight which must have really pissed him off because, he absolutely became a monster. He wasn't able to knock Badr out which tells me Badr has a badass chin. Twizzy dominated every round taking the fight into the clinch and used a variety of dirty boxing and muay thai. Twizzy seems like he is a man on a mission, and has to be one of the fan favorite after this fight.

185lbs. Jason Tanner (0-1-0) -vs- Bobby Mercer (1-0-0)

Jason was very effective with his counter striking and must have a ton of strength behind his punches. Bobby came in looking to be the aggressor and try to finish the fight quick. Jason's gameplan wokred to a T for him tonight as he won in awsome fashion. He is going to have to keep coming with these great gameplans to keep up what he accomplished here tonight.

185lbs. Brian Dixon (1-0-0) -vs- Henderson Henderson (1-0-0)

Brian and Henderson were steadily going back and forth landing and throwing strikes. Brian was landing more of his strikes, but Henderson was really trying to tear his head off throwing head kick after head kick. It would appear that Brian would take the fight in and out of the clinch for a breather and to help himself avoid a lot of Henderson's kicks. He really used the clinch to his advantage to control the fight and turn it into his type of fight. It was exciting to watch with these guys going all out throwing everything in their arsenal.

185lbs. Simon Guey (1-0-0) -vs- Ian Ballo Allo (1-0-0)

This was absolutely a war! Simon and Ian both just went all out being about as aggressive as they could be. Ian came out and really did work in the 1st round showing his dominance with his kicks. Then in the 2nd round Simon came out and gave it right back dominating the round and really letting his hands go. In the 3rd round again Simon was able to be the more dominate fighter. This is a fight that you really hate to see any one person have to lose. These guys definitely left it all in the cage and will have to be feared at some level.

185lbs. Bee Benson (1-0-0) -vs- Tio Fame (1-0-0)

Tio came out and landed some serious kicks right out the gate cutting Bee 5 to 10 seconds in and really

just delivered some good head and legs kicks throughout the 1st round. Just after the 2nd round started Bee rocked Tio, but wasn't able to capitalize and Tio was landing his brutal leg and body kicks keeping Bee on the outsaide winning the 2nd round. In the 3rd round though Bee came alive after being opened back up in the 2nd round. He knew he had nothing to lose since his corner let him know he was down 2 rounds to none. So he just let his hands go and finished the fight soon after with a knockout.

205lbs. Jiguro Kamoko (9-3-0) -vs- Jon Wendigo (5-3-0)

Jiguro really came to fight and redeem himself from some of his past fights. He definitely done that here and landed pretty much everything he threw at will. He was able to score 2 takedowns out of 2 attempts and just brutally beat Jon up on the ground. Jon wasn't able to ever really get anything going and was there for ultimately out worked and beaten. Jon will be back and more developed as a fighter when he enters the cage again you can believe that.

Throwdown 21

Hard Knocks Arena

January 20, 2012

Robert Smith -vs- Tero Taikina

170lbs.

I can't even come close to imagine that this fight will have a boring moment in it. Smith is a true finisher with 11 out of his 12 wins coming by way of knockout. He is coming off of his first loss in nearly 3 years. (Game Years) Tainkina is a fighter that really likes to wear his opponents down and take fights to the end. He is a decision machine and normally does enough to get the victory. Will his endurance be what wins him this fight or will his use his wrestling advantage to win? If he doesn't use what he has to his advantage then he may find himself laying on the mat sleeping. This should be a very interesting fight with a ton of action!

Hannibal lecter -vs- Santeri Sikaniska

265+lbs.

Lecter must have really learned a lot from his first fight as a pro. He hasn't given much of an opportunity to anyone to for a victory as he has won 9 straight fights. All of those wins have come by knockout with not one of them making it out of the 2nd round. He is a true wrecking machine on the feet and shows absolutely no remorse of crushing skulls. Sikaniska as has been around for quite a while and has many fights under his belt. He has all the skills to put Lecter's winning streak to an end. On paper Sikaniska is the better fighter, but the only thing that stands out on paper to go against him is that his chin hasn't always with held the punishment that others have offered him. If he can avoid being hit by the beast of a man called Lecter he has a great opportunity at winning.

Jukka Tuomio -vs- Gable Bot

265+lbs. (Title Fight)

Tuomio is coming in with a perfect record and continues to defend his Super Heavyweight Title successfully. He has won every fight he has had as a pro and doesn't appear to be looking to give his title up for anything. He is going to be fighting a very fantastic wrestler in Bot who was suppose to be in the olympics in 2008, but was injured just weeks before his dream could happen. He has since then showed why he should have been there and why he could have won gold. He has won 5 of his 6 fights this far in his career and has really become a man on a mission. He wants to show the world that he will win gold in something whether it be MMA or the Olympics! Here is his chance, but will his wrestling help him overcome all the other big disadvantages he has going up agaisnt the current champion who really likes knocking people out?

Buzz Cloltran -vs- Tin Lau

135lbs. (Title Fight)

This is a rematch between the two that Lau has earned. He lost the first time out by a clear decision loss, losing every round. He came back in his next fight and fought and beat the veteran Colin Burton by split decision. Cloltran is living the dream right now, taking things one fight at a time and winning. He is a perfect 7-0 right now and looking to make it 8-0 by finishing Lau this time to make it clear that the first time wasn't a fluke. Lau though has other thoguhts and is on a mission to end the pretty boys win streak and take his strap. Lau feels that he can and will beat Cloltran and walk out with the belt. Lau will have to undoubtly fight the perfect fight in order to win, but all it takes is one slip from either man and the fight could come to an end. Who will take advantage of the other guys mistakes the best and prove to the world that they are the best Bantamweight in Helsinki?

Holden Gracie -vs- Don Wilson

170lbs. (Title Fight)

This is a fight that a lot of people have had their eye on since the card was announced. You have two guys who are yet to suffer a loss. Gracie is the current champion and has to be one of the best rising fighters in Helsinki at Welterweight. His opponent is no sloutch either and has clearly earned his right to be here contending for the title. Wilson is without a doubt going to be the toughest test that Gracie has had to face yet. Both of these guys are very versatile and have the ability to take the fight anywhere and win. Neither one of them will be looking to just throw one punch knockouts. They are both very skilled and really know how to put together good gameplans, that obviously work. This will be a very technical fight where they both will be looking to get the edge on the other. This could potentially be one of the best fights to have happened in Throwdown since opening their doors back in the middle of 2011. You won't want to miss this fight!

Also on the Card

155lbs. Mosse Vormisto -vs- Nad Rodhrehson

205lbs. Nicky Santoro -vs- Max Cady

205lbs. Jose Duran -vs- Jason Gambit

170lbs. Barrica Zincada -vs- Edward Pattinson

205lbs. Dimitri Kolesky -vs- Tikal Mohiney

Throwdown 22 Preview (By Ceasar Tomson)

What a night of fights we have coming up! On January 27, 2012 xXx – Throwdown at Hayashi’s Lounge.

The first fight in my preview tonight Smith Hammer vs Johnny Avalon. This is a weird match up Avolon is coming off a two fight losing streak and fighting a higher ranked opponent in Hammer. But as Bas Rutten always says styles make fights. Avolon came in destroying people knocking them out and spitting on them after the fights for good measure. His first loss came in a 45sec submission which I think affected him and caused him to think to much in his last fight a look at the clock led to his first time being knocked out. Now Avolon says he’s going to jus knock people out and let the time take care of itself. Smith Hammer a interesting fighter He knocked a fighter out in his first fight and since then has been taking people down and grinding out a win. Don’t get me wrong Hammer isn’t boring his ground and pound and submission attempts has kept it exciting so in this fight he may get that submission win if he can get it to the ground.

Next up Sergey Kharinov vs Anderson McGinley. Sergey is a vet in mma he has been a champion in other places, coming of a disappointing loss for the title here in Triple X give him your chin and he will take it off. On paper McGinley is a little bit better in all aspects of the game but Sergey has the time put in. Sergey may not be as sharp in technique as McGinley but Sergey knows when to fight or when to brawl. Now McGinley is a interesting fighter he has only had two fights and outclassed the other fighters quickly. Both fights together he has only been in the cage for 81 seconds. A lot of questions for McGinley does he have stamina, can he take a punch, is he ready for a real fight. He will answer all that when these two fighters go one on one.

Another fight on the card, Kesuke Miyagi vs Zeca Jackson. Another style vs style in this one Miyagi is a puppeteer, he puts you in the clinch but he doesn’t beat you up he just flings you around the cage and controls you. Miyagi is a bully just makes you do what he wants you to do and leaves it at that. Now Jackson he goes to finish fights, he’s not happy with just a win he wants to show you how he won in a highlight reel. Lets see who will win the clinch game in this one?

Now for the Co-Main Event Pierre Silverhielm vs Colin Burton Silverhielm is a fighter he fights for a knockout in every fight and half the time he gets it. When it goes to decision his opponent is on wobbly legs. Silverhielm will be looking for that one mistake and knock out. Burton a fighter chasing the knockout but can never seem to get it. Burton can hit you from any angle but just can’t get that finish. He’s submitted someone, but he has told me he wants to know how it feels to put someone to sleep. Maybe just maybe he will know the feeling in this fight, or Silverhielm will hit him while he’s hunting and knock him out. Tune in and see what happins.

What a main event Bobrisio Herdum vs Spar Sparman. These two fighters have an open hatred for judges. They hate them and if you let these guys make the rules people would be going to the hospital before they went in front of judges. Herdum is a fantastic Muay Thai practitioner, not only will he knock you out he will cut you up and leave you looking like Ric Flair in the 70s. Herdum doesn’t come to play. Sparman what a fighter he lives by the sword and dies by the sword in his motto. He says swing some and swing some more and if anyone else is awake swing again. He has said that he will not lose again so this fight will not go befir the judges.

What a card Triple X –throwdown is where its at.

Also on the card

Miika Laihaila vs Adonis Silva

Guster Spencer vs Ryu Hadoken

Keijo Lerppa vs Josh Bolda

Vartan Sophaz vs Gigantus Boagrius

Frosty Bredejongen vs Albert Camus

Throwdown K-1 Tourny Quarter Finals Preview (Ceasar Tomson)

Now it’s time to continue the XXX Throwdown k-1 Quarter Tourney. We are going live to the underground in Helsinki.

Here is a quick rundown in the brackets.

Jason Tanner v Henderson Henderson Ok we got Mr. Knockout fighting Mr. 50-50. Tanner is going to look to throw bombs until he can’t lift his hands, he better pray for the knockout though judges don’t seem to like him. Henderson is a puncher and a kicker and the problem with that is as Henderson can tell you, you can get caught up trying to throw good combo’s you run out of time in the fight you may win but not finish. Puncher vs Technician interesting conundrum.

Brian Dixon v Ian Ballo Allo this fight is interesting they both have a 60- 40 split in their wins. Allo has a loss by decision that he does not want to feel again. I see this one going to the second round and a lucky punch makes it through and one of them is left standing, I won’t tell you who though…Yet.

Simon Guey v Tio Fame This is going to be a barn burner. Simon Guey is my pick to win this one and possibly the whole tourney. Guey is mean and just likes to stand and finish fast. Fame is a good fighter and he has a chance but his chin is suspect I believe he could move on if it wasn’t Guey that he was fighting. We will see in this one if I’m wrong.

Spurro Sparre v Bee Benson these two fighters have the same record 4-1 Bensons loss is a little newer then Sparre so I would be looking for Benson’s fire to be burning a little hotter than Sparre because the loss is fresher. Now saying that Sparre might be able to relax a little more and take himself out of a bad situation because he hasn’t lost for a little bit. We will see this one will be exciting.

Also on the card

Karl Hungus vs Victor Blitzkof

Aleksandr Gurakovskiy vs Kriztov The Yeti

Glen Dale Arizona vs Gonzo Bunga

Rapid Fire vs War Brace

Bob Saggett vs Badr Overeem

Marcus Adams vs Lukasz Rej

(The only reason more fights weren't in the preview is I forgot to mention to Ceasar that the K-1 tourny was down to 4 fights and the rest were MMA fights. I'm sorry guys.)

Throwdown 22 Results

O my God did I not tell you? I Told you! Ceasar Tomson here calling the shots and reviewing it all from a wild night of fights.

First off fight # 5 Hammer vs Avalon. Hammer got the take down after a kick to the body he didn’t like, then Avolon crawled up off the ground and landed a couple punches to the head while Hammer was trying to get the take down. Avolon got the clinch and mixed up his strikes and was landing at will. Hammer persisted with the take downs and pulled guard and got it to the ground. Now even though he was on his back Hammer kept working. Avolon made a mistake throwing bombs and got caught with a armbar at 3:21 first round what a win.

Next Anderson McGinley vs Sergey Kharinov This one what can I say Kharinov should have just hit McGinley in the body. As soon as he cut McGinley it was over! McGinley got mad Kharinov looked like he was swinging at air and McGinley Knocked him out at 2:25 of the first round. Do not make McGinley mad he showed that Mayweather looks like Butterbean next to him. He answered all the questions tonight!

Zeca Jackson vs Kesuke Miyagi This one wow I thought it was going to be clinch fest 2012. It didn’t go to the clinch once. Round one Miyagi the bully took it to the ground and worked hard for a submission win, Mind Freak Jackson escaped that round barley. Not wanting anymore of that game in the next two rounds kicked the leg out from under Miyagi preventing the takedown. Jab here head and body kick there but those leg kicks sealed the deal in the last two rounds. Miyagi had to be helped from the cage. What a decision win.

Co-Main event Pierre Silverhielm vs Colin Burton

This was a fight I was suspect about, I wasn't sure who would win this one. Through the whole fight Burton landed some good shots bit there wasn't enough power to phase Silverhielm. Burton realizing his punches weren't doing anything he moved to the clinch, o thought he was going to fish with knees to the face but Silverhielm got out in time. Silverhielm noticed that he didn't have to fear Burton's fists and waited landed at will and waited for a moment of glory. At 2:38 of the third round that moment came and he finished the fight in a convincing manner. Silverhielm got a little political in his after fight speech but to each his own.

Now the main event Spar Sparman vs Bobrisio Herdum.

This was not the fight I expected at all I thought these two were going to bang and the last man standing wins. Herdume just had to much respect for Sparman he just circled and through a few punches here and there but just waited to long and in a heavyweight fight you just can't do that and against Sparman it don't work. What did I say about Sparman he through punch after punch and landed maybe half but he still through a lot. What a finish 2 round at 2:25 the punches finally added up and it was over. Sparman at the end of the fight was exhausted while he thanked his sponsors. This was a mainevent. Be ready for the next fight coming up and look for Sparman to get a title shot soon.
