Guest
O.R.G. Bantam Weight (135lbs) Muay Thai Championship London Original Revelation Generation, in London, is proud to bring you the Bantam Weight Muay Thai Championships. This competition has been created because of the fact that Muay Thai at the moment is considered to be the most difficult of the four primary fighting styles to train. Thus to allow a greater influx of Muay Thai Specialist, Original Revelation Generation has called on all managers to create a new 135lbs Muay Thai specialist fighter. This competition will also allow a strong base for a fighter after the tournament because Muay Thai will already be well established. The style of Muay Thai allows for a large amount of diverse fighting, a fighter can favour kicking over punching. A fighter can also prefer to use knees over elbows. This competition will allow one to put your clinch work skills to the test as well. To restrict fighters to Muay Thai only there have to be a few rules. General Rules: 18 years old 4 weeks to train Must be able to cut to 135lbs Must be based in London On creation: A fighter will not be allowed to have any boxing skill above useless. Obviously it would be to your advantage to put the majority of points towards Muay Thai. The remainder of points can be put anywhere except into boxing. Slider Settings: General 100% follow my orders 100% stick to game plan 100% Dont follow knockdown. Standup 100% Stay Standing Clinch work 100% Muay Thai 100% Stay standing Ground 100% Counter 100% Control 100% Get up 100% Advance Pos Creation date will be sent to managers as soon as 16 fighter slots have been filled. Tournament Style: 4 groups of 4 fighters will be created. Each fighter will have 3 fights. The two top ranked fighters in each group will then go through to the quarterfinals. Then onto the semi finals and final. What happens once your fighter has been knocked out? Fighters who have been knocked out of the competition will still be allowed to fight other fighters who have been knocked out as well. Thus all fighters at the end of competition will have a ranking out of 16. Fights will be held every two weeks. A total number of fights for the competition for every fighter will then be 6 fights. Prize Money: Still to be confirmed but in the region of 20,000 for the champion as well as a lucrative contract. Prize money tapers down from that for 2nd and 3rd placed fighters. All fighters will be offered a contract after the competition. Sponsors: Predator Clothing has agreed to throw in a cash prize to the top 3 fighters. Freebies from Predator Clothing is also a possibility. Blood Sport Nutrition has offered a 5k cash bonus to the winner and 2 supplements to each of the 4 managers that make it through to the semi-finals. KO bonuses by Private Training 101 as shown in the post below. PitBull Pro Fight Food has offered to supply each contestant with supplements for the duration of the tournament. Free training from Darko Gym for the duration of the tournament, as well as the four crucial weeks before the first fight. As well as cash prizes for the top 3 fighters Managers Signed up. 1. Guest
I think this is a great idea and urge people to sign up. My boxing tournament is doing well so I don't see why this wouldn't be a success. Good luck with this.
Guest
The only question I have.........why no boxing???? Boxing is part of Muay Thai. Not only that but Boxing becomes Abysmal with decent a clinch secondary.

Not only that but Boxing becomes Abysmal with decent a clinch secondary. I've said no boxing skill at creation. This then forces the fighters to maximise their Muay Thai. In the 4 weeks of training and throughout the competition a fighter could increase his boxing skills. It's just a restriction in terms of creation, not a restriction to the actual fighting and tactics. Does this make sense?

Guest
Yep, guess I missed that part. If you guys have any suggestions or your worried about a specific aspect of the tournament post in on here. If other managers feel the same way then I'm more than willing to change up the rules if everyone involved agrees.
Guest
The only question I have.........why no boxing???? Boxing is part of Muay Thai. Not only that but Boxing becomes Abysmal with decent a clinch secondary. Back when Scott Coker was hustling MT fights on ESPN2, there was some fantastic match between two gents I will describe as "Actual MT Guy" and "Boston Dude". The commentators gave their periodic rundown of the basics for the viewers as these two were being announced, importantly noting that a KO wins the fight, however, sans stoppage, judges would score competitors on their use of proper MT technique, of which punches were not a part. Boston Dude took a couple hits to the gut but otherwise spent the entire time punching the hopeful Actual MT Guy in various parts of the face. Actual MT Guy didn't appear to comprehend the fact that he was standing upright, or even be able to see anymore with all the swelling in his face, but was able to keep from falling over, with his hand raised by the ref at the end of it; Boston Dude could do nothing but hang his head low, shaking it in some aggregate of self-chastisement and disbelief. Not really addressing your question; it was just a really remarkble sportfight.
