GangstaBob
It doesn't say in the Wiki page so I'll ask here. How much training does it take to go up belt colors?
jjsquirrel
It is based right off the BJJ primary skill value, like this: White (0-24.99)Blue (25-64.99)Purple (65-99.99)Brown (100-129.99)Black (130-145.99)Red (146-150) So depends directly on how fast you manage to train that on your guy - which depends on age, learning speed and existing skill level.
Pembo
Would your belt be averaged over tranistions, sub offence and escape? or just sub offence?
actionjackson
It's not based on an average it's based on the primary BJJ value which in turn effects those secondaries if I'm understanding correctly what your asking.
actionjackson
You train that value thorough sparring primarily and training secondaries also have some effect.

alcapone
is it easier to hit submissions from 12 to 15 when BJJ is 15 than, lets say 13 ?
actionjackson
is it easier to hit submissions from 12 to 15 when BJJ is 15 than, lets say 13 ? I don't believe a fighters primary value affects the speed of training secondaries but it does affect the effectiveness of say submissions during a fight.
