I get interested in the betting aspect of this because it allows me to make predictions and is fun to do. I'm not really a smack talker, especially with games. I think the predictions for Group A are pretty solid and I'd agree with them. I think Group B is where things get messy and there are several fighters who are overestimated in that group. I think it would be a struggle for Okino, Dupont, Cruz or Dobson to do well in this group due to the amount of grapplers they have to contend with. Dupont doesn't look to be strong against BJJ guys. For Okino and Cruz, it will likely come down to whether they can secure top position in their fights. Dobson is a clinch fighter who will have to be worried about people pulling guard. He also performed poorly against Regis and Okino.
Victor Slaughter is probably the best bet for Group B's winner, but Group B is a mess and it is very much up in the air. With Group A I see Daniel Bradshaw doing better than predicted. I wouldn't be surprised if Alan Odrobny secures second place, but we'll quickly find out based on how he does against Camara. I unfortunately don't have much to contribute to forum threads, but I do find the tournament very compelling.
