JeffUrbz
I'm just starting to get back into the game. I've been making Chuck Liddell types as I've had success with them many years ago but have forgotten some things. If I have useless muay thai, can my fighter still do damage in the clinch with boxing? Can I still dirty box even though I have no muay thai and great boxing? Does clinchwork play a factor? I've been searching on here for answers but none that directly ask this question. Can I still dirty box with no muay thai or should I just get the hell out of there? I've had MT builds who got raped by a Fighter who has Respectable Boxing and wonderful wrestling. Based on my experience and other managers have told me. Strength, Clinchwork and Wrestling(for Control) matters the most.

Bwang
Just boxing is ok. Probably wrestling is the #1 clinch primary, and then boxing and then MT. You’ll be fine, go for it.
igorspb77
Does MT really matter less at clinch than boxing? Strange that 12 MT and 7 Wrest is the go to for Clinch Rapist and from what Ive see works out pretty well, but boxing instead the Muay Thai would be better? Really tought that MT was more important than boxing for that.

My take is that boxing effects punching more so therefore better for punching in the clinch, knees and elbows would be the opposite and MT would rule there. Bwang
7,1,12 or 12,1,7 would be better than 1,12,7 if the secondaries were just punches clinch and str def. (And you wanna be a clinch fighter). The 12 MT would help obviously with kicks, or elbows and knees as Action said.
Shortstacker
I had no idea wrestling was so important in the clinch... That's wild.
