These are based on P4P and W/C rankings, past performance, and hype+pop. In order to be rated you must have fought at least once in this organization.

A word on Title Fights. I do NOT give title fights to fighters that have not fought here. I do NOT give title fights to fighters coming off of losses unless that fighter is the former champion and there is not a better candidate for the number one contender spot. I believe that the fighters fighting under this banner deserve the title fights before anyone from outside of this org does.

  1. Provided that Ion Pascu is willing to stay on with RISE then that will be a fight I would promote.
  2. We will get you someone in the top five soon.
  3. After careful consideration, I have conceded that, that would be a good fight to promote.

All I ask is that you be patient as we will be very busy for the next few days getting things sorted with this org. We will probably start booking fights in the next few days and they will be set for at least three weeks out to give people the opportunity to train for their opponents.

An Interview with prospect Arlo Flower Power Rochester

0 -0

19 Years Old

Height: 6 2

Fights at 170

Hometown: Wichita, KS

Fighting Out of: Los Angeles

Signed to: RISE

Q. So Arlo, how did you get into fighting?

A: I took Karate when I was younger, against my parents wishes. My parents are complete hippies, and never wanted me to get into fighting. I stopped Karate, but MMA was something I was still incredibly interested in. While taking the summer off of baseball, I decided id take up Jiu Jitsu. That was a couple summers ago. Everything falls into place, and I ended up competing in my first professional fight a week ago.

Q. Did you inherit any of that Hippie BS from your parents?

A. For sure. Im really into yoga, and so I train it often. Im also really into meditation. Im vegetarian, which really helps make 155 even though Im 62. Ive delved into other hippie traditions as well. Lets just say that I had a nickname I liked better, but it was already taken by Nick Diaz during his Strikeforce days.

Q. A lot of people have compared you to the Diaz brothers.

A. Theyre definitely my idols, I watched them all the time growing up. I think I have a similar build, and my cardio is one of my strengths. I dont have knock out power, but just like the diaz bros, I focus on volume instead of power.

Q. So youre from Kansas. How was the move to LA?

Its not at all what I imagined. I wasnt expecting this many people. It takes so much longer to get everywhere. It has been an adjustment. That being said, I think the move out to LA was a great career move. Im currently training at 11th Planet Jiu Jitsu. Ive been spending a lot of time with 4x Kansas state wrestling Champ Jared Morgan. I recently signed with RISE, a company that im really Excited to be a part of.

Q. What do you hope to get out of your fighting career?

A. I think something that Im always chasing is respect. Im the same way in baseball. I want people to respect my abilities, and respect my presence as an athlete. Im not the biggest guy in the cage, but I know I have the most heart.

Q. Do you think your baseball career will get in the way of your MMA career?

A. Well see how it goes. Baseball has been a lifelong passion of mine, but realistically, the average professional career is 3 years. I expect to be done playing by the time im 24. After that, I can fully commit to MMA. That ebing said, I think the baseball experience has helped my fight game. Ive developed strong legs and a mean right hook, both from baseball. So Im excited to see how that will translate to full time MMA.

we currently are in a holding pattern until the first card RFL-44 goes off. Once that happens there will be a flurry of fight offers being sent out. Victor Creed and many others will likely be getting fight offers. For the past three weeks we have been recruiting heavily and it is, slowly but surely, paying off. The title holders will all be fighting again real soon also. Expect at least two of them to be on the RFL-47 card. More to follow.

Co-Main Event

Von Kaiser Vs Andrew Conford

Natural weight: 185lbs Natural weight: 200lbs

Age: 27 Age: 27

Record: 7-1-0 Record: 6-3-0

Country: Germany Country: UK

Rank:N/A Rank: N/A

Height: 172 cm Height: 190 cm

This should be a good one we've got here. Von Kaiser is arguably the number one contender in this division while Andrew Conford is a couple spots back. This will be the first fight for both men under the RISE organization. Who will come out victorious in their debut?

Kaiser coming into this fight is probably a more well known name than even the champ Carmelo Anthony with a lot of hype behind the former Torcida champ. He's riding off a 3 fight win streak all coming by stoppage. He's got good technical boxing with an accomplished wrestling background and he's exciting to watch as 6 of his 7 wins have come from knockout.

Conford is coming off a loss but he's looking to build up some momentum with a win over Kaiser here. Conford has much of the same style of fighting as Kaiser as he's a little more of an accomplished wrestler. Conford the bigger man by a solid 18 cm should have the reach advantage which he's going to look to use to continue his 100% KO rate.

"Magic" Mike Sadollah Vs Jake "Knee Machine" Baldwin

Natural weight: 137 lbs Natural weight: 145 lbs

Age: 28 Age: 25

Record: 10-2-0 Record: 1-0-0

Country: Canada Country: New Zealand

Rank: 2 Rank: Unranked

Height: 165 cm Height: 160 cm

The former 135 lbs. champ Magic Mike Sadollah is looking to rebound from losing his title as he moves up to the 145 lbs division to take on an up and coming prospect in Jake Baldwin.

Sadollah is a high level Muay Thai practitioner which solid wrestling which he uses to avoid bringing the fight to the ground. He's going to have to show off those wrestling skills as he does not want to be grappling with Baldwin. He's got a granite chin which is going to put to the test against the bigger Baldwin.

Jake Baldwin's got one professional fight to his name and he won that in an easy decision. He's a solid thai boxer himself but his strongest weapon are his deadly knee strikes as his nickname "Knee Machine" implies. Where Sadollah uses strong wrestling to keep the fight on the feet, Baldwin's a blue belt in jiujitsu and is not afraid when he finds himself on the ground. How he's going to get there against Sadollah is a different question.

With the big experience advantage Sadollah has will it be enough for a successful debut in the RISE 145 lb division for Sadollah or will the relatively unknown Baldwin come up with a surprise for the viewers?
