Guest
Gotta be one of the best cards I've seen in a while, not by all the fights overall, but for basically giving me one of the best five rounders I've seen this year. Miguel Torres came in a huge favorite and I believe if it was a 3 round fight, he'd have lost the belt, Takeya Mizugaki went into his clinch multiple times, went toe to toe with him throughout the whole fight and after each one looked like hell, I can't explain in words how great the fight was, classic classic standup fight, like a five rounder of the Jardine Rampage fight really. Jeff Curran and Joseph Benavidez also did very impressive tonight.
Guest
Agreed, awesome night of fights and I gave Mizugaki the first two rounds. Mir's excessive nutthugging of Torres and Curran was a little much though, and by the third round of Torres vs Mizugaki I just couldn't take it anymore and had to push the volume all the way down. Tough luck for Bart again. It seemed like the WEC was ready to give him a title shot, but at this rate he just might very well be out of the WEC. Guest
Agreed, Mir's got sound commentating when stating facts but theres an obvious bias, you saw Torres getting into a defensive position after Mizugaki throwing great leather and he had the sheer cojognes to say Torres had the advantage, I love Mir as a fighter but it got a bit ridiculous. Yeah, you can tell Barts not at the losing end of his career, he's just to nervous about his chin, you see him setting himself up for the leg, but it seems like he psyches himself out in the fight, really cautious. The verdicts still out on Bart in my opinion, maybe they'll pull him on undercard to give him some leverage. In my mind and thats one that hasn't seen much of Brian Bowles, I don't expect him giving Torres any trouble after seeing Mizugaki fight him, I think Torres is just dominating the division and if the hype is true about him moving to featherweight like he said, more sharks in the water for Brown. MMATycoon
I'm watching now and the commentary is painfully biassed.
