We are LIVE from Montreal, Canada with Quebec's young up and coming fighter Lance St. Pierre! Good to have ya Lance, how's it going buddy?

"It's going. Training hard, doin my thing. I'm ready to fight man."

I bet you are.. you've really taken Combat Pro FC by storm lately, going 3-0 in the organization and your next fight is for Combat Pro FC's Welterweight Title. His opponent Mike Jones is coming off his first round destruction of Scott Sanford. What are your thoughts?

"Haha yea I'm pretty sure everybody favored Sanford to win that fight. I got to watch it, Mike came out there and caught him. He did his thing, he won."

Yeah he did his thing, and you've been doing yours since you're debut. Out of your 5 professional fights, none of your opponents have made it out of round 1. Is it safe to say this fight isn't going to make it out of the first round?

"No. It's not haha why would you say that. Hell I hope not, I've been training my ass off for a 5 round fight."

Stats are facts and you haven't been out of the first round. Think you will go to round 2?

"I don't know and I don't care. We can go 3 rounds, 5 rounds, 10 rounds. I'm not gonna overlook Mike Jones. My eyes are on the prize and that's the WW title. I'm ready. If Mike's not he's gonna wake up to a reality check."

You've cleared out the top of a thin welterweight division. If you beat Mike Jones, what are your plans for the future?

"Ask Johnny man ha I'm just a fighter. I sign the bottom of the paper saying that I agree to show up on this date at this weight and fight this or that guy. He writes my check, I fight whoever he wants me to."

We'll call him up later, you wanna tell us the story behind you almost missing your contract deadline to accept the title fight? All that hard work and you almost missed out on your chance to compete for the first WW title ever in Combat Pro FC, on a chance at making history, there has to be a story behind it?

"Wish I had one. There really isn't. After my last fight we went out and partied like usual and I didn't hear from him til about a week ago, good thing I wasn't taking any time off."

We... him... who Johnny?

"Nah man. My manager, Chris, Chris Karter. He's a good guy haha. Long story short he got caught up in business in Miami and just never checked his email or whatever. As soon as he got back he faxed me the contract and I guess he talked to Johnny. Got the deal done."

Okay... that's good news, glad to hear that. So you're telling me you don't have any fighters in mind?

"Well, there's Octavio."

You mean 3-0 Octavio Paixao who is coming off a 1st round KO victory over Asharak Black? The Octavio who would of have replaced you as a contender to the title?

"I don't know how many more Octavio's there are in Montreal haha so yeah him. It seems like the only logical match up for the organization at this point. Regardless if I win or lose he's still gonna be undefeated. He's very good and I look forward to fighting him in the future. Speakin of which, I need to get back into the gym man it's been fun."

No problem it was good having you. I'm sure you have a lot of training to do, the big day is July 26th, tune in to see Combat Pro FC History take place, crowning 4 champions, in 1 night! Gonna be a helluva show and Lance "Storm" St Pierre will be facing off against Mike Jones for the WW title. Don't miss it folks!

Local Reporter interview with 5-0 fighter Lance "Storm" St Pierre and his upcoming title fight with Mike Jones on July 26th at Combat Pro FC's IV:Title Road-Glory

How did you feel about getting a shot at the title so quickly?

I think there was some kind of tournament bracket, I didn't really pay any attention I just signed the contract and fought whoever showed up across the cage from me on fight night. But I guess you can say I was happy.

Is there anyone you would never fight?

Nah chill. If David took down Goliath I'm sure I could take out some of these heavyweights.

After facing three tough guys (Asharak Black, Eric Gracie and Noel Rodney), you now have this shot at the title. Would you rather do a few more fights and better adapt to the event?

When I joined Combat Pro FC my first goal was to become champion. I now have that oppurtunity, I'm greatful for that and I plan on takin advantage of it.

For the first time in the organization the welterweight title is on the line. How important is that?

The one who decided whether the fight is for the belt was Johnny Sep. I respect his decision, the fans want to see champions and he's crowning them that at this event. There's 4 belts on the line. I'm glad to be apart of it.

What do you think of Mike Jones?

Mike is a well rounded fighter. He knocked out a tough guy in Scott Sanford. I repect him, but I'm training hard to come home with the win and the belt.

Would you like to send a message out to your fans?

It'll be a great fight. I'm gonna send a message out to the welterweight division.

Post conference interview with 5-1 fighter Lance "Storm" St Pierre after his title fight loss to Mike Jones at Combat Pro FC's IV: Title Road-Glory

This is your first loss in your career, it has to be disappointing?

Of course. I just didn't come 100%.. it happens. I'll bounce back, get over it, and hopefully I'll get the chance to fight him again.

It looked like you had control of things half way through the round, what happened?

I thought I could lock his ankle up, so I went for it. I had it I was expecting him to tap and he got out of it. I thought he would stand and exchange with me a lil bit more but he was trying to keep the fight on the ground so I tried to stay active and catch him in a submission, it didn't work.

This loss has to be bothering you, what are you gonna do to bounce back?

Go out and party tonight hell what else can I do, my face is still pretty. He just caught me slipping and he got my back, choked me out. I'll learn from it and become a better fighter. Not taking anything away from Mike, good fight man you won congradulations let's go celebrate and get wasted tonight, but all he did was choke me out. You slip up let someone get your back, it's not that hard to get your arm around the neck and squeeze.

The first welterweight champion in Combat Pro FC is Mike Jones, coulda been you, how do you feel?

Great..... keep the belt warm for me. I'll be back in the gym, hope to get a fight soon so I can prove I'm better than I fought tonight.

Thoughts on a rematch?

Anytime, anywhere. I gotta go now, parties, bars, girls waiting. Hit me up Mike if you wanna get together in celebrate I'll be at Club 7 and I'll be hitting up Kingdom after a few drinks.

Funny Lance St Pierre video after destroying Mike Jones for the 2nd time via TKO(strikes) at the 2009 Tycoon Cup Round 1

We are here with one of Canada's favorite fighters and representatives, one of the nicest and most respectful young men you'd ever meet, Lance St Pierre. After-

"And the sexiest."

Excuse me?

"I was gonna go with handsomest, but I'm not even sure if that's correct in the english."

Okay.. After being rear naked choked by Mike Jones, you picked apart Mike Jones in your rematch in under two minutes capturing the Combat Pro Welterweight Title. That was your chance at revenge and you took it.

"Like candy from a baby."

The fans knew we were gonna see a trilogy and Mike Jones got his shot at revenge immediately, getting the chance to appear on the big stage at the 2009 Tycoon Cup, it was his time to shine but you had other plans... the bell rang and twenty ---

"-Twenty something seconds later bitch was knocked out."

Yeah.. 23 seconds later Lance St Pierre had his hand raised in victory and the Combat Pro title was still around his waist... wait.. Mike Jones.. wha.. bitch?

"Yes Tom, what about him?"

Uh, I'm sorry I was just unprepared... um.. I thought you had a mutual respect for him? Your previous interviews were held in such class... dignity.

"Sometimes with a face like this.. one like mine.. when you're speaking to the cameras and the fans, looking into the eyes of the children and reaching into their little hearts, you gotta say certain things Tom, the right things. Things that make people happy and give them a tingly warm sensation of self respect and class inside. This is not one of those times Tom, and Mike Jones was a whiny little bitch. A fucking loud mouth. Shrimp dick faggot. No balls. All lips. Honest to god he was a pussy fighter."

Wow..

"I know Tom, it surprised me too."

Outside the fortress that was Convicted Fight Club, were not just an increased amount of those typical "security guards" armed with AK-47 assault rifles, or a heavily populated crowd filled with fans, reporters, and the rest of the MMA media armed with pens and paper, microphones, and flashing cameras, but a gathering of more than recognizable faces in the Los Angeles MMA community. The people standing on the podium outside of the gyms doors consisted of Convicted Fight Club owner Chris Karter, Convicted clothing owner Tony Harris, and Konflikt owner Paul Bradley along with a handful of top Convicted fighters scattered around the crowd. Lance "The Storm" St Pierre was sitting in the middle of the podium ready to answer any and all questions at the live press conference. Chris was sitting over towards the "the managers table" with his brother Tony Harris and Konflikt owner Paul Bradley, ash tray and a big bottle of hennessy on the table top. He spoke into the microphone regulating the event as usual.

Chris Karter "One question at a time. All about St Pierre, we're not here to interview me so keep the questions directed and focused on him. Konflikt related questions and anything regarding Syn City acceptable."

Local Reporter "So Lance, you're coming off a loss to Carl Allen on Syn's first EVER PPV, how disappointed are you?"

Lance St Pierre "It's tough. Very tough.. but there's nothing I can do now, it's in the past so I'll get over it, move on, and become a better fighter because of it."

Reporter Lady "The signing to Konflikt was a big shocker to the world. What lead you to make this decision?"

Lance St Pierre "Well it wasn't money haha... I've been talking to Chris, working things out. He's been doing most of the talking with Paul to be honest. We had a big long talk about it, I wanted to move to Los Angeles for awhile now, it all worked out in the end."

Sherdog Reporter "Is it true you and Combat Pro FC owner had an arguement, and you opted not to return to Canada even though had given your word prior to being released to go fight on Syn '60s PPV card?"

Lance St Pierre "Nah I don't know man, I mean I guess you could that. I didn't expect to not be with Combat Pro FC right now? I thought I'd be there for life."

Sherdog Reporter "So what did you argue about? And why did you break your promise?"

Lance St Pierre "We didn't argue. I never talked to him about it, which is why it was such a big surprise. I was disappointed that I wasn't on Combat Pro FC's first ever PPV, but I don't hold it against him. Been a pleasure to work with Johnny, everything has been great - nothing really 'went wrong'. I'm greatful for the opportunity I had to represent Combat Pro FC at Syn. Things just didn't go my way, now it's time to turn my career around you know? It starts in Los Angeles, at Konflikt: Convicted."

International Reporter "This could really hurt your P4P ranking, and take you out of picture when we talk about the top welterweights in the world, you aware of this?"

Lance St Pierre "I'm young, I'm 18 years old, I'm not one of the best welterweights in the world yet, I'm sick of hearin' it. People had me convinced, really for awhile I was walkin' around like I was the shit, the top welterweight in the world. I have A LOT of work to do, and I'm not gonna let nobody tell me different. Chris knows it, I know it, don't need anybody elses opinion."

Reporter Lady "So when you say it starts at Konflikt: Convicted - are you confirming a fight?"

Lance St Pierre "Yeah you can say that. People are comin' out saying I'm overrated, I didn't deserve the shot I was given, I'm gonna prove one of those people doubting me wrong."

Local Reporter "Tyler Durden has been very vocal about your arrival here, that you don't deserve an immediate title shot because he would submit you in the first round, what are your thoughts on this?"

Lance St Pierre "Whatever makes him sleep better at night, we'll find out at Konflikt: Convicted."

International Reporter "Are you confirming the fight?"

Lance St Pierre "I'd like to think so? You know I answered that question already? - and I signed the contract - guess we'll see if he accepts. I don't know why he wanted this fight so bad, but I'll show up at 100% and if he don't he'll be the one who won't make it out the first round."

Reporter Lady "Out of your 11 fights, you've NEVER been out the first round, win or lose, what should we expect?"

Lance St Pierre "Expect fireworks. I've beaten brown belts before, I don't know what makes him so special. I know juijitsu, I know how to wrestle, does he know how to box? He better or he's gonna get knocked out tryin' to take me to the ground."

Sherdog Reporter "So do you think vacating the Combat Pro FC Welterweight title was worth coming to Konflikt?"

Lance St Pierre "Hahaha.. man you can't be serious? Yeah.. yeah of course absolutely. I believe it is. Chris thinks it is.. I'm 100% confident that this is in the best interest of my career."

Local Reporter "Are you looking ahead at a title fight verse Nate Holyfield?"

Lance St Pierre "I'm not lookin' forward to anything but proving that it's gonna take more than a brown belt to beat me. Look, it's been fun, expect big things at Konflikt, right now this is my new home. I'm glad to be livin' in Los Angeles, but I got a ton of new shit I gotta move in my new place. So it's been a pleasure talkin' to yall but I gotta go for now."

April Watson, a young local female reporter, caught up with Lance St Pierre after an intense training session at Convicted Fight Club.

April "Soooo Lance... Tyler Durden issued a public apology today for interupting the press conference."

Lance St Pierre nodded his head up and down then drank his triple XXX vitamin water.

Lance "Mmmm triple antioxidants.."

A confused smile on the reporters face.

Lance"Sorry haha I get paid for that..."

April "Hehe it's okay, back to the question..."

Lance "And?"

April "Wellll........ do you accept his apology?"

Lance "Sure why not? I understand what he's doing, and why he's doin' it."

April "Care to elaborate?"

Lance "It's not easy.. well being a fighter is, you either are or your not. Pretty simple. But to choose fighting as your career, it's not easy. It becomes more than just fighting. It's your job, a full time job. You put a lot of work in, lots of hours. I don't blame him for getting emotional, nobody in that division wants to see me get an immediate title shot. They don't think I deserve it.. hell I don't think I deserve it, I'm comin' off a loss. Sure I was Combat Pro FC's welterweight champion.. but what have I done in america? Not much. I got caught in an armbar late in the first round, on pay per view - that's a pretty humbling and eye opening experience. There was no way in hell Carl Allen was gonna beat me, I knew I was gonna win. Well... things didn't turn out that way. So now a lot of people, fighters and fans, are gonna question my ability, that happens. I accept it as it is and use it as motivation when I'm trainin'."

April "So what exactly were you saying Tyler was doing?"

Lance "It's hard to prove yourself, everybody wants to do it - and they have to do it before they get any respect. When I joined Konflikt people immedietly thought 'title shot' so I'm sure I pissed off a lot of fighters in the division - especially Tyler. You gotta do what you gotta do to promote yourself, get your name out there, make enough money to pay bills, feed your family, keep food on the table. I know he lost to Nate, he wants revenge, hell he prolly dreams about it at night... and he saw me signin' here as something that was getting in the way of something he wanted, and hell maybe he saw me lose on PPV and thinks he can beat me."

April "Are you looking forward to proving yourself to Tyler?"

Lance "Yeah, very much so... and the rest of the 170 pound division. It's gonna take more than a belt color to beat me."

April "If you beat Tyler Durden at Konflikt: Convicted... we should expect a title shot?"

Lance "I want the belt, but it's just a small achievement. I want to be one of the best fighters in the world and I have a long way to go so for now I'm out to prove I'm the best fighter at Konflikt. If I got to fight 2 or 3 people before I get my shot at Nate, that's fine with me. I'll do whatever it takes to prove I'm one of the best fighters in the world and that this signing was more than just a publicity stunt."

April "Well good luck Lance, I'll be rooting for you ;) thanks for your time."
