Preview : UFC - New Chapter : Choe vs. Mamrou 170 lbs Title Fight

Under new ownership. JDCruz Lakay, has renamed the org Unleash Fighting Championship and the first event under him takes place may 10th in Tokyo at Hayashis Lounge. Lets take a look at the event.

Ed La Crotch Fazio (1-2) vs. Toyoki TK Kawamura (1-1) 205lbs

Fazio sports a well-rounded skill set with his wrestling being his strength and a blue belt to boot. He can stand but against a white belt in Kawamura I expect Fazio to use his wrestling to get him down. Kawamura is a Muay Thai expert but very little other skills. It is feasible that Kawamura get a clinch or finds his range but the safe bet is to assume Fazio will out-grapple for the victory whether by a sub or ground and pound I expect a finish.

Big Boss (1-1) vs. Yuri Karate Kid Nakamoto (1-1) 185lbs

Big Boss has strong wrestling and a blue belt, and little other skills. Nakamoto has strong Muay Thai and a blue belt. He also has understanding of wrestling but it is likely Boss has the advantage grappling. Another factor to consider is the fact Nakamoto has very low levels of energy at the moment, barring a flash KO he wont last long against the ground attack of Boss. My vote is Boss by ground and pound or submission early in the fight.

The Dominator Vinny Tamaso (2-1) vs. Sinuhe Shithead Wali (2-1) 265lbs

Tamaso is a very promising young fighter, with a well rounded skill set and boxing being his biggest strength and he is only 19. I see future champ for this kid. Wali, is the same age, but being much less well rounded. He is a stand up expert with a Muay Thai base. I expect both guys to keep this standing with Wali getting a clinch early but Tamaso will break out and box his way to a victory.

Tournament Winner (2-0) vs. Anti Hero (2-1) 155lbs

Winner is a well rounded individual but is likely looking to sprawl and brawl here against Hero who holds a purple belt and a very strong wrestling game. It is likely that Hero will be able to ground Winner but I think Winners defence and well-roundedness will be the key as he will pick up a late stoppage with his superior striking.

LeRob Jinks (2-0) vs. Joe Black (1-0) 170lbs

Someone will lose their unblemished record here, and I believe that person to be Jinks and I will tell you why. Jinks although well rounded, does not stick out in any one area of the fight game. Black, however, has great takedown defence and boxing. He is very predictable but I think Jinks will have a hard time working his way around Blacks offence. Black for the W.

"Erfiður" Ragnhildur Haraldsson (5-0) vs. Delphino "The Slippery Dolphin" Atlantis (4-1) 155lbs

Haraldsson, has a very good record for such a young age and some of the credit must go to his manager for game planning him so well. He excels in no specific area but holds 4 stoppages 2 via sub 2 via (T)KO. So look no further for his well roundedness. Atlantis, a brown belt in BJJ also has respectable wrestling chops so one could assume he grounds his opponent and subs him out. I will be taking the BJJ specialist in this one to put a dent in Haraldssons clean record.

Okrim Anzati Rimdor (2-2) vs. Jadaveon Hall (3-1) 170lbs

Rimdor is a sprawl and brawl fighter, he lives and dies by the sword as he has 2 KOs and has been KOed twice. He is also low on energy which could play an important part in this fight. Hall, another boxer with wrestling chops, has 3 (T)KOs on his record. It is likely neither man takes it to the ground and im taking the more durable Hall in this battle of boxers by KO

Major Major Major (3-1-1) vs. Itsu The Blade Hitigaki (4-4) 170lbs

Morale is very low for both men here. Major will likely want this fight on the ground so he can use ground and pound or pull off a sub using his purple belt. Hitigaki has shown submission defence weakness before being subbed twice already. I have Major by sub.

Takamura The Slayer Mamrou (5-2)vs. David The Facebook F***er Choe (6-0) 170lbs Title Fight

Mamrou, good boxing and good wrestling has led to 5 victories, 3 by way of (T)KO finds himself matched up against the defending champion, Choe. Choe is undefeated and his clinch game and his submissions have helped him win the title. I fully expect him to defend it in this matchup, either by decision or by submission.

Paul The Slavic Slave Smith (19-8) vs. Blitzkreig Helmut Doerner (15-19) 135lbs

Smith is a very well rounded individual and most likely the best fighter on the roster, he holds a black belt with very good boxing and he isnt too shabby at wrestling and Muay Thai. Doerner has a losing record, but sports a black belt and good wrestling but Smiths will be better. Having been knocked out 9 times before Doerner may find himself asking why he took this matchup as I fully expect Smith to steamroll him here.

Thats all from me folks, be sure to catch the card to witness some fantastic MMA and the start of a new era for UFC

Review : UFC - New Chapter : Choe vs Mamrou 170 lbs Title Fight

UFC-Tokyo had its first event last night, and it was a pretty damn successful one, read on to see how the event unfolded.

Ed La Crotch Fazio vs. Toyoki TK Kawamura 205lbs

Kawamura had literally the worst game plan, he decided to take Fazio down, Fazio then took his time working a sweep and voila he hammered Kawamura until the ref pulled him off for the TKO win

Big Boss vs. Yuri Karate Kid Nakamoto 185lbs

Nakamoto secured the clinch early on but Boss pulled guard and pulled off a submission in 30 seconds, not really much to this fight.

The Dominator Vinny Tamaso vs. Sinuhe Shithead Wali 265lbs

Tamaso got a takedown after a brief striking exchange, he then patiently used ground and pound to open up a cut on Walli. Eventually the ref called in the doctor to look at the cut and the fight was called off.

Tournament Winner vs. Anti Hero 155lbs

Not the best fight ever but Hero got the job done. He was being outstriked but controlled the clinch and landed the takedowns that probably scored him the fight

LeRob Jinks vs. Joe Black 170lbs

Black decided he wanted to take the fight to the floor, after being stood up he wanted the floor again and that spelt his doom as Jinks reversed position and took Blacks back and picked up the W by rear naked choke.

"Erfiður" Ragnhildur Haraldsson vs. Delphino "The Slippery Dolphin" Atlantis 155lbs

Its safe to say that Atlantis was getting beate up on the feet, he tried literally nothing in the first2 minutes but then out of nowhere he secured a great double leg takedown and secured a tight armbar for he tap out victory.

Okrim Anzati Rimdor vs. Jadaveon Hall 170lbs

Rimdor was a punching bag for this fight, well he 21 seconds of this fight as Hall came out aggressively and punished Rimdor with strong strikes, Rimdor rushed in on Hall and took a Knee straight on the button. A clean KO win for Hall

Major Major Major vs. Itsu The Blade Hitigaki 170lbs

Major got the takedowns in each round and proceeded to not do very much but lay on top. He got the W though and thats all that matters.

Takamura The Slayer Mamrou vs. David The Facebook F***er Choe 170lbs Title Fight

Choe showed us all why he is the champion as he dominated in the clinch and then took the fight to the floor. He did this for 2 rounds then again in the third but saw an opening for a kimura and took it and cranked until Mamrou tapped, good win for Choe.

Paul The Slavic Slave Smith vs. Blitzkreig Helmut Doerner 135lbs

Smith did as was expected and battered Doerner. Eventually the beating got too much for Doerner and Smith showed no remorse and continued punching until the ref called him off and gave him a win via TKO

Preview : UFC - 001 Jay vs Butler

Going down on 17th May in Tokyo is UFC - 001 Jay vs Butler at Hayashi’s Lounge. Lets take a little look at what we can expect from this card.

Bobby “Beats” Brown (1-2) vs. “Gentle” Jack Byrne (3-0) 265lbs

Its hard to find an area where Brown excels, he has all round skills, but they aren’t exactly brilliant. He faces a similar opponent in Byrne, but Byrne has the all round skills to compete everywhere. Byrne excels at wrestling and will likely force Brown to carry his weight for 3 rounds and grabbing a UD.

Adlan Amagov (2-1) vs. Aiden “Angry” August (1-2) 170lbs

This will probably be a standing fight but Amagov will want to clinch up with August who is a superior boxer. Amagov has better Muay Thai and wrestling and has shown he knows how to use it in his 2 career wins. Im taking Amagov via decision.

"The Transman" Ellen Littlejohn Wilson Greenbaum Hagler (5-0) vs. "Croc Boy" Shintaro Nomo (4-0) 170lbs

One of these guys will lose their undefeated records. Hagler is a ground specialist with 3 career wins via submission its no secret what he would like to do. However Nomo is no joke as he has KOed two opponents and submitted the other two so he is no rollover. He is a superior wrestler and striker and will likely sprawl and brawl his way to a victory.

Matt Keelock (2-0) vs. Lord “The King” Susanoo (1-2) 185lbs

Keelock is a striker, he has 2 KO’s on his record and he showed truly devastating power. His weakness may be to get him to the floor where he has poor wrestling and he is unranked in BJJ. Susanoo has shown in his lone win he can pull of a submission but he is prone to the KO. I have a feeling Susanoo may be able to drag this to the floor and get a sub.

Shun “Rolling Thunder” Masaru (2-1) vs. King Typhaze (1-2) 185lbs

Masaru had competent stand up skills and a blue belt but nothing that really stands out. Typahze has amazing Muay Thai but very little else. If he can secure a clinch on Masaru he may be able to pummel his way to a win but I have a feeling Masaru guts it out and pulls of a decision or a submission.

Heishoro “Katana” Mitsuguri (3-0) vs. Matti Veijamo (2-1) 185lbs

Mitsuguri is a Muay Thai specialist with decent enough wrestling to keep himself upright. He has good head kicks and likely holds a psychological edge over Veijamo due to alreadt having a victory via decision over him. Veijamo is a boxing machine, and he is no slouch at Muay Thai. He lacks a ground game but Mitsuguri has shown to be better already and I expect him to pick up another win against Veijamo.

"台风" Roy Li-Taylor (4-1) vs. Chao "Chao Chao" Ming (3-0) 265lbs

Taylor is an all-round monster, holding very good skills in every facet of MMA. His only weakness may be his chin. It may very well be tested against Ming who himself is a knockout specialist who uses his boxing to win. He does not have the well roundedness of his opponent and I think that will be his downfall in this fight. Taylor by submission.

Dark Vengeance (3-1) vs. Buan Chaka(8-2) 205lbs

Vengeance’s strength is his Muay Thai where he can likely give a lot of people trouble with it including Chaka. Chaka is a very experienced submission artist with the wrestling chops to get him in the positions to do so. It comes down to clinch vs. ground and seeing as though Chaka has faced a wide variety of opponents and come out on top im taking him here for his 8th career submission.

John Mahoney (8-1) vs Trevor Reznick (5-1) 205lbs

Mahoney is an accomplished grappler with a brown belt and good wrestling as he has used those tools to rack up an impressive record. Against Reznick though, who likely has better wrestling and far superior striking skills Mahoney will have trouble getting this fight to the floor and Reznick will punish him standing up to pick up a TKO victory and move closer to a title shot that inevitably awaits him in his future.

Juicy Jay (10-0) vs. Nigel “Checkmate” Butler (3-0-1) 265lbs

The reigning 265lbs champ Jay is taking a non title fight here, he has used his impressive counter wrestling game along with wicked muay thai to go undefeated in his first 10 fights, with all 10 wins coming by (T)KO. Butler has the all round skills to trouble most people but against such a specialist such as Jay he will find trouble standing against him. I expect Butler to look to take this to the ground but Jay will do what he does best and score another win via KO.

Until next time,

Heishoro “Katana” Mitsuguri (3-0) vs. Matti Veijamo (2-1) 185lbs

Mitsuguri is a Muay Thai specialist with decent enough wrestling to keep himself upright. He has good head kicks and likely holds a psychological edge over Veijamo due to alreadt having a victory via decision over him. Veijamo is a boxing machine, and he is no slouch at Muay Thai. He lacks a ground game but Mitsuguri has shown to be better already and I expect him to pick up another win against Veijamo.

Aside from the misspelling of both his first and second name, I am delighted you believe Mitsurugi will get the win again. If he can do the same as last time, I expect a comfortable win, particularly since he has been training his clinch game even further.

UFC - 001Jay vs Butler Review

The 17th of May, Unleash FC entertained 1951 fans in attendance at Hayashi’s Lounge Tokyo, how did it unfold, read on. All of the fights were excellent and none went to the judges hands, it was a great night of MMA.

Adlan Amagov vs. Aiden “Angry” August 170lbs

August started off well, he landed the cleaner strikes while Amagov failed to do much damage. Amagov stuffed a few of Augusts takedowns and secured the clinch but failed to do much damage with it. He then broke the clinch and quickly secured it, keeping August guessing. August secured a good takedown. August then showed good accurate punches and elbow on the ground eventually forcing the ref to pull him off a beaten Amagov.

Result: August via TKO

Shun "Rolling Thunder" Masaru vs. King Typhaze 185 lbs

Typhaze was clearly winning the stand up, he managed to cut Masaru before foolishly getting a clinch, Masaru pulled guard and his superior ground game allowed him to get a nice triangle choke, it took him a while to secure it but eventually tightened it so Typhaze tapped out.

Result: Masaru via submission

Bobby “Beats” Brown vs. “Gentle” Jack Byrne 265lbs

Brown quickly got a clinch on Byrne, but boy was that a huge mistake as Byrne landed 99% of his stikes in the clinch, cutting Brown open and blood pouring all on the white floor. Punching, kneeing, elbowing eventually got too much for Brown and he succumbed to the vicious assault.

Result: Byrne via TKO

Heishiro "Katana" Mitsurugi vs. Matti Veijamo 185lbs

Now, I received some heat for my misspelling of Mitsurugi’s name previously so I will refer to him as Katana. Katana already had a win over Veijamo and I thought he would use the same tactics to win again. The only fight of the night to go more than 1 round and it wasn’t exactly thrilling. Katana effectively won the 1st round win good clinch control but likely gassing himself out with many missed knees to the body of Veijamo. Round 2 looked like it would be the same but late on Veijamo broke the clinch and hit a three punch combo that had Katana on wobbly legs and one punch and some ground and pound, the ref had seen enough. Veijamo got revenge for hus previous loss and possibly set up a rubber match down the line.

Result: Veijamo via TKO

Roy Li-Taylor vs. Chao “Chao Chao” Ming 265lbs

A very poor fight. Ming wanted to clinch which he did but did little once in the clinch, Li-Taylor then pulled guard and worked for two submission before finally locking up an armbar. NEXT!

Result: Li-Taylor via submission

Matt Keelock vs. Lord “The King” Susanoo 185lbs

Susanoo had a lot of trouble getting the fight to the floor and Keelock teed off on him. 1 minute in he rocked Susanoo badly and one huge punch later Susanoo was face down on the canvas. Great KO by Keelock.

Result: Keelock via KO

"The Transman" Ellen Littlejohn Wilson Greenbaum Hagler vs. "Croc Boy" Shintaro Nomo 170lbs

Hagler faked high and shot in low for a takedown around 30 seconds in and but Nomo proved too much on the ground as he switched for one submission to another eventually sweeping Haagler and getting a kimura for the W.

Result: Nomo via sub

Dark Vengeance vs. Buan Chaka 205lbs

Vengeance proved no match for Chaka as he got no offence in before Chaka got a takedown and went for submission after submission, almost out of energy Chaka managed to, on his 14th attempt, to get an armbar from top position.

Result: Chaka via submission

John Mahoney vs. Trevor Reznick 205lbs

Reznick bum rushed into the clinch and defended 6 takedown attempts while smashing Mahoney’s face with good punches, eventually forcing yet another stoppage for the referee.

Result: Reznick via TKO

Juicy Jay vs. Nigel “Checkmate” Butler 265 lbs

The main event was over before it began. Jay, the champion at 265lbs but not defending his belt, hit the legs and body of Butler with kicks, before going to the head with a flying knee knocking butler out cold in less than 30 seconds. Is there anyone that can stop Jay after his 11th win in 11 fights, all by KO?

Result: Jay via KO

UFC-Tokyo 002 Alexander vs. Johnson

Going down on the 24th of May is UFC-Tokyo 002, at Hayashi’s Lounge. MMA rules in a cage with a 10 point must scoring system, lets see if UFC can build on its early success.

Mateusz "Kouzi" Wiaz(1-2) vs. Hans Donnerwetter (1-2)

Both fighters have had trouble finding success early in their careers, but at 19 both guys can still grow and build on their records. Wiaz purple belt in BJJ and has some decent enough wrestling skills to get it to the floor. Donnerwater has shown he prefers to stand and uses good Muay Thai skills and has some decent counter wrestling but he may be susceptible to the punch. Luckily for him Wiaz is a ground guy and likely wont trouble him with boxing.

Prediction: Donnerwater via KO

Kevin Yang (0-2) vs. Sung “Soul Hunter” Shan (0-0)

Neither fighter really has any stand out skills as they take a well rounded approach to MMA. Shan has the more upside being 7 years younger but Yang likely has more up his sleeve. Shan will also need a lot of rest before Saturday as he has been looking very exhausted recently.

Prediction: Yang via (T)KO

Meguru Takayanagi(1-1) vs. Dominik "The Crusher" Kokoszka (1-1)

Takayanagi has a brown belt in BJJ and adequate wrestling skills and some fairly good boxing, but against Kokoszka, he will need to get it to the floor. Kokoszka, has some good counter wrestling, but the thing that stands out the most is his boxing. He could take on most men in a pure boxing contest with some of the best boxing in UFC-Tokyo.

Prediction: Kokoszka via KO

Papi Chulo (1-0) vs. Viktor "The Beast" Georlev (1-1)

Chulo is a fantastic wrestler but he prefers to use it in reverse to stay standing and use his ever improving boxing skills but has shown he’s willing to fight on the floor. Against a purple belt in Georlev, it would be unwise as Georlev’s only chance in this fight is to get it to the floor.

Prediction: Chulo via UD

Bruce "Leroy" Jenkins (2-0) vs. Joe Silva (1-0)

Silva’s win came in thanks from his wrestling as he got a takedown but he had massive trouble standing and in the clinch, Jenkins has very good striking skills and clinch skills. He may have trouble defending the takedowns but I expect him to use his blue belt to stand back up and get the W

Prediction: Jenkins via TKO

Tonio T Jr (3-1) vs. "The Jew" Meyer Lansky (4-1)

On paper this looks like a mismatch as Lansky holds every advantage apart from BJJ belts. Jr needs a takedown and a use his ground skills to win but Lansky will likely have a good game plan and use a sprawl and brawl tactics to win as he has shown devastating power.

Prediction: Lansky via KO

Josh "The Demon" Levan (3-3) vs. Adrian McMullen (3-1)

Levan is primarily a striker who likes to box. McMullen is a ground specialist, however McMullen seems to be battling severe depression as his morale is virtually non existent. Levan could make him crumble under heavy pressure and touch his chin a few times.

Prediction: Levan via KO

"Fearless" Frank Nicolosi (4-3) vs. Artur Bekoyan (7-2)

Nicolosi is a very well rounded 20 year old as his primary offensive weapon is his boxing. Bekoyan is a ground fighter through and through as he uses his wrestling to get guys to the floor and position himself for a submission. He has shown himself to be susceptible to strikes as both his losses he was beaten by strikes.

Prediction: Nicolosi via KO

"Satsujinsha" Jeffrey Miller (3-2) vs. Mickey Smith (4-1)

Miller is another 20 year old with a very promising skill set. His main strength is his Muay Thai but has a good enough all round game to hang anywhere. Smith is a ground fighter with an average stand up skill set but a very good ground game. I will go with my gut feeling on this one and choose the young gun.

Prediction: Miller via UD

Pete "The Fixer" Alexander (5-2) vs. William "Father" Johnson (7-0)

Alexander is a fantastic wrestler with a good submission arsenal and against Johnson he will need it. Johnson is the definition of lay and pray. He uses his wrestling to get them to the floor, hold them there then do nothing, the ref stands them up, rinse and repeat. It worked for him though so far but I think he will get caught late on once he has gassed himself out trying to hold onto the slick Alexander

Prediction: Alexander via submission

That’s all from me and remember to tune in to these fights to see how it all plays out and take to the forums to call out your opponents or me if you disagree

Until next time,

Michael “The Wolf” Brakeley

UFC-Tokyo 002 Alexander vs. Johnson

Mateusz "Kouzi" Wiaz(1-2) vs. Hans Donnerwetter (1-2)

Well, not much to say on this one, as Wiaz wasn’t doing all too much while Donnerwetter boxed him up. Then kablam, Donnerwetter threw a head kick that landed flush. That’s all she wrote.

Result: Donnerwater via KO

Kevin Yang (0-2) vs. Sung “Soul Hunter” Shan (0-0)

Yang was domintating, he was landing the takedowns, the better in the clinch and kept out of trouble on the floor, then one momentary lapse from Yang and Shan snatched up an arm and he had to tap

Result: Shan via submission

Meguru Takayanagi(1-1) vs. Dominik "The Crusher" Kokoszka (1-1)

Well, the first round was all Takayangi, he got the early takedown and worked for submissions but Kokoszka defended well but lost the round. Round 2 started and Kokoszka had a chip on his shoulder as he shrugged off the takedown attempts and opened up with his boxing and landed a straight left that had Takayanagi on the floor a few more follow up shots and its over

Result: Kokoszka via TKO

Papi Chulo (1-0) vs. Viktor "The Beast" Georlev (1-1)

Chulo wanted it on the floor, and he got it there, quickly. But he was no match on the ground as Georlov switched from triangle to armber and made him tap

Result: Georlov via submission

Bruce "Leroy" Jenkins (2-0) vs. Joe Silva (1-0)

Jenkins for the first round and most of the second with a good takedown game and ground control. Silva ended up on top in round 2 and dropped bombs on him until the ref stepped in

Result: Silva via TKO

Tonio T Jr (3-1) vs. "The Jew" Meyer Lansky (4-1)

Jr did nothing, literally look at it. In 47 seconds he was in defensive mode as Lansky worked him over with low kicks and punches. One kick up to and that turned the lights out for silva.

Result: Lansky via KO

Josh "The Demon" Levan (3-3) vs. Adrian McMullen (3-1)

McMullen got a takedown and did not stop searching for submissions until he got one, that one happened to be an Americana that forced Levan to tap.

Result: McMullen via submission

"Fearless" Frank Nicolosi (4-3) vs. Artur Bekoyan (7-2)

It didn’t take long for Nicolosi to tell Bekoyan who’s boss as he shut him down on his takedwons and landed punches in bunches eventually the ref had seen enough and called an end to the fight.

Result: Nicolosi via TKO

"Satsujinsha" Jeffrey Miller (3-2) vs. Mickey Smith (4-1)

The first fight of the night not to be a finish. Smith wanted this on the floor at all costs he landed a few but Miller proved too adept at defending and scoring points on the feet, it led him to a UD

Result: Miller via UD

Pete "The Fixer" Alexander (5-2) vs. William "Father" Johnson (7-0)

A ground fight if I ever saw one. Both guys had success with takedowns but it was Alexander who had the better BJJ as he controlled the action. Impressed with the defence of both guys though.

Result: Alexander via UD

Thanks for reading, take to the smack talk threads to give your views on the fights

Until next time,

UNFC – 003 Donkey vs Cortes Preview

Konnichiwa MMA Tycoon! This is Gonzasco, reporting live from Tokyo, Japan, in Hayashi’s Lounge for Unleash Fighting Championship – 003 Donkey vs Cortes. Our main event takes place in the featherweight division featuring two undefeated prospects in the nineteen year old Donald “Tusk” Donkey, battling fellow nineteen year old Ferdinand Cortes. Also, in our co-main event, we have the UNFC Tokyo 155 lb title on the line! Connall Chulainn will going to war against Delphino “The Slippery Dolphin” Atlantis. Now onto our first fight of the night.

In the 265 lb division we have (1-2) Polish fighter Jedrzej “Banan” Kowalski going up against (1-0) Pablo Town native, Pablo Out Jr. Where is Pablo Town, you might ask? Where ever Pablo damn well pleases! Kowalski is pretty much a badass in that he is extremely confident and has knock out power to boot. I do, however, expect this fight to go where ever Pablo damn well pleases.

Prediction: Pablo Out Jr by 1st Round Sub

More big boys hit the cage as we have (3-1) Kane Velasquez in a 265 lb scrap against (1-2) Sebastion “Silent” Kasprzyk. Kaspryzk had nothing to say leading up to his fight…I’m calling it right now. Fight of the night right here! This fight is so closely matched. I give a slight advantage to Velasquez being the older and more experienced fighter.

Prediction: Kane Velasquez by Decision

At 155 lbs our next bout is between two very different fighters. (0-2) Orange Joe is a drunk with a surprisingly good flow. (1-0) Xun Han Sun is an intelligent Chinese fighter and will have the age and reach advantage. I believe Joe’s rhymes and think he will, “bounce 'em round like bunnies”.

Prediction: Orange Joe by Decision

We have another heavyweight fight featuring (0-0) American fighter Andrew “Teddy” Roosevelt versus (1-0) Nicko Falicei from Brownwater, St. Lucia. Is Brownwater an actual place or just a racist joke? That is for you to decide. I have decided it is racist, but then again, so was early 1900’s American President Teddy Roosevelt, so I find no one at fault here.

Prediction: Nicko Falicei by 2nd Round TKO

Next up we have a welterweight battle with (2-1) Kuarangton Duankorai from Tokyo, Thailand…Yes, Tokyo, Thailand. Duankorai will be facing (1-0) Jet Lie from Monaco. Easy call here for KO of the night, as this is an evenly matched bout with both fighters having clear cut advantages.

Prediction: Jet Lie by 1st Round TKO

In the 205 lb division, our next fighters went back and forth in the Smacktalk Thread. (2-0) Korean fighter “Eastern Sun” Dong Uk will be facing (1-0) Rick Rampant from Monaco. Rampant holds a major wrestling advantage and had this to say about his opponent, “I will be your worst nightmare!”. Uk tried his best at English trash talk saying, “Lick Lampant is deadu!”. I actually manage the fighter Dong Uk and so I will not be posting a prediction for this one.

No Prediction

We have another 155 lb fight that pits (5-1) “Erfiður” Ragnhildur Haraldsson against (2-1) Tournament Winner. Haraldsson has a hell of a name and a hell of a game being handed his first loss at UFC – Choe vs. Mamrou. Winner has had all of his fights go to close decision. This is a good matchup and I expect another close decision win by Winner.

Prediction: Tournament Winner Winning by Decision Win!

Ladies and Gentleman, we have a show for you tonight. Saturday Night Grandpa Fight! At 135 pounds, (37-21-1) 38 Year Old “The Mick” Donnie O Brien will be playing bingo against, (33-22) 37 year old Gus “The Bus” Dengel. Dengel has a solid chin and even more solid skills. This fight is Dengel’s to lose.

Prediction: Gus Dengel 1st round by boring Grandpa story you’ve heard a bunch of times.

Finally, to our co-main event, five five-minute rounds, for our coveted 155 UNFC Title Belt! (2-0) Irish fighter, Conall Chulainn, is riding a two fight TKO win streak. I don’t know much about the guy, but I do know he is wearing a badass Darth Vader skin. (5-1) White guy from the Bahamas, Delphino “The Slippery Dolphin” Atlantis hopes to takedown and submit the more well rounded fighter in Chulainn. I made the mistake of looking up “The Slippery Dolphin” on urban dictionary and I would advise our viewers to do the same. I’m calling sub of the night tonight for Atlantis.

Prediction: Delphino Atlantis by 1st round sadomy.

The moment you’ve all been waiting for, the end of the preview! Our main event is at 145 lbs. A knockout artist from Zooland, Comoro, (5-0) Donald “Tusk” Donkey, is looking to break the granite jaw of (8-0) Ferdinand Cortes. Once again, I don’t know whether Zooland is an actual geographic location, or if it’s just a racist pun for the African fighter. Though, I do know that Donkey has the KO power to continue his perfect streak. A native of Madrid, Spain, the average fight time of Ferdinand Cortes’s last two fights is all of twenty five seconds. None of Cortes’s fights have gone the distance and I don’t expect this bout to go any differently.

Prediction: Cortes 3rd Round by Spanish Inquisition

UNFC – 003 Donkey vs Cortes Review

Konnichiwa, Severo Del Bosque here recapping a wild night from UNFC – 003 Donkey vs Cortes. Congratulations to everyone on the card for a great night of fights. We had no fights go to decision and a total of three 100% rated fights. If only we could all get trophies… but the fighter pay debate is for another day! Let us kick off the review with highlights from our first fight of the night.

265lbs

Pablo Out Jr vs Jedrzej “Banan” Kowalski

Words for the wise, Blue Belts should not take down Brown Belts but, like my High School love life, mistakes were made. Not to toot my own horn but, uh… “TOOT! TOOT! HONK HONK”. I got my first ever prediction…correct! Do I get a raise? Probably not, but Pablo Out Jr gets to take home a brand new arm.

Result: 0:38 of round 1 Submission (Armbar) Pablo Out Jr!

265 lbs

Kane Velasquez vs Sebastian “Silent” Kasprzyk

I called the fight but not the finish. Kasprzyk did a great job covering up on the ground, avoiding 11 out of 15 ground strikes. Once Velasquez got the mount though, Kasprzyk had a harder time defending himself. This one was a buzzer beater victory for Velasquez and a rough loss for Kaspryzk. I don’t think Kaspryzk should be betting on the Tycoon Lottery anytime soon.

Result: 4:59 of round 1 KO (Strikes) Kane Velasquez!

155 lbs

Orange Joe vs Xun Han Sun

Once again, I called the winner but not finish. Sun came out guns a’blazin throwing Dragon Ball Z style combos. Joe didn’t want any of it, and took Sun to the mat where he put on a ground and pound clinic. “The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself”, Will do! I don’t know what Joe said to Sun on the ground, but I suspect it was one of his famous rapper rhymes.

Result: 2:59 of round 1 TKO (Strikes) Orange Joe!

265 lbs

Nicko Falicei vs Andrew “Teddy” Roosevelt

Roosevelt spammed takedowns while Falicei was content to punch “Teddy” in the face. One thing that I took away from this fight is that Falicei is kind of a dick, “Roosevelt shoots in for a takedown.”Ole!" shouts Falicei as he jumps to the side”. Very classy Falicei.

Result: 1:19 of round 1 of KO (Punch) Nicko Falicei!

170 lbs

Kuarangton Duankorai vs Jet Lie

I predicted correctly the KO of the Night! Duankorai went full Bruce Lee, landing all of his kicks attempts, and winning by devastating head kick knockout, “He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Lie drops like a stone, out cold!”.

Result: 1:18 of round 1 KO (Head Kick) Kuarangton Duankorai!

205 lbs

Dong Uk vs Rick Rampant

This was the first 100% rated fight of the night. Rampant used his superior wrestling skills to take this fight to the ground anytime he pleased. Uk wins the first round, Rampant with second, but it didn’t make it past the third. Even with the victory, Uk treated Rampant’s lifeless body worse than I do to my ex girlfriends, “Uk points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off”.

Result: 0:54 of round 3 KO (Punch) Dong Uk!

155lbs

Tournament Winner vs "Erfiður" Ragnhildur Haraldsson

Without a doubt, this was the clear cut Fight of the Night winner. Another 100% percent rated fight and this one was a barnburner. No time was spent on the ground, and even though Haraldsson was rocked in the second and knocked down twice in the third, he kept fighting hard. Great heart displayed by both fighters. After Harldsson got knocked down the second time, Winner landed 6 consecutive punches to end it all, with four seconds left.

Result: 4:56 of round 3 TKO (Strikes) Tournament Winner!

135 lbs

“The Mick” Donnie O Brien vs Gus “The Bus” Dengel

Sub of the Night goes to…Saturday Night Grandpa Fight! 100% rated by anonymous judges, this fight turned out to be an old man wrestling match. Dengel went for his best nuggy attempt, “Dengel is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game”. That’s way old school. Dengel won the first and second round but couldn’t control the old veteran Brien in the third. Dengel won me over in his post-fight loss speech, “I'm an older fighter with over 50 career fights ... no excuses I am always looking to win ... hopefully I have a few more fights in me for the fans” . I hope so too Dengel. I hope so too.

Result: 1:22 of round 3 Submission (Armbar) Donnie O Brien!

Co-Main Event

155 lb UNFC Title Fight

Delphino “The Slippery Dolphin” Atlantis vs Connall Chulainn

Another correct finish and winner call by yours truly. The title bout scheduled five, five minute rounds, went less than one. This was a competitive fight on the ground. “The Slippery Dolphin” got a taste of his own medicine, being on the receiving end of a back mount. Atlantis persevered though, becoming the first Unleash Fighting Championship Lightweight Champion.

Result: 4:40 of round 1 Submission (Triangle Choke) Delphino Atlantis!

Main Event

145 lb

Ferdinand Cortes vs Donald “Tusk” Donkey

UNFC – 003 Donkey vs Cortes came to a close with a quick one sided battle. Donkey seemed off tonight landing only strike. Cortes continued his streak of finishing fights and maintains perfection in his MMA career. Post-fight, Cortes represented his real income, sponsors, “Ferdinand Cortes very nearly forgot to thank Milwaukee's Best 160”. Do I get anything for posting here?

Result: 1:15 of round 1 TKO (Strikes) Ferdinand Cortes!

Thank you to all the fighters for an awesome night of fights from Hayashi’s Lounge at UNFC Tokyo – 003 Donkey vs Cortes. I correctly predicted two fight winner and finish combos. If I wasn’t a gambling man, I’d have a lot more money. Talk shit on our Smack Talk Thread, write on your fighter bios, or PM me if you want anything on our next Preview/Review show.

UNFC - 004 Jay vs Lansky

Konnichiwa! Sevoro Del Bosque here, reporting live from Hayashi’s Lounge, in Tokyo, Japan, for UNFC – 004 Jay vs Lansky. The local Japanese talent is on display Saturday as we have 7 Japanese fighters scheduled to compete. Our main event features former FNPFC Champion, Juicy Jay, fighting “The Jew” Meyer Lansky for our Heavyweight Championship Belt. Now, let’s go to our first fight of the night.

170 lbs

(0-0) Goro “The Samurai” Masamune vs (0-0) Nursultan Nasarbajew

This is a typical striker vs grappler match up with the Japanese fighter, Masamune, looking to keep the fight on the feet. Frankly, Masamune is better off in a mental institution than in a cage. “The Samurai”, is stuck in the 17th century, “Thinking himself a samurai in modern times”. Masamune will need to hold on to whatever sanity he has left, if he wants to survive against the dangerous Kazakh ground fighter, Nasarbajew.

Prediction: Masamune by 1st Round KO

185 lbs

(0-3) Musashi “Ronin” Miyamoto vs (1-2) Yuri “Karate Kid” Nakamoto

This is a battle between old school and new school Japan. Twenty five year old Nakamoto, is a Tokyo native and will be fighting fellow countryman, nineteen year old, Miyamoto. I believe we will be treated to a stand up war with the Muay Thai advantage going to Nakamoto and the boxing advantage going to Miyamoto.

Prediction: Miyamoto by Decision

185 lbs

(2-1) Fujiyama Akagano vs (0-1) Ole Bighead

What kind of name is Ole Bighead? I will be the first one to say it; Ole Bighead’s parents probably hate him. Now that we have that out of the way, I think Ole Bighead’s…big head and granite chin will outweigh Akagano’s big heart. I’m calling KO of the Night right here.

Prediction: Bighead by 1st Round KO

205 lbs

(1-0) Ardel Ariola vs (1-2) Toyoki “TK” Kawamura

This will be a tough fight for the Japanese fighter Kawamura. Ariola from Monaco has the age, size, reach, wrestling, and boxing advantages. Kawamura will be tested in all ways martial arts, but I wonder whether the home field advantage will be enough to get “TK” the victory.

Prediction: Kawamura by Decision

170 lbs

(5-3) Takamura “The Slayer” Mamrou vs (4-5) Itsu “The Blade” Hitigaki

“The Slayer”, coming off a title fight loss to the 170lb champion Choe, looks to rebound his career against fellow Tokyo native Hitigaki. The crowd should be going crazy for the two hometown boys. “The Blade” is a determined fighter with a significant Muy Thai advantage. “The Slayer” will be hard to put down though, as he has both a good chin and knock out power.

Prediction: Mamrou by Decision

205 lbs

(3-0) Salim Ayeh vs (2-2) Ed “La Crotch” Fazio

I’m calling Fight of the Night right here! Salim Ayeh from Ghana is an undefeated Muay Thai specialist who is both intelligent and skilled on the ground. Italy’s Fazio and his “fists that could down a giant” should be able to present a big test for Ayeh. This is a great fight between two very skilled fighters. I’m flippin a coin here.

Prediction: Fazio by 2nd Round TKO

170 lbs

(3-0) LeRob Jinks vs (7-1) Andy Carroll

We have another crazy fight here! Jinks has three consecutive submission victories while Carroll has three consecutive knockout victories. Carroll would win easily if this was soccer, but it’s MMA dammit! I see Jinks’s granite chin and ground skills holding up against the more experienced Carroll.

Prediction: Jinks by 2nd Round Submission

135 lbs

(18-7) Eric “The Bulldog” Bing vs (15-20) “Blitzkrieg” Helmut Doerner

Word around the street is that we are closing the 135 Grandpa division. I am a big fan of the oldies’ and I am definitely sad to see them go. In this Saturday Night Grandpa Fight, Britain’s own 30 year old, Eric “The Bulldog” Bing will be looking to avenge his loss in this rematch of prehistoric proportions against Germany’s 33 year old, “Blitzkrieg” Helmut Doerner. “Blitzkrieg” is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and submitted “The Bulldog” last time they met in the second round…I can’t honestly see this going any differently. Sub of the Night here.

Prediction: Doerner by 1st Round Submission

Co-Main Event

170 lbs

(9-1) Silvean “Sniper” Maxiq vs (4-3) “Twin Fists of Fury” Adam Schmierer

In our Co-Main Event, we have a Swiss fighter Silvean “Sniper” Maxiq, looking to break into number one contender status against New Zealand’s own,” Twin Fists of Fury” Adam Schmierer. “Sniper” is, in my book, a solid top five welterweight fighter. Winner of a QFC tournament and holding a four fight win streak, Maxiq could be in line for a title shot with this win. “Twin Fists of Fury” wants to break those hopes and prove he belongs with the best in our 170 pound division. Schmierer enjoys gardening and is good in bed. Great for his wife, but maybe not for his MMA career.

Prediction: Maxiq by 1st Round KO

Main Event

265 lb Title Fight

(11-0) Juicy Jay vs (5-1) “The Jew” Meyer Lansky

Juicy Jay held the FNPFC Heavyweight Belt and defended it twice before UNFC Tokyo came into fruition. American Juicy Jay needs to fight the fight of his life if he wants to continue to be King of the Mountain here at Unleash Fighting Championship. Poland’s, “The Jew” Meyer Lansky came from humble beginnings, being a Jewish immigrant. Lansky will need the Jewish mentality of acquiring wealth and success to dethrone the proven king, Juicy Jay. It’s hard to bet against Juicy Jay if he decides to spam head kicks as Juicy Jay holds 5 head kick KO victories! Like always though, I will give my money to “The Jew”.

Prediction: Lansky by 1st Round Submission

This has been Severo Del Bosque reporting for Unleash Fighting Championship Tokyo. Tune in to UNFC – 004 Jay vs Lansky! Hit up our Smack Talk Thread and you could win 10k with our Smack Talker of the Month Award. Good luck to all the fighters. Sayōnara!

UNFC – 004 Jay vs Lansky Review

Konnichiwa! Severo Del Bosque here, recapping a momentous event at UNFC – 004 Jay vs Lansky. This event brought so much excitement, not only in the fights themselves, but in the aftermath as well. Lansky has started his new reign as Heavyweight Champion, and also we have a Number One, 170 lb, contender fight lined up due to the results of UNFC – Jay vs Lansky. Let’s get to the fights.

170 lbs

Goro “The Samurai” Masamune vs Nursultan Nasarbajew

“The Samurai” is definitely mentally unstable. For a good laugh check out his entrance music, Mama. The Japanese fighter and self-proclaimed samurai, likes Chinese and Korean Pop Boy Bands...So many things wrong here. As noted by an anonymous manger, I am horrible at picking fights. What I thought would be a striker vs grappler match up, turned into both fighters wanting to take it to the ground. Masamune is a crazy man, taking down a superior grappler, and losing on all judge’s score cards 26:30. 100 % rated fight…

Result: Unanimous Decision Nursultan Nasarbajew!

185 lbs

Musashi “Ronin” Miyamoto vs Yuri “Karate Kid” Nakamoto

As predicted this was a great back and forth battle, with the fight taking place everywhere possible. “Nakamoto stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Miyamoto. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Nakamoto”, Blow for blow, the fight between old school and new school Japan went all three rounds. In the end, old school won, and the defeated Miyamoto gave his respect, “sorry :( he was better... I'll be back!”.

Result: Unanimous Decision Yuri Nakamoto!

185 lbs

Fujiyama Akagano vs Ole Bighead

100 Percent rated fight with Ole Bighead coming through as expected. The only way this could have gone better for Bighead, is if he would’ve won by head butt KO.

Result: 1:15 of Round 1 TKO (Punches) Ole Bighead!

205 lbs

Ardel Ariola vs Toyoki “TK” Kawamura

This was another exciting all around battle. “TK” put out punishing kicks and clinch work, while Ariola went to town on the ground, landing 23 ground strikes. Ariola’s ground work won him the decision.

Result: Unanimous Decision Ardel Ariola!

170 lbs

Takamura “The Slayer” Mamrou vs Itsu “The Blade” Hitigaki

You know that awkward moment when you show up at a place, wearing the same thing as someone else? Well, “The Slayer” and “The Blade” showed up with the same entrance music. And to make matters more awkward, Hitigaki was, “staring across the cage…tweaking his nipples”. Aside from the weird introduction, this was a good, 100% rated fight. Mamrou pulled the old Rope-a-Dope, getting smashed the first and second round, but turning it on later in the third, to win the Knock Out of the Night Bonus.

Result: 1:10 of round 3 KO (Punch) Takamura Mamrou!

205 lbs

Salim Ayeh vs Ed “La Crotch” Fazio

Moral of this story is; don’t get in the clinch with Ayeh. Fazio landed three takedowns in the second round, but the first and third were ruled by Ayeh and his never ending clinch punches. 100% rated fight, with Ayeh landing 49 clinch strikes.

Result: Unanimous Decision Salim Ayeh!

170 lbs

LeRob Jinks vs Andy Carroll

If you thought by now, I should have at least one correct prediction, then obviously you haven’t looked at my betting stats. I counted Carroll out completely, but his skills and character shined bright in this one, “Carroll bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him”. Carroll was interviewed post-fight in our Smack Talk Thread, where he respectively acknowledged his win, “Jinks is a dangerous grappler… It would be disrespectful for me to come in here, demanding a title shot after one fight, so I feel like I just need the one more to prove my worth as a title contender”. People say the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I say the badass wheel gets the grease and, Andy Carroll is the badass wheel. UNFC Owner JDCruz Lakay promised Carroll, “Silvean Maxiq is next for you Mr. Carroll, who ever wins will get a title shot ”. When the boss is happy, we’re all happy.

Eric “The Bulldog” Bing vs “Blitzkrieg” Helmut Doerner

In our Saturday Night Grandpa Fight; Grandpa Doerner forgot to take his medicine! “Blitzkrieg” went full Blitzkrieg, with a major slam to start off a vicious combination of ground work, “Doerner has picked Bing up - he's going for a ride! Doerner dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud”. Doerner then spammed submissions and ground strikes ending the fight as brutal as it started.

Silvean “Sniper” Maxiq vs “Twin Fists of Fury” Adam Schmierer

“Schmierer has chosen Down in Dunedin by Pissd Chris/Tokie Konez/Kamasuda/Devil Keyz as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd”. I’m with the crowd on this one, Schmierer’s entrance music sucked. Maxiq proved he belongs at the top of the Welterweight division, winning Fight of the Night in the process. Both Maxiq and Carroll had 100% rated fights, and both will be fighting for a shot at the Champion Choe in their next bout.

Result: 0:52 of Round 1 TKO (Strikes) Silvean Maxiq!

Juicy Jay vs “The Jew” Meyer Lansky

Lanksy quickly Jewed his way into a clinch, where he cut Juicy Jay up and served him Kosher style. “The Jew” took to our Smack Talk Thread, where he challenged heavyweight contender Mike Monday. Monday responded to Lansky, “ what the hell is "getting jewed"? Sounds like some kind of gross sexual thing”. I can assure you that being jewed is not a sexual act and if it was, it would be very disappointing and short. Lansky was kind enough to offer a further explanation of the term jewed, “You'll see what "getting jewed" means if only you would win your upcoming fight.” Monday has a fight ahead of him, but with the victory, this could turn out to be a great heated future title fight.

Result: 4:38 of Round 1 TKO (Strikes) Meyer Lansky

In my opinion, UFC – 004 Jay vs Lansky was the most fun and successful event we’ve had so far. Thank you to everyone who hit up our Smack Talk Thread and put in great fights. Does anyone want breakfast, because I laid an egg this event. For UNFC – 004 Jay vs Lanksy, I predicted no winner and style combos correctly. We had six 100 Percent rated fights and I love the direction this organization is going. Keep it coming guys! Thank you, from Severo Del Bosque here, at Hayashi’s Lounge, for UNFC Tokyo, Sayōnara.
