stpierrecanada
I am unable to edit the above post for his interview......? I cannot post any words? weird. http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13981232176991.jpg. Click picture to link to profile! "At 7'5", 300lbs, Jack Calypso is a big bad Red Belt in BJJ, and is an Olympic Wrestler for the USA and has two Olympic Gold Medals. He also holds the record for most ADCC tournaments won at 18 combined in the Openweight and Super-Heavyweight divisions and holds an ADCC record of 166-6. He is widely regarded as one of the best grapplers and wrestlers of all time. Coaching with Team Burns, Running his own BJJ gym. He also is tied for most World (Mundial) BJJ Titles at 10." "His record currently stands 29-15, and he is the former CFL SuperHeavyweight Champion, FN SuperHeavyweight Champion, Evil Empire SuperHeavyweight Champion and former BMP SuperHeavyweight Champion" LETS HAVE A WORD WITH JACK. "At 41 years of age, how do you feel? How long will you continue fighting?" Jack "I want to keep fighting until I can't fight anymore. I will continue to coach and run my gym until the day I die, but I want to keep fighting as long as I can stay relivant in the Tycoon world." "Is it true that Garik Harlomov is refusing to fight you for a 4th time?" Jack "Absolutly, I have been calling him out forever. I made him tap out and then I gave him an immediate rematch followed by a third fight, all of which I was dominating him. He spammed subs and caught me, and now he is running scared and admitting it as well. The hell with that guy, I don't have time for ducks, Harlomov proved he is #2, and I'm #1 as far as grappling goes." "Who do you want to fight next?" Jack "Well, I have beaten everyone I've faced in BMP, I lost twice to both Harlomov and Kovelenko but also beat both of them. I just redeemed my loss to Boykin, and I got revenge for my team mate and training partner DOM DIEGO, who Simon Williams got lucky against. Thankfully I came back from a knockdown like usual and put him to sleep, so I don't have much more to prove at all. 1 fight left with BMP and then I want some big fights, thats it" "Lastly, with all your accomplishments already there under your belt, what more do you want to accomplish in MMA or grappling?" "I want to help my team, run my gym and continue to have fun, thats it.. My chin is getting thin, but I'm still winning. I will compete in grappling tournaments forever, I am preparing for Mundials next month to try and make it 11 Titles now."

stpierrecanada
"My first opponent declined, Boykin. He did not want a third and deciding fight between us because he is scared...The Harlomov fight has been offered and accepted by Jack, now we wait to see if "The Duck" Harlomov will fight me again and stop running away." http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13981232176991.jpgJACK CALYPSO
stpierrecanada
http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13981232176991.jpgJACK CALYPSO "Finally, the fight is set. Harlomov has been ducking me for months since he got lucky, making every excuse but now there is no where to run to. You got lucky, twice after I beat you down. You're a scared man Garik Harlomov, and I'm going to beat you into retirement. My teammate Dom Diego kicked your ass last fight for 2 and a half rounds before you got lucky again. You're luck has run out, it's long gone like your career."
stpierrecanada
A swing and a miss from Calypso. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/takedown.gif Harlamov scores with a takedown into Calypso's guard. Harlamov won't allow Calypso to sweep him here. Harlamov postures up. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/sub2.gif Calypso is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Harlamov has his hands clasped together but Calypso extends and breaks Harlamov's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Calypso.Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jack Calypso!http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13981232176991.jpg"Finally, I got my revenge on Harlomov, he ducked me for to long and I had to make the most of this opportunity. I proved I am on a different level then him, I dominated that fight start to finish, stuffing all of his take downs and letting him get the last one when I jumped guard and arm-barred him immediately. I had him mounted multiple times and his face looks like a truck hit him.I didn't want to leave BMP, I like the org and I was Champion there. The ownership was good to me and I remember that, but I don't know if there is much more for me there, or in the sport of MMA in general.I have redeemed a lot of my losses, and all my recent ones, so I am happy and satisfied. I am contemplating retirement.Maybe a fight or two for big money before I go out heh?"
stpierrecanada
http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13981232176991.jpgJACK CALYPSO "I have called it a career and officially announced my retirement. I am 42 years of age and have been doing this my whole life. I made my MMA debut at 18 and signed to Bradley Burns' management when I was 21. I got my 30th win and I beat Harlomov in my last fight. I got to hold the CFL, FN, Evil Empire, and Baddest Man on the Planet Championships. I got revenge on all my recent losses by beating Boykin, Kovelenko & Harlomov. I am proud and happy of what I have accomplished.BMP offered me a Title shot but I am not in mental or physical condition anymore to fight.I love coaching and I will run and manage my full time gym and also be helping run Canadian Elite Bruins Gym and am keeping my job there. I may have a few BJJ tournaments left in me, but as far as MMA competition, I'm retired for good. My 7'5" frame cannot handle it anymore and I'm very happy with the way I am going out. Much love fans."
